I was visiting friends from OKC when we decided to try Charleston's because we saw all the great reviews. I can say that it definitely didn't disappoint! Staff: The staff was really friendly and fun. Our waiter was comfortable with joking around with us and he really made it a fun and cozy experience. Food: We tried the spinach and artichoke dip as an appetizer - YUM. It was basically the perfect consistency and delicious! As an entree I tried their Oven Roasted Chicken because our waiter told me it was the best chicken he'd ever had. I was skeptical about this until my plate arrived and I dove into the deliciousness myself. HOLY MOLY that thing was good! Perfectly seasoned, and it went great with the garlic mashed potatoes as well! The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was their seasoned rice - I would've probably gone with another side dish if I could go back! Also, it's important to keep in mind their portion sizes are GIANT. I took half of my food home that night! I also tried a bite of the Chicken Fried Steak and their steak and both tasted fantastic as well. Drinks: Long Island Iced Tea was huge and perfectly made. Atmosphere: It's a dark, cozy atmosphere. Probably not a great idea to bring a bunch of loud kids or anything. Not super formal (although I guess you could come formally dressed if you wanted to!) but mostly everyone was dressed rather casually! I would highly recommend people check this place out whenever they're in OKC! I know I'm going back next time for sure!

This place is amazing. I had the steak special with glazed carrots and it is the perfect taste of the grill and sweetness. Recommend 100%

We decided to try this place as it was close to our hotel and got pretty good reviews. I made a meal out of the shrimp cargot and a side of angel hair. It was amazing!! We had 2 people order the shrimp scampi, one loved it, the other did not. It is EXTREMELY lemony, so if you are into that, then the dish is for you. Only downside for us was that they were out of every fish except 1, and the soup had sold out for the evening. Decent place to take any age, plenty of sandwiches for teens and pretty good kids menu.

I gave Charlestons 4 stars because: I went in on a Thursday night and sat at the bar. The waitstaff was very nice and attentive. Pat introduced himself and very helpful. I asked what he recommended, the NY Strip special or the 14 oz Prime Rib. He said prime rib and that's what I ordered. It was perfectly cooked and delicious. It came with au ju and horseradish. The loaded baked potato was a great touch as well. The starter salad and bread were also great, not many place offer a side salad with so much in it. The prices were fair, Idk why people are complaining about this place being expensive. Also the beer selection was good. Overall I really can't find anything to complain about with this restaurant except for the limited appetizer choices. Tortillas and queso doesn't fit the style of the restaurant, this is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5.

I don't usually stay near the OKC airport, but I had an early flight. Charleston' was close and what a good choice. I had the smoked salmon which came with steamed vegetables and both were outstanding. Also ate at the bar and service by Eddie and Michaela was outstanding. Guess on my next trip to OKC I will have to stay near the airport regardless.

Came here with family and the food was delicious. Service was awesome too. Would definitely recommend to any locals or anybody visiting OK.

Easy to find location close to local hotels and airport. Very nice ambiance with easy listening jazz playing. Rustic modern motif with a great view of the whole restaurant. Started my meal with a Cesar Salad, was excellent. Just the right amount of fresh cracked pepper added to the dressing. Though I am not a fan of crunchy bread crumbs they had a very nice seasoning. Sam was my waitress and was extremely attentive and very thoughtful. Ask for seating with her, she is excellent! The main course of chicken fried steak was delicious. Great flavors and was well prepared. Must try menu item, take some home or share with a table mate. The baked potato soup which is always on the menu was flavorful and rich. I was completely satisfied, and after all things considered the price was very fair. You are looking at prices without alcohol around 20 per person.

This place was superb. We started with the spinach dip,one word excellent. The prime rib, house salad, and everything baked potato was excellent. Wife had oven roasted chicken with mashed potatoes. Excellent. We had a great meal, price not bad $55, and fast great service. We will do this restaurant again and tell our friends. Great job with yelp app.

This is my first experience with a Charleston's restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. The chicken fried steak was really pretty good (be sure and ask them for the gravy on the side), and for dessert we split a giant piece of outstanding homemade key lime pie. Very good meal. I'll be back,

This place doesn't look like a fancy steak house from the outside but there filet was spot on. Very delicious.

My husband and I are on our way cross country and we stayed over night at the Hampton Inn next door. Charlestons was recommended by an OKC native and it didn't disappoint. I ordered the Blackened Chicken Caesar Salad and my husband ordered the Chicken Fried Steak. I honestly ordered something safe because I thought this was a TGIF - type place but I was very pleasantly surprised. The chicken was juicy and had a ton of flavor, the romaine lettuce was crispy and the Caesar dressing was fantastic. I ate the entire salad and it was enough to satisfy but not too much where you want to take a nap. The Chicken Fried Steak came with glazed carrots and mashed potatoes. My husband said it was the best Chicken Fried Steak he's had in a long time. It came with a savory and creamy gravy and my husband requested more because it was so good. We ate in the bar area because we were in a hurry and I think we were in and out of there in 45 minutes on a Friday night. I couldn't believe it. All in all I would go back again and again. Wonderful place.

