Excellent service. The chicken fried steak was very good. It was a huge serving of food. I also had a half order of potato skins. All of the food was handmade and not from frozen. If you are in Grove I recommend you give this place a try.

You will not leave this place hungry! First of all, they make all of their food fresh and from scratch -- nothing prepackaged here! We started off with garden salads, and the homemade bleu cheese dressing was delicious. Fairly good salad too with carrots, tomato, house-made croutons, etc. It was a good size for the price. I order country fried steak as my entree, and not only was it a gigantic helping, but it actually came with TWO steaks! I only ate half of one of the steaks and half of the potatoes, so I have one and a half steaks as leftovers! My mom ordered the special which was Bourbon Street steak. It was also a huge serving, with maybe a bit too much sauce for her liking -- she scraped much of the sauce off because she said it was overpowering. Our server, Gideon, was friendly and adorable and seemed genuinely happy to be waiting on us. You should feel how heavy our bag of leftovers is! No need to go out to eat tomorrow... Don't like the sketchy motel that the place is attached to scare you off -- well worth the price paid!

The American Grill in Grove looks like it is remodeling or something (someone told me they actually recently moved to this location). They had a deep-frier down when we visited and warned us we might experience a longer wait than normal. That said, we had two waitresses take care of our party, all food was punctual including deep fried selections, and everything was delicious. I had the bacon wrapped bbq shrimp and was surprised by how wonderful this dish was prepared. We also had a burger and fries, both of which were great. Old fashioned fries made right is a great way to start any meal! Another person in our party had the chicken fried steak meal and it looked so good I would have stolen a bite if he'd left it unattended for even a second. As always, I had iced tea, and it was perfect here. I'll try this joint again some day when I visit Grove once more. If the food is consistent and if the remodeling is behind 'em, this will likely move to 5 stars.

American grill is a personal fav. The staff is very nice and they make good down to earth good although don't be mistaken because they have quite a few nice menu items. The meatloaf is my favorite very sweet and tangy lots of flavors. The fries they serve and the stuffed jalapeños are amazing. Not only that but if you ask they will basically make you anything you want.. Great restaurant great food

Every Time we come here the service and food is great. Pretty much any item on the menu is worth eating. I would highly recommend eating here if you haven't yet. One of our favorite Restaurants in town.

Food was fresh and tasty. My burger was overdone but still quite tasty. The potato skins were not disappointing! I look forward to returning to try something else off the menu. The best part was how reasonably priced it was! You should give them a try!

I had "The Big Mexican" burger and it was amazing!!! The fries where okay. Our waitress always kept our drink full but she seemed very unhappy and didn't smile once. The place was very clean.
