    Part of me is still trying to figure out what to say about Falcone's. I ordered their stramboli and a drink ($10 and some change) It was huge and was served piping hot with a tub of sauce. It was ok. I'm sure that people that love meat - peperoni especially- would love this entree. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. I did like tha sauce, and the service was great. They had lots of salads that you can order by the pound, I presume and pizza by the slice, and delicious looking desserts. I definitely will be back to try pizza sometime, since we seem to be serious pizza lovers as of late.

    Ironically, we got better customer service from the cook than the female cashier. She didn't seem to have a clue what was going on but was reasonably friendly. The pizza was ok. I was disappointed that they didn't have a thicker crust. It is better than little Caesars but not nearly as good as Hideaway. I did think it was a bit overpriced. I could eat it again but I don't have to.

    My fav pizza food truck was on a 40 minute wait so I swung by Falcones because now I was determined to get pizza by the slice, dang it! I hadn't been for a few years, since I moved to Dallas. I'm torn. Love supporting local. Love pizza. The pizza is pretty good and the slices are huge buttttt I still cringe a little when I pay almost $9 for 2 slices. No drinks no sides just pizza. Staff is friendly though. And it's a great little spot. Just something about the price tag gets me!

    Walked into the place after not being back for a long time. No more Italian specialties. No more pizza by the slice. No more of the best toppings (ricotta, kalamata olives, etc.) No specialty pizza list. No sandwiches. Canadian m---er f--king bacon!? I LITERALLY made this EXACT face, as an instinctive reaction, after I looked at the menu board.

    Love this place since they first opened. I believe they have new owners but the service is still outstanding everytime. Food always tastes fresh and hot. They also have freah canolli.

    We used to go here often when Danny still owned the place and liked it. So after New York Pizza closed their Edmond location and this Jersey gal was jonesing for a few slices, we decided to head on back over to Falcone's and see what the new ownership brought with it. While they were super friendly and the place looks way brighter and cleaner, the pizza has taken a change of course. It is no longer NY Pizza...it's OK but it's not what we went there for. First off, it had WAY too much sauce on it for a NY pizza and the crust was far too flat...the crust is just flat. Disappointed in the pizza, but we did think the lasagna looked pretty good and may go back and give that a try in the near future. For now, two stars based upon the pizza.

    LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! The people always remember me, which is a huge bonus. My husband and I always get a large pepperoni pizza to go. We love the delicious pepperoni with the slightly crispy crust, plus the right amount of cheese and sauce. My husband also really likes their stromboli. We have only dined in once, but it was still delicious. The place is always clean, and they have delicious desserts. Once when my pizza was taking a little longer to crisp up, they gave me free dessert while I waited. Who does that these days?!

    We get no cheese and extra sauce BC of lactose intolerance and this gives us a chance to really taste the sauce and quality if ingredients. This sauce is sooo good and we haven't been able to get anything close at home. Fantastic service and thanks for the fruit for my honey for dessert while we enjoyed the cannoli's! Love this neighborhood pizza place, thanks for everything and keep it up!

    It feels like home eating here. The staffs are friendly and the owners are nice. I like that they have TV's so we can watch the game while eating. I've never had anything other than their supreme 14 inch and breadsticks every time I come. It's pricey but hey, it's delicious!

    Falcone on N May - everything is better with new owners since mid 2014. Very good customer service. A little pricey. Love the new drive thru but their Phone not working. I told them & a week later still not working.

    Very good food, and excellent service. One of the new owners, Paul, was there. He was very nice and ensured we had a great experience. My wife and I each had a calzone, the other people with us split a Stromboli. Paul also gave us samples of the pasta and desserts. Everything was very good.

