Henry Hudson's let violence happen openly. Their owner and bouncers wouldn't stop a regular from attacking me when my friends and I were leaving. Their management is horrible and bouncers even worse. Im not planning on returning until i receive either an apology or their management is fired due to situation since they were protecting their "regular" and wouldnt even tell me his name when i asked. I heard them call his name multiple times but not stop him. Dont go to Henry Hudson's on 2nd street in Edmond if you want to be attacked and not be in a safe environment. Go to champs, wolftrapp, or CGs, though somewhat racist TBH, if you want a safe and good time. Look at my picture for only one photo of the damage cause to myself from their "regular" they were protecting. PS their boss, or owner i never found out, CAMERON is horrible.

too much of a college student crowd that acts like a bunch of drunken teenagers at a house party. but there is always a good import beer special and a cocktail special each month and the food they serve is pretty good. i usually just come in for the drinks though so i dont order food often. karaoke is on thursday nights but the manager has certain songs banned and my boyfriend was told that some people got up and left because they didnt like how he was singing since he had really rough heavy metal vocals. that was BS. this is karaoke not american idol.

I'm sure this bar has a few redeeming qualities for the right kind of patron, but I am not that patron. The bar has poor ventilation, smoke so thick that even friends of mine who smoke regularly find it obnoxious, and a dim atmosphere. The pub grub is typical greasy fare that's quite edible other than the layer of nicotine which forms on everything. The beer on tap isn't anything special, their cocktails are nothing to write home about, and the suggested cocktails are so bad only a college student could enjoy them on the basis that they still induce a drunken state. When I come back from Henry Hudson's, I can immediately toss my clothes in the washer and step in the shower, plenty of soap, dry off, and I still smell like smoke. It takes a second shower and two clothes washings to get the scent out. This isn't some hypersensitivity to smoke either, it's just that ridiculous.

This may be the best bar in Edmond. Henry Hudsons is regional chain that has a decent selection of beers including some micro brews. The food is standard pub fare but it's done pretty well. The burgers and chicken fried chicken sandwich are well, delicious. The appetizers are likewise spot on. There is both pool and dartboards available with an active dart league. The karaoke here is terrible, and it can get super crowded on weekends. Like everything else in edmond you will be driving both to get here and to leave so plan for a designated driver or a cool down period so's you don't get nailed for a DUI upon departure. The staff do a good job of keeping the stupid down, but every once in awhile some idiot leaks through. The absolute worst thing here is that smoking is allowed in bars so you will be smoking whether you want to or not. Second hand smoking that is. Four stars for the lack of anything better in edmond.

Good bar for cheap drinks and when you're meeting up with groups. On weekends it can get a little crowded and sometimes rowdy, but that's any bar. On the weekdays it's pretty laid back. It is smoking and if smoke bothers you, probably pass. Beer specials during thunder games.
