The food and service at Earl's are really hit or miss, but I had to settle on 2 stars for the inconsistencies. I've eaten the brisket and ribs many times, and sometimes they've knocked it out of the park, while other times they've dropped the ball. The meat tends to be on the bland side, but what really shocks me is just how bland the sauces are. The spicy sauce tastes exactly the same as the regular sauce: what's up with that? I think they're overpriced for what they serve too.

Above average BBQ joint. The Moore outpost of Earl's is like the one near Bricktown. It's large, you order at the counter, and they get food out to your table quickly, particularly during lunch. On my last trip to Earl's, I went with the smokestack, which is a sandwich with chopped brisket, hot link, and cole slaw. I asked for pulled pork instead of brisket, and that request was accommodated with no issue. For sides, i went with potato salad and fried okra. I also added one rib for $2.29. I love this option, it's something only a few places do. For that $2.29, I was given a large rib that was juicy throughout. It had a nice pull from the bone, was tender, but not too tender. Great way to try Earl's ribs without buying a half or full slab. Of the sides, the okra was the clear winner. In fact, I wouldn't order the potato salad again. My serving was severely underseasoned and was too runny. The sauce to potato ratio was way off. Big miss. The okra was standard fried okra. It wasn't overly fried, which is good. I would order this again. The sandwich was solid, I've had better pork and hot links, but this was an above average sandwich. It's a decent size, you'll likely need a fork. The bun was tender and (for the most part) held everything together. This location is large, and people were constantly coming from behind the counter to clean off tables as diners left. You get your own drinks, silverware, sauces, etc. But, the employees are doing their job getting your food out quickly and keeping the place clean. I'll return.

Food was dry and tasted bad. Service was terrible. Beer was that watered down stuff you get at 7-11. Not going back.

Bland bland bland! This isn't even real bbq! you can taste the fake smoke flavor pumped into the meat. We had the earls binge and it was nothing short of devastating. Super tiny portions compared to what real bbq servings are- my husband and I actually left the restaurant still hungry, that should never happen at a bbq house!! heck I'm from California and we have MUCH better smoke house restaurants. Definitely never coming here again. The search continues...

This by far was the driest brisket. The fried okra and french fries were good. The chicken was okay. Service was friendly and prompt. I cannot even pick up the brisket on my fork because it was so dry and would fall apart.

*Salivates* I'm not very big on bbq (Yep, I'm Oklahoma born and raised. I'm awful at this southern thing!), but Earl's is just somethin' else. I love this place. I don't go often, but it's been great the few times I've had it. Just walking in makes me shudder with antici... pation. It smells sooo good! It's also a plus that the workers are very smiley and friendly. What can I say about the food? If it's a dish you already like, Earl's does it better. Haven't tried something? Try it (barring allergies and predispositions to types of food you know you don't like)! Amazing curly fries, ribs, sandwiches, chicken... my particular recommendations? *The Smokestack -a sandwich with chopped brisket, hot link, and cole slaw. * Elvis fries -These are NOT on the menu! Okay? And every Earl's location does something a little different. Things that it can involve: Always curly fries. Variations include: baked beans, cheese, bbq sauce, brisket, hot links, other stuff! Just ask them about it!

I loved the sweet tea and the spicy hot Links. I wasn't a fan of the ribs as they were under cooked. The staff was friendly.

Earl's is a place with great food, but the atmosphere and staff are not my style; for that reason, I usually order take out. The food is great. The cheddarburger is one of the best in town. The ribs, baked potatoes, sandwiches - all good. The price is quite reasonable. The tables are about 2 and a half foot square. If you sit four adults down, you'll be moving the condiments around just to get everybody comfortable. In the evening they pack 'em in and it gets pretty loud inside. At lunchtime it is much more relaxing. The staff is hit or miss. I've had great service and I've had some bad attitudes serve me as well. They are always clean. If you order a beverage you take it with you when you leave, which I like. The food by itself deserves 4 stars. The environment, especially in the evenings, deserves a 2.5.

