Errands to run in old Worthington-- looking for a lunch stop that wouldn't take too long. Old Bag has a neighborhood feel that teeters on contrived, but pleasant nonetheless. We ate outside on the sidewalk. It was sad looking around and seeing so many vacant storefronts, but that's not really a reflection on Old Bag. I was pleased with the salad selections. I went for a large spinach salad with scallops. The scallops were fairly small and sparse. I wish I would have gotten the shrimp. Overall, though, a tasty option. Good place to bring a group-- lots of options, mid-level, nothing too offensive or out there. If you have more time and a few extra bucks, go to the Worthington Inn instead.

Absolutely loved this place. I called at the last minute to ask if they had room for a party of 14(on Columbus day weekend) not only did they fit us in but the food was fantastic. I haven't had fish and chips that good in a long time. Our server Kim was the best. We all will remember this restaurant the next time we are in Ohio.

This review is of their breakfast. If I could give no stars I would. It was disgusting. Both of the dishes we ordered had at least a pound of cheese melted on it. I had to send mine back twice and eventually quit trying and left after forcing down less than half of the food. I think most of the dinner options only rate 2 stars but this was sooo bad. Unless our friends insist on meeting there for drinks, we will not be returning. It's unfortunate too since we only live a block away and Old Worthington has a limited selection. OBON used to be so much better 10 years ago. Their fried pickles are awesome but that does not make up for the rest.

@SS crack flavored beer? If you go into the Old Bag of Nails in Worthington, and there is a dark-haired barmaid named Rachel, LEAVE. We went in for a beer - she took our order, grabbed a glass, then REACHED WAAAY DOWN THE BACK OF HER PANTS AND SCRATCHED T

Clam Chowder is the best in Ohio, cannot be beat. The fish is excellent, none better, and my Bride always orders it and we split the sandwich. Service is good, but it is the food that brings us back. Parking sucks, but it is downtown Worthington. Park behind the hardware store.

I came back to Columbus for a visit and met a couple of my friends for dinner at the Old Bag of Nails. Came in on a Friday evening and was able to get a table fairly quickly without a wait. Food was good as always. I always enjoy coming here as you do not typically get this type of autmosphere at any restaurant.

Some friends and I ate dinner at the Old Bag of Nails Pub on our recent trip to Ohio. We found it somewhat by accident but were glad we did. The food was yummy. I had a burger which was juicy and I enjoyed the onion rings and blue cheese it was topped with. We started with the fried pickles as an appetizer and they were very good also. They are whole spears instead of pickle chips like I'm used to but the breading was excellent. All three of my friends ordered the fish and all loved it. I tried it as well and I have to say that if I ever get back I might have to order that! I'm not much of a fish lover but their fish could change my mind! Our server was friendly and we loved the atmosphere. I would definitely return if I were in the area again!

I haven't been to Old Bag of Nails for years....but the hubby and I had a hankering for fish and chips.....so why not. Oh....plus, we had to go somewhere kid friendly since we had our daughter in tow. It wasn't overly busy on a Sunday night, but there were people there filling the bar and most of the tables. Our server was great and really did cater to our little one (always appreciated). Guinness in hand and fish and chips on the way, we enjoyed a very relaxing time as a family. Patrons in there were so nice to our daughter too. Talking to her and asking her lots of questions. She is quite the social butterfly, so she enjoyed this very much. Fish and chips were delish! Our daughter didn't care for the macaroni & cheese she ordered, but she ate fish off our plates and enjoyed it very much. Plus, come to find out Sunday night is kids eat free. That's always a pleasant surprise!

Fabulous Friday Fish& Chips with great atmosphere and a friendly waitress. Highly recommend this Pub.

I had a cheeseburger that was pretty good, as were the onion rings that replaced the Clam Chowder that had hair in it. I was afraid to touch the mustard bottle it was so filthy. The service was okayish. I will not return.

We are all talking about the same place, right? I've never given a 1-star review on Yelp, but this particular Old Bag of Nails Pub completely deserves it! We went there on a Saturday night and the place was dead. D-E-D, dead. Well, great, we thought, better service for us. Eh, not so much. Our server was ridiculously slow and literally had to come back to our table 4 times to tell us certain beers that we had ordered were out or no longer even being sold (including the Old Bag of Nails beer itself! No longer being sold and he didn't know that!). The food is what you would get at any run-of-the-mill Applebees - as uncontroversially bland as possible. I have no idea why anyone would want to go out of their way to try out this place.

