Now I cannot tell you much about the food they serve. Much too fancy for my classic all American country boy taste. But what I can tell you is they have a wonderful atmosphere. I love sitting out on the patio in he fall and winter. They are family friendly. Surprisingly they have some of the best Mac and cheese I have ever had. I told you it was a surprise. You don't expect that from such a upper class place. But hands down. They have the BEST desserts you will ever have the pleasure of putting in your mouth. We are known to go in a group and order almost every single one just so that we may try them all. Because they constantly change he menu to keep things fresh. This place has something for everyone.

My wife and I are always going to Benvenuti's for date nights. This place has a great atmosphere and is a good place to have a nice dinner with friends and family. I am partial to the caesar salad for an appetizer then going right into one of their pizzas. My wife generally gets a fish or an pasta dish. I have also had the lasagna and enjoyed it as well. They have a good wine list and the wait staff are knowledgeable about the wines to help customers. Come by and try it out!

Excellent food, excellent service. It is hard to get good Italian food in the OKC metro area, mainly just chain places. This is great Italian food but it is pretty expensive. I will go again, but it isn't a place I will go to a lot, because of the price.
We tend to take guest speakers here for work so I've been a bunch. It is one of the better high-end eateries in Norman, but I prefer the food and atmosphere at Blu. Note that there are very few good options for food in Norman. Benvenuti's changes their menu quite often and most food is decent. Occasionally they have some interesting dishes, but often the menu is hit and miss. They claim it is authentic Italian, but it is not. Rather it is quality American-Italian. Service is excellent, but the restaurant is quite pricey for what you get. Some odd-ball things here too. They run out of things. They had no sparkling water once. They were out of both the rib-eye and lamb chops the other day (at 7 pm). The portions vary wildly. The veal is huge (and too cheesy for me); the sturgeon is tiny (and way too salty).

Hard to find something to complain about here. Excellent all around. Portions are pretty big so I recommend sharing, and try an extra appetizer or salad. Probably the only downside is that the food is very very rich, nothing really healthy about this place. Still...go!

I don't think East side Norman really has that many fancy/upscale restaurants (after all its a college town), so Benvenuti's is a nice change of pace for when you want something of the finer sorts. Me and my roommate went last semester because we had a groupon and we each got pizzas and shared some truffle fries. The truffle fries were delicious! Crisp shoestring styled fries with truffle oil and bits of fresh parmeson sprinkled on top. Along with some other types of herbs. This was our favorite part and we could not help eating them. The pizzas were good, but not the best I've ever had. Perhaps its just that I do not neccessarily like "gormet" pizzas? Because my roommate liked it. However, the bottom was slightly burnt and it didn't have the crisp outside with the soft doughy inside that I was expecting. I believe we got the Margherita and the Funghi. But the ambience here is great. I think its a great place with the right setting for perhaps a fancy date.

I've been to Benvenuti's several times and its good but not as good as it was when it opened. They had a Mediterranean salad that was to die for, but took it off the menu. The lasagna was fantastic and that's a compliment coming from me because I have been cooking Italian food for 30 years at home. However, that was then, this is now. None of it as good as it was the first two years they were opened. It used to be my husbands and my first choice for our anniversary dinner, but the inconsistencies have driven us away. An entree will be great one time and awful two months later. It's like different cooks make things differently. Should not be that way at an upscale restaurant. The atmosphere has also gone downhill. Used to be quiet and romantic, now it's noisy with TV's blaring. Yikes! It's ok, but don't expect a fine dining experience.

Benvenutis is probably the nicest restaurant in Norman. The bakery there is incredible. They made my wedding cake, in fact, and it was delicious (chocolate, raspberry & white cake with raspberry preserves in between the layers & buttercream frosting with a rolled chocolate decoration, yum!). The other baked goods are great too. My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner there as well, and it was great (the risotto, which I got, was a lovely option and they even custom made some cookies for all our guests for that night!) My husband and I tried to go here on our first wedding anniversary and it was EMPTY but they wouldn't let us eat anywhere besides the bar so we left... I haven't been back since my rehearsal dinner, but maybe someday. It's fairly pricey ESPECIALLY if you order wine, so be ready to pay big $$. The place gets 3 stars from me, but if I could, I'd give the bakery there 5 stars just for being awesome and making my wedding day great.