Was in OKC for business and staying near the airport. Ate dinner at the bar and thought the chicken fried steak and fried okra were delicious. Bartenders were busy but nice and attentive. Only negative feedbacks were that the bar area was too dark, and the TVs were hard to see. Otherwise a reliable restaurant if you're not from OKC.

This was a great dinner joint. We were starving when we went and had an appetizer in front of us promptly. The art and spin dip was delicious, full of flavor, served with a side of sour cream which was odd and I had never seen and yummy salsa with a generous portion of chips. I had the flatbread pizza which was decent, just a little dry. My daughter had the Mac and cheese which she described as good but "too cheesy" for what that's worth and my husband had the Reuben and coleslaw which he wholeheartedly enjoyed. Service was slow but it was Friday night. I would go back!

This place was great, had good food and excellent customer service. Depending on what you get, the food here can either be the best you've had or not the greatest thing you should have ordered. Their ribs and burgers are for sure the best to order, and their shrimp cargot is a must try. I ordered my mash potatoes thinking that I didn't want to indulge myself in fried foods I was quite disappointed. The mash potatoes aren't plain, they are mixed with many other ingredients that I can't remember but I knew it didn't taste so good. It was pretty sour to taste so I'm guessing there were sour cream. Eventually the waitress I had came to check on us and I brought that to her attention. She didn't hesitate to ask what I would like instead and brought my fries out immediately. I'd definitely recommend this place to try though.

I few coworkers of mine decided on lunch here while on a work trip. All of us are here from Los Angeles- but I believe I just had the best kale salad of my life while eating at Charleston's. I highly recommend this restaurant! It's certainly easy to please a crowd when eating here. Now, how can I get this salad when I'm back in LA???

Solid 4.5 star restaurant. This chain is slightly overpriced but the quality is there. The enchiladas aren't that "Mexcellent" but they are pretty good in a cuisine way...not the Hispanic authentic kind. The mushrooms can come burgundy or sautéed and my waiter highly recommended the sautéed version, I sure Am glad I went the sautéed route because this with the best thing on my table. Recommended

My wife and I went here with no expectations and everything was perfect. To start the restaurant has a nice ambience and can be romantic or professional. We were immediately attended to by our friendly waitress and that set the standard for the whole visit. Our drinks from the bar and appetizer came quickly and finished plates were cleared just as fast. The menu choices provided a good variety and were all reasonably priced for quality made dishes. In total the service was above and beyond the current industry standard and the food was well prepared and prompt. Highly recommend!

Charleston's is by far one of my favorite restaurants. Every time I come here the service is top notch. Servers are always attentive, they quickly clear your plates from the table. The food is just amazing. The Prime Rib is a must try. And the croissants that come with the salad are just as good. I'm not a bread person either, but I do look forward to them. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. You will not be disappointed!! Bon appetit

Yelp needs a minus star review setting for this restaurant. Beer was nine dollars a glass. We had four different people who told us they were serving us. It was like serviced by committee. I ordered soup salad and a beer. The salad was above average, The soup was cold, and the beer was nine dollars for one glass. If you're just coming in off the road and you're looking for your fair share of abuse this is your place enjoy.

I had the salmon that was recommended to me by brandy and it was great! The service was excellent and it was a short walk from the Hilton Double Tree! I'll go back again!

I am vegetarian so I struggled here. I ended up ordering a house salad and side of mashed potatoes. It was just what I needed for a quick lunch however I'm not sure what I'd do for a dinner. The herb vinaigrette was delightful, the crossiant was warm and flaky. It's kind of a no go for vegetarians unless you don't mind sides and such.

Second night in a row for me. The fillet minion is sooo tender I was afraid to hurt it! Sit at the bar and let Eddie take care of all your needs. The special came with cajon shrimp that accented my fillet. The croissant is like candy!

This is one of my staples when I was in OKC. I ate multiple meals on my trip here. The one thing I love about this place is the service. The service here is top notch, espically at the bar where I took most of my meals. The bartenders had been great about making food suggestions including turning me into a fan of Prime Rib. The thing is here, even when they are super busy, they make it a point to let them know you are wanted here. As I mentioned before, the Prime Rib is amazing, just a juicy high quality piece of meat. If you are in OKC, please check this out. Easy to get to from all the hotels, and just a general joy to eat at.

