If you are starting your meal with appetizers then make sure you skip the Classic Buffalo sauce, Honey BBQ sauce, and sweet Asian Chile sauce on your wings order. It is highly recommended to skip the appetizers if you are dining alone and instead build your appetizer keeping nutrition in check. Among the steaks, you must stay away from the Applebee's Riblets platter as well as Bourbon Street Steak at all costs. Shrimp 'N Parmesan Sirloin is also not recommended. Skip the sandwiches, wraps, and tacos as well. Desserts may be tempting but it is recommended to avoid them at Applebee's for their high sugar content. All the beverages except Iced Teas must be avoided as well to control your sugar intake.
Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

Food Suggestions to Maintain Cholesterol Level at Applebee's
Excellent Applebee's. I find myself going to Applebee's more often now because it is quite cheap for decently delicious food. But I wanted to give this location and A+ this time around because I ordered the chicken platter because my inner 8 year old enjoys chicken strips and they had if out to be fresh and delicious in less than 5 mins. Waitress was attentive to everything I needed also and it was $9 for everything.

I have been here before and the service is pretty hit or miss. Some of the servers are awesome, others are clearly ready to get off work so they can take a toke. However, the food is always good and the place always appears clean.

Went to Applebee's a couple of nights ago. The atmosphere is pretty good, for a chain restaurant. They usually have something I like. I decided to try their steak. It was okay for a non-steak restaurant. The service was a little sub-par, but overall the experience was good. They have enough things I like for me to go back.

A quick lunch stop at Applebee's found me ordering the 7 oz sirloin. I passed on the seasonal Broccoli and order 2 different potatoes. I ordered the garlic mashed potatoes and fried red potatoes. I ordered my sirloin medium rare. It came out tender for the lower cost cut of beef. It had a beefy, salty flavor that suited the cookie cutter atmosphere. The fried red potatoes were a delight with a crisp exterior and a creamy interior. The garlic mashed potatoes were a little too garlicky but had a pleasantly lumpy texture I personally enjoy in mashed potatoes. All in all I will pass on these again unless they come with a beefy gravy to counter the garlic flavor. Unfortunately my server was MIA. Applebee's is of course a national chain and it is unfortunate that they only offer the Sirloin cut of beef. Perhaps they don't feel their cooks can handle better cuts. If you are going to go there the sirloin is not bad but don't expect a very good steak experience. The fried red potatoes are well worth ordering.

Last minute decision, everything was great! The place was packed with unexpected large groups. Our server (Rodriguez) "Q", was one of the best servers we have ever had. The food was perfect as well. This is a very good start for our visit to Oklahoma!

We have been going here for years, but never again. The over all atmosphere was incredible bad. The bar tender and crew were so much into their Facebook/cellphone that they did not have time to service the patrons in the restaurant. Service was slow. Food was ok. So many employees standing around drinking energy drinks and drinking milkshakes. The whole place had such a low class feel.

Not a favorite Applebees for me. Dirty tables and so so food. The service was OK. We frequent Applebees and this one was only average.

By far the worst Applebee's I have ever been to... We were seated and it took far longer than it should have to be greeted by our waitress and get our drink order judging by how slow they were and how many servers they had on staff. We ordered from the 2 for 20 menu and asked for 2 side salads before our entrees. Our food took about 30 minutes to come out and then we had to ask where our salads were, which took about another 10. Then it took our server about 10 minutes to come get our credit card so we could leave, and the entire time she was just standing at the bar. It was all together just a really bad experience.

I normally avoid chains, especially this one. Went in because my partner wanted some chicken tenders. Walked in and was seated in the bar area. We did get drinks but that is where the service stopped. We sat for 15 minutes without being waited on. The wait staff basically ignored us and they were not even busy. They were more interested in sitting around and/or chatting amongst themselves. To make matters worse the manager walked by us several times. We got up and left. Poor service for less than mediocre food which we never got.

In town for a business trip, we walked in to this location after a long Friday of work, hoping to cap the night off with a quick cold one and a few half price appetizers. Three of us(two looking well over 21, and one very obviously not quite there) sat down at the empty bar(lacking customers & a bartender). The bartender was quick to arrive at the bar, but sharply asked for our ID's. Having not placed our drink orders yet, we were very confused. He rudely stated that patrons must be 21 to sit at the bar. After a few snappy verbal exchanges, we were made aware that this was another ridiculous Oklahoma law, and began to switch seats. We then asked if the tables surrounding the bar were acceptable. He replied, "Yes, or a booth outside of the bar!". We did choose a booth outside of the bar ... In a competitors restaurant! In less than 3 minutes, that bartender cost himself a healthy tip, and his employer future business. We will have Applebee's again, but never here.

About Applebee's
Applebee is an American full-service restaurant brand popularly known for its signature Riblets. Applebee was conceptualized in 1980 by Bill and TJ Palmer in Atlanta, Georgia. At first, the restaurant was named T.J. Applebee's RX for Edibles and Elixirs. After the concept was acquired by W.R. Grace and Company, the restaurant was renamed as Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar. Later the company and the Applebee's concept changed hands with Abe Gustin and John Hamra who started the first Applebee's franchise restaurant in Kansas City.
Later in 2007, IHOP Corp. now known as DineEquity, Inc. acquired Applebee's and began their journey together to make Applebee's the world's largest full-service restaurant chain. Today, Applebee's serves at more than 1,830 locations worldwide. The Applebee's menu ranges from Appetizers and Salads to heavy meals consisting of ribs and steak.