To fulfill my BBQ fancy when visiting OKC, I stopped by Earl's in Moore on Memorial Day weekend 2012. The restaurant was kind of dead as it was a holiday and most folks BBQ at home. I ordered a full chicken, pound of brisket, and a slab of ribs to carry out. Five minutes later the food was packed, hot and ready to go! Ribs were cooked well (not over or under cooked). The brisket had a little of seasoning without the BBQ sauce yet the chicken was very tender with a char-broiled taste. One minor qualm is that the hot sauce was actually mild! But the sweet sauce was indeed sweet but not overly sweet. This Earl's location was quite spacious with plenty of tables and seating. The decor has a 1950's / 1960's aesthetic feel with Elvis highlighting on the walls. The food prices were on par with other BBQ restaurants in the area. Given my initial experience I would re-visit Earl's. The food was on point and the customer service was friendly!

Service was very good and fast. However the taste was horrific. The bbq chicken was extremely dry. Not supposed to happen when on the bone. The chopped beef and okra were the highlights. Tiny portion of chopped beef. The curly fries were horribly bland. Go to rib crib if possible instead

Parking lot fairly vacant...should have known better, but location in my town is great. Ordered okra to start. It was so tough and greasy that I suspected it had been redo piped in the fryer to "freshen it up". Server said "I'm sorry ma'am, did you want fresh okra"? What?! You have to specify fresh? Then, the baked potatoes came...not even warm enough to melt the cheese. They also were tough, like they had been kept warm for too long. Overall, a poor dining experience. Don't stop in unless things change and the parking lot is full.

We just moved to the area and I was craving chopped brisket, so we decided to try Earl's. It took over 10 minutes for out waitress to acknowledge we where there after the hostess seated us, and still took another 5 minutes to ask us why we would like to drink! The food was not as good as I expected it. Seemed liked it was too dry. Tried calling a manager but was conveniently unavailable. Not going back.

First off, this location is actually in Moore, Ok. We use their takeout feature all the time, especially during football season. I just call in our order and it's ready when I get there. We love the sliced brisket and smoked turkey and the fried okra. Also, their burgers are huge and really good. They include mild and hot BBQ sauce as well as ranch dressing for dipping your okra in. The staff is always pleasant and the restaurant itself is very clean with a friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Ate there while staying at the La Quinta up the street. There are a TON of bad/mediocre BBQ places, but glad to say, Earl's is not one of them. I had Earl's Binge. I ordered a bit after prime time (8PM), an hour before closing. Great ribs and sausage. Shredded brisket was moist. The BBQ balogna was kind of unusual but OK. Okra well done, as were the green beans. They even added a touch of green to the plate, in the form of a couple of green onions. The place is clean, and service was fine. It's a good place to stop at if you're in the area.

I LOVE EARL'S. TodFather feels like the Smokestack is the greatest sandwich in the world. I personally turn into a 250lb 6'6 man when I walk in the joint, because I have to get The Big Earl (2 meat dinner with two sides - and yes, I do add the Jalapeno Sausage for an extra $1.50). And yes, I eat it all. I'm not going to get into a best bbq of all time debate here because there are others that devote their lives to this sort of fight. I will say their coleslaw is my favorite anywhere - it's super fresh and not over dressed. Here's what puts Earl's into 5-Star land for me: 1. Consistently delicious and accessible menu 2. Locally Owned and Operated 3. SERVICE When I say SERVICE, I mean service. The last time I was in (Saturday, March 9th) one of the girls walking through the dining room complimented the girls on their drawings and took them to go hang them up - precious. When I say SERVICE, I mean service. Like when I went to the counter to grab a to-go container for the rib bones for the dog, the girl at the counter asked me if I had a big dog, because they had a dog box. I have a little Jack Russell, but my MIL was visiting and they brought their lab. So they were gifted a huge box full of tasty good bones. That's what I'm talking about. There's BBQ everywhere, but not everywhere delights in great service. Earl's is totally smokin it. (BBQ pun intended).

4 Stars, would have been 5 but found a couple black specs in my daughter's pink lemonade after it was poured. I poured it out and made another, this time no black specs, I guess the machine was a little dirty. Other than the soda fountain issue I was impressed by the speed and quality of service, everyone made sure we had everything we needed and thanked us for coming in. The food was delicious I had the sliced brisket sandwich and my wife got the pulled pork, I tasted both ;) and thought both were done right with not too much sauce but not too little and dry in the case of the sliced brisket (sometimes a problem). I would recommend to a friend.
