Hummus oooohhhhh!!! This spot was very good. Service was good as well. Nice young lady. Began with Garlic hummus and pita bread. Ended with shish tawook (chicken) Ammmmazazing!! Drank grenadine, one of their specialty drinks. It's all good if you're searching for Mediterranean.

I love grilled veggies and especially Greek-style grilled veggies that I usually get with a kabob plate - onions, bell peppers, tomatoes etc. So it was very disappointing when I ordered the chicken kabob plate at Hummus Mediterranean Grill and it only had one tiny sliver of grilled onion and one slice of grilled tomato. That was all. The plate came with a generous portion of chicken and Vermicelli rice, but way too stingy on the veggies. I would have been happy with a third of the chicken and a significantly larger amount of veggies. They even skimped on the Pita bread, offering only a few small triangles. I'm sorry, but this restaurant just absolutely did not satisfy this customer. We won't be returning.

Yesterday was my first time coming here, I really liked the food but the service was not impressive at all. We went right at 11 when they opened and there were two other tables and then us. From what I could see there was just one server and she was not very friendly or happy to be there. She never smiled one time, served our food very forceful and slammed our checks down on the table! No utensils were given..no extra plates so I could share my hummus..and no napkins unless we nagged her. On to the food..I ordered Gyro hummus (they were generous with the meat and pita bread..very tasty! ) I also ordered the stuffed olives (these too were yummy!). For my drink I got the Shirley Temple and it was very refreshing. I might be back..maybe not.

The wait time was short and the service was alright, a little lagging for as slow as they were. I ordered garlic hummus for an appetizer and the chicken kabob platter. This place gives you a huge portion on food, you definitely get your bang for a buck here. The prices are fairly reasonable and cheap. If you get hummus they will give you more pita bread free of charge which is always nice!

Had a late lunch at Hummus Café after seeing a movie at the Warren. I arrived about 2:30 on a Wednesday and there were 3 tables seated. I was immediately approached by a server to take my drink order. The menu is large and has the favorites you'd expect at a Greek/Mediterranean place. I went with the gyro plate with rice instead of French fries and a small side of hummus. It was a good value for $10 for the lunch and only a dollar for the side of hummus. You get a good amount of gyro meat and a huge serving of rice. Since I had the hummus, my pita bread didn't go very far as I was using it both with the meat and the hummus. I should have ordered more. The onions on the side were marinated and had some herbs on them which added some good flavor. The meat is juicy and has the usual seasoning you'd expect from gyro meat. The hummus wasn't the best I'd had, but I'd absolutely get it again. I'd say it's above average. Surprisingly, the rice was seasoned well. It was really good, this is not just white rice on a plate. This is a large and tasty lunch for only $10. I was pleased with the service, but like I said, I went after the lunch rush. By the end of my meal, I was the only one left in the place. I'll absolutely go again, it was a great lunch for a reasonable price.

I was disappointed. The French fries were soggy and the gyro sandwich I ordered had nothing but meat wrapped in pita bread, had no flavor. I also ordered crepe Carmel and it wasn't good either. Will not be returning.
(1)Gladys R.
I ordered the gyro plate and substituted the fries for double salad and had the waitress select the hummus since there were so many varieties. The gyro was deliciously plentiful, tender and flavorful. The hummus is fresh and creative. If you want a great meal for a bargain, go here!

I wasn't overly impressed at Hummus Cafe but it wouldn't prevent me from returning. I am rarely in the area and wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but possibly would return when nearby. I had the tabouli and lentil soup with hummus and pita. The lentil soup was different than I expected as it was creamy without the actual lentils but was surprisingly good. The service was pretty good as well. It wasn't very busy during lunch time which was nice. Overall it was an okay experience, just can't go as far to say I'm a fan.

Love this place for its simplicity, atmosphere and polite staff. The waiters themselves are very attentive and always refill my hot tea when I'm out. By the way, their mint tea is really soothing, especially on these snowy days. If the waiter didn't make you feel enough welcomed, the manager walks around constantly and converses with the customers; he is very nice. The food is great and reasonably priced. I love just getting a soup and a pita for dinner, as it's light and the soup always changes. They have a large variety of hummus to choose from (hence the name). Their sandwiches, wraps and plates are all also really good. I would like to order more from their menu as it has a good variety. I will definitely come back here so that I'll have had tried everything!