    I like being able to know I can go to a restaurant, get outstanding customer service, a meal made from scratch, and not spend $50 for two to eat. I uploaded a photo of the menu. This is for anyone who may have missed that Falcone's does do pizza by the slice as well as having Canadian bacon as a pizza topping. Now the old Falcone's may have had different options than the under new management Falcone's but sometimes you got to change it up, keep it fresh, and cut the [fat]..... If you have ever owned/ran a business then you would understand the importance of this. Now for a review of the awesome food we ordered and didn't order. For Leslie likes surprising her guests with special treats. Once again when we entered in to this establishment Leslie, was there, with her bright smile welcoming us. We looked over the menu and decided, everything was made fresh to order. I ordered the tomato basil pasta to start. My husband and I were going to share this but then Leslie surprised us, another pasta salad to accompany the tomato basil salad, both were equally delicious. She came over to check on us, and since we are BIG FOODIES we got in to a meatball discussion, and before I knew it I had a hot and fresh meatball to try. Let me tell you, I am VERY picky about meatballs, normally I do not care for them, but this..... This meatball was fantastic, I will definitely come back for the meatball sub! That meatball was a nice little appetizer.... Then our entrees came out, so hot you could see the steam just rising above the food! Need less to say we are always satisfied when we eat here.... No complaints here! Just happiness and full bellies.

    We had lunch here over the weekend for the first time since the new owners took over. I was not excited about going back because the last experience we had was beyond bad. My husband was persistent that we go anyway. (We had no idea that ownership had changed) It was obvious walking in that lots had changed. The place looked much cleaner, they actually had fountain drinks and the tables were covered. It looked really nice and the pizza was AMAZING! Tasted like the original Falcones that used to be in Bricktown. The guy owner came out and talked to us, thanked us numerous times for coming in and was extremely friendly. He wanted to make absolutely sure that we had a great experience. And we did. We will be back for sure!!

    I'm surprised by the negative reviews! I'm here now on a "snowed in" day and the pizza is still fresh .I had the Stromboli and it was tasty. The woman working the front is also very sweet. Oh yeah and a comment from 8 days ago said they no longer sell pizza by the slice it's a lie!

    It was my fiancé first time so they let us try the homemade meatballs, they had a great flavor and the sauce was really good too. I had the personal pizza which was full of flavor without being super greasy and he had the Stromboli that was stuffed with meat, veggies and cheese! The food was great and the service was even better. We also enjoyed the puzzles at the table while we waited on our food!

    After looking all over this city for some decent pizza, multiple people recommended this place, so decided to give it a shot. I first tried hideaway as they claim to be best in oklahoma, which after going there couldn't imagine why....but after looking at the population size I understood why. So this place claims to be NYC style pizza. Not even close, it's warmed up store brand pizza at best. Yet again overly sweet sauce, too much cheese and not thin and crispy. I might as well have gone to the OKC fair if I wanted this type of pizza. At best this is bad NJ Boardwalk Pizza. Oh and pizza doesn't even cost $3.50 a slice in NYC....the audacity, especially in this city, and for bad food. From what I hear, owner is apparently trying to make it a little more upscale. Great idea! So instead of upping the decor and serving good food, let's just charge more money!

    Really really really great pizza! I usually prefer a thick crust but this place is spot on! Probably a good thing it's a ways from my house or I would be 50 pounds heavier!

    Used to be my favorite pizza place. Not even a SHADOW of its former self!! New owners are disgracing Danny's name. AWFUL is an understatement. They also refuse to give refunds! Management is HORRIBLE! do not eat here!!

    It is sad all the negative reviews on Falcone's Pizzeria; it seems things must have changed since I worked at this location over five years ago. I have to say that I haven't been there in a couple months but after experiencing real pizza in Italy, I've realized this is as close to authentic Italian pizza as it gets in Oklahoma City. They have some great subs and the meat is sliced fresh right when you order. All the salads (tomato & mozzarella, pasta, octopus) are made fresh daily, and I can personally attest to this. Danny, the owner of Falcone's, is a great guy with high standards so I will have to go check it out for myself in the future and see what has changed. ...Where else can you find cannolis in OKC?!

    Falcone's Pizzeria is under new management, but has the same EXPERIENCED cooks that produce the SAME pizza cooked to PERFECTION!!! And the new management has cleaned and painted the restaurant. The Food is delicious-if you like yummy pizza- and the staff is welcoming and friendly AND the price is very reasonable! I will eat there every chance i get!!!!!!!!!!

    Much better pizza now that the ownership has changed. We quit going for awhile, but decided to try again after paying $$$$ for Hideaway and getting less pizza. So so happy it's good again.

    What's not to love? The laid back atmosphere, the friendly staff, the great pizza (seriously try the cheese), wonderful deli sandwiches, and the fried mozzarella. Oh.my . amazing. You've never had cheese this good. We go quite often.at a couple of bucks for a slice and a drink, it's fast, easy, and yummy without being too much more than a boring sandwich from home. Just try it, you'll like it!