One of my favorite restaurants! Went for lunch today and tried the loaded baked potato with the toast beef on croissant. The potato was definitely loaded and I had to box up the sandwich. The potato had real bacon pieces, cheddar cheese, chives, and sour cream...DELICIOUS!!! I took my sandwich with me and just ate it a few minutes ago and it was delicious as well. A light, buttery croissant filled with roast beef, lettuce, tomato, Swiss cheese, and mayo...that was the best sandwich I've had in a long time! Not a bad item anywhere on their menu!!

I have been coming to Charleston's my whole life, and I cannot think of another more reliably good restaurant in the metro area. It is a great place for a date, a large group, a special occasion or a weeknight thanks to its menu variety and style. This location in particular is a family favorite for the first stop on the way home from the airport. I love that it is just dark enough to feel cozy and it rarely feels too loud. The servers are by & large well-trained and helpful without being overbearing. You are unlikely to have an empty glass or a finished plate in front of you for very long--that's just not how they roll! I am yet to have something there I don't love--the soups, especially their signature baked potato and Thursday's chicken tortilla are perfect for this recent round of chilly weather, and the salads (house and entrée like Walt's champagne chicken salad) are perfect accompaniments. Since we do eat here pretty frequently, I try to stick with lighter things like the fish-- the salmon is one of my favorites in town, and pro tip: grilled or blackened tilapia is always available even if it isn't on the menu and with a side salad or two it is always more than enough for sharing. Charleston's also has to-go down to a science, which is nice when you want a night in without having to cook, but I will always prefer the atmosphere, service, and overall experience of dining in here.

I give this place a 1 star because all the hype is complete bull. This place is at best average. The price is above average. The service was average too. I got a ribeye steak and it was not good all. Coleslaw was average. Salad was basic and something i can get anywhere else. I do not recommended this place, however I'm not from Oklahoma so my taste maybe above this States standard.

Charlestons is good. They have one of the best chicken fried steak around if not the best. The spinach artichoke dip is good. The fish is also good. One thing I've noticed that the Chicken Ceasar Salad isn't on the menue any more. The price is kinda high but the staff is great.

While my friend and I were driving cross country, we stopped in Oklahoma City. It was her birthday so we wanted a nice meal. We went to Charleston's on the good yelp reviews. We were not disappointed! Our server Abigail, was fantastic. Our rib eye was cooked exactly how we asked. Even the wine that was suggested by Abigail was great. If you want a great meal, I highly recommend Charleston's

Our family loves this restaurant and we eat here regularly, especially when we have guests visiting from out-of-state; however, our last visit left a bad taste in our mouth. We often order the soup & salad as our main course, and - as is customary for such an order - the salads are brought to the table first before the soup, and are also brought out at the same time as the main courses of our guests with whom we are eating. This custom fell apart during our recent visit: The soups were brought out first as an appetizer, leaving our guests to stare at our meals. When asked why the salads weren't brought out first as is customary, and also at the same time as our guest's dinners, we were told by serving staff "it was more convenient for the cooks this way." (Direct quote.) More convenient?! We couldn't believe what we just heard. Our guests were as shocked as we were. The soups were kindly removed and the salads were promptly brought out, but again our guests were left without their meals - their mouths watering as they saw our fresh, but inconveniently-made, salads sitting before us. There was no offer of any bread or appetizer "on the house" in order to tide them over until their juicy steaks arrived. We love Charleston's, but may think twice about returning with guests until our wounds have healed over that bizarre service. Charleston's must realize that their service should be convenient for their guests, not for their cooks and wait staff.

Had just finished a 9 hour drive from Memphis, TN, and was looking for something good to eat. Found this place, 0.2 miles from the hotel, and had a great dinner. Highly recommended! Good food, good beer, great service.

I've been twice already in a one week stay in OKC. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SO AMAZING. I mean, AMAZING. We've had ribs (so, so, so good) and salads (equally as good). The glazed carrots and super delish on their own. And that news pudding is outta this world good. This place will be in the rotation for us when we are down here.

Charleston's has a full service Bar and booth seating in the bar area as well as a main dining area. The Main dining area is quiet and gives you the impression of quiet seclusion. This place is good for a big group as well as a nice date night. Its a steakhouse so of course I'm going to recommend the steak. The one thing you don't realize till you order the salad is their Croissants. First time I went to Charlestons, a guy ordered a plate of extras. None of us understood till we tried them. DELICIOUS! The place is a bit pricy depending on what you order but not horrible for a steakhouse. You get what you pay for right?

