Great large fried onion burger and fries. 1/2 basket of fries was enough for two people. Very quick service and always kept my drink full!

There should be more places like J & W Grill...full of character and characters. The grilled onion burger, fries, and Pepsi were, simply, great. In many ways, J & W's offers lunch and a show. Watch the staff as they maneuver the narrow area behind the counter cooking burgers and serving customers. Don't be alarmed if you are sternly (but, in the most friendly tone) spoken to as you inevitably slow down the choreography practiced brilliantly by the regulars. Enjoy.

Can't beat a double double. With grilled onions. I get mine with mustard and pickles only. Fries are hand made as well. They also shred their own cheese. Hands down a Chickasha classic. Their ice machine is also the best. If you can make it for breakfast do it!!

A total gem located in the heart of Oklahoma. My husband and I happened upon this restaurant on a cross country drive. They almost won't let you leave without ordering a fried onion burger, so best just to ask for one up front. The fries are fantastic and one order is enough to feed three. The food is fresh and fast and the service is unbelievable. Highly recommend!!

Great greasy burger joint. The onion burger had great flavor but on this day the hand cut fries stole the show,. For nostalgia sake, sit at the counter and watch the griddle sizzle as each burger is smashed with onions. The service was quick and efficient. Take time to exit the turnpike and experience an old school American dive.

Very good food!! Perfect place for a burger and fresh cut fries! Best place for lunch in Chickasha that we have found. The seating is very tight but definitely worth it. The ice cream shakes are really good, we can never finish our food!

This place is one of my all time favorites! Been coming here for 40 years and it hasn't changed a bit! Great staple of Chickasha and a must see if you have never been. Great service, great food! Gotta get an onion burger and the fresh cut fries are second to none! Not many seats but the food is quick and they will have u a place quick!

It is a wonder to watch the employees in action around lunch time. We stopped there on a whim when the burger place at Meers had a line 40 deep out the door. Not terribly hungry after a quick hike in the Wichitas, we waited to eat until we reached Chickasha. Boy am I glad. Fries were fresh and hot and served immediately while we waited on our burgers. The burgers showed up maybe 3 minutes later. Best onion burger I've ever had. Clientele is mostly local and friendly, it's got all the small town charm you could ask for. Simple diner with limited seating, but the onion burger is worth waiting for, not that you'll have to wait long. They take to-go orders and if that's the route you go you'll be in and out in less than 10 minutes, easy.

Been eating here since I was born ;) small cheeseburger few fried (for those who want just a few fried onions). When you drive by you can't help but smell the awesomeness and want one!

Best breakfast in town. Brandi is the best server. My drink is never empty. She always knows my order. One morning she even ordered my daughter an extra pancake just in case she needed one. The grill was going to change over to lunch. My daughter was so happy cause of course she needed another pancake.

Freshly prepared food + friendly staff - seasoning - sufficiently drained fries = charming greasy spoon. This place is the Cheers of Chickasha. Everybody knows your name, unless you don't live in Chickasha, then they just stare at you. Very fresh food, all cooked right in front of you on the griddle in all it's small town diner glory. I had the fried steak sandwich, served piping hot. Not a lot of seasoning, but the freshness of the ingredients carried the meal much farther than typical fast food swill. They will give you an entire fryer basket worth of fries for a SINGLE order, again, hand cut and sat down in front of you seconds out of the fryer. The problem this presents is 3 fold though: 1. You want to eat the fresh fries, but when you try, you cauterize the inside of your mouth because they JUST CAME OUT OF THE FRYER. 2. No time for the excess grease to drop back off into the deep fryer, so instead they drip all over the basket/hands of the person eating them. 3. Not fried properly as in twice, so many of the fries end up being limp and lacking crispy-ness. I saw several un-kosher practices that wouldn't cut the mustard if an inspector came through, but nothing that would scare me from coming back. It is super cheap, super fresh, could use some polishing & refining, but not much gets polished in Chickasha, OK, and the most refined thing in town is USAO's art gallery. Healthy? Hell no. Tasty? Yeah. Something I'd drive from OKC all over again to indulge in? Not a chance.

Second best burger in Oklahoma, right after Nic's OKC. They know how to fix burgers, service is outstanding, their fries are dead on. Can't go wrong at J&W. Get there early.

This place is good! It's a no frills diner with table seating outside. I had a burger with bacon and onions. I'll definitely come here again.

This is an American original. It has been in the same location and looked the same for at least 40 years. They make onion burgers -- a small patty of burger meat fried with a handful of onions. Come in during lunch for a real show. Don't worry if there are no seats because they move a lot of burgers. When they ask you ask for a "cheese burger fried and a basket." Then sit back and watch the action. They take the orders like the old SNL skit, except instead of "chee burger, chee burger" they use a different code. See if you can figure it out. It looks and sounds like complete chaos, but everything is in perfect order. Burgers come off the grill in the same order as they went into the cook's head. Half the time, he can tell you who ordered it. These are not the greatest hamburgers in the world, but they are the greatest onion burgers in the world. Go for the experience. I stop there at every opportunity.

My wife and I ate here in December 2011 while visiting the Festival of Lights. It has the best service I have ever encountered. It beats all 5 star restaurants I have eaten at. The food is good old american. It is fast, fresh, and generous. It seems to be really busy, but definately worth the wait.

We make a stop here every year when my family visits Chickasha from New England! GREAT, speedy service, cozy diner feel, and delicious, classic, melt-in-your mouth burgers with fried onions on top yum yum! Just had to take off a fraction of a star cuz you'll leave smelling like what you ate!