    Ok I'm not a big Italian food guy, but this place puts some freakin yum in whatever they're making. I had a meatball sandwich and a slice of cheese pizza, both were delicious. The setting was cool. We sat in the NY baseball room. I'm not a Yankee fan, but I appreciate the atmosphere. I didn't want to admit I liked it because it would prove my wife right, but dang, it was good.

    Could it be? Have I found NYC pizza in the middle of OKC? I didn't dare dream that it was a possibility. I tried disguising my almost unnatural anticipation and hope (read: crazy longing) when I drove up and walked in. The pizza can be sold by the slice. It's advertised in big red letters on the exterior. The pizza looked like a NYC pizza slice. Yes... I did test it by looking at the cheese and the crust (at eye level) and folding it while I ate. It was good. I'll return. I'll drag my spouse there to see what he thinks because I need a 2nd opinion. This dream, this impossible quest may be over. I was disappointed they didn't throw my slice into a large pizza oven first. It was already warm (maybe it was freshly baked?). Their cannoli was a-okay. I've got 2 of their meatballs waiting for me in my fridge. I'm a little scared of eating them. If this place is that good... well, then anything is possible. :-D

    We picked up a pizza and garlic knots to go while visiting friends in OKC. The meatballs on our pizza were awesome. The knots were unlike anything I'd had before. They have a pretty sweet taste to them that I wasn't expecting. They were well worth the $1.50 we paid for the order. Baseball fans should sit in the "Yankee Dugout" section. I'm no Yankee fan, but I certainly appreciate their history and who doesn't love Mickey Mantle?

    Falcone's has good New York style pizza and one of the few places in OKC that has Sicilian pizza. The sandwiches are good too with fresh ingredients and unique Italian meats & cheeses that are hard to find in OKC. If you get a sub then ask for the condiments on the side unless you want a glob of mayo all over your sub. Also, pass on the spaghetti & meatballs because that plate is below average. The meatballs are huge, but aren't seasoned well. However, since I'm a Yankee fan and a mobster movie fan I dig the decor at this lil' pizza joint and I have to give it a high review. Try the chocolate cannoli for dessert. It's a perfect way to finish your meal. Oh yeah...Bada Bing!

    Great people... Food was just ok... nothing too special.. I had the italian ice and it was good and the canoli was good as well. Great people.. very welcoming the staff was super friendly.. I have not had their pizza I had the chicken Parmesan and it was just OK Cucumber salad was very very good

    We came here for a team luncheon and it was super small inside for our big team! They were super busy, the soda was flat & the pizza was terrible, especially for the price we paid for a slice of pizza...

    The pizza looked good, but I didn't try it here. I've eaten at the Falcone's in bricktown and it has been wonderful, so I thought this location would be similar. I was wrong and will never return. The waitress/order taker at the front had the personality of a doorknob with intelligence to match it. She was unfriendly and I found it sort of rude how she started to take our order then walked down to the end of the counter and just stood there staring blankly forward. We stood where we began to place the order for a bit until realizing that she expected us to walk down to the end and replace our order there. No problem with walking at all, but she could have said something to us at least. It's not difficult to say "If you'll just come down here, I'll continue taking your order." Anyways, that's not my big complaint. My big complaint was paying $8 for pasta that was just noodles and marinara. It tasted one step up from Chef Boyardee, had no cheese, vegetables, or meat. Wow. To think it took her 15 minutes in the back to make it just adds to my disbelief. Maybe the noodles were fresh, but they lacked friends on the topping. The lasagne was only 'ok' and it looked like leftovers reheated in a microwave. Baked Ziti--super dry bottom, not much on top. Once again, a lot of noodle, a little accompaniment, and a large price. We won't be going back to this place. Like I said, the pizza looked good, and the downtown Falcone's has always been great, but this location is definitely off.

    i've been back many times since my first review and the last several times, the taste has been somewhat off...the pizza just doesn't taste the same or as good anymore...must have changed hands...the crust is too thick and doesn't have the nice consistency it had before...the sauce tastes different...it's very tart and a bit too one-dimensional...no flavor...even the staff is different =( 2 dangling stars for the polipo salad which is still very good and continuing to carry the orange pellegrino... won't be returning soon...