In Oklahoma for 2 weeks of training, I stopped by this place for dinner after class. I sat at th bar and, as my phone was dying, the nice bartender plugged it in to charge it for me. I also like that there were 3 bartenders that were all helping each other so any of them were glad to get you something or help you. Anyways, to the food! I ordered the top sirloin steak with garlic mashed potatoes with a caesar salad. The salad was fantastic - crispy with just the right amount of creamy, fantastic dressing. Even the crutons were unique and scrumptious. It came with a warm fluffy, just-baked croissant, which I thought was a little odd but also delicious - it was drizzled in some sort of sweet honey-ish sauce too, which was a nice touch. My "garlic mashed potatoes" were amazing (and a very generous portion!) - there are some ingredients in there that weren't advertised on the menu (scallions, onions, etc), but I found the combination to be fantastic! Lastly, my (medium) steak was cooked to perfection - it was plump, juicy, and had that wood-fired finish to die for. The only thing I thought was a little strange was that it kinda of tasted of like barbecue sauce... Anyways, all and all it was a great meal - reasonably priced and delicious! Recommend giving it a try.

The shrimp scampi and spinach artichoke with chips was delicious! The tortilla soup on the other hand was a little on the salty side. My waitress kindly removed it off my ticket so no harm done. Restaurant was very clean and lighting is very dim. Relaxing place to eat and staff is very friendly.. I will return again for another meal.

Still coming here whenever I'm staying near OKC. The prime rib steak sandwich continues to be excellent. Small but decent draft selection at the bar. Good service, good food.

Charlestons is a consistent restaurant that is probably a favorite for those who do not get home cooking. The prices versus quality is where I have an issue. I left hungry after spending over $20..... Could have had a top quality steak at home for much less and gotten full. That said, my wife absolutely loves Charlestons. She is a big fan of the salads. We come here often with friends as it is close and easy. You wont leave with a bad taste in your mouth as the food is always good. Again, price and portions are the only things I cant give top marks....

Stopped in for a quick dinner at the bar while in town on business. The bartender was very attentive and the Short Smoked Salmon was way better than I could have hoped for. I'm considering having it again while I'm in town. Delish!

Nice place. Cool staff. I had their Chicken Fried Streak. My experuence: I sat at the bar. Had a local IPA to drink. Called up a salad house w/ blue cheese. Ordered their Chicken Fried Steak . Ordered a water. Ordered a Coffee. Ordered a Carmel Nut Browny Sunday. Called an ambulance. To die for.

My friend and I had dinner here. My cheese burger was very delicious. The croissants were so fresh that my friend decided to take the rest home. Service was excellent and they were very helpful with helping out a couple non locals with finding things. The ambiance is a little dated but it was still lively and comfortable. I would come back again.

This place throws out a tasty prime rib. On a scale of Outback to Red Prime, it's a nice easy medium on the scale. It's not terribly pricey, and the steak is pretty darn good. That being said, this is more of a family place than Deep Fork and Red Prime. I'm cool with this, because they don't make any attempt to hide this. I appreciate it, since Cattlemen's does. The staff and service are well done, and it help curve a craving for steak without having to drop $200 on dinner.

The other day I ate across the street from this place at Shorty Smalls. The contrast couldn't have been greater. The staff were attentive without being obtrusive and the food was great. Charleston's is part of a corporate chain, but it doesn't suffer from that "sameness" that so many corporate places fall victim to. It's obvious that the management here (and that's a reflection of corporate attitude) cares about this place. What about dinner, eh? I was greeted and seated straight away. When I said "I needed some light so I could read" I was seated at a table that was perfect. My server showed up within seconds and was never far for the rest of the meal. She was there, but not hovering. Just right! One thing I like was that ALL the servers payed attention. There wasn't any of that "It's not MY table so I can ignore it" attitude. Everyone looked after me. I got the 14 ounce prime rib done rare. I was asked about horseradish... they had BOTH creamy and raw. You don't see that very often! The meal came with a salad as a starter. I got the Caesar, and it tasted pretty darn close to the one I make at home....though they should have topped it with some whole anchovies (hey, I had to write at least ONE negative)! Great touch... a hot croissant on the side. FRESH and light as a feather. Not bad... not bad at all. The meat was a perfect rare, as requested. It has a rub of rosemary and sage. Unique and tasty. The garlic mashed potatoes were spot on. All in all... a damn good dinner! I wrapped it up with some coffee and a nice talk with both the manager and general manager. Their attitudes explain a lot of why this place got such a high rating from me. They listened, and they asked questions. The corporate overlords are lucky to have folks like this working for them. My recommendation? Go! It's not a fancy-pants gourmet place, and it's not cookie-cutter corporate clone. It's a good solid we-have-great-prime-rid kind of place. Like I said... not bad, not bad at all!

The steak and salmon way over cooked !! Rubber Salmon !! The serving staff is very nice and I think they have all good intentions, but for the money they charge they got to get it right !! I really think that the management and cooking staff let their front line down. The kitchen does not deliver and management seems not to listen, as comment was that's the way everybody likes well done in Oklahoma. Again, servers are great, they just need the kitchen to deliver!!