This place rocks! The atmosphere is so laid back, they have a huge array of beers, and food that is so good that my mouth is actually watering right now. Be prepared for a short wait on weekend nights, but if you go during the day for lunches there is never a wait. The staff is always super friendly and won't hesitate to strike up a conversation with you. I am one of those 'always order the same thing' people, so mostly this review is for what I tend to get. I always start with french onion soup, it is classic. It is so incredibly good; they make it exactly how it should be made. Delicious. I have also had their lobster bisque [which is a soup of the day some days] and it is definitely quality. I feel like a good bisque is hard to get right, but they definitely make one worth trying. Now the main event, the New England Reuben. Such a phenomenal sandwich. It's a fishes take on a normal Reuben. It has their awesome fish, topped with melted, gooey cheese, thousand island, and coleslaw. It is stellar. I've also heard that their normal reuben is off the charts. If you want a good, laid back atmosphere and good food for your buck, this is a great place to check out!

Always delicious food. Crowded, noisy, boisterous and very welcoming to the newcomer. I had a delicious grilled chicken sandwich and my daughter had their famous fried fish. Our server did a great job of getting everything to is quickly. Great evening!

This is my favorite Pub. I've been to this location and the Westerville location, but I feel guilty buying beer in Westerville, and I prefer the food at this one. All I have to say is that if you go here, don't screw around and try to outsmart yourself. Fish and Chips is the way to go. With Guiness. The fish is light and flaky, and the batter is crispy and rich, just like fried fish should be. The fries are of the steak fry variety, and always done well - not soggy, which can be a problem with steak fries. I like that the place is small and feels like a cozy bar. This is the kind of place you'd expect to find on the upper east side in New York, and not in Worthington, except thast it's uch cleaner, and they always show the Buckeye games. It actually fits in very well with the surroundings.

I'm a Reuben addict so I'm always on the lookout for a restaurant near my home or work that sells them. When I realized that Old Bag of Nails had them on the menu I was ecstatic. I'd never eaten at this one before but several of my co-workers swear by it, so one evening I decided to give them a chance. Big mistake. Admittedly it was carry-out and that can ruin many a fine sandwich's texture, but I only work two minutes away and it wasn't only the texture that was lacking. The meat was chewy, overly fatty and oily on the tongue. The sauce was mediocre, and the bread hadn't been grilled long enough to even properly melt the cheese. Color me unimpressed. From now on I'll bite the bullet and get to a real sandwich shop. Apparently Old Bag of Nails should stick to fish.

I work just up the street and call the Old Bag for lunch at least once a week. They have a good variety of food (ok, it's not authentic Irish food but it's a chain for god's sake, what do you expect?) and the service has always been good. They have a good variety of beers on any given day and a nice amount of seating. Just wanted to put in my 5 star review to help my neighbors out & offset some of these other reviews from people with unreasonably high expectations.

This is my favorite place for fish & chip!! And wash it all down w/ Young's Chocolate Stout! The fish is light & flaky.. chip is always done right & crispy. I had eaten around the world.. this is definitely one of the best place you can get fish & chips outside of UK. Must also try the fried mushroom & pickles... GREAT! I had moved away from Columbus for 3 yrs... and I still think about those fish & chip!

This place is great! They have an awesome happy hour from 2-7pm. The fish and chips are delicious and we enjoyed the fried pickles for an appetizer with our beers. Good drink specials and full bar selection. The fried pickles came out real hot and were amazing! The basket of fish and chips were good and had huge pieces of fish. Great place to eat and definitely going back soon!

Fish and Chips! That's really all I need to say. All you can eat for $13. This is a smaller pub/restaurant, but has a welcoming feel in Worthington. Food is Great, service is Great.

Went here for dinner on a Wednesday night. The place was crowded, but the service was still very good. They have a decent beer selection on tap, and serve standard pub fare, and the appropriate level of grease is there. My turkey reuben was good, though it could have been toasted a bit more thoroughly. If you're in the worthington area this place is worth a try, but nothing special.

I am a fan of Old Bag. Ive only tried the Worthington location, but Ive had a consistent experience. its rather small inside, but Old Worthington is all about location. I am a bit wider than the small seats they give you, so when at all possible I ask for a table for three. ( Whether or not there are three of us, lol ) That being said I have learned that the key to this experience, is not waiting until you are out of food before ordering the next refill. Restaurants attempt to stall you out until you realize you are full. This way I'm able to stuff myself while its fun and suffer later ! I'd definitely recommend it. last time i was there i had my fish battered, then dipped in corn meal! That made the experience great for me.