This Norman restaurant has greatly improved, I am delighted to say. In this town of fast food and franchise restaurants, this one stands out as a one-off. And as a local who eats out often(though not early), I appreciate a place that has a regular menu which changes every so often, and in general, excellent specials. In the early days I felt as if they didn't put it all together, but now I can reliably get an well-flavored meal, in conjunction with a cozy atmosphere, and good service. I for one am glad to have this option.

Benvenuti's is the best restaurant in Norman right now, and as far as I know, ever. First of all, Benvenuti's takes reservations, which is fantastic. And, the only time I went, I found they keep them. Myself and a friend ate together on a Friday night. The place was nearly full, but we were seated immediately in the bar area. The interior is very comfortable. It's appointed well, but not to the point you are uncomfortable or its stuffy. The menu is not enormous (which is a good thing), but it has quite a bit of variety. To start, we decided on the Fornarina, which is bread baked with focaccia, mozzarella, ricotta, and truffle oil. The bread is crisped nicely, enveloping ooey gooey melted cheese. It's a little messy to eat with your hands solely, but it's fantastic. The cheese is clearly of high quality, and the combination is excellent. The truffle oil (an ingredient with which I am not in love) added a nice earthy flavor. Absolute re-order. The entire menu looked great, but I had my eye on only one thing: the American kobe beef ribeye, served with garlic mashed potatoes and broccolini. This is the best steak I've had outside of the big boys in Las Vegas in some time, and it is probably the best steak I've had outside of Las Vegas ever. It was enormous, served bone-in. The sear was textbook, as was the temperature (medium rare). It is just fatty enough, the little flecks running through the entirety of the steak. It shows what you can do when a steak is of the utmost quality and is prepared expertly. The price wasn't cheap, but when you consider what you are getting, it was a bargain. If you are a steak person, this is a must order. I know that Benvenuti's is my new go to in Norman for dinner. I can't wait to make my way through the pastas and pizzas on the menu. But, I know I'll be back for that steak very soon.....

Set up a Yelp account just so I could rate. I had my order delivered and got the Chicken Marsala. OUTSTANDING!! Everything was cooked perfectly. Will definitely recommend this restaurant and am already looking forward to my next order.

The regular menu is pricey so if you want a classy night for less money, I highly recommend the pizza selection ($12-15). The prosciutto and arugula pizza is incredible!

Benvenuti's is the kind of restaurant that has top food and top service for, yes, top price. But it's worth it!! There are too many restaurants that want to be fancy and charge hefty prices, but you almost feel cheated paying it when you know your experience wasn't what it should have been. Benvenuti's is worth every penny. It's a beautiful restaurant, with very professional service and amazing food. I had the mushroom rigatoni, and it's crazy amazing! Also, my waiter recommended the sgroppino when I told him I liked champagne, and it was a great recommendation. It's champagne and vodka with a scoop of lemon sorbet floating in it. Killer. I'll be bringing my parents here next time I'm in Norman.

I would vote this as the best food, atmosphere and service in Norman. Something for nearly any taste. Every time we go I try something different and I have never been disappointed. Good wine and beer selection rounds it out. The special is always a treat. Even the salads are exceptional. Prices are acceptable. Don't forget to save room for dessert. Recently they did a great job taking care of our 10 person table although most times we only have 4 seated.
Best Italian food in the OKC/Norman Metro I've found so far. My first visit I brought a date. I had the lobster ravioli and my date had the pasta from hell. Everything was excellent, the food, drinks, wait staff, atmosphere, etc. I have been back 3 times in the last 6 months. Definitely try Benvenuti's if you haven't been there. It's a little expensive, but worth every penny in my opinion.

The Pasta from Hell was absolutely de-lish and large enough for 2 people to share. They have a nice wine list at reasonable prices. The Conundrum red blend we had was awesome!