When I read the previous reviews I was unsure about this place, however I thoroughly enjoyed. The food was good, I had the grilled pork chops with seasonal veggies and fried okra. The service was great, I was dining alone so I sat at the bar and Mikeala and Michaela were very pleasant. I would recommend this place.

It's always a treat to get to have lunch with either one of my dear parents. Today, my dad was helping me run some errands and get some major things off the proverbial to do list, and we stopped at Charleston's for a quick lunch. The portions are so big, we split the chicken avocado club with fries. Plenty of food for two people (certainly for lunch and really probably any time of day if we're not overdoing it) and not that much more than it would have been had we both gone all out at a fast food joint. It was delicious on fresh baked bread with melted swiss and fresh bacon. Yum. There's no telling how many times I've been to Charleston's. The soup and salad makes for a great meal (house with champagne vinaigrette or creamy garlic and the baked potato soup). They also have an outstanding hamburger and one of my favorite steaks in town. Watch the board for yummy seafood specials, and this is one of the only places in the world I ever eat chicken tenders. When my grandfather was still alive, even though he often didn't eat much, he loved the chicken fried steak here and would eat a huge portion when we would bring him here. Add to all of this a great wine list, seasonal draft beers, a decent selection of bottled beer, and a standing rule to never leave a tea, water or soda less than half full. Factor in good appetizers and a decades-long commitment to great service at affordable prices, and we're lucky to have had as consistently good of a restaurant as Charleston's. As the standard of food quality, ambience and service increases in OKC, we have Charleston's and Hal Smith to thank for raising our collective consciousness. Note: I've made it a rule to leave the honey croissant alone. It is delish but if you get a salad with creamy dressing, cheese, and that croissant, you probably could have had a burger and fries for that calorie bomb. At least you'd know you had a calorie bomb and not feel the need to pat yourself on the back for a 'good choice'.

My wife and I went on a Thursday night and absolutely loved it. The ambience and service were excellent. We ordered the chicken club salad and tortilla soup. Both dishes were DY NO MITE! We ended up ordering another bowl of the soup. We're visiting from Chgo otherwise, we'd eat here all the time.

Ate here for lunch on business. Typical American food. It was nothing extraordinary. One thing I don't like are the portions are so huge, every meal is at minimum 1,000 calories. They need to get a lunch menu with smaller portions. I had the turkey burger and only ate half of it. We had queso as an appetizer which was very tasty for a non-Mexican restaurant. I would give it another shot when back in town for business as it's one of the few local places around the area I work.

Solid place. Great food. Salmon is highly recommended. Drinks are good as well. A little noises so it's not romantic but not unbearable.

Tried to go to the Texas Road House...Am I the only one that didn't know they don't open until 4pm? Hang on let me check the ones in TX......Ok, guess I am. I could have sworn we ate at one in Denton TX and It was like 3pm...Hmmm. In any case we did not go to TRH because it was closed. SO, went to Charleston's to get my steak on. But upon ordering the waiter made a great case for the lunch special, fish and chips. So we changed our minds and had that. Weeeeell almost, they came back later and said they were sorry but they had run out, out of the cod that is. They said they could make it with catfish....yuk. We just ordered a burger, halved to share, finished our small salad and left. Not a great lunch in the city like we had hoped. Started with shopping at the outlet mall. WHAT A RIPOFF! That's in another review though. Back to Charleston's. Ummmm, not bad service except for the fish screw up. They were very nice about it. The burger was not good, mediocre at best. The side salad was ok, just lettuce and a few standard veggies. Good stinky Blue Cheese dressing though. We also had the Spinach Artichoke dip which was Ok. Not much Artichoke in it...A-ok because the food was decent nothing special, the service was hit and miss but overall ok. We will try again so I can get a good overall rating and hopefully upgrade to a 4.

It was a good place to eat around here. I had the Oven Roasted Chicken (Good and juicy), with the Garlic Mashed Potatoes (Good).

Burger was pretty good it was completely packed on Friday the gin and tonic I had was somewhat watered-down so I given an average rating with the high-quality on the food. went back second time had pizza which was good. very clean place for area ( this is key) always ate in the bar which was quick to seat and good service

Charleston's is good at all of their locations. Their service is great and I love their menu even though it is kinda small. You won't be disappointed with anything you order and the atmosphere is casual but upscale at the same time.