    If there is one recurring thing I miss about living in Oklahoma City its the delicious stromboli they make at this location, topped off with a chocolate canoli. Small parking lot, somewhat of an intimate setting, depending on if you are sitting in the back room or the front, and lots of characters working in the kitchen. I am making it a point to stop by here next time I pass through.

    Like eating in NYC except that it's clean, the service is slow, and everything tastes fresh. Their ads get an attitude about pronunciation, so I went expecting NY attitude, but of course the staff are dazed Okie kids. Great selection of Italian meats and amazing hand-made cheese sticks, and superb pizzas. Superb red sauce. The original on May is pretty disorganized unless founder Danny is there. They usually make a mistake, but make up for it with a discount or free food. The Bricktown location is more consistent. This place really sold me on NY-style Italian, especially since I don't have to put up with New York to get it.

    Ordered a mushroom pizza. Canned mushrooms. Inexcusable for the price. Do not recommend. Also, the tired Goodfellas and Godfather soundtracks blasting and the cliched "Italian" vibe is just dumb.

    The short: Really good Italian food for a reasonable price in a nice enough little joint decorated with autographed mafia movie posters. The staff won't win congeniality awards, but they're approachable enough. The long: I read that this place used to be a converted Taco Bell, and I can barely tell, what with an entire exterior wall painted in the Italian flag's colors and the interior filled with warm wooden booths and furniture, and mafia movie posters and stills everywhere. If that didn't clue us in as to what kind of place this was, then the little deli counter filled with meats, cheeses, antipasti components, and house-made cannoli will! When we walked in, a guy popped out of the kitchen behind the deli counter and asked if he could take our order. After a look at the menu on the wall, I ordered the pasta with gravy, and my boyfriend ordered . . . I was skeptical when my $8 plate of pasta (no, not a wallet breaker, but hardly Fazoli's cheap) arrived on a Styrofoam plate. The gray looked plain--just marinara. I doubted that there'd been any magic worked by the cooks in the kitchen. WRONG. Looking back, I feel comfortable to rant as I wonder why it's so hard for places to cook a good pasta noodle. Falcone's was perfect. A lot of people seem squeamish when they think al dente: "doesn't that mean ... hard? Or undercooked? Bleh!" No! Perfectly cooked pasta, cooked al dente, should have a bite to it, without threatening to bite back. And it's not cooked until it's lifeless and virtually not even there, like, like NONFOOD! It should have toothsome and be friends with the sauce--not be just a boring behind-the-scenes vehicle to carry it. And this sauce ... no, I'll do the place justice and call it what it is--gravy--it was delicious. The perfect thickness to stick to the noodle without clumping to it or sliding off ineffectually. Not so acidic that it threatens to burn through my guts, but still so perfectly tomatoey and fresh tasting. Our half-chocolate, half plain cannoli was fine, too, using the traditional ricotta filling. Slightly sweet, slightly tangy from the ricotta, in a kinda crisp shell (they're prefilled instead of filled to order, so they can only be so crisp). Overall, Falcone's gave me more than I expected, and I left wanting to try more. I hear that their pizza, also sold by the slice, is great, too. The next time I'm in OKC, I plan to go back for a piece!

    Good pizza, but not great. Everyone always seems confused about where to order when you walk in the door. Head right. The stromboli's are good and full of ricotta cheese, but they need to provide some real silverware to cut them. The salad is mediocre at best. The pizza is always good. I come back because its cheap and easy, but never am that satisfied when I leave.

    My boyfriend and I discovered this restaurant a few years ago before the other two locations (in Bricktown & Edmond) opened. Driving by, the place looked like a hole in the wall. Inside we were pleasantly surprised by fun & casual Italian American restaurant. The inside has brick walls covered with mafia movie posters and the top ten reasons to get "whacked" (think of things like asking for low-fat foods, dipping your pizza in ranch, or asking if they are in the mafia). The counter service is fast and friendly. On a recent visit, the night manager waited on us patiently and answered questions about various items. The place is always busy and family friendly. The real kicker about Falcones is the food. Almost everything is homemade--pasta sauce, pizza, calzones, and stromboli. They serve hot and cold deli sandwiches with imported meats and cheeses. Food lovers can delight in prosciutto, ricotta, fresh mozzarella, and many other delights you won't find at the grocery store. These and other Italian specialties like octopus salad or canollis may be purchased. Falcones brags that several of their specialty items can't be found anywhere else in the city. Rice balls are an interesting appetizer--although I think they could be improved with more cheese. The meatball subs are my boyfriend's fave. Everything is good and worth trying once! With the success at the May Ave. store, Falcones added a store in Bricktown in the corner building by Harkins Cinema. This building has never been able to keep one place very long, but I'm betting Falcones will be around for quite some time. Although the menu and concept are the same, I still love the small crowded original best.