Absolute favorite dinner in Norman! Celebratory, feel good, fine dining. The bread: fresh, piping hot, crispy, & fluffy center! Great with EVOO, cracked pepper, and balsamic vin! Wine: I like Cult or a flight App: the Benvenuti salad or fried risotto Entree: Filet (cuts like butter and bursting with complex flavors! Amazing lightly seasoned rub sears to a perfectly crispy outer layer) or the Chilean sea bass (flakey texture - rich flavor! Covered in a delicious cream sauce on creamed spinach and mashed potatoes! Delicious!) Many folks rave about the lobster ravioli -- I wasn't too impressed. The sauce was slightly to heavy on the cream and diminished some of the delicate flavor of the lobster. Dessert: I am indifferent to their deserts.

In our college dating days at OU my (now) husband used to take me here for fancy dates like Valentine's Day, birthdays or anniversaries or just for a nice dinner out. You can dress up or casual and there are TVs near the bar. Great place for college kids to take the parents (make sure the rents are footing the bill!). It's pricey but worth it. Great wine selection. It is definitely a fond memory for my husband and I. Great food and service.
Celebrated our 26th wedding Anniversary this past weekend. Could not have been more perfect. The food was spot on as was the service. I plan on making a return visit soon.

Took my girlfriend here for a dinner date. We both thought the food tasted very good albeit very rich but that is classic italian so it's not something I count against them. Counteract the richness with a nice glass of wine (or 3). To start off, we shared the calamari appetizer which was cooked very well. For our main course, we shared a spinach, artichoke, mushroom, alfredo based pizza. It tasted delicious but I could not eat more than two slices because it was too overwhelming. It was a good thing we could only eat a third of the pizza because we also shared the chilean sea bass dish. Yummmm tasty.... The dish was a 4.5 out of 5. The only thing that prevented it from getting to 5 was its lack of contrasting textures. The atmosphere is darker romantic date night style. Perfect for our occasion but I can also see it suiting an after work get together. Good Job Benvenuti's!!

Definitely one of the better restaurants that Norman has to offer, which isn't necessarily saying much, but I figured I'd mention it anyway (you're welcome). This is a great little date spot - quiet, intimate atmosphere and I can honestly say that I haven't had a bad experience there. They also have a great little patio out front, weather permitting. We've tried a little of everything - wine, salads, pizza, pasta, lamb... and the verdict: they can do no wrong. I highly recommend the caprese salad; the ingredients are extremely fresh and they make their own burrata cheese (which is like a creamier version of mozzarella) that is absolutely to-die for. Another must-try are the lamb chops, they will melt in your mouth (similar to the homemade burrata cheese). This is not the Olive Garden, so please... don't expect to pay Olive Garden-like prices. But, if you are looking for a great up-scale dining experience in the Norman area, you really can't do better than Benvenuti's. Overall Grade: A

I've never had a bad experience at Benvenuti's. I don't know of anyone that has. The atmosphere is lovely, great for a date, or anyone you'd want to impress in Norman. I've had pasta, lasagna, pizza, and their cheese bread (can't think of the name but it's heavenly). The menu seems to change a bit, but since everything's good, you just have to keep going. Yummy Italian food, great atmosphere, great service, what's not to like?