We stopped at Charleston's for a late dinner on Friday night. There was no hostess at the front and the bartender wouldn't make eye contact. My first thought was Oops, this is a mistake. My husband finally found a member of the wait staff and ask to be seated and she was very accommodating. As she started into the dining room with us, the hostess came running up...apparently she was having her own dinner. I know it's late folks and we've all got to eat, but don't leave the front unattended! Thankfully, everything improved after we were seated! Brittany was our server and she was great -- friendly and very informed about the menu. I ordered the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and baked beans. OH YUM! They have the best mashed potatoes EVER! The chicken was moist and well seasoned. The beans have a hint of chili powder and are delicious. My husband ordered the roasted chicken and baby back ribs combo. He swapped the sides to carrots and baked potato. It was a lot of food and all wonderful. The carrots are delicious! Our food arrived quickly and it was hot. We will definitely be back the next time we're in OKC!!

My visit to Oklahoma city last week gave me a chance to try couple of new restaurants. Firs of I had a steak dinner from Charleston and I'd say I was dissapointed by their steak. Being in Oklahoma I'm thinking I should be getting fresh steak and cooked to perfection... but No.. It was hard as a rock. I'd say my house margaritas... were really good (just don't mention to my boss)... The place was packed and the service was good as well.

Good food and a good time. We brought a large group in and enjoyed mostly everything. Service is dependent on the server, but most are courteous and attentive.

We breezed in here for dinner - straight from the Airport before checking in at the Courtyard Marriott. Place was very busy on a Tuesday evening. We were promptly seated. Lots of menu options. However, no local beers. Your normal mass-produced American beers are available, as well as a couple of well-known imports. I ordered the chips and queso dip, and a Blackened Chicken Caesar salad, plus a Sam Adams Noble Pils. Chips and queso were very good. Chips were fresh, hot, crispy, and lightly salted. The queso had a nice spicy kick to it. The chicken on the salad was tender and tasty and the Romaine lettuce was crisp and not drenched in dressing. Service was very good. I'd come back here again!

Cozy, dimly lit restaurant with small spotlights placed such as to keep menus and food visible. Very attentive and friendly staff, especially our waitress Mikaela. Empty glasses and finished plates are quickly filled or bussed. Caesar salads were fresh and tasty - although a bit spicier than usual. My Prime Rib was perfectly cooked and very tender, not overly fatty and just the right flavor. Baked potato was just right as were the grilled shrimp. My copilot had the grilled salmon that looked amazing, was perfectly cooked and had a great texture... But was WAY too salty. Inquiry found it to be marinated in soy sauce... Possibly just for too long. He tried his best to finish it since it was otherwise a great piece of fish - and he drank 4 glasses of water trying to do so... Prices were quite reasonable in our opinion.

nice atmosphere. clean, but noisy. when i asked server for recommendation, he didn't pick any of the specialties. i found that odd. salad i ordered was wilted - too much dressing. okra was tasty. service was good. nothing remarkable - won't make an effort to return.

Solid steakhouse fare with a nice ambiance. Quite the haven among the usual fast food suspects on South Meridian. Some interesting salads, good selection of steaks and fish and knowledgeable and attentive staff. Worth a look if in the area.

Passing through Oklahoma City my wife and I decided to try Charleston's and am glad we did. I had the catfish which was excellent. My wife had the chicken piccata, also excellent. Large portions, excellent service and close to our hotel. Will visit again.

Loved it. Best Reuben I have had in a long time. Mozzarella salad with herbal vinaigrette was totally awesome. Staff was great...no negative comments for this place.

Echoing what others said, the staff here is superb! I had the reuben sandwich and it was actually quite good. my buddy had the chicken club and he also said his sandwich was very good.... so, if you're looking for a great sandwich, that's what I can comment on. i did, however, notice several other things about the place. a.) the setting is dark enough and social enough for a good date place (i stole that from someone else's review). b.) everyone was finishing their food...they are fair sized portions, so i think everyone liked their food. c.) when i saw the chicken tenders (or strips or whatever they're called), they looked so good that i wanted to change my order. d.) the new french dip sandwich looked loaded....probably should've gotten that instead.

Charleston's is like no other restaurant dinner chain. Most of my colleagues go for their burgers or steaks. However, I was in the mood for something light. I ordered the potato soup, which was good. For my main course, I ordered a spinach salad with chicken.. Very tasty. My favorite part, most fattening part, was the croissant that comes with the salad. It comes out warm, buttery, and very flaky. Yum!!! I would go back.

Stayed here in Oklahoma City across the street from Charlestons. Went there at the suggestion of the hotel staff. I had the New York Strip Steak as well as the Burgundy Mushrooms on the side. The steak was great! Perfectly cooked with a sort of smoky flavor that I couldn't put my finger on, but I loved it! The Burgundy Mushrooms were awesome and a unique item that I have never had before. The best part though, was the service. Our waitress's name was Macy and she made a good experience phenomenal! She was super friendly, very helpful and truly genuine! Don't know the next time I will be in Oklahoma City, but if I am, I will be back here for sure!