I feel kind of bad for making the boyfriend drive 40 mins for dinner but back home (Houston), we make that kind of commute daily. I read the reviews before we got here so we came in expecting service to be terrible. It was not busy at all. We were seated immediately. The young gentleman was very nice and welcoming. Food came out fast and tasted really good. We ordered the Gyro Hummas (lamb tasted so good), Shish Tawook (Chicken Kabob) Sandwich, and Royal Platter. Everything was very flavorful, meat was very juicy and tender, and even the pita bread for the sandwich tasted really good. I wasn't really craving anything specific before we headed out to dinner but this place definitely hit the spot! I am torn in between the 4th and 5th star. They definitely delivered as far as service and food. The only thing missing is the ambiance. I didn't enjoy dining in at this place. It was dark and boring. We were supposed to go out after dinner to check out some bars but the ambiance here made me feel blah so we ended going home and having drinks just the two of us - which turned out perfect anyway. :)

So glad to know that this place exists. Great gyro sandwiches that really hit the spot. I was so full that I couldn't try their desert menu though so I'll be going back haha
(4)Hiba B.
This place has the best rice I ever tasted!!! Try one of their platters it includes the rice with the meat of your choice. My personal favorite is chicken and ask for a garlic sauce on the side. Their fries are very special too, they season them with a mix of herbs and thyme, I never tried it elsewhere - it's delicious. Why 4 stars? There's a bit of a wait... service is not the fastest but the food is 5/5.
(4)Brian P.
We ordered 5 different entrees and two plates and just went to town on it all. Everything was great. Very fresh ingredients traditionally prepared.
(4)Josh D.
This was my first time eating at Hummus Cafe. I had the Beef Kabob with the hummus Muhammara. The beef was cooked perfectly and needless to say, well above my expectations for a quick lunch meal. And I've never been a fan of hummus till today. The muhammara has a great flavor and I will be ordering again for sure.
(4)Deane D.
Very tasty ingredients and prepared well. I found my Greek salad about the size of a side salad. And even with the added grilled chicken (for an up charge of $5) I left feeling half hungry. No pita came with the salad either. Not trying to whine, just pricier than I'm used to for the end result. BUT, no fault at all for the flavor, service, or cleanliness of the place.
(3)April C.
Amazing rotisserie chicken. This is a must try with their special garlic sauce. I prefer to eat this with rice (which has tons of flavor and is delish). Humus is superb and has a great garlic and lemon kick. This is seriously the only place I eat Baba Ghanoush at. It's nice and smokey. I also like their combo plates but my fav is the rotisserie. For the desserts I rank baklava as my favorite. The caramel custard is ok and the Lebanese pudding...is not recommended at all. I think this is an acquired taste thing. Everything else is superb!!
(4)Joshua F.
The food was quite delicious, though our server was not very attentive. We had to ask repeatedly for side items and even utensils. Having said that, I would definitely give the restaurant another try.
(3)Ivy T.
Tried this place out with a group of friends (due to them having a coupon). I was pretty pleased! We ordered the grape leaves and gyro hummus to share. I didn't get a chance to try the grape leaves, but I loved the gyro and hummus combo. The meat wasn't dry, the hummus was the perfect consistency. I usually like hummus not too thin or thick. The flavoring was perfect, with it not being bland or salty. I ended up ordering the gyro sandwich, which had some meat, pickles, tomatoes, and tzaiziki sauce. I wished they put lettuce on it. It might be an americanized thing, but I like lettuce on my gyro. It was served with fries, they were crispy and coated with some herbs. It was very tasty! i had to stop myself from finishing all the fries.
(4)Michael W.
I'm a big fan of their Akawi Pie and their Gyro's. Very good and very fresh.
(5)Fadi A.
Went there yesterday again. As usual everything was amazing. Awesome service and delicious food. Tried the Zatar pie for the first time and I loves it. I recommend it.
(5)Darek M.
Went there last night with my wife and was quickly seated, although the uneven tables needed to be cleaned. The staff is very young and made several mistakes, like billing me twice, but the owner corrected it. We started with the garlic hummus, good but strong enough to kill a vampire. We got the gyro dinner and shish sandwich, which were good, although the gyro meat was a bit bland. The chicken was fantastic, but overall a nice place.