This is one of my Husband's and my favorite restaurants. The wine list is very good and they offer flights as well, which we enjoy because you get to try a variety. I absolutely love their Rocket Salad. It has a tomato pesto style dressing over arugula. It is amazing! My two favorite dishes are the Granchiolino and the Mushroom Rigatoni. The Granshiolino is a seafood pasta dish. It fulfills my carb cravings but doesn't completely weigh me down with a heavy cream sauce. The Mushroom Rigatoni, however, does, which is great when you're after a heavier heartier meal. It is rich and flavorful. They also have a seasonal menu with wine recommendations that always look fantastic. The service is generally good. I say generally because last time the service was absolutely awful. It took us over 40 minutes after ordering just to get our salad. The restaurant was not that busy, so I really don't know what the hold up was. I would have taken to the delay more kindly if the waiter had acknowledged it and informed us he was trying to remedy it. Actually, he just avoided us - which then left us without water and wine as well as hungry. Despite the awful service experience, I'm not ready to write them off yet. We go here often and every other time have had an outstanding experience, so I'll allow them a bad night, or poor hiring decision. I'll also be back to try it again because their food is too delicious to write off that easily.
Kind, attentive staff is the best aspect of Benvenuti's aside from ambience and wine selection rarely seen in Oklahoma. The fried risotto dish was charming but my arugula salad had sat too long in damp conditions. The antipasto plate did not layer very well and the calamari was not beyond Red Lobster standards. Creme Brulle was good but not memorable. Go for a nice date when your mate should be more enticing than the food.

Benvenuti's is one of the best Italian places in Norman for so many reasons. First and foremost their food is super tasty. Their Risotto Arancini and Ravioli de Fori are wonderful. Another reason to love Benvenuti's is their commitment to their community. Each month Benvenuti's works with the Terra Verde Discovery School's elementary students to produce a lunch fundraiser to benefit local charities. The students host the event serving as cashiers, busers, waiters, greeters, hosts, etc all the while learning about the business of running a restaurant. I love this hands on learning experience Benvenuti's is providing these students. Also what could be better than learning and helping your community. So far Benvenuti's has partnered with the Food for Kids Programs in Norman through this event. After only two events they have raised enough money to make sure 14 chronically hungry students in the Norman Public Schools receive food each weekend to take home with them the entire school year. Everyone should check this spot out at least once.

Overpriced for what seems to be the same quality of food as Olive Garden. Service always seems slow. All in all nothing special.
Excellent food and service! Rigatoni with mushroom was so delicious and pizza is always great too! The shrimp with angel hair pasta is another favorite! Caesar salad lack dressing so just ask for extra dressing. Shrimp with sriracha appetizer is a must try too!

First, service was outstanding. Very attentive and caring. Order was confusing but quickly corrected the issue. Now, the food...Benvenuti salad is one if the best I've ever had. The marinated pear was fantastic. The other salad had beets can't remember name, but equally good. Main course we chose the Bucatini with a twist. Olive oil with chopped basil and Cavatelli, instead of the basil cream with Bucatini pasta. Much healthier. The cheese pizza for the kids was delicious. Definitely a must when visiting your child at OU.

The atmosphere was warm and romantic and the service was impeccable! We started with the Risotto Arancini-fried risotto balls with delicious sauce. I ordered the Lobster Fazzoletti which was delicious, creamy and filled with a lot of lobster- cooked to perfection! My husband ordered the chef's special of the night- Wild Boar Pasta. It was spicy and robust- very good! We ended the dinner with carrot cake and lattes. Excellent food and price. We will definitely return.

Still the best option for a nice dinner in Norman! It's perfect for a romantic evening or small get together with friends or family. I'm still in love with the Mussels in Sambuca sauce - use the excellent bread to soak up every drop! Just about everything on the menu is good to excellent. Always great service and atmosphere!

Living in Norman for the past four years and just now reviewing Benvenuti's is shameful on my part. Only eating at Benvenuti's once in college is equally shameful. I came twice in high school, one being for my junior prom dinner, but we don't need to think back that far. Dined here with family on a Sunday evening. There was a good crowd for a Sunday and service didn't slip because of the time. Everything on the menu is perfection, but I'm big on ordering from the specials at any restaurant so I can try something before it's gone. Well my dish of a crusted white fish with shrimp and mushrooms and tomatoes in a light cream sauce should be reconsidered as a maninstay dish. It was light but filling, perfect to pair aside all the heavy pasta dishes. I wasn't super hungry when we got there so I went for the lighter dish, but I obviously snuck bites of my sister's risotto and drooled over my parents spaghetti and lasagna. Benvenuti's is fancy enough for a celebration dinner, (prom dinner) but also casual enough for a relaxing Sunday night family dinner. Glad to see Benvenuti's is still going strong since my last visit near 6 years ago!

