This place has great food! I have been coming here for a few years now. The food has never disappointed. It gets crowded at lunch, but the flow moves quick. One of the last times I visited this place, though, was at night with a couple of friends - who are also fans of the place. We ordered our food and filled our drinks. Once our order came out, we were told that we would have to take it to go. Excuse me? It wasn't close to closing time. They explained that it was slow, and they were closing early. If I had known that, we would have gone some place else.

I've eaten greek food all my life. Being from Chicago we always had Gyros joints on every corner and we also had reektown. I tried Akropolis for the first time today and it was a little not a lot underwhelming. I read the reviews on this place literally an hour before I decided to up and go to this restaurant on my lunch break. Upon arriving I noticed a nice sized line which usually indicates that the food is FIRE!!! I ordered a Premium Gyros basket w/ fries. The restaurant was packed so they food actually took around 10-15min to get but I wasn't complaining. I parked and began to eat the fries (which people rave about) and was not moved at all by taste. The fries were half burnt and had no seasoning on them at all. The Gyros was okay but there was not a generous portion of meat and the cucumber sauce was very lackluster as well. I will give this place one more try but I do not condone eating bland gyros at all.

Kinda shady looking, but super good food and service. I think it tasted even better because it was pretty cheaply priced and the staff were friendly. Next time I'm in Oklahoma City I'll go by again for more gyros and fries. (If they served Coke products I would've given it 5 stars.) :)

The best gyro I've had outside of Greece! I really like coming here. The place isn't really fancy, but the food more than makes up for any other shortcomings. The prices are good! I got a BIG gyro (supreme) with fries and a drink for about $7.25. They have a few other things on their menu besides gyros, but I've never tried them. The fries are great, too!

Nothing fancy, just really good Gyros and great prices! They have really good flavor and the portions are very good. There is lots of seating and some larger tables for groups.

My first impression was to walk out. Kind of a dive atmosphere. Luckily I stuck around. I ordered a Gyro combo with Greek salad. Man that food was so good, totally awesome. Gyro meat was excellent. Loved the olives. I highly recommend this place for some great chow.

I absolutely love this place after finding it on my yelp app when I was in the area for training. I still have dreams about those fresh cut fries! The lunch specials are a great deal at around $7 including a drink and the portions are very filling. Your order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. There was plenty of seating that day but not a lot of parking. Neighboring lots threaten to tow, but luckily we found a spot. I will be visiting again for a gyro, delicious!

My family has loved Akropolis since as long as I can remember! The gyros are delicious and so are the fries as long as they're fresh. The stuffed mushrooms were also tasty when I tried them.

We just tried Akropolis for the first time and now I doubt we'll go anywhere else in Midwest City from now on. It was that good. It gets busy for lunch and took about 10 minutes to get our food but it was more than worth the wait. The staff was friendly and helpful with the menu for a first-timer. They accommodated my gluten-free menu change needs with a positive can-do attitude as well. We brought our one-year-old who chowed down her entire kids meal. There is also an adjoining room perfect for groups.

Had the supreme gyro meal it was good. The fresh-cut fries were awesome. Gyro meat moist and juicy, feta, pita was great. The bad thing was the tzatziki Or Greek sauce as they called it I've had better.

The food is good but not great here. Typical, fast food Greek fare. If you go at lunch time be prepared to wait. I waited 28 minutes to receive a salad after arriving at 1135, 12 May 2015. The prices are reasonable...about $19 for two entrees and one soda.

Your search for the best gyro and fries in the state ends here. I love this place. Reasonably priced with delicious gyros and great fries. If eat here three times a week if I lived closer (and did eat here at least once a week when I worked nearby). Never had a bad experience. Always great service and great food. Even when the lunch line is out the door, you can be in and out in under an hour, easily.

Food was great. Salad dressing was a tab bit bland, but the gyro meat was awesome. Glad we found this place

Absolutely GINORMOUS portions and cheap prices (about the same as the inferior "La Greek"). Seriously, get the gyro platter and be amazed at all the greek delights for you to mix and match to your heart's content. The food is a bit greasy, but in a very good, spiced, and tasty way. Best quick Greek food in OKC, be sure to stop by here if you work at the base (as I did).

Best gyros ANYWHERE. Management has changed so staff is not as friendly but who cares!!??? Just bring on the gyros!

The reason I didn't give it 5 starts was because even thought the gyro itself was amazing!! The fries with the rest of the meal kinda sucked. For fresh fries they were improperly seasoned and to stringy. I think a thicker fry with a better salt would be in order. However for the gyro itself which is why I went mine was succulent, fresh and amazing. My husband got the Philly and he enjoyed the cheesy part of it. Sadly they were out of green peppers the day we went but he it was just as good. We are going back soon to gov it another try.
