Two stars for a cheap and generous lunch plate. I've been wanting to try this place out for months and months now. Last time we went, we ended up not ordering anything. It was 2pm, so we had missed the lunch special. It ends at 130. Ok. No biggie, we just started ordering whatever we wanted. Then I notice the CASH ONLY sign. My husband asks the lady taking our order if this is true. Sadly it is, we had no cash and were in a hurry. *sigh* aww, maybe next time. My fault for forgetting! Fast forward to today. It's about 1230, and we have cash on hand. Let's do this! We figure out what we want pretty quickly: I want a lunch combo #2 which is chicken w/mixed veggies. My husband wants the lunch combo #4, sweet and sour chicken. According to their drive thru sign, lunch specials are 5.50, comes with two scoops of rice and no drink. Ok, great, things are still going ok. Except we've been waiting in the drive thru line for a while and are starving! Me: "We'll take a number two and a number four." Drive Thru Guy: "Will that be all for you?" Me: "Yes, that's all." DTG: "Ok, that will be 5.99." We were not sure we heard him correctly, but I'm already pulling up. Too easy, just ask at the window! DTG: "5.99 please." Me(random amount of money in hand): "I'm sorry, did you hear me say a number two and a number four?" DTG: "Yes ma'am, it's all there." Me(because obviously, two lunch combos with tax will come out to more than eleven dollars): "I thought the lunch combos were 5.50?" DTG: "Yes but with tax, it comes out to 5.99." Ok. FACE PALM. This is not going as planned. I hand him the money, and he hands me the food. I'm thinking, ok that is kind of a big box. But I know within myself this is not what we ordered. Yup, it was all in there, all right: a little bit of sweet and sour chicken, a little bit of chicken w/mixed veggies, two scoops of fried rice. Apparently, saying a number two AND a number four computes to ONE order with a little bit of both. DTG: "Would you like any extra sauce?" Me(still a little confounded at this point): "No thank you." And we drove off. Yes, I could have told him no, no, no, he had it all wrong, we wanted a number two AND a number four. Even though I already said that. Hungry and just want to get home. My husband's stomach was actually growling from hunger. So then. The actual food was ok. Nothing spectacular, but I did like the mixed veggies. The chicken was ugh, but I'm not sure if that was them or me; I don't eat a lot of meat, so either I'm going to like it and eat it, or think it's gross and won't. The fried rice was a little dry, some soy sauce fixed that. But the plate was big enough for me and my husband to share and get full. Mostly because I gave him all my chicken! But yes. For one person, it would have been a very generous portion. If only there was some... way to convey I wanted a number two and a number four? Ha! *PLEASE* tell me how everyone out there in yelpland was able to express this notion to them? Not once did the term "mixed" come into play, so I'm not sure why he thought this is what I was implying? At least ask the customer for some clarification! I am all about some cheap, greasy Chinese food(there are places that exist like this, but actually taste great!) Cheap and greasy it was, but the taste was only ok. I probably won't go back unless I'm about to do lunch with someone and they want to go there. If so, I'm just going to have to reeeaaaly enunciate: A LUNCH COMBO NUMBER TWO *AND THEN* A LUNCH COMBO NUMBER FOUR. :-D :-D :-D Sorry for the long read! I'm laughing about this now, hopefully you find it as funny as I did.

Bring cash. I'm assuming all the people posting, "best Ive ever had" have never left Lawton before. I drove by this place and decided I need to try it. I called in an order and they asked when I could be there. I told them 5-10 mins. I get there to find out its cash only, go a block over, get cash then come back. In that time apparently I had been gone too long and they gave my food away. Not only that the staff was very rude. I told myself the only way I would go back is if the food truly was "best I've ever had". Sadly enough, it fell way short. Don't get me wrong, the food was good, just not great. Honestly, if the staff wasn't terrible I definitely would go back, but I just can't see that happening now. The crab rangoon was very good but unfortunately unless the staff or owner tries to make my visit right with me, that will be the last one I taste.

About what you would expect from a local Chinese restaurant. Everything, I've tried, tastes good and portion size is enough for two meals. With that said; the main reason I come here, is for the Hot and Spicy chicken and/or the Mongolian Beef. I can't get enough of it! I wish I knew how to make it, since I can't find this style of H&S chicken away from Lawton (yes, I've left Lawton before. In fact, I don't even live anywhere near Oklahoma).

Typical fast Chinese food, lower quality meats, salty, oily, rich sauces. Portions are large. I eat here once or twice a month.

Cheap, decent and fast. We called ahead for 2 entrees, spring rolls and crab wonton. Everything was good, I liked my crab rangoon and the general tsao's chicken was decent.

Fast service and good prices! The egg rolls are really good! Lunch special are a great deal. Beef fried rice is my favorite, very generous portions. We always have leftovers for the next day.

Reliable, cheap eats! I love their signature sesame chicken. This is always decent food in generous portions at a really cheap price. Service is quick and friendly. The dining room is pretty sparse and dated, so get the food to go. This place is cash only.

I would recommend this Chinese restaurant to everyone. Every time I am in Lawton, I have to stop and get me some combination fried rice. The portions are very big and the price is really decent. One piece of advice I would recommend is to make sure to bring cash, as they do not take credit cards or checks.

This place is near to my heart as it is in my hometown. The service for the most part can be hit or miss, but I come for one item only. The hot and spicy chicken haunts my dreams as I can't get over the delicious flavor. The texture is crispy but not chewy. I have had a few other items on the menu, but when you want pure bliss, you waste no time on other choices. This place is def. a hole in the wall joint, but what in Lawton isn't these days. For the hot and spicy chicken alone I would drive back from Colorado. Try it and you will not be disappointed. CASH ONLY!!!

I'm very picky with Chinese food wasn't the best but not the worst. If you need some greasy Chinese for a hang over. It's cheap and fast!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