Wonderful food. Best mediterranean food on the southside ... Great hummus and very good gyros. Great date place with wonderful atmosphere. Wait staff has improved dramatically since its opening and reopening after the tornado.
(5)Nicolette C.
Great service. Great food. Everything was delicious. Love the guava juice. Had stuffed grape leaves as my starter. That was delicious.
(5)Justin R.
Excellent. A jewel in south side of OKC. One of the best restaurants in south okc and possibly the top of its kind in Oklahoma.
(5)Kareem A.
The royal plate is amazing!!! The place is nice and simple with many yummy choices! I tried there falafel plate and got the pepper hummus as an app. I wasn't disappointed and will be back when I'm in Okc!
(5)LaChelle S.
Looks like a place in a clean, new Edmond-ite retail center, but inside, it is simple, lovely with a GORGEOUS view of a pond/little lake. There's water in Moore? It is really really beautiful. The menu is filled with all you might want in a mediterranean cafe, and the food is incredibly delicious, unique, and intricate. I can for sure see myself eating here once a week. I sort of hate living on the southside because there aren't many restaurants that I know of that are healthy and of a good quality. But this will be my go-to place when friends want to eat in this region. Good, as you'd expect, for vegetarians.
(5)Scott T.
Great food. Those that have been to the middle east for military duty will taste the authenticity of the food. Best humus and falafel in town. I highly recommend
(5)Nicole B.
This place lives up to their name. The hummus and pita bread are amazing! We come here often and always make sure to get one of the yummy varieties. My favorite is the jalapeño. Also, the gyros are huge, the tabouli is always fresh, and the fries have this amazing seasoning on them. My only complaint is the service. It's always just so-so, as in slow and/or awkward. Case in point- today I asked what exactly the Lebanese coffee was and my server responded with, "Umm....I don't know. It comes in a small cup....I just drink regular coffee." The food makes up for it though. That's what keeps us coming back!
(4)Angie P.
Where to begin: We must begin with the staff, who are ALL a delight. Every person is bright and a real pleasure to come into contact with. They brought my week to a wonderful close. A great way to come down from a hectic week. Ok on to the food. The flavors are so complex in every dish that I have tried. My suggestions are 1. If you've never heard of it, try it. 2. If you've had it somewhere else, try it here, you will be pleasantly surprised. Portion size: If you are one person and you get a meal and an appetizer, you will be taking some home. Desert: Save room for the Lebanese nights pudding. It is a heavenly flavor (may have been made with angel wings and roses)
(5)Jonathan C.
The food is good and I have had many good meals here. But if they forget to put an item in your to go bag just forget it. They forgot our hummus once and we called and they kind of gave us the run around. My wife went to go pick it up and still got the run around about something we ordered and paid for. Finally got the hummus with no apology. The staff needs to go to customer service training. I used to run restaraunts and if we screwed up your order we bent over backwards to make the customer happy. I might go back just for the food.
(2)Jan G.
Thought we'd try this place, glad we did. The wait staff was helpful and courteous. We got the chicken kabobs and a gyro. The meat was tasty and the sandwich was plentiful. The hummus is what we really came for and it was delicious. It was fresh and a lot of it for an appetizer. The pita bread was still warm from the oven. We had the garlic hummus, and our waitress told us to start off easy with the garlic because it was spicy. She was right, but again, oh so good. Prices were reasonable; we will definitely return.
(4)Frank U.
Fabulous food. Salad has flavor! And gyros are so smooth in texture. Skip the fries that come with everything and get something new! Awesome food. Just wow. Last thing, go for the mint lemonade!
(5)Dee K.
So disgusting! We went this afternoon and my daughter has been nauseous ever since and finally threw up. The food was not spoiled just awful. We ordered two appetizers felafel basket and baba ghannouj. We told the waitress that the ghannouj was not to our liking. She said nothing and walked away leaving this disgusting food on out table. We also ordered a Greek salad, which was the smallest I have EVER received anywhere!! Asking the waitresses for a recommendation she suggested The Pita Pies, we ordered the Akawl Pie which we halved with Zatar. This also did not sit well with me, especially as a recommendation! Save your time, money and stomachs for something better. Our food looked nothing like the photos, we were fooled. Basil, we will never cheat on you again!!

Continues to shine! The Shish Tawook was excellent. The gyro sandwich was amazing. And the plain hummus was anything but plain.
(5)Daniel H.
The food is good, albeit a little more pricey than some other places. The service is slow regardless if they are full or have no other customers. Employees don't seem to care about it either. Last time I was there the man who I presumed is the owner or manager was just sitting in the office while the kitchen wasn't getting food out in a timely manner. That goes to show how little they do care. Another review mentioned hummus was missing from the to-go order, and same thing happened to me. I didn't bother trying to get it fixed because they also gave me a run around trying to say I did get it. Their menu might be more diverse than The Greek Taverna's but I'd rather go there just because of the better service.
(3)K C.
Fantastic food! The tobouli is top notch along with the chicken kabobs. The garlic hummus will definitely keep the vampires away it is so garlicy but so good! My absolute favorite though is the mint lemonade. Yummmmm!
(5)Thomas O.
Took my daughter Robin, and Granddaughter Heather to lunch at Hummus Cafe. It was another delightful outing. The service was attentive without being intrusive. Our food orders were varied, Kafta, Pita Pie,Gyro, Hummus, Baba Ghannouj. We absolutely enjoyed each and every plate. They all were well prepared and well presented. Hummus Cafe is on our "come back to" list
(4)Dave L.
Great food, but that doesn't make up for it's short comings The service was slow and left a lot to be desired. Be careful and watch the menu they charge extra for everything. We ordered two hummus and was also charged for pita. Also ordered the Gyro plate and it was good. But on the menu says plates come with two sides except the gyro plate. i selected a salad as my one side, the description of the dish says it comes with fry's. The waitress never said that the salad would be extra. The waitress ask the manager and said that's just the way it is. So bottom line, a lunch that should have been 12 was over 25. Beware and ask questions. If this restaurant would get their stuff together I would consider going back. but, for now they have lost a customer.

