Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Jordan you guys ordered the wrong things. They are very friendly people and have great tacos! Get the taco dinner. Their fish taco is good. They have good seafood plates there. The seafood platter for 4 is amazing!!

Love this restaurant ; but I guess I will start calling before driving clear across town! This is like the third time we have gone there to eat and they were closed! (thurs. Night) I understand that small businesses can do what they want but closing at irregular times CAN impact your biz and your brand!

This is our favorite overall Mexican restaurant in Enid and that is saying a lot since there are quite a few to choose from! They have an extensive menu and there is something for everyone. But their specialty is their seafood and even though I am not a big seafood person, there are a few dishes I often crave for. The Caldo de Camarón or the shrimp soup is what anyone with a cold needs! (step aside Chicken noodle!) The fried tilapia fillet in a jalapeno breading is perfect for someone like me who cant deal with the fishy smell. And the Chile Relleno is oh so good! The owner is awesome, very friendly! And if you go on a weekend, stock up on the fantastic assortment of Mexican breads and pastries that make a great breakfast/snack with a hot cup of joe.

Relaxed atmosphere. Great Food. Good Service. I ate tacos, and my girlfriend had the enchiladas. We both loved our meals. The salsa and queso were homemade and delicious.

Every once in a while, I have to try something new, just so I can Yelp it. 2 Nights ago, Mariscos was my victim. When I first moved to Enid, I was exploring the town, and I drove past this restaurant. The name stuck in my head, because it's a Mexican seafood restaurant. When I risk life and limb for a new eating experience, I expect to be rewarded. We pull up in the parking lot and are surrounded by shirtless 7 year olds riding their bikes through the street. The parents watch from their porches, sporting overalls and staring me down because I am wearing a collarded shirt; a sure sign of someone who doesn't belong here. I tell my wife to fake confidence and act like we own the place. Inside, it's your typical Mexican joint. Multi colored walls, minimal decor. 80+ items on the menu. Room temp tostito like chips and boring salsa are thrown on the table, atmosphere is dismal. Soft music and soap operas play in the background on an enormous plasma screen television. I ordered the Fillete Tropical, a Coconut breaded fish. My wife had fajitas. Everything, and I mean everything, was bad. Edible, but bad. Barely a hint of flavor to be discovered in each dish. Definitely won't be coming back here again.