Tasted like the original Falcones that used to be in Bricktown. The guy owner came out and talked to us, thanked us numerous times for coming in and was extremely friendly. He wanted to make absolutely sure that we had a great experience. And we did. We will be back for sure!!

    I'm surprised by the negative reviews! I'm here now on a "snowed in" day and the pizza is still fresh .I had the Stromboli and it was tasty. The woman working the front is also very sweet. Oh yeah and a comment from 8 days ago said they no longer sell pizza by the slice it's a lie!

    It was my fiancé first time so they let us try the homemade meatballs, they had a great flavor and the sauce was really good too. I had the personal pizza which was full of flavor without being super greasy and he had the Stromboli that was stuffed with meat, veggies and cheese! The food was great and the service was even better. We also enjoyed the puzzles at the table while we waited on our food!

    Used to be my favorite pizza place. Not even a SHADOW of its former self!! New owners are disgracing Danny's name. AWFUL is an understatement. They also refuse to give refunds! Management is HORRIBLE! do not eat here!!

    It is sad all the negative reviews on Falcone's Pizzeria; it seems things must have changed since I worked at this location over five years ago. I have to say that I haven't been there in a couple months but after experiencing real pizza in Italy, I've realized this is as close to authentic Italian pizza as it gets in Oklahoma City. They have some great subs and the meat is sliced fresh right when you order. All the salads (tomato & mozzarella, pasta, octopus) are made fresh daily, and I can personally attest to this. Danny, the owner of Falcone's, is a great guy with high standards so I will have to go check it out for myself in the future and see what has changed. ...Where else can you find cannolis in OKC?!

    Falcone's Pizzeria is under new management, but has the same EXPERIENCED cooks that produce the SAME pizza cooked to PERFECTION!!! And the new management has cleaned and painted the restaurant. The Food is delicious-if you like yummy pizza- and the staff is welcoming and friendly AND the price is very reasonable! I will eat there every chance i get!!!!!!!!!!

    Much better pizza now that the ownership has changed. We quit going for awhile, but decided to try again after paying $$$$ for Hideaway and getting less pizza. So so happy it's good again.

    What's not to love? The laid back atmosphere, the friendly staff, the great pizza (seriously try the cheese), wonderful deli sandwiches, and the fried mozzarella. Oh.my . amazing. You've never had cheese this good. We go quite often.at a couple of bucks for a slice and a drink, it's fast, easy, and yummy without being too much more than a boring sandwich from home. Just try it, you'll like it!

    Part of me is still trying to figure out what to say about Falcone's. I ordered their stramboli and a drink ($10 and some change) It was huge and was served piping hot with a tub of sauce. It was ok. I'm sure that people that love meat - peperoni especially- would love this entree. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. I did like tha sauce, and the service was great. They had lots of salads that you can order by the pound, I presume and pizza by the slice, and delicious looking desserts. I definitely will be back to try pizza sometime, since we seem to be serious pizza lovers as of late.

    Ironically, we got better customer service from the cook than the female cashier. She didn't seem to have a clue what was going on but was reasonably friendly. The pizza was ok. I was disappointed that they didn't have a thicker crust. It is better than little Caesars but not nearly as good as Hideaway. I did think it was a bit overpriced. I could eat it again but I don't have to.

    Ok I'm not a big Italian food guy, but this place puts some freakin yum in whatever they're making. I had a meatball sandwich and a slice of cheese pizza, both were delicious. The setting was cool. We sat in the NY baseball room. I'm not a Yankee fan, but I appreciate the atmosphere. I didn't want to admit I liked it because it would prove my wife right, but dang, it was good.