The food was excellent!!! I strongly recommend the Mussels Appetizer, and the Divers Scallops. We were in the back room with wood floors, sitting next to a large group, who all 15 were talking LOUDLY!! We could barely hear each other while sitting next to each other. The food alone would give it a 5 star, but the noise dropped it to 4 star.

This is undoubtedly one of, if not the best restaurant in Norman. Legend's is great too but Benven is a new Norman classic. Eat the filet the first time you come, as it is the best you will eat in a land of beef. (Oklahoma) Next time back, please eat the pig and scallops. The pork belly is nearly the greatest texture I have had in comparison to the smoothness of the belly. There is nothing bad that can be said about this place! Cheers.

Benvenuti's is the finest restaurant in Norman. The service and food are always great. For a romantic evening or a long dinner with friends, this is my first choice in Norman. They have a wide selection of wines, and the deserts are delicious. What caught me by surprise is how terrific the Sunday brunch is, easily besting any other brunch I've had in Norman (Cafe Plaid, La Baguette).

The atmosphere in this place is great, but the food is only ok. It is frequently way too salty (keep that glass of water handy) and uneven. I have had the best luck with the pastas, which are often very good. I had a stuffed chicken breast that was almost too salty to eat. The best part of this restaurant is their on-staff pastry chef. She is an artist. I prefer to go for tea and cake rather than dinner. Her cakes are beautiful, and if you are trying to cut back on sweets, her cupcakes are wonderful and a more reasonable size.

I should have written a review a long time ago but I just kept forgetting. A coworker, and fellow foodie, told me I had to try this place. My wife and I were down in Norman and decided to stop. So with our two kids, newborn and 3, and in shorts and tee shirts we walked in. We were treated wonderfully from the mi ute we walked in. Being Italian and growing up on the east coast with all of my families food I tend to be a harsh critic in regards to Italian food. There were staples I saw that I needed to try, in addition to other food. We ordered the arancini to start and couldn't believe how great it was. We have been looking for a place to have our son's baptism reception and after that first bite of arancini we knew this was the place. We asked to see the chef and told him we wanted to book it. He was gracious enough to sit down with us and discuss the entire event. He worked with us and our budget and we set up an outstanding menu. That night we also ordered the truffle fries, I couldn't stop eating them, the mushroom rigatoni and I figured I go off the traditional path and get the pasta from hell. All were terrific, I really can't say anything was bad. In addition to that we have had the bistecca, chicken marsala, lamb chops, Elk Bolognese, benvenuti salad, caprese and various pizza. The lamb is the best I have ever had, all local by the way. The bistecca was one of the best steaks I have had in OKC. That includes steaks from cattleman's, red prime and deep fork...all of which I love but this was better. The benvenuti salad is a must! I just can't say enough about how great the food is. Chef Anthony is amazing. Not to be outdone his wife, Chef Celisse, creates deserts which are also at the top of the list in OKC. These two have created a place that will make you want to come back again and again. This is a place I crave!

Cheese and wine flights...and pretty amazing entrees, too. I love Italian food, but it seems like most Italian restaurants are so boring. And every time I'm with a group of people who decide on Italian, they decide on Macaroni Grill or Olive Garden. Really? For all you fellow food snobs, Benvenuti's is just what you need. Really good wine list--I recommend Jekel Chardonnay if you like white, or Amethyst Sauvignon if you like red. The Amethyst is a little pricey ($10/glass), but well worth it. Jekel is a bit cheaper (we split the bottle for $22). If you go, you really need to order a flight of cheese and a flight of wine. The Italian flight was so good, and all of the flights come with good crackers and bread and fruit. I would also recommend the flight of wine that comes with the Amethyst. You get 3 small glasses of different wines for a great price, and it is fun pairing different cheeses with different wines. If you aren't a wine drinker, I strongly suggest their Appletinis. Their other appetizers are amazing, too, and they serve fresh Focaccia with every meal. The scallop appetizer was amazing--one huge, juicy, perfectly-cooked scallop with really fresh, perfectly-cooked asparagus. As far as food, the Rigatoni with Mushrooms is by far my favorite, but I've also ordered the Seafood Linguine, which was good, too. They have a wide-variety of pizzas--definitely more Italian than American--they use real Mozzarella, slices of tomato, Prosciutto, really good olives, etc. I don't recommend the Lobster Ravioli--good but not worth $18. On a funny note, I found the place by smell...I was headed to Bison Witches (a sandwhich shop) and had my windows down. Smelled the Italian, turned around, took a chance, and have been going back ever since.