Excellent hummus, falafel and baba ganoush. Will definitely return to try other items. Well worth the visit to this excellent restaurant.
(5)Aaron S.
My daughter and I ate here a few weeks ago. I liked the food we had: Rotisserie Chicken and Shish Tawook. Service was good, atmosphere was nice. However, the Baklava was not your traditional Baklava and neither of us liked it. We also tried one of the other deserts Lebanese Night Pudding and we really did not like it. Will eat there again, just skip desert!
(3)Linda H.
Ate here a few months ago when it was fairly. Coming back to read the reviews was on par to my experience. They are going to be a popular spot in Moore. The portions were big and the staff was wonderful. There are difference flavored hummus and all were great.
(5)Butch E.
Love having this as a choice of places to dine in the Moore/Norman area. Omar is a very attentive and conscientious owner and even though I am disappointed that lamb isn't on the menu, Omar explained he doesn't have a purveyor yet with the quality of lamb cuts he would serve. I respect that and will wait. Fifth star when it comes! The rotisserie chicken is one of the specialties, but I recommend the sampler. It comes with hummus or babaganoosh, rice and if you get the olive plate and their hot mint tea, you cannot go wrong. I haven't used the patio, but there is a nice pond in the back and probably lends to a comfortable setting.
(4)The D.
We were excited to try this restaurant. While we loved the food, the service was one of the worst experience in my life. The waiter sat us and took our drink orders. Upon his return, we needed more time on our entree, but ordered some regular hummus. Two other couples were seated, served drinks and appetizers, still no hummus. We had to ask another waitress to take our order and put in another order for our appetizer. The hummus came out and the plates came out fine as well, but no silverware! And we had to ask twice for refills. Maybe it was the guy's first day, but the rest of the wait staff seemed just as lost.
(3)Rania Y.
I have had great experience with this restaurant! Their food is really great and my husband and I are big foodies. They have a great variety of food.
(4)Joe B.
Yum yum! I just ate here for lunch. Nice balance of veggies, meat and rice pilaf on my beef lunch plate (with Greek salad as my side). Choosing hummus as your side doesn't get you enough pita to finish off your hummus, just so you know. Our server was a very sweet young woman who seemed genuinely happy to work there. I will eat here again!
(5)Rob N.
Jalapeño Hummus was delicious, but they don't give you nearly enough pita bread to eat all of it and charge extra to get more. Adult meals were excellent, adequate portion size and excellent taste all around. Kids chicken strip meal is decent, but the Mac & cheese meal is about 1/4 of a box of standard Kraft Mac & cheese with some fries for $4. I recommend this establishment, but pack PB&J for the kids... Poor value for kids.
(4)Karen A.
First time, and so glad it's nearby as we will be regulars. Two of us had dinner, and we ordered a chicken kabob platter, and a filet mignon kabob platter, then mixed the meats. Also ordered a Garlic Hummus appetizer that came with a side of pickles and olives, plus extra pita. They offer several choices of hummus, as well as other appetizers. The kabob meats were very tender with excellent seasoning. The chicken had a taste similar to chicken korma but not saucy. Grilled onion and tomato were on the platters. The rice was a long grain, lightly seasoned and quite good. We opted for the Greek salad side which was a very good choice. These platters were a little pricey compared to other dishes like a Gyro Plate, or sandwiches but we wanted a nice dinner. There was plenty of food, and I had leftovers! I appreciated that nothing was over salted as many restaurants seem to do. The service was very good, casual atmosphere but nice, independently owned using family recipes for the concept. The wait staff enters orders table side via an iPod Touch. I can hardly wait to go back and try a gyros sandwich! My only suggestion would be to wrap the warm pita in a cloth napkin in the basket to keep it warm. And cracked pepper grinders on the tables would be nice.
(5)JerryNshelley R.
Pretty good food. The hummus is quite tasty. Our waitress was a bit green or too busy with the waiter at the front to realize we needed refills. Although another waiter/manager was quick to address the problem.