  • Peter D.

The food is great. Its really grown my enjoyment of fish, and the apps are really good. I'd suggest the deep fried mushrooms, also the boneless wings are a solid choice. Everytime i go i end up with the all you can eat fish and chips, i really need to branch off into the fisherman's platter. I can also attest that the quesadilla is epic and the salad selection is great. Problem here is how crowded the place gets around dinner. Be ready to wait half an hour with no real place to sit. Its pretty much elbow to elbow in here, and every time i go there is at least one fat lady hooting and yelling with food falling out of her pie hole.

I always love an excuse to be in downtown Worthington whether for Graeters, weekend morning farmers market, or a quick bite to eat. This was my first time at Old Bag of Nails and after being begged for a month I gave in. My husband did his work training across the street and went there every day for lunch with his co-workers and I would here stories every night about it, mainly about the food and rumors of how 'nice dingy' it was. It made no sense until I walked in. There are only a handful of tables all crowed together and also a small bar. The feel is very 'back in the day' rustic chiq with a tad bit of Irish/British flare. Totally nice & dingy at the same time, clearly a Worthington pub. When I say dingy, I dont mean dirty or run down, Im talking strickly on apperances. This place was spotless and had nice charm to it, but dingy none-the-less. There is no better way to describe the vibe then 'nicely dingy.' Getting on with it, there are pictures along the walls and a nice half wall stocked with old beer cans (A nice touch), the tables are old wooden rickety things but also sturdy. The watresses are nice but have an attitude about them that makes you feel at ease; theyre nice, sarcastic, and laid back...not prissy or pushy. I usually have a hard time relaxing in new places but even I was comfy here. The food is good too, not the greatest. It seems if youre in the area and want a nice meal this is the place to be. By no means will I seek this pub out for my weekly dinner out. The food claims to be pub fare, but being Irish I knew better. Its a British place that serves French Onion soup, steak fries, and hot wings (which were good but a little dry). I always get a Guniess when I go to a pub, its kind of a test I do to see if they know what theyre doing. For all of you who may not know, beer is beer and Guiness is something special. It has a very unique way of needing to be poured that if you dont do it right the beer tastes like the worst crap you could ever drink, but when done right it's thick and creamy has the hint of coffee, very easy beer to drink. I hate beer, but I love Guiness. I was even at the factory in Dublin Ireland where I learned way more then I ever really cared to know. Now Im going on and about this for a reason. I mentioned how Guniess is really picky and has to be done right, and I have never had a perfect pint away from the Ireland. Old Bag of Nails almost had it right, and that says a lot. They may not be an Irish place but they knew what they were doing so that was impressive. I ordered the fish and chips (something I swore off after having it in ireland...really just breading with a little bit of fish inside) since the Guiness was good. I was hopeing it was closer to the British formula then Irish. I love being irish, but their food sure can be weird! Long story short, they brought be have a cod....and then asked if I wanted any more once I finished. I was amazed anyone could possibly eat another bite after already having had half a fish. Flavor wise it was yummy, lots of fish compared to breading. After a while it did get a bit soggy. Just a tip but if youre getting the fish & chips dont order an app. Save room, unbuckle you belt, and make sure you come hungry. They feed you well, get you nice and watered, the waitresses talk you up and make you feel at home...and theyre cheap. I wont be going every week, but Ill deff be back soon. Every town needs a 'town bar.' Old Bag of Nails hits the mark on every point and im proud to have them in our town!