I just had to comment on how wonderful my dining experience at Benvenuti's was last evening. I took my granddaughters out to dinner before seeing Peter Pan at Sooner Theater and was totally wowed by the service and the food. My girls love Mussels and Calamari and we weren't disapointed by either. The Calzones were soft, and stuffed to the gills. My youngest one not only shared the Mussels that we ordered for the appetizer, but wanted her own for dinner and ate every last one. The waiter was patience and took very good care of us. I highly reccommend going there for dinner whether its before the theater of just to treat yourself to a wonderful and relaxed time.

My husband and I went on a date here a couple weeks ago. The atmosphere was very nice (dimly lit, fancy, ect). However, I found the food to be of average quality. I was expecting it to be much better, especially after seeing the prices on things, but I was fairly disappointed. Not to mention the service really wasn't that great either. I probably will not be returning. There are so many other places with better food for a better price.

I have no problem giving Benvenuti's five stars. I think it is well deserved. We have never had a bad experience and, on several occasions, the chef has come to our table to see if everything is up to our expectations. It is a bit pricier than most other restaurants in the region. It seems to be a regular hangout for well known people from the OU sports programs. I do wish they would have a better sign on the front of the building. It is hard to find in the dark.

This is my favorite "nicer" restaurant in Norman. They are well above average for Italian food in Norman with the exception of Victoria's on Campus Corner. Every person I've recommended to eat there has loved it. It's a perfect place to take someone on a date. Nice setting, dim, great wine selection. This is where I tried Nivole for the first time, and I've been hooked ever since. ( A delicious sparkling white white with a peach flavor. ) Call ahead for reservations so you don't have to wait long. The bruschetta is the best appetizer I've had on the menu. You can't go wrong with any of the pastas, especially the spicy ones. I've been told the fish is amazing, but I don't care for fish, so I couldn't say. The most important thing, save room for dessert!! They have some AMAZING cakes that I crave, but cannot have due to living in Las Vegas now. They are a little on the rich side, but I love rich desserts. The dress is from upper casual to people walking in with formal dresses. I'm sure for a special occasion. I've never had bad service when I've been. This place is worth trying out once just so you don't regret missing out on it, whether you liked it or not.
If you are looking to impress someone, this is the place to go. The wine selection was impeccable, the menu includes pizzas for about $10, but the specials are the way to go if you can afford it. The chef here does a great job creating dishes with what is available in the seasonal markets.

I love the food and atmosphere at Benvenuti's! The chef Anthony is a genius. Everything on the menu is wonderful, and I have had everything. Celisse's pastries are amazing too. If you are looking for a nice place to eat dinner this is your place. Best food in Norman!

Italian food around here kind of bums me out. We have a bunch of chain restaurants and a handful of locally-owned places I find utterly underwhelming. The thing is, it isn't that difficult to make okay Italian food, and that bar is low enough that a lot of places stop there, because there aren't many more options. I've only been to Benvenuti's once, though I've lived a couple of blocks away for years now. It's expensive, especially compared to every other restaurant in the area, and it seemed like a date place for old people (sorry, old people). Now that I've finally visited, I can confidently say I'll be back. I had a rosemary "Italian mojito" while I waited for my table to clear, and while I was seated in a room that with odd lighting and televisions--really?--as opposed to the main, more romantic dining room, the food was enough to redeem the environment. The Mushroom Rigatoni is delicious, simultaneously delicate and heavy, and the starter Calamari and Rocket salad were well-prepared with obviously high-quality ingredients. Bottom line: This is the ONLY local Italian meal I've had where I felt it couldn't be replicated fairly simply at home. Yum.

