Such a cute little place! Full of history, started in the 1920s. Must try the corn poppers with your burger and tots! Small town vibe with kind people and homemade salsa. Would definitely come again!

I love eating at a place that is a total opposite of a franchise and is steeped in the life of a community. Had a fantastic onion burger, clearly made with fresh beef today, and a yummy grandma piece of chocolate merange pie. Loved seeing school kids & grownups all having a good time, with teachers bragging on kids to their parents. Wonderful vibe. Wonderful food. I'll be back.

The perfect small town eatery of yesteryear. Burgers are good, fries are excellent, and the will suffice. Worth a try when you are there.

Ate in the small bar room not realizing there was more, but was a great experience. Apart from them making the food right in front of us and refilling our drinks often, the staff was super friendly and even gave us catfish samples. Both the onion burger and the catfish were quite delicious, but I'd even come just for the good company and atmosphere itself. Glad I had the opportunity to eat here!

This isn't Retour Steakhouse in Copenhagen. They don't grind ribeye daily for their hamburgers. What it is is a small-town, near-historic hamburger stand turned cafe that makes griddled hand smashed hamburgers sizzled with onions in their own fat. They're served on a simple bun with simple extras. In a country that tries too hard to gourmet everything, this throwback burger was a home run. They serve a few other things like catfish (I hate catfish) and grilled chicken breast, chicken fried steak sandwich (pretty good), host of fried sides, and homemade pie (also pretty good). No alcohol, but their ice tea is really good. So if you're in that neck of the woods (or prairie, rather) give them a go. They beat In-and-Out burgers by a long shot. And the friendly staff, the small-town locals, and anachronistic interior won't disappoint either.

My mother ate her first hamburger here. I visit if I am within 250 miles. Hamburger Inn, Mangum, OK ranks second behind the Grand Canyon.
