I think this place is a family owned place but not sure. My mother got word that they do an all you can eat crab thing on Saturday so we went yesterday evening to try it. Surprisingly it was pretty decent. It's about 27$ per person and you have to pay before you sit. I'm not sure if everyone in the same table have to do the all you can eat option but our entire table did. The waitress will come around and empty your bucket and ask if you are ready for another plate. Each plate has about two chunks of crab and each crab had about 5 legs. It wasn't salty and it was warm which made it very good. Towards the end it did get salty. My party mentioned maybe we were eating too much and the cook may have put more salt to make us stop eating lol! You can eat anything else on the buffet and even though everything was fried it was pretty decent They have this homemade vanilla ice cream that's pretty good. I had it with a slice of peach cobbler. Good way to end a good meal but this Sunday morning I feel swollen due to all the salt!!

Their food is great homemade quality. You can tell it's homemade. Even homemade ice cream! There are also tons of options for people that don't like fish- there is something for everyone!!

Me and my mom went there for the first time had the buffet it was hot and fresh and delicious! Will definitely be back!

First time for me here. For a buffet, it was pretty good. Does not top a fish in the South, but is good.

This place is now open Wed-Sun. Catfish Cove has very good catfish that is very fresh, seasoned in corn meal batter and not over fried. They have homemade garlic ranch salad dressing that tastes just like Cattlemen's. Everything there is fresh. The employees are very helpful, friendly and appreciate you and the business. Don't forget the homemade ice cream and cobblers. This place is near Kohl's and across from Earl's. They need to update the address on here because it has the wrong address.

Had lunch with my family-ten of us! Everyone had a great meal of course, but also enjoyed the hospitality of another very kind family. Catfish Cove has the smiling faces, and they don't stop there! Seven of us came over 100 miles to enjoy, and we'll be back again and again. Enjoy that catfish! It's what they do. It's very mild, and you can have all you want. The crust is light and well-seasoned. The hushpuppies are very memorable too. The homemade ice cream is not to be overlooked, if you have room.

You know when someone describes a place or a thing as having "no frills?" Catfish Cove is the place that started that saying. This place is absolutely frill-less. Every piece of dinnerware you come in contact with is disposable: cups, plates, bowls, cutlery. To top their homemade ice cream, they have a bunch of Hershey's bottles for you to use: chocolate, caramel, strawberry. You know, like you have in your fridge in your kitchen. Right now. Now, I am not saying this is a bad thing. The money they saved by providing a bare bones joint in which for you to dine they spend on providing a pretty solid buffet for a very reasonable price. They have a fairly standard salad bar, a couple of hot bars, and a dessert bar. The hot entrees include fried shrimp, fried catfish, fish tacos, and chicken tenders. The catfish fillets weren't consistent in size, some were too thin and tasted dry. But, the thicker fillets were solid. They've got a nice cornmeal crust that isn't too thick. The result is a nice crunch that doesn't overpower the fish. But, like I said, that is only on the fillets that are thick enough. The chicken was fairly standard, it wasn't over-fried, which was nice. The shrimp was hit and miss for me. Some was good, a little juicy inside and the breading wasn't too thick. But, others were dried out and way too crunchy. Maybe those had sat in the heating pan too long, I don't know. There is a plethora (of pinatas? No, sadly...) of side dishes. I tried: green beans, okra, mac n cheese, hush puppies, and beans. There were others. Of these, the green beans were the run away winner. They are cooked with onions, peppers, and ham and had great flavor. Not too salty, but certainly seasoned enough. The mac n cheese was a miss, as was the okra. The breading was too thick. The beans were decent, but they could have used that ham they put in the green beans. I was not impressed with the homemade ice cream. Far too grainy. I put it on some apple cobbler which was pretty good. I'd get this again, nice crust, but a good crust to fruit ratio. We went to Catfish Cove on a weeknight. I believe my check (with a water to drink) was around $16.50. I have seen some Yelpers balk at the price. But, for the variety of food you get, I would say it's a fair price. The catfish, when you get the right pieces, was really good. If I had a full meal of those pieces I would say it's a bargain at $17 or so. Service was fantastic, they had a couple of people walking around, picking up empty plates, filling your beverage glasses, being generally friendly. They certainly earned their tip from our table.