The Place: The Old Bag of Nails ("OB") on High St. in Worthington is a TINY little SMALL itty-BITTY place. The atmosphere within is very bar-like, a bit dark, and very cramped. It's kind of got that little hole-in-the-wall-English-pub-type feel to it, which is, I'm assuming, what they were going for. I don't mean to use every adjective in the book describing OB as small to be a NEGATIVE thing. I don't mind small restaurants at all. One should just know before-hand that this place tends to be crowded even on slow nights, and may not be the best place to bring a large group or someone who has trouble navigating small spaces (ex: someone in a wheelchair). For those people, I'd recommend traveling to another OB location (ex: Westerville), that is more spacious. Aside from those concerns, this OB location is clean and comfortable - no complaints. The Food: First I will snag some words from my review of the Westerville location: "In a word: fantastic. The menu is large and full of bar-food staples and favorites." The same goes for this location. I got the Blackened Cajun Burger with fries, and it was quite good. The ingredients were high quality, and the burger and fries were cooked well, and with care. My girlfriend had a sandwich (can't remember which one, exactly), and she enjoyed it. As for the menu, there are upwards of 13 appetizer options (including the FANTASTIC deep-fried pickles), 4 soup options, 7 salad options, 4 seafood-entrees, 1 steak-entree, 1 chicken-entree, 1 pasta-entree, 1 roast beef-entree, 14 sandwiches, 9 burgers, 3 quesadillas and 5 desserts (including the FAMOUS deep-fried Snicker's Bar). Sides include (delicious) onion rings, fries, mashed potatoes, potato cakes, vegetables, fruit, cole slaw, chips and hushpuppies. Everything I've tried (at any location) or anyone with me has tried has been very good. The Drinks: I had a Sam Adam's Boston Lager draft, and my girlfriend had a Blue Moon draft. The drink menu offers 26 foreign bottled beers (including rarities like: Tetley's, Pilsner Urquel, McEwan's Scottish Ale, Fuller's 1845 Ale, Tennants, Belhaven St. Andrew's Ale, Old Speckled Hen and Paulaner Hefe Weizen ), 5 European draft beers, 10-or-so run-of-the-mill American beers (some draft, some in bottles), and 7 cider-beers. The wine menu offers 11 selections ranging from $10-18 per bottle. The Price: Reasonably inexpensive for the quality of the food. Nine dollars for a burger or sandwich, $10 -14 for entrees, including steak and seafood options. The Service: Our server was slow because she was juggling upwards of 10 tables. I'm not going to lay blame on her for that. I am, however, going to lay blame on the management for failing to staff accordingly. Aside from being a bit on the slow side, our server was very nice, and frequently apologetic for her inability to visit our table more often. It troubles me that I've had slow service at two locations, and that so many other people have complained of the same thing. Are they trying to save some money, or is this a case of mismanagement? Overall: I gave the Westerville OB 4 stars. I knocked off a star there because the service was (again) a bit slow. I'm doing the same here. If they could staff a little better and speed up service a bit, I think this would be a 5-star place. The food is great, the drink menu is great, and the price is right. Recommended.

Excellent fish and chips and great beer selection, including Leinies. I understand the small crowded bar scene, however it does wear on me the older I get. A bit more breathing room would make this place fantastic, or maybe I just needed a few more brews..

Recently went for my first time. The inside is very cozy and rustic. I absolutely loved it. The food was hit or miss. Example being the seafood chowder. Horrible. It lacked any flavor and was disappointingly watery. Another example being the fish and chips. Wonderful! Perfectly breaded, packed full of flavor. Squirt on a bit of lemon and I could eat this for hours. I'm curious I go back and give it another shot.

Great Happy Hour place. They have 1/2 off of appetizers which includes Chicken Nachos and Mussels & Shrimp. They also decent deals on import drafts and well drinks. I actually was shocked at their on tap selection as I could have any of my top three choices ( Killians, Lienenkugels, Great Lakes) as well as some other nice options. The beer was cold and frothy which was refreshing on a hot day. I wouldn't go nuts over their Chicken Nachos but I was hungry enough for them. I probably would choose an entree next time even if it is not half off. The mussels and shrimp were pretty good and for $6 not a bad deal. Their menu is standard bar food. The place was a good place to have a nice conversation with a friend I hadn't seen in a year. The service was friendly but not a nuisance. Parking was not a problem as I found a number of empty spots right in front. Nice location to walk off a buzz or go grab coffee nearby.

One of my favorite restaurants, and definitely one of the best happy hour deals in Columbus with half-priced appetizers and very reasonably priced beverages ($1.75 Miller Light draughts, and half-priced well drinks). The Fish and Chips is my personal favorite. The boneless wings on the appetizer menu are also very good, and a great bargain during happy hour. There are several Old Bag of Nails in the Columbus area; I actually prefer the one in Westerville to the one in Worthington because it's a little bigger, and the decor is a little nicer than the Worthington location.