Thrilled to find this little taste of Italy in, of all places, Norman! We had a great meal here a week ago. One white wine flight, one red. One carpaccio appetizer, one scallop. One lobster ravioli, one butternut squash gnudi. One shared melting chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream! One fantastic meal!! Really nice atmosphere. Great friendly service. I live 2 hours away and I will drive back for this restaurant alone. Seriously. Get yourself to this place. You will not regret it.

All I have heard about for years from my Norman friends is how wonderful this place is. I finally tried it out a couple of weeks ago and it didn't disappoint. Though I found the calamari to be a bit tough, the rib eye was cooked to our liking and the pasta dishes were quite pleasing, especially the pesto. But what makes this place stand out is the friendly service and the hands on treatment of customers by the management. Hoss will come by and introduce himself and make himself a part of your experience without being intrusive or presumptuous. Go for the food and stay for the company. And the lemoncello!

We went here for a special brunch/ baby shower. We loved everything we ordered and were able to sit in a room that was more quiet since we had a larger group. Their brunch cocktails are great and inexpensive at $3.50. Try the Peach Bellini cocktail. The waffle with mascarpone (Italian cream cheese) and berries was rich but delicious. Come hungry because the portions are big and filling. This is a great place for brunch in Norman!

Very romantic spot. Quite a surprise in this football town brimming with IHOPs etc. The staff was so very nice. A diamond in the rough. We didn't have time for much ... just a quick margarita pizza and some wine. Very relaxing.

Great atmosphere and decor, but food that's hit or miss. My main complaint is that too many dishes feel oily or unnecessarily rich. Wine selection is good and not too overpriced. The option of several wine flights is nice when you can't make up your mind. Deserts, as others have attested, are quite good.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

(5)Donald A.
Great dining experience. The serve was nothing short of outstanding. The food was delicious although my pasta was a little spicy it was good. We had the crab cakes for an appetizer and they were delicious although the crawfish in the garnish had a slight fishy flavor. My girlfriend had the walnut pear salad which was hands down one of the best salads I have ever tasted. For desert we had creme brûlée and it was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Every Star deserved. Our Server Shawn was fantastic. His recommendations were perfect. My Husband and I picked Benvenutis to celebrate our 28th Wedding Anniversary. I wished we would have tried it sooner. Lobster Frazzettio and some of the best Creme Brûlée ever.

(3)Teddy Jack E.

(5)Kimberly M.
The regular menu is pricey so if you want a classy night for less money, I highly recommend the pizza selection ($12-15). The prosciutto and arugula pizza is incredible!
(5)Alison P.
(5)Shawn H.

Michigan may not come to mind when you think of great Italian food, but it is as prevalent and varied as Tex-Mex in Oklahoma. You can imagine my dismay as a Michigan transplant when Zio's was voted best Italian in the metro. Don't get me wrong, I'll get Zio's now and again, but to overlook local places like Benvenuti's with a more authentic take on Italian food is a crime. I know, Benvenuti's is not the cheapest place, but it's also worth every dime to treat yourself to an intimate evening out with classic dishes and desserts and a bevy of drink options. At least every once and awhile, right? I have seen some complaints about service, but I have been several times over the years and had great service every time. In fact, I have even had excellent service on the nights I am there with a Groupon and we all know that can be a kiss of death with some servers. Why give full service if someone might tip you based on their discounted amount? (Never fear, I always tip based on the actual amount.) But let's focus on the best part about Benvenuti's: the food. They have their standard dishes, but for the most part you will see a new, seasonal menu each month. My favorite and most cost-effective way to go to Benvenuti's is to order an appetizer, a salad, and split an entrée and dessert. That way you'll get a variety of dishes without overstuffing yourself (or breaking the bank). I recently had the fried calamari for the first time and was impressed. The calamari wasn't chewy or drowned out by breading and grease, while the marinara only complimented its flavor. I am a big fan of their Benvenuti salad with its delicious candied nuts and pear. The most recent entrees I had were their lobster ravioli and another ravioli that I cannot remember the official name of. It had goat cheese inside and brown butter on top while floating on a tomato sauce that brings all these savory flavors together. Better yet, it's obvious they make their own pasta, which is always legit al dente. I have yet to be disappointed by their desserts, having tried the tiramisu (excellent), sorbet (fruity and refreshing), and a fun take on s'mores (a homemade graham cracker standing tall in a pot of creamy chocolate with a marshmallow topping - I know, right?). Their drink list includes signature cocktails, beers like Peroni, and flights of wine, all at a pretty reasonable price. What sweetens the deal even more? I have it on good authority from former employees that every part of the experience - the rustic atmosphere, the carefully planned and prepared meals, the service - are all part of the passion running Benvenuti. Quality AND integrity? I'd say you're getting the bang for your buck.