We went to this location after hitting up the family farm and honestly didn't know what to expect. Typically when a place is all you can eat for 13 bucks, you have an image of dirty tables and so so food. Boy were we wrong! This is a family spot that brings in regulars and those looking for southern fares. The entire staff was warm, welcoming and very attentive to each table. While the place does have fresh catfish (fried or baked), they have so many other great additions. Almost every type of southern dish you can imagine is there which gives something for everyone. I also enjoyed the homemade ice cream over my peach cobbler. We'll more than likely return as we had a blast. Don't let the paper plates and cutlery fool you, this is a nice spot.

Can only buy the buffet which features mediocre catfish. Not much flavor and the food upset my stomach.

You don't do buffets do you say? Well if you're an Okie who went to the lake or had fish fries at home, you're missing out if you don't do this buffet. Catfish Cove is the cleanest and freshest buffet I have ever been to. And to be quite frank it is the only buffet I will eat at anymore. On Friday and Saturday nights, the buffet food moves so fast it is hot and fresh. The staff wipes down and changes out trays constantly. Want to stay away from fried food for the evening, then try the broiled catfish or the boiled shrimp along with the fresh salad bar. If you're a fan of clams this is the place for you, you do not get a hard piece of fried batter, but clam's lightly battered. A very tasty, but simple selection of food, fresh and served in the cleanest buffet atmosphere in the state.

The worse dinner i have ever had! The price is $13.49 and you eat off Styrofoam plates plastic silverware and Styrofoam cups. Everything is so greasy! The place looks like a dump on the inside! The coleslaw is very sweet and taste like candy. The green beans are overly salty. The french fries are limp and so geasy The bread pudding is like eating egg custard The Apple cobbler had way too much nutmeg and you couldn't taste any cinnamon. The only thing worth eating was the chicken tenders and the frog legs. The ice cream is really grainy and super swet I sopped up so much grease off of the fried zucchini and it was still greasy and I couldn't eat it.. Take my advice and spend a little bit more and go to Charleston's and have a nice steak dinner almost for the same price.

Don't expect fancy because you won't find it here. It's like eating at a cook out with the paper towels, plastic wear and casual atmosphere. Prices are decent, staff very friendly, food is like your grandma would cook it. I enjoyed it with this being my first time.

Catfish Cove is actually good! Surprising considering its an all you can eat catfish restaurant, that serves your food on disposable plates. However, there is a wide variety of good ole home cooked sides to accompany the fried catfish. If you aren't a catfish lover, the fried chicken tenders are good as well. There is a nice salad bar. The homemade ice cream and cobblers are a great way to top off your meal. Go check it out. It can be busy on the weekends.

This was the first time for me to stop at Catfish Cove, when I pulled up and found the place packed, I had hope of something good. I can report this is a Fat Man's Paradise. To start it's a buffet, and has every fired seafood you want. They also have all the sides you would expect. Salad bar and the cold-slaw was worth trying for sure. Homemade ice cream to end it all. Everything was fresh, cooked well and tasted good. Not the most healthy place but a good place to pig out. On your free day of course. Cost your about Fifteen Dollars a plate with drink pulse tip. Enjoy

Eh...it was okay. I'm one of those people that just doesn't pay full price if I can help it, and I was really expecting something for 12 bucks a piece, and it really didn't deliver. The only thing I really enjoyed was the ice cream, which is tasty on the apple or peach cobbler. I really wanted to eat here because it had a five-star rating, but I think I would have enjoyed Taco Bell just as much. If you are on a shoestring budget, skip it, but if you have the money to burn, it's a decent if unimpressive place to eat.
