I'm just not a fan of Swadleys. It's not that their food is bad, there just isn't anything special about it. Their brisket can be pretty fatty everytime I've had it. And their sausage a little tough. Their sauces are pretty good, as well as their smoked turkey, but overall I'd just call it an average barbecue spot, with the bonus of a drive through window.

Nothing is better than some good ole' BBQ. This place was great the first time we ate here. It was ok the second time. Maybe the excitement wore off, but the second time the food wasn't as great as the first. So far me and my friends have ordered everything on the menu. The brisket is great, it tasted a bit more dry on the second visit, but good on the first. The catfish leaves something to be desired for. The arrangement of pickles is very cool. Just a nice array of things to nibble on. Waitresses here are very friendly. I like them a lot.

How have I never eaten at a Swadley's?! My husband, son and I had less than an hour to grab lunch and decided BBQ was the way to go. My main issue with the whole experience was that no one helps you figure out what to do-- where do I order? Do I get my drink? What is happening? Since it was our first time I was a little awkward and got in trouble for trying to fix our drinks--lesson learned, I will do nothing but order and sit down at a table! Once that stressful experience was over it was smooth sailing. Our server, Macie did in fact take care of us. Food was solid: we both had sandwiches (pulled pork and brisket) and each tried a different sauce and we both annihilated our sandwiches. My husband had the okra and fries and both were a hit for him and our son, I had Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes, which I chose for sharing with our little guy but they were so good I didn't want to share! The ice cream at the end is a nice touch, but with the buttery sandwich buns and heavy sides, it makes the meal a calorie bomb that we may do sparingly, but I'm glad we've been and will happily return now that we know what to do!

A decent BBQ place. Not the best, but I have had much worse. Prices are fair for the amount of food you get. Meat is good, but there just isnt much of a wow factor. Customer service is very good.

Previous reviews who gave this place one or two stars are nuts. I have enjoyed BBQ from Texas/Memphis/KC. While Swadleys is not in the top 10, it ranks pretty high. Certainly one of the better joints in OKC metro. I don't do pulled pork...so it is not factored into my rating. The brisket is tender, turkey is the best I have ever had. Sides are small but good. Service is fantastic. They smoke on site....unlike billy sims.

Quality and speed of service were both great. Burger was great. Nothing too out of the ordinary, but nothing to complain about. I had their double burger which really could have worked as a single (did not appear to be that option). The meat was juicy and tender, cheese was gooing out the sides, and veggies seemed fresh. I had a side of fries which looked sad (and overcooked) compared to the beastburger. They did not taste overcooked though, and were quite pleasant as far as fries go. Nothing amazing, but pretty decent. Sweet tea was refreshing and not overly sweet. Service was friendly, refills were pretty prompt considering there were a good 15 of us. Everyone seemed happy with their food/service.

Good bbq for the okc area. Would get a higher rating of they had smoke bologna. Excellent customer service.

The parking lot is ALWAYS full, the drive through is always busy and the food is wonderful. Family atmosphere, our whole family LOVE Swadley's regardless of the location. My husband loves to get the True Sampler and take half of it home for lunch the next day. My sons get the City Boy or the Country Boy sandwich and NEVER complain. I personally get the smoked chicken dinner EVERYTIME with "grumpy" bbq sauce (they all have names and are super tasty). They have a really good salad bar and I do not say that very often. Free ice cream for everyone who wants it after dinner, too. The prices are a little high, but we usually get a take home box or two.

If you want delicious pork spare ribs this is the place to go! Best ribs I've ever had at a restaurant! Campfire taters and brisket beans are great sides. Friendly staff and a nice and clean place.

