The food was hot and delicious with plenty of chips and salsa. The order of guacamole was enough for 4. Service was quick and attentive. The inside decor is quite nice which was surprising based on the outside of the building. Only downside was the manager that talked way too loudly to another staff person about the customer who was sick earlier. I won't go into details. The manager left and all was well.

I've ate there a few times and the food is okay. The rice is very flavorless, and the queso is very thin almost like milk, my beef and cheese enchalada where good but my chicken one tasted as if the meat was frozen and microwaved which I'm about 90% sure it was judging the coldspot in the middle covered in slush... If your going to serve microwaved food knock down the prices please. Service is great and fast if its Monday- Thursday. Pretty slow Friday Saturday and Sunday.

This is our family's favorite Mexican restaurant around Grand Lake. We used to go to another Mexican place on Monkey Island, much closer to home, but their drinks are consistently bad with slow service, so we make the extra 20 minute drive to La Casita when we want Mexican! The Patron Margarita is my favorite drink. It's strong, tastes well-blended, and is served in a large glass without asking (like the water and soft drinks size!). The Bella entree is my favorite food. I saw an earlier post and picture of this dish with a bad review and was sad to see that because I've always had a great experience with it! The dish is grilled chicken pieces and veggies on top of rice and a lot of queso. It's also a large portion, so I usually take some home. Their staff is friendly and straight forward as well. The last time I was there, I ordered the Bella dish as usual, and the waiter told me the queso was a little overcooked that day, so the Bella dish would have a smokey flavor to it. He even gave me a sample to try first, and then I ordered it because it was truly smokey, not burned tasting as I feared, but I appreciated that heads up! I'm not sure why they couldn't just make more queso, but at least they were honest! Parking is available on the street in front of La Casita as well as in a parking lot behind it. It can get crowded around prime dining hours, sometimes with a 45 minute wait during summer nights, so try to go during non-peak hours to enjoy it more!

Read all the rave reviews. Confused. Maybe if I had gotten anything else, I would be in agreement. I ordered the "Bella Special" for lunch, described as "rice and queso with grilled beef and vegetables". The "grilled vegetables" were from a frozen bag of broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots. The grilled beef was thin and lukewarm and dry and extremely salty. The rice was dry and crumbly. I got the queso on the side and was glad, because it was a thin, tasteless, velvet a soup with a skin on it. I gave this place three stars because the service was very good and the chips and salsa were decent.

Martin's (La Casita) is by far the best Mexican food in or around Grove, OK. I have eaten at all the others and the only one I choose to go back to on a regular basis (like weekly) is Martin's. The food is always amazing. I have tried a large portion of the menu and have never been disappointed. You can just tell that the ingredients are fresh and your food was cooked to order. Their guacamole is my favorite thing. I could make an entire meal out of chips and their salsa and guacamole. The Fajitas For Two is always a great choice. It is way more food than two normal people could eat and every time comes out sizzling hot. The enchiladas with a white wine sauce is my backup dish of choice. Their bar drinks are reasonably priced and usually one is enough (but I am a lightweight). The restaurant was also recently renovated adding some needed tables and booths to the fairly small restaurant. If you are looking for authentic and fresh Mexican food, then look no further. Take it from someone who has tried all the other options in this town with relatively few choices. If you prefer the greasy, canned, and microwaved taste of most other Mexican restaurants, then you might look elsewhere.

A great Mexican restaurant in the small town of Grove. My favorites are the salsa, queso, and shrimp tacos. Make reservations if you have a larger group.

Very good authentic Mexican food! Came here on a Friday night. It's a busy place, so consider making a reservation (45 min wait currently.) The hostess has the extra challenge of dealing with people arriving via the front and back doors. Wait and bar staff are very friendly. I got enchiladas- chicken with green sauce and cheese with queso sauce. Very good and perfect amount of spice. The salsa and queso are also good. Great place to try in Grove!!

This is a great place to eat. Two thumbs up from entire family! Food has some spice to it for sure, which is a nice change from most Mexican restaurants which seem to make things more bland for the general public. I had the shrimp burrito, 11 year old had kids quesadilla, husband and daughter had fajitas for two. Did you know their fajitas for two is only $13.50?!?! Wow! Queso and salsa were both deliciously spicy. I had their shrimp tacos on a previous visit and they were delicious also.

Martin is an excellent chef with refreshing non greasy Mexican food... Unless you like that then I'm sure he could whip you something right up:) Tamales, gazpacho, and the three amigos are my family's favorites. Amazing food and he never disappoints

Martin has reached a point in his industry which he could simply train his staff, step back, observe & correct as needed. He has not. Martin has such passion for his heritage, his food and his establishment that he continues to work "the trenches" to ensure nothing reaches his customer that isn't to his standards. Many restaurant owners (and every other, besides one in Grove) could learn volumes from Martin as to how to properly own and operate a restaurant. Thank you, Martin!

Amazing food and service. I usually hesitate to order beef fajitas at Mexican Restaurants because the beef strips tend to be chewy. However, I tried them at LaCasitas and they were super tender and delicious. The atmosphere is also great. My husband loves it.

The food is excellent! The service is lacking. We walked in and stood for 5 minutes and no one even acknowledged we came in! Very frustrating. If the service would shape up, we would go often!

The queso was my favorite part of the meal followed with the chef singing in the kitchen! Average enchiladas, tasty margaritas, over all went home happy.

Not a lot of occasion to end up in Grove, but if you do, this place is worth a stop. Based on one stop, I would say this place would do AWESOME in NW Arkansas, who has way too many lousy Mexican restaurants to name. We didn't have a lot of time this day, and no margaritas, but the Seis - the wet burrito with the combo of chile colorado with beef and chile verde with chicken was really awesome. The Chile colorado was super spicy, as it should be. At the table everyone was happy with their entrees, which included tostadas de pollo, some asada tacos, a combo plate with the basic taco/enchilada duo, and the fish tacos. Chips were light, not greasy and salsa was tasty and could be made more spicy with some added hot sauce brought on request. Would like to try this again some day!

Best restaurant in Grove. They serve authentic, high-quality Mexican food. I wish they would make chilaquiles and then they'd be perfect!

Unbelievable! Waited an hour and a half and still no dinner. No word from the manager or an apology. We paid for our drinks and left. And the restaurant was half-full! I won't be returning.

We stumbled across La Casita while looking for a lunch place in Grove, and what a wonderful surprise! They renovated a downtown storefront into a quaint, stylish little cantina with bar and various seating areas. You must try a margarita on the rocks. Definitely homemade margarita mix - very fresh and light. The food came in large portions and everything was flavorful. We tried the chimichanga with angus beef, and the wet burrito with combo meat of chile verde and chicken, covered in green sauce and cheese. All the food was excellent especially the high quality of meat in each dish. Service was great as well as prices. Their lunch special was all-you-can-eat tacos which sounded good, too. Definitely give this place a try if you are in Grove!

One thing i want to mention, if you go on a weekend you should call ahead and make a reservation. Avoid a 30 min. or more wait, but it's worth it. The recommendations for the wet burrito were spot on. Be ready for some HEAT! The queso had incredible flavor, although ours was quite runny.

Best Mexican food I have had in a long time, best queso ever, and very good waiter!

Very good. Had a shrimp cocktail which was enormous and served Mexican style in a soupy sauce filled with fresh diced avocado, diced chiles and cilantro. Nice size shrimp and prepared properly. Then had 2 shredded beef tacos, again very good, shells cooked here, not boxed. Way to much food for 1. Split the cocktail

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