I was in Columbus on business and stayed at the Crowne Plaza Columbus North. The Old Bag of Nails was so good I actually made coworkers join me for lunch here two days in a row! Downtown Worthington is so quaint it's surreal. T.O.B.N.P.'s specials are unbelievable too...I don't know how they make a profit (Soup and Sandwich - $5). I didn't partake in the Happy Hour (2pm - 7pm), but you can't beat 50% off food & $1.75 drinks! I might actually go back to Columbus just for The Old Bag of Nails Pub. I'll call it my "get back to my midwest values" vacation. :o)

In 1996, The Old Bag of Nails Pub opened its flagship location in charming Olde Worthington. Its name derived from the former hardware store it replaced. Having lived in England/Scotland and frequenting authentic British pubs, I can attest to the Bag's authentic atmosphere - at least in this location (while most of the other 9 locations have more of a pubby family restaurant feel to them). Well done with its paneled walls and fun beer signs. It's dark and cozy and the narrow bar can become quite crowded on weekends. There's only a handful of tables, so expect a bit of a wait during busy times. All of the Bag of Nails locations offer a fabulous selection of scotch and unusual beers on draught, but most people come for the kick-butt fish-n-chips. The bag features happy hour Monday through Friday, with half-priced appetizers and deeply discounted drinks. It also has a limited late night menu of munchies, served from 9 or 10 PM until close. The service here is usually really good and somewhat quick since the place is so small. A small outdoor patio sits along High Street and is open seasonally. You'll find a mixed clientele. Old and young, People will drive from other neighborhoods for its atmosphere, while local Worthington-ites treat this as their neighborhood bar. You should definitely come to the Worthington Bag of Nails Pub with high expectations.

This is definitely the flag ship of this local chain and worth visiting if you don't live in the dublin/worthington hood. I was lured here for the 1/2 price off EVERYTHING happy hour. My friend and I shared mozzarella sticks and pretzels which were your average bar fair, but of course they go over better when you are only paying half price. I complimented the cheese fest with a half and half which was served to me by an efficient yet surly bartender. This place really gets jumping during happy hour and even later into the evening on Friday's. So arrive early and I don't recommend sitting at the bar. I suffered a bow to the back of the head several times since people were standing around behind me and I found myself coveting the booths.

As far as pub food goes The Old Bag of Nails is fantastic. The staff is friendly and tries their best to seat you fast. The menu is great. Their fish and chips are delicious. My husband favors the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. I love the French Dip and the Turkey Reuben. Whatever you decide will be a good choice. We're lucky there isn't one in our neighborhood-we'd be huge! While I wouldn't recommend bringing kids here they did have a high chair for Rease and sat us where she wouldn't be in a high traffic area.

So I ordered the Turkey Reuben because I didn't want anything greasy. Turkey on rye w/ cheese & coleslaw, right? Well, they served it GRILLED! The menu said NOTHING about grilled! Man, that thing was the ultimate in greasy but without the enjoyment & taste of good fried food. And you needed a microscope to find the slaw. And was that really swiss cheese? Didn't taste like it. Disappointing. Next time I go there, I'll stick to the fried fish which is the best in town.

I've been going to this place since they opened up in 1996 (I think! It was a long time ago!). The decorations are just want you want from a pub: a lot of beer cans on the wall, a few TVs on the walls, fitting pictures all over. It's not a large place, so don't bring you and 20 friends. A group of four is probably the maximum number of friends you want to bring. First, happy hour is until 7, even on Fridays. Get your Irish on with some Guinness or a few bucks off another draft. Get the fish and chips. You will love it. Or get a Gaylord burger, the single restaurant item I have probably ordered more than anything in my life. It's a solid burger, and you get a lot of fries with it. I don't think I have ordered anything else other than those two dishes in the entire time I've been there. For a place to stay open for this long, especially in a place like Worthington where there is a new shop every month, is very impressive and I don't doubt it's because of their dedication to consistency. I have such great nostalgic feelings when coming back to this place almost two decades later and I love that The Old Bag of Nails still stands. The place hasn't seemingly changed in years, and that is a very good thing.

Great pub food and the best fish and chips in the city. Their beer selection is also pretty good here so check that out! But when you come here just get the fish and chips ( or any of the other fries seafood). Their batter is on point and not too oily with the right amount of vinegar. The fries are great too. Also be sure to look out for their specials cause some days they have all you can eat in certain menu items. And trust me, you'll be wanting more. This location is great too, right in the heart of worthington with lots of cool shops around. They have parking in the rear I believe, but there's also plenty of street parking in the area if you can't find a spot.