    Could it be? Have I found NYC pizza in the middle of OKC? I didn't dare dream that it was a possibility. I tried disguising my almost unnatural anticipation and hope (read: crazy longing) when I drove up and walked in. The pizza can be sold by the slice. It's advertised in big red letters on the exterior. The pizza looked like a NYC pizza slice. Yes... I did test it by looking at the cheese and the crust (at eye level) and folding it while I ate. It was good. I'll return. I'll drag my spouse there to see what he thinks because I need a 2nd opinion. This dream, this impossible quest may be over. I was disappointed they didn't throw my slice into a large pizza oven first. It was already warm (maybe it was freshly baked?). Their cannoli was a-okay. I've got 2 of their meatballs waiting for me in my fridge. I'm a little scared of eating them. If this place is that good... well, then anything is possible. :-D

    We picked up a pizza and garlic knots to go while visiting friends in OKC. The meatballs on our pizza were awesome. The knots were unlike anything I'd had before. They have a pretty sweet taste to them that I wasn't expecting. They were well worth the $1.50 we paid for the order. Baseball fans should sit in the "Yankee Dugout" section. I'm no Yankee fan, but I certainly appreciate their history and who doesn't love Mickey Mantle?

    Falcone's has good New York style pizza and one of the few places in OKC that has Sicilian pizza. The sandwiches are good too with fresh ingredients and unique Italian meats & cheeses that are hard to find in OKC. If you get a sub then ask for the condiments on the side unless you want a glob of mayo all over your sub. Also, pass on the spaghetti & meatballs because that plate is below average. The meatballs are huge, but aren't seasoned well. However, since I'm a Yankee fan and a mobster movie fan I dig the decor at this lil' pizza joint and I have to give it a high review. Try the chocolate cannoli for dessert. It's a perfect way to finish your meal. Oh yeah...Bada Bing!

    Great people... Food was just ok... nothing too special.. I had the italian ice and it was good and the canoli was good as well. Great people.. very welcoming the staff was super friendly.. I have not had their pizza I had the chicken Parmesan and it was just OK Cucumber salad was very very good

    We came here for a team luncheon and it was super small inside for our big team! They were super busy, the soda was flat & the pizza was terrible, especially for the price we paid for a slice of pizza...

    The pizza looked good, but I didn't try it here. I've eaten at the Falcone's in bricktown and it has been wonderful, so I thought this location would be similar. I was wrong and will never return. The waitress/order taker at the front had the personality of a doorknob with intelligence to match it. She was unfriendly and I found it sort of rude how she started to take our order then walked down to the end of the counter and just stood there staring blankly forward. We stood where we began to place the order for a bit until realizing that she expected us to walk down to the end and replace our order there. No problem with walking at all, but she could have said something to us at least. It's not difficult to say "If you'll just come down here, I'll continue taking your order." Anyways, that's not my big complaint. My big complaint was paying $8 for pasta that was just noodles and marinara. It tasted one step up from Chef Boyardee, had no cheese, vegetables, or meat. Wow. To think it took her 15 minutes in the back to make it just adds to my disbelief. Maybe the noodles were fresh, but they lacked friends on the topping. The lasagne was only 'ok' and it looked like leftovers reheated in a microwave. Baked Ziti--super dry bottom, not much on top. Once again, a lot of noodle, a little accompaniment, and a large price. We won't be going back to this place. Like I said, the pizza looked good, and the downtown Falcone's has always been great, but this location is definitely off.

    i've been back many times since my first review and the last several times, the taste has been somewhat off...the pizza just doesn't taste the same or as good anymore...must have changed hands...the crust is too thick and doesn't have the nice consistency it had before...the sauce tastes different...it's very tart and a bit too one-dimensional...no flavor...even the staff is different =( 2 dangling stars for the polipo salad which is still very good and continuing to carry the orange pellegrino... won't be returning soon...

    If there is one recurring thing I miss about living in Oklahoma City its the delicious stromboli they make at this location, topped off with a chocolate canoli. Small parking lot, somewhat of an intimate setting, depending on if you are sitting in the back room or the front, and lots of characters working in the kitchen. I am making it a point to stop by here next time I pass through.