Tonight I had the Chicken Fried Steak and it did not disappoint! The CFS took up most of the plate and left a little room for the wonderful mashed potatoes and the perfectly cooked fried okra. The service was on point and if I ran out of tea it wasn't for long. I highly recommend this place as they can accommodate large groups or small without sacrificing quality or service.

The front desk told me it looked like Houston's, but you could wear jeans. Any jeans, not just True Religion or Sevens. Walking in, it did have the feel of Houston's, with dark mahogany overhead beams and brick interior. The similarities stopped there as the waiter recommended the club sandwich instead of an entree. Luckily, for him I ventured on and started with the shrimp cargot. Presented in a manner familiar to their cousins. It was a scampi with cheese. It was very delicious. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, succulent, and garlicky. Then on to the entree, my peer ordered the chicken piccata and I ordered chops. Her piccata was cooked well, but inexplicably they used old or canned asparagus for the topping. It was disappointing, so skip that. Chops rocked. Sides ok. They have to let their folks have samples, so they don't sound like morons, but otherwise good place.

The lights are low and there is SO much noise, we had to ask for our food to go. The server commented that the noise is bad because of all the wood. The onion burger was so-so, too salty for me and enough mustard for 3 burgers. The fried okra was the bomb and service (for the time we were there) was very good.

In the parking lot of my hotel, so I decided to try it out after other's good reviews. I came into town late and hadn't eaten anything all day so I was starving. I decided on the ribs and chicken combo, being that I was really hungry. The half rack of ribs were really good and lathered with sweet and spicy BBQ sauce. The chicken was roasted with herbs and quite tasty. The dish also came with garlic mashed potatoes. Big plate with good food and washed down with coronas. Never heard of this restaurant cause there's none in west Texas, but if I'm in the area I'll def head here again. April 2012

I ordered the West End Chicken because of the picture on here. It was awful! The mushrooms taste and look like they are canned, but the wait staff swore they were fresh. The cheese topping was burnt and crispy, but when described to me was supposed to be buttery and creamy. $13 for a chicken dinner... I expect much higher quality! I also ordered the clam chowder, it was also very bad. I told the waitstaff that I did not love it and was impressed at how they tried to make it right. I was going to give this place 2 stars, but because they were so nice, they earned one more. I would try it again, because of the friendliness of the staff, but probably stick to something more simple like a burger.

Great bar, Joe was a good bartender and the prices great. Dinner was cut short when the hotel called and said our dog wouldn't stop barking and was disturbing the other guests. So I really want to go back and be able to hang out longer.

I was afraid of this place from the mixed reviews, but I was stuck across the street without a car and had nowhere else to go. The fear welled up inside of me as I walked into Charleston's. I trembled as I found a table near the bar. I ordered a burger expecting the worst. Frank Sinatra and Duke Ellington serenaded us when we first met, I must admit I was still skeptical, but when I bit into you, my darling burger, all my fears evaporated like morning dew on a hot summer morning. You were just a burger of joy. Juicy and tender with a warm bun of decent quality. I savored my burger like it was the last one I would ever eat. I loved that burger during our short time together. It was magical. The waitresses all dressed in black didn't know how enamored I was, the manager couldn't know since he asked me about my meal while I was savoring a bite as he walked past. So here on Yelp I will let the world know. I loved a burger at Charleston's. It was not a sin. The moment is gone but the memory remains.

Deliciousness. I had the roasted chicken with okra instead of beans and garlic mashed potatoes. My boyfriend had the blackened pork chops ( per recommendation by our server) with the burgundy mushrooms and it was so yummy! We both enjoyed our dinner so much and we had great service in the bar area. We had the "flirtini" martinis which were SO good.... Then switched to Miller Lite. We forgot Oklahoma has 3.2 beer so we probably would have skipped the beer if we remembered that... We would definitely return on our next trip to OKC

excellent burger and the baked beans were simply amazing. I wanted to ask for an extra helping for the hotel (I bet they'd be great cold). definitely stop in here next time I'm in town. Nice and dark atmosphere, great for a date nite.

I love this place. In my travels to OK for business, I try to eat here at least once a trip. Food is very flavorful and plentiful. Ribs are some of the best I've ever had. Good wine list. Friendly staff. Somewhat dark inside which gives it that warm, rich feel. Quite affordable for what you get, and it's no secret. Expect to wait if you get there after 6.