(5)Deb B.
The Pasta from Hell was absolutely de-lish and large enough for 2 people to share. They have a nice wine list at reasonable prices. The Conundrum red blend we had was awesome!
(5)Autumn W.

Amazing food!
(5)Steven N.
They have the best scallops and shrimp appetizer! My girlfriend and I enjoy this place so much and will be returning very soon.
(5)Lacey P.
(5)Kate F.
One of our favorite place to go! The fillet is great, the pig and scallops are awesome, and the pasta from hell rocks! They also have great creme brûlée and espresso :-)
(5)Ralph F.
Celebrated our 26th wedding Anniversary this past weekend. Could not have been more perfect. The food was spot on as was the service. I plan on making a return visit soon.
(5)Chris B.

Overall Grade: A
(4)Nina B.
(5)Sara J.
(4)Shawn G.
This is one of the best places for a quiet, upscale meal in Norman. The servers are good at what they do and the food is excellent. Personal favorites at the moment are their Chilean sea bass and the creme brûlée. It's a great place to get dressed up for and go have a romantic evening, but it's also a fine place to "go as you are" with a group of friends and just enjoy the evening.
(5)Erin T.
(3)Lisa P.
(5)Dustin S.
Overpriced for what seems to be the same quality of food as Olive Garden. Service always seems slow. All in all nothing special.
(2)Ashleigh B.
This is one of my favorite places to eat in Oklahoma. My favorite items are the bread, mussels, calamari, caprese salad, Caesar salad, and pasta from hell. The burrata that is served with the caprese salad is one of my favorite foods ever. They also have fantastic monthly specials on the menu. This is my favorite place to go for a special dinner and the service is always great. When I go with friends that are vegan, the chef always prepares something delicious for them. I am very picky about restaurant desserts (I own a bakery), and Benvenuti's has excellent desserts (creme brûlée!). I wish they had brunch!
(5)Evelyn P.
Excellent food and service! Rigatoni with mushroom was so delicious and pizza is always great too! The shrimp with angel hair pasta is another favorite! Caesar salad lack dressing so just ask for extra dressing. Shrimp with sriracha appetizer is a must try too!
(4)Steven R.
(4)Dominic H.
Didnt know exactly what to expect as I bought a groupon to use here with my girlfriend... we arrived and notice the nice atmosphere and simplistic setup. The food was very good and definitely top notch! Flavorful and seemed very fresh!
(5)Nissa F.
(5)Patrick M.
(5)Annie T.
(5)Jay T.
(4)Adam B.
Cheers.
(5)Jake S.
(5)Jennifer S.

(5)Sarah S.
(3)Grandpa F.
(5)Ashley P.

The best restaurant in Norman in my opinion. I have eaten at Benvenuti's dozens of time, and I have yet to have a bad meal. They have a chef's menu which changes about every three months, allowing you to try foods you haven't had before. If you are in the mood for an appetizer, I suggest the white truffle fries. They are amazing. Benvenuti's also has the best Crème brûlée I have ever eaten. The bakery is awesome. If you want to have a great meal in Norman, go to Benvenuti's. It is that simple.
