I am not a fan of Cracker Barrel. However, the decision to eat "lunch" here was not mine, and I was overruled by a large, family, majority. I was feeling a sweet tooth, thus I decided to satiate the daunting internal cries with "Momma's Pancake Breakfast". It consisted of three buttermilk pancakes, 2 eggs and 2 sausage. Since I am currently loosing weight, I decided to sub in healthier foods where able. I got sugar free syrup, 2 Egg Beaters (egg substitutes), and 2 turkey sausage patties. The eggs where quite bland - no real taste. The turkey sausage patties weren't bad. They weren't stupendous, but good enough to satisfy the taste buds. The sugar free syrup also wasn't bad, but I've never been one to load on the syrup. Best part of the meal? The buttermilk pancakes tasted great. Maybe I'm overstating them - I haven't had cakes in quite awhile - but the fluffiness and rather rich flavor made the grade.

I honestly wished I could give this place more stars. I have heard nothing but good things. We stopped here for a quick lunch. I ordered chicken fingers with has brown casserole and steak fries. The fries were nothing special and the casserole came to me cold. My boyfriend got chicken and dumplings with green beans. He said the dumplings were OK but the beans were practically straight from the can. The cornbread was dry. Biscuits tasty. I feel like we wasted 25 bucks. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I've been here twice to this same location and the first time I got chicken and dumplings which are made differently then my mom makes em so they weren't as good. Those are more doughy and I think my mom makes em with bisquick and they are huge. The second time I got the New York steak which honestly I should have gotten something more country since that's where I was at. Service with a smile, great sides and I'm sure there are better things to get then what I got.

Love Cracker Barrel! I usually get the beef stew with corn bread. Always the same - always great! Wish I had access to their source for antiques. Geez, they have a bazillion dollars in inventory that's just antique decorations!

I have never been here before, as I had previously assumed it would be garbage (due to the name, I mean really?) The moment I stepped through the doors on that wide, wide porch, my eyes glazed over. There was STUFF everywhere! STUFF to buy! So much STUFF! I ran around like a kid in a candy store, looking at gaudy knicknacks 'n' garbage I don't need for the house, before my boyfriend slapped some sense back into me and dragged me into the restaurant with his parents. We were seated, I ordered a tea or something... I don't know. Whatever, it's not important. What is important is that on each table they have this little "IQ game" where you try to move pegs around, similar to Chinese Checkers and however many pegs you have left show how smart you are. I had a few left, so apparently I am an imbecile. Sigh. Looking through the menu, I was delighted to find they had a low-carb section. For many reasons, most of which are too long-winded in an already way-too-long review, I usually eat low-carb. This is not standard fare, typically you have to butcher your food to some degree or order boring stuff like a steak and broccoli (I miss nachos, a lot. Que emo time.) in order to keep low-carb. I actually went pretty boring anyway, and got a bun-less cheeseburger, some cottage cheese, and asparagus (kind of like fries, right?) They also have a sugar-free apple pie dessert. I was going to skip it, but the rest of my table ordered dessert and I felt bored and sad, so I ordered some and ate it. And it was good. And all was right in the world. I got to stare at the STUFF on the way out some more, but suddenly we were on a deadline to get out to the parking lot (boyfriend hates standing around while I shop, who knew?) and I vacated the premises, with no STUFF in hand. All in all, I would like to return soon, for low-carb goodies and maybe get a chance to purchase some STUFF.