This place is sooooo good! Great portion sizes. 4 flavors of BBQ sauce. Friendly service. And they have a drive through!!! Definitely my new favorite place for BBQ

This place had some pretty good BBQ. A friend brought me here and suggested the Ultimate, aka the Involuntary-Manslaughter-by-Coronary sandwich. Roast beef, roast pork, chicken, bacon, and cheddar cheese piled high with no vegetables in sight is sure to put you in the ICU, but it was pretty darn good. They gave us some BBQ sauces to try at the table, but I didn't care for any of them so I ate the sandwich dry, which was fine. No complaints with the fries, overall the meal was pretty good. The interior is kind of cheesy, like someone turned a barn inside out, but the waitstaff was very friendly and fast and the experience was good.

I've used the drive through several times, and have never had a bad experience. The food is delicious, not life-changing, but quality Q. Sliced brisket and sausage are my standbys if I want a quick plate because they have yet to let me down on those. Sides are always done well also. Staff that I encounter at the window are pretty cool and get my food out in a timely manner, so I really have no gripes with service at all. May have to dine in at some point just to see how that goes. If you're in a rush and on this side of OKC, give it a shot.

This is mustang ok, what would you expect! The food in this joint was not that good. The 1 star is for the speed in which our pre cooked nuked food came out. If only the people in this area knew what was out there just over the 6.8 mile radius of this place they would drive the distance no matter what the price of gas to get a decent meal.

Don't get me wrong, the food is good. As a drive through only customer I often experience rude staff and varying fullness of side orders half full at times full at others. My most memorable experience was the window staff telling me thats not what I ordered as she does not get orders wrong. I swore never to go back after that but have returned a couple of times. It seems like the owners care too bad they can't instill that in their staff.

Swadleys was awesome when they first came to mustang. The food quality and cleanliness of this location has dropped significantly. I used to eat here at least once a week, but now I just avoid it.

This is our favorite restaurant in Mustang. No matter what location we go to, the customer service is exceptional and the food is fantastic. Every time my family comes into town from Tulsa they want to eat here! Thanks
(5)Tiffany G.
LOVE THEIR BAR-B-Q!!!!! Great price and large portions..... You will leave there Stuffed!!!!!! Will always be a repeat customer!!!!
(5)ROBERT H.
The food here is over very good. I had to leave it at 4 start just because there isn't enough of that smoked flavor in the brisket.
(4)Chris C.
I've never had a consistently good meal here. It's been hit and miss just like most of the restaurants in Mustang. One time the brisket will be the best in the world and next time, greasy, fatty and no flavor. I've never had so many different swings in BBQ. We keep going here though as it's the only BBQ joint in town
(3)Greg S.
If you're in Mustang, there aren't a lot of choices for BBQ which is unfortunate because Swadley's is about as average as average can be. I'm a drive thru only customer who's eaten there 25+ times due to lack of choices, and it's always ok. It's too expensive, the staff is rude (specifically in the drive thru), the size of the sides is embarrassing, and the food is very inconsistent. You're definitely better served looking elsewhere while hoping Mustang gets a decent BBQ place.

the people are always friendly. the food is excellent. they have 4 or 5 different sauces that my family and I get. A good selection of sides with free ice cream before you leave.

Pure yummyness! GREAT BBQ! Great service, fast drive through if picking up. This Swadleys puts the one on 89th in okc to shame. Definitely recommended.

First time in here. I stopped because their parking lot was still half full at 1:30. This place is very nice. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The lady at the front, Natalie, was helpful with selections, friendly and professional. Her suggestions were excellent. Ribs. Yum. After ordering I found a seat and was waited on very attentively by Dillon. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. I will absolutely come again.

Love Swadleys, our go to place when leaving the ballpark! Sliced brisket and smoked sausage is really good. If you like barbecue you will not be disappointed.
(5)Jason B.
This is great BBQ. The service here is always great. They truly care about their customers. The ribs are never dry with just a touch of sweetness. The chopped brisket and sausage combo is a perfect lunch. They had prime rib sandwiches for a limited time. I really wish they would bring it back and leave it as a permanent menu choice. They have a good salad bar. Don't forget to have some ice cream before you leave!
