Looks like the kind of place you'd never dream of going to in a million years, but it's actually pretty darn good. The tortilla chips, shrimp, chile rellenos, everything is high quality and the service is great. The interior was probably last updated around the time Reagan was President, but it's part of the charm. It's definitely one of the best restaurants in town, honestly.

The owner guy is a JACKASS! He should not be seating people or taking their money. He has NO social skills. He should stay in the back and make sure the food is prepared properly. The fried fish is ok but not nearly as good as Rib Cribs catfish.

You can't go wrong with anything on the menu here, but while the catfish is outstanding, they have the best chili rellenos of anyplace I've ever had them! Give me a try!

You can't go wrong with this place! It's def off the beaten path but it had great catfish & fried shrimp. LOVE their coleslaw. But also try their Mexican food! They bring in fresh chillie rellenos!

Enjoyed the spicy fried pickles and the small fried shrimp. Didn't love the catfish...the texture was a little mushy and the tarter sauce was meh. Okay, but nothing special.

Stumbled across this place from yelp comments. Strange with Mexican and fish both but worked out great for my family. The fish was fresh and cooked exactly right. The Mexican was also not pre made. It was a great experience and we had to make a trip back the next day before we left the area

I have eaten here many many times but I have to confess that I have only had the fried catfish dinner. This is THE place in Ardmore to get fried catfish. I make a regular habit of calling in for take out. The kicker is that if you are retired or active duty military...you get a discount!!! Great place and my food is always hot and served with a smile.

Very, very diverse menu. Catfish, chicken fried steak, Mexican food...something for everyone. The fried pickles and fried green tomatoes we had for an appetizer were fantastic. Service was awesome. It was a very busy on a Friday night but we still received great service.

Shrimp is great! But unfortunately, the fish seems to be getting smaller. Also had the chicken fried steak. The steak itself was ok, but the gravy had a burnt taste to it. Overall, the food is ok, but have had better. Not really worth $11 per person average.

woulda never thunk mexican food could coincide with fried fish, but it do! the joint is nothin' fancy, but what they lack in decor, they sure make up in taste and service! i've not had any mexican food from here, but from what i saw it looked good. they have nice combos for fish and shrimp, which were cooked to perfection. unlike the other yelper, i was NOT down for the green tomato relish, but hey, to each his own! both times i've been we have had a very large group and the staff was more than accomodating. i almost woulda thought one of 'em was my aunt ;-) friendly, relaxed atmosphere. i would practically live there if they had one where i lived. =) ardmore is not that big, but i would venture to say it is a city secret.

Great catfish, good mexican food. Came here with extended family on Friday. It was my second time. Lovely cornmeal breaded catfish -- delicious. Nice spiced fries. Yummy coleslaw with not-too-much mayo and refreshing pickled green tomato relish. My sweetie's chili relleno was also terrific. Inexpensive, fast, friendly service.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
