Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Only place we eat pizza, calzones & fettuccini from & it's amazing! Cheesy and piping hot! Made to order. Really nice & helpful staff. We eat there once a week.

My first time ordering from this place. I informed that cashier of this and he was very polite while explaining the various ways to order and even told me of a company that delivers their food independently. I ordered the White Chicken Pizza, Stromboli, and a Gyro for my husband. I wasn't too much a fan of the pizza; it could be several things, the Ricotta cheese (which I'm not use to) or the tomatoes. My dislike could also be based on being brought up on Pizza Hut, it's socialization in the worse. Anyway, the Stromboli was amazing!! I've never had one before but after the clerk described it to me I just had to try it. The bread was a bit thick but so delicious with a sweet taste. I highly recommend you all try this. Keep in mind, I ordered to go so I have not had the pleasure of experiencing dine-in. I hope you all enjoy.

I love their calzones!!!! Been to many restaurants that served them from California to New York and they have by far the best calzone. The staff is very fast and friendly and must eat for cheap "Italian" food.

I've tried their gyros and love them, I think this place is authentic (my opinion) I haven't had any issues with this place. They give you a generous amount of everything. As well as you can't beat an 18" one topping pizza for 9.95 it's always fresh when I pick it up and it great quality!

I love this place! Great atmosphere just about as close to New York City style pizzeria you can get to in Lawton. Nothing beats a 10$ XL pizza with one topping. Toppings are fresh the cheese is real. This place is great for lunch or dinner. Outstanding specials for both. I'm boring when it comes to places like this so I haven't tried everything but I'll be working on it for sure. I finally tried the gyros and they are on point! Hard to find a place that still does them traditional and not frozen.

I honestly don't remember what I ordered(I had gone some time ago), but remember it being tasty. I do remember the cheesecake, was good. Was a tad bit frozen, but otherwise nice. I love cheesecake, what can I say? My husband got the spaghetti, which was really good. Was a nice little place to sit down, although the food is good to take away if so desired. They come in these aluminum containers with lids, so I was able to take the rest of mine home when I got full. It was quiet and clean. We were able to enjoy our meal in peace and leave when we wanted since you pay for everything beforehand.

So we travelled to Lawton to attend an army graduation at Fort Sill. After being on the road for a couple of days we decided to lay low and order food. The front desk recommended Luigi's for Italian. So we decided to place an order. Word to the wise..the portions are huge. For our group we ordered Spaghetti & Meatballs, Chicken Parm. Chicken Alfredo, Baked Ziti and a Sausage Calzone. We probably could've ordered a couple of dishes and split them. Everything was delicious. The marinara sauce was not too tomato-ey. It wasn't acidic and was very tasty. The meatballs were tasty. I would definitely recommend Luigi's Express!

Sysco Food's does Italian and Greek. It is an Express place, and everything is on done on the quick. When traveling in the area, I always drop in for the Gyro's. Are they the best Gyro's? No, but at least they the meat is carved from a Gyro spit instead of being frozen and grilled like a lot of places in the mid west try and do. The portions are large and you get a very good value for the price. If your not a big eater or really hungry you might want to split a Gyro with someone. It's worth the stop if your hungry.

Ordered a Meat Lovers pizza. Very disappointed when we opened the lid looked like a cheese pizza. Where's the meat??

The pizza is pretty good I guess, but I'm prejudiced because I used to run a pizza shop. The Italian food is pretty bland. The thing about Luigi's that really does it for me is the gyros. I can get a gyro dinner with fries and a salad for under ten bucks. And if I don't feel like getting out of the car I can go through the drive through. I can't understand why people go to fast food joints when gems like this exist.

First off, big portions! This is actually my favorite pizza place in town. I love the consistency and the flavor of the bread. I think that is very important to a good pizza. Prices are very decent as well. I haven't tried their other dishes yet, but when we do I'll write about it.

I'm from New Jersey and I expect pizza to be at a certain level. I know I was in Oklahoma and not New York. Since I was in OK I was really craving some good pizza, so I stopped in. Well, the pizza looked pretty good, and they had a special that was two slices and a drink for $5-6. Not bad. But I was really disappointing when I got it. The pizza was not good at all. It lacked flavor. Very plain, I tried to dress it up with some garlic and peppercorn but that was all it tasted like. And to make matters worse one of the waitress was cleaning the window blinds and making such a terrible noise. Sorry Luigi's, I am going to continue my quest for good pizza somewhere else in Oklahoma.

Compared to other places (gyro) the pita is to thick, to much meat, to much sauce (it was pouring out the sandwich), to much thick cut onions, no lettuce. The price is to high for the quality.

I can understand the attempt at what this is meant to be. If you are expecting their dine in quality you will be disappointed. The food is OK. The pizza is made in a S'barro fashion. You order it by the slice and the reheat it. It's good, the closest thing here I have found like that good greasy pizza you get in New York. The gyros are good as well. I usually order it with the fries, which will have a gyro accent to it. They're pretty much gone before I reach my destination. The Chicken Alfredo was OK. I didn't like the pre-made chicken slices in it, but then again this is an Express. If I wanted better I could go dine in at the original. This is a good place if you want Italian/European fast. Keep in mind quality doesn't come in express. It's not fair to expect much more.

Express is the key word here. Unless you order a whole pizza everything is premade. I ordered a spinach calzone (6.95) which they promptly took out of the window by the counter and put in the oven. About 5 minutes later it was reheated. Slices of pizza are the same way. The calzone wasn't bad, but it was mostly cheese and very little spinach. I actually couldn't taste anything except for the cheese. The real downside to this business model is that you can't customize anything... and I'm a customizer. Not bad but not great either. I'd come here again but only because there really aren't any great options in Lawton.

The food is just horrible. We visited a couple of times when it first opened and decided not to go again, now three years later, we thought we'd give it another try. Wrong decision, the pizza was terrible! The dough was extremely thin and chewy, so thin there's no way you can hold up a slice and eat it, it flops straight down. The only flavor in the pizza was salt. So salty that it gave me heartburn for the rest of the day and I only had one slice. The kids all left some on their plates and refused second slice which is unusual for pizza. On top of all that, they swiped my cards several times (two different accounts), and said it wasn't connecting. We finally tried it again when we were ready to leave and it went through. After I got home, I checked both back accounts, and found that the amount had come out of both accounts. I called them immediately and the cashier told me to wait two days and check my bank account again, and told me he will have the manager Sean call me. He did call and told me to go back to Luigis Express to get my money back and he apologized profusely. I went back to the restaurant however was greeted by the same employee who obviously didn't want to me my money back. I had printed out both my bank accounts and showed him both transactions from my two accounts, he still didnt want to give me my money back. He wanted to photocopy my bank statements, I told him absolutely not, they had all of my personal financial information, I might as have given him my SSN! He proceeded to tell me that "in America, we need to have proof for everything", at that point I lost my temper. He saw I was not happy then give me the money back. I gave them some very harsh words and one waitress said to me "watch your language" as I was leaving. Not a single person in there apologized for the inconvenience they caused me for having make a trip back there just to get my double charge back. This is a horrible horrible place to eat, bad food, bad employees, dirty and dingy, the owner/manager Sean needs to spend more time there to improve the place and train the employees properly. They have lost this customer for good.