    Like eating in NYC except that it's clean, the service is slow, and everything tastes fresh. Their ads get an attitude about pronunciation, so I went expecting NY attitude, but of course the staff are dazed Okie kids. Great selection of Italian meats and amazing hand-made cheese sticks, and superb pizzas. Superb red sauce. The original on May is pretty disorganized unless founder Danny is there. They usually make a mistake, but make up for it with a discount or free food. The Bricktown location is more consistent. This place really sold me on NY-style Italian, especially since I don't have to put up with New York to get it.

    Ordered a mushroom pizza. Canned mushrooms. Inexcusable for the price. Do not recommend. Also, the tired Goodfellas and Godfather soundtracks blasting and the cliched "Italian" vibe is just dumb.

    The short: Really good Italian food for a reasonable price in a nice enough little joint decorated with autographed mafia movie posters. The staff won't win congeniality awards, but they're approachable enough. The long: I read that this place used to be a converted Taco Bell, and I can barely tell, what with an entire exterior wall painted in the Italian flag's colors and the interior filled with warm wooden booths and furniture, and mafia movie posters and stills everywhere. If that didn't clue us in as to what kind of place this was, then the little deli counter filled with meats, cheeses, antipasti components, and house-made cannoli will! When we walked in, a guy popped out of the kitchen behind the deli counter and asked if he could take our order. After a look at the menu on the wall, I ordered the pasta with gravy, and my boyfriend ordered . . . I was skeptical when my $8 plate of pasta (no, not a wallet breaker, but hardly Fazoli's cheap) arrived on a Styrofoam plate. The gray looked plain--just marinara. I doubted that there'd been any magic worked by the cooks in the kitchen. WRONG. Looking back, I feel comfortable to rant as I wonder why it's so hard for places to cook a good pasta noodle. Falcone's was perfect. A lot of people seem squeamish when they think al dente: "doesn't that mean ... hard? Or undercooked? Bleh!" No! Perfectly cooked pasta, cooked al dente, should have a bite to it, without threatening to bite back. And it's not cooked until it's lifeless and virtually not even there, like, like NONFOOD! It should have toothsome and be friends with the sauce--not be just a boring behind-the-scenes vehicle to carry it. And this sauce ... no, I'll do the place justice and call it what it is--gravy--it was delicious. The perfect thickness to stick to the noodle without clumping to it or sliding off ineffectually. Not so acidic that it threatens to burn through my guts, but still so perfectly tomatoey and fresh tasting. Our half-chocolate, half plain cannoli was fine, too, using the traditional ricotta filling. Slightly sweet, slightly tangy from the ricotta, in a kinda crisp shell (they're prefilled instead of filled to order, so they can only be so crisp). Overall, Falcone's gave me more than I expected, and I left wanting to try more. I hear that their pizza, also sold by the slice, is great, too. The next time I'm in OKC, I plan to go back for a piece!

    Good pizza, but not great. Everyone always seems confused about where to order when you walk in the door. Head right. The stromboli's are good and full of ricotta cheese, but they need to provide some real silverware to cut them. The salad is mediocre at best. The pizza is always good. I come back because its cheap and easy, but never am that satisfied when I leave.

    My boyfriend and I discovered this restaurant a few years ago before the other two locations (in Bricktown & Edmond) opened. Driving by, the place looked like a hole in the wall. Inside we were pleasantly surprised by fun & casual Italian American restaurant. The inside has brick walls covered with mafia movie posters and the top ten reasons to get "whacked" (think of things like asking for low-fat foods, dipping your pizza in ranch, or asking if they are in the mafia). The counter service is fast and friendly. On a recent visit, the night manager waited on us patiently and answered questions about various items. The place is always busy and family friendly. The real kicker about Falcones is the food. Almost everything is homemade--pasta sauce, pizza, calzones, and stromboli. They serve hot and cold deli sandwiches with imported meats and cheeses. Food lovers can delight in prosciutto, ricotta, fresh mozzarella, and many other delights you won't find at the grocery store. These and other Italian specialties like octopus salad or canollis may be purchased. Falcones brags that several of their specialty items can't be found anywhere else in the city. Rice balls are an interesting appetizer--although I think they could be improved with more cheese. The meatball subs are my boyfriend's fave. Everything is good and worth trying once! With the success at the May Ave. store, Falcones added a store in Bricktown in the corner building by Harkins Cinema. This building has never been able to keep one place very long, but I'm betting Falcones will be around for quite some time. Although the menu and concept are the same, I still love the small crowded original best.