My coworkers and I were in Oklahoma City for a conference and unsure of where to go for dinner. We decided to check with the front desk, and they recommended going to Charleston's. The bar and restaurant are all brick, with oversized wooden tables and booths; very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Decent beers on tap and the menu looked full of options. I had the Smoked Chicken Spinach Salad. This salad listed the following ingredients: penne pasta, crisp vegetables, roasted peppers, tomatoes, bacon, and herbal vinaigrette. Had I known "crisp vegetables" included raw red potatoes and chopped jar olives, I would have ordered something else. All the other entrees at the table looked good, and received decent reviews from my coworkers, but not extraordinary. If I do ever decide to go back, which is highly unlikely, I will ask for clarification on the ingredients listed for a specific dish.

Very pleased with the quality of the food and the service. Stopped here when I had a couple if hours to kill while I was in the city for business. The staff was friendly, attentive and knowledge allowing them to assist me with my selections. I had the shrimp scampi. The pasta was well cooked, plenty of fresh basil and parsley, and several large juicy shrimp. The portion was generous; I almost couldn't finish it. A little on the expensive side but comparable with other upscale restaurants. I would definitely come here again.

This place has a good atmosphere and excellent customer service.. The portions of the food were just right. However I believe the food was a bit mediocre for the prices. I can best compare this place to a pricier Cheddars.. but honestly Cheddars has better food. Great service though but I don't think it's a place I would go back to.

Stay far away from this place! So I order the 7oz steak with shrimp skewers dish, comes with one side and side salad. So right before they bring me my food, they tell me they are out of shrimp. So they bring my food anyway minus the shrimp, and the side dish had onions in it, when I told them specifically "no onions". And the tinny steak was burnt by the way. But they still wanted to charge me full price $35! But after arguing with the manager he knocked off 15 bucks! They had this attitude like it was my fault they were out of shrimp and they put onions in my food after I warned them I can't eat onions. And how hard is it not to burn a damn steak? This place sucks! Well actually it's just poorly managed. Beware!

I love the eighties - sayings like: "As always, thanks for your support" "C-C-C-C-C-Catch the wave cCoke" "Tastes great!! ...Less filling!!" and my fav.... "Where's the Beef?" I think I have the answer: Charlestons. Rushed in to get our food before the show in OKC. Ate in the bar due to both time constraints and it was very busy. Our server was amazing, gave excellent service, and presented to me the 2nd best ribeye I have eaten outside of home. Tender, juicy perfectly medium rare, almost did not need a knife to slice. Restaurant had nice decor, with an upscale feel - So glad we decided to eat here.

What a great experience! We needed to get to the airport to pick someone up, but were starving. We walked in, were greeted nicely, seated & no lie, had food in front of us in 10 minutes. Not only that, the food was amazing (get the tortilla soup) and our server, Rebecca S. was incredibly helpful, quick and nice. Btw, we had tried to get into a restaurant across the street first - but stood there for 10 minutes & no one even greeted us. Such a wonderful difference! As my youngest daughter said, 'That just made me happy!'

Easy to find, friendly staff, good food. HUGE portions. Seriously... HUGE. I read Yelp reviews that mentioned portion size so my mother and I split the chicken fried steak. The kitchen was kind enough to cut it in half for us and separately plate it, which is always a nice touch. Even half of it was too much for me; we could have split the half portion and had plenty to eat. Vegetables were a little overcooked, but not bad. Potatoes were delicious. Side salad was tasty, with a nice, warm croissant on the side. Local beer options are always a plus. Come hungry, bring hungry friends.

Pleasure dinning. Food excellent & as well as great customer service. Good thing for Yelp! Got the Flatbread pizza, can def be shared with 4 ppl. And the Kale salad with Salomon. And sautéed mushrooms, so good.

The slow cooked prime rib is a special dish that I haven't tried anywhere else. Slow cooking tends to add more flavor into the meat, and keep the tender texture. The only downside is the natural flavor of the meat, usually is the key for a nice steak, is not highlighted. I was most impressed with the burgundy mushroom, which was seasoned with wine sauce and sautéed just right. It also comes with a big portion of delicious salad and a croissant... For a dish of $22 this is almost impossible in East coast!

When in OKC I always visit Charleston Restaurant. They food and service is always outstanding. This is my Dads favorite restaurant. The portions are generous. You can split them. I always get the fried okra! If not counting calories the chicken fried steak is to get something to get excited about!

Arrived here with two other cow-orkers for dinner. The parking lot was packed. A good sign. I ordered the parm chicken and another ordered a steak. I got to sample the steak. It was sumptuous and tender. I would return for a whole one. The parmesan chicken itself was quite good. A good flavor and nice crust made every bite a taste bud celebration. I am not kidding. I felt the food was slightly overpriced. The beer/alcohol prices are already steep, but OK taxes don't help here. I found the staff to be very attentive, friendly and courteous despite the busy crowd. No complaints at all. Overall we had a very pleasant experience and found the food to be delicious. I would eat here again easily. This place deserves its four stars.
