People who live in Oklahoma already know how they feel about this place. This review isn't for them. It's for the road-weary travelers who are getting into town late, and can't believe how few restaurants are properly listed on yelp. This is the perfect spot for those people. Mama Lou's is a 24-hour diner, with a diverse and inexpensive menu. If you're doing a coast to coast drive and you're already sick of greasy road-food, there are plenty of healthy options like salads and chicken breasts. You can also go all-out and gorge yourself on chicken-fried steak and greasy-spoon diner burgers. There is plenty to choose from, and it's all cheap. I ordered the Cajun chicken breast when I got in at night, and the "mama's special" for breakfast when I left town in the morning. Both were well prepared, and tasted great. The Cajun chicken plate came with a salad, bread and my choice of potatoe or rice. It was exactly what I needed after twelve hours of jerky and potato chips on the road. Service was perfectly friendly both times, and the dining area is clean and comfortable. The smoking section is limited to a closed off section of the restaurant, and there was never a point where the secondhand smoke made its way into the nonsmoking area. This isn't a particularly memorable spot that will inspire trips to Oklahoma, but it was perfect for what it needed to be. Mama Lou's is exactly where you need to bring your road trip caravan as you blaze a trail through the fly-over states.

This was a fine experience. The staff was very nice, the food was good, and the prices were so low I felt like I ate for free. That's it. It wasn't amazing, but there was nothing to complain about. It's a decent roadside cafe. I'll come back. Maybe there's an amazing house plate I haven't tried yet that will blow me away. I had the veggie omelette. It was good. Also, they had a separate, sealed, smoking section. That was nice to see again.

Great home cooking. I had the western omelette. It came with potatoes and toast our biscuit and gravy. Warning to all you CCW folks, no firearms allowed.

The service was horrible. I will probably never be going back. However if you are a preson who does not care about poor service and loves good food this woule be a place to go. I ordered the French toast style breakfast combo. It was excellent and their bacon was amazing.

My neighbor and I used to eat here a lot when I was going to medical school in OKC. The food was good, but perhaps I more enjoyed the fellowship of my friend. It has been around a long time and has survived the chain restaurants. Give it a try.
