After an awful experience hosting an event at the Price Tower, I wrote the following email to their Executive Director. Mr. Boles never replied to my email nor did he try to address my many concerns. He, instead, had another employee email me with the final invoice with no indication that they cared about our horrible experience. Mr. Boles, My name is Rachel and my high school class had our 10 year reunion at your facility last night. I have quite a few concerns that I would like to address. Our experience was so poor that I would never recommend holding any event at the Price Tower to anyone. I plan events often and have used the Price Tower twice now. The first time was a year ago for my parents' 30th anniversary party. That experience was great which was why I chose to have our class reunion there. I'd like to first mention that communication throughout the whole planning process was very poor. Julie Pranger was very helpful. However, she switched positions and I had a difficult time figuring out who did what from then on. Each person had a different story. No one really seemed to know what was going on. Yesterday, my peer and I arrived at 3pm to set up for our event. Adam was there when we arrived and was irritated that we were there so early even though I did verify the day before that we could come in that afternoon to set up. We were supposed to have both Fallingwater and Hillside reserved and my contract verified that. Adam didn't believe me and said they never rent out Hillside which explained why there was a lot of stuff in there for storage. After I showed him the contract, I agreed that we could just use Fallingwater in agreement that we would be billed for the other room. Since I had only paid the deposit, there would need to be a refund. He agreed but was very aggravated. A smaller group of us made a dinner reservation at 6pm at Copper Bar. When we arrived, I asked if we could get back into Falling water so I could finish setting up. We were told no immediately. They did end up opening it up. Another man brought us our cake (he was very friendly and helpful but I cannot remember his name). Some of the icing had fallen off from the heat so I asked if they had anything I could try to smooth it with. Adam was again rude. He brought me a spatula but wouldn't say anything, not even you're welcome when I said thank you. We had our dinner and our waitress was great (she had red hair, again I'm awful with names). She was very attentive and took great care of us. After dinner we went back to the bar. By this point, the bartender had an attitude as well. On top of the rudeness, the bar was pretty much out of every beer, red bull, and various other beverages. This reunion had been planning since April. Your staff was aware that we were coming and would have 30 to 40 people, yet no one made sure that the bar was stocked. We had our reunion and no one once came to check on us and see if anyone wanted drinks. We had to go to the bar each time. The snack foods we had were subpar. The fruit tray was supposed to consist of pineapple, cantaloupe, honeydew and grapes. There was only pineapple and cantaloupe. The salsa tasted like picante sauce. The cheese tray was okay but the pinwheels were awful. We barely touched any of the food. At 9:25, the bartender came in and said we had 5 minutes to get our stuff out. Our agreement did state that we had the room from 7:30 to 9:30. However, I had verified with Julie early on that we could stay until the bar closed at 11. We wanted to stay and drink at your facility. Anyway, we packed everything up. I went into the bar to have my husband help me bring everything down. The bartender said "did you get everything out?". I said, "we're working on it." She said, "well, you have 2 minutes left so you better hurry.". At this point, I was beyond fed up. I did have a confrontation with her. We spent a lot of money with your facility and were treated so poorly (which she said we didn't spend very much money). Every single person mentioned to me how hateful the bartender and Adam was. My concerns could go on to include no tablecloths (though I verified that here would be white tablecloths provided), having to clear drinks and clutter from the room ourselves before the event, the air conditioning system, and multiple other things. Overall, I would say this was the worst experience out of any event I have planned. Growing up in Dewey, I love to give my business to local businesses. I work as a Marketing Specialist and plan multiple events a year. I'm also starting my own business in wedding planning. As much as I love the history of the Price Tower, I will not be coming back. This is my second year as a member and it will be my last. I cannot express enough how disappointed I am in the service we were given and the unprofessional manner of the bartender and Adam. Again, I do appreciate our waitress and the few other employees that did help us.

Great mid-century modern atmosphere, as everything is still original. Excellent views. Elevator ride is a bit off-putting. This is more of a bar than a restaurant. Typically very slow service. High turnover rate for bartenders/staff means the quality of your drinks, food, and service will vary from visit to visit. Food is average. Small overall size of venue can leave groups larger than 4-5 feeling cramped. Like most places in Bartlesville, the hours are limited. Recommend going at least once for the atmosphere and experience.

Friendly bar staff, good sense of humor. Good beer selection, be aware they sometimes run out of stuff (I had the last Sierra Nevada) and the mixed drinks are a bit light. Lovely setting, we especially liked the olives as part of the wallpaper.

Don't kid yourself, you come here to have a drink and maybe some snacks in this amazing building. The bar maidens are fun and easy on the eyes and surprisingly are pretty good at pouring cocktails. As far as snacks are concerned, the nachos, loaded fries and the grilled cheese and grilled steak sammiches will do you right.

This is a building experience, not a restaurant experience. Take the elevator up, get a drink, check out the view, go eat somewhere else. Only bar food, fine dining has been discontinued. Service & food were weak. The waitress almost seemed surprised we were there to eat, and only brought our table of two one menu, one napkin, & two forks.

Can't beat the view at the top of the Copper Restaurant and Bar; You feel you are in Dallas.! Bartenders there are excellent as well, even if they do have a lot of changeovers. Enjoy!

Spent the night in the Price Tower and decided to have drinks here and it was FABULOUS!! The atmosphere gets high marks because it's an effin' Frank Lloyd Wright designed highrise (!!) and the bar is made of copper (love that smell!). We sat at the bar and watched the sun set as we made friends with our super friendly bartender and a diner at the end of the bar. Drinks were excellent - we had dirty martinis and great wine recommended by the bartender. Comp breakfast the next morning was the standard continental but kicked up a notch (did I mention it's a FLW bldg). Weather was nice so we ate outside.

I made a detour on a business trip from Chicago to Tulsa to see the Price Tower and decided to linger for dinner at Copper. My oh my. It was fantastic, and unexpected. I thought that for a tourist attraction/art center the food would be an afterthought. It was not. I had the caprese salad and chocolate mousse. It was on the expensive side, but not compared to a comparable meal in Chicago -- and every bit as good.

Ok food, nothing to rave over. Service was very good with a great atmosphere. The building is the reason I went and it was worth it.

On a weekend In Bartlesville (in for the OK Mozart Festival), we decided to visit the Copper Bar at the Price Tower. First of all, this is clearly a very special space, feeling as one might imagine the bar on the Hindenberg or a Pan-Am Clipper to be - small, intimate, upscale. I could complain that the Martinis I had on our three visits varied from pretty decent to nearly undrinkable (due to the wretched overuse of vermouth by one of the three bartenders we encountered) - but I won't. Go to the Copper Bar, enjoy the space and, hopefully, a good drink.

Bartlesville's best dining IMHO. I haven't actually eaten there since Chef Michael left, but the food I've had there would compare to the best anywhere. And the ambiance of Frank Lloyd Wright's live-in, work-in sculpture (his only completed skyscraper) doesn't hurt either. The restaurant/hotel remodel was exceptionally well done. The bar area is very small, the acoustics are awful, but it's classy and is truly a cultural oasis in the Bluestem prairie... and you can take in the museum on the first floor to complete the experience. Be sure and notice the original woven copper curtains (custom made for the Price Tower) and the huge cloisonne mural in the museum lobby.

The food here is pretty good, for what you're paying for it. In my opinion, the best part about the restaurant is the fact that it is located at the top of the Price Tower. It makes for a romantic and special evening, and for Bartlesville? You can't find many places that offer such an ambiance. Overall, there is better food for better prices in Tulsa, but if driving 45 minutes for a nice dinner is too much of a hassle, The Copper is really your only in-town choice.