We've giving this place a shot twice now. First time was about 6 weeks ago. Rode our bikes here and had a late lunch on the sidewalk area at about 2:00 p.m. on a Saturday. Servers were polite, but food was ridiculously slow (took almost an hour for a couple of sandwiches). I didn't post a review at that time after learning that they had just hired a new cook, and this was his first day. (Give the guy a break, right?) (Food was also a 2 star. Poor.) We rode our bikes here again today. Same exact experience. My husband and I split a tuna melt. Prompt, polite wait staff checked on us often, filling water glasses and even giving our dog a bowl of water. After about 40 minutes, another employee (manager maybe?) came over to apologize for the wait and offered us complimentary salad/soup while we waited. (Excuse was that the cook hadn't made up the tuna salad prior to lunch. It was 12:00 sharp. ) The sandwich arrived and it was poor. Barely any tuna 'salad' on the bread .. . thin slice of cheddar and that was it. No lettuce. No tomato. Very dry and boring. Another family was dining outdoors while we were there and their food was taking equally as long to arrive, and the servers were apologizing profusely to them as well. I overheard the excuse to them was that there was a new cook in the kitchen. Their food arrived as we were leaving, and the newest disappointment sounded like the order was wrong (after such a long wait). It appears that this location has a hard time keeping cooks. We live in Grandview Heights and LOVE the Old Bag of Nails Pub there.

Come here for the fish and chips! The fish was nice and flaky and I loved that it was lightly battered, but still super crispy! We also tried the special lobster roll. I love lobster, but this was actually my first lobster roll. It was lightly drizzled with mayo and came in a bun that I think was a little too thick. I tore off a big chunk on both ends because I didn't want to just eat the bread. The lobster itself was good though. I ordered corn as a side and it came as 3 small pieces of corn on the cob. It was drenched in butter and I could only manage to eat one piece. But I'm sure some people would love all that butter... like my husband who ate the other two pieces! We also had the sauerkraut balls, which were good, but came out a little cold- warm would've been better! There wasn't a super strong sauerkraut taste, which I liked. Overall, a good experience here! It's smaller than some of the other old bag of nails I've been to, but it's cozy :)

Went for lunch, ordered Fish & chips and lobster roll with corn. Excellent food but pricy, try to use the online coupon. Our server, Daniel, provided very good service, thanks!

This one is smaller than the Westerville location which is closer to me but has better food in my honest opinion. I ordered the Fishermen's Platter. You get 2 pieces of fish, fried shrimp, scallops & fries. I was starving when I came in here and it really hit the spot! Best deep fried batter in Columbus. My friend ordered the tomato basil soup & she said it was the best she ever had better than Cap City Dinner. I asked to try and and it was damn good & I don't even like tomato basil soup. If you haven't tried the deep fried Snickers you should!

Busy Saturday night led to incorrect order, a not so good steak and really poor service. Waitress never came back to our table to ask if we needed another drink, if our meal was ok, etc. All of this reflected in the tip. Will take a long break from this local pub.

This is my favorite bar in the city. It's small, cozy, the staff is really friendly and the food is killer. Talk about delicious burgers? I'd go to the Bag of Nails over FlipSide, Bar145 or any specialty burger joint. Pair it with cold beer (they rotate seasonal beers frequently!) and get ready to have a good night. I've heard there is another location, but the charm of this tiny Old Worthington pub is what makes it feel special.

Always a good spot for Fish & Chips.

This place stinks, literally! The smell of the pub is disgusting. My extensive restaurant experience tells me that it is because they do not clean their dining room carpet. If they care so little about cleaning the carpet imagine how little they feel about cleaning the kitchen? Also they need to teach their bartenders how to properly pour a pint of Guinness.

Very disappointing. Hoped to have a turkey Ruben but they no longer serve one so I opted for the tomato basil soup and the pub salad. The soup was ok as were the sauerkraut balls but the pub salad advertised as "fresh greens" on the menu was nothing more than bagged ice berg lettuce. The potato cakes my husband had also appeared to be processed. It was ok but if you're looking for freshly made food go elsewhere.

Cool atmosphere. Had the how you want chicken sandwich. Chicken was really tender and juciy. Had a few craft beers there as well and the selection seemed to be very nice. All in all would recommend and return.

This Worthington classic has gone down hill. Every once on a while, we come back only to be disappointed again. There's so much potential here, maybe muddled in former glory. Once the nostalgia and buzz of the draft beers clears away, you are left with a pub in desperate need of TLC. Our server couldn't have been nicer, but things were so SLOW. Our meals took more than a half hour to arrive, my soup wasn't hot. There's just a sticky sloppiness to the place, instead of the snappy clockwork that usually makes a tiny place like this tick. I'll come back eventually, but geez, things need to improve.

There are so many reasons to love this pub. It's quaint; the food is superb; the atmosphere is laid back; the staff is always attentive without being overbearing; the drink menu is pretty stellar (Founded's KBS on tap!); et al. Parking can be a bit rough, but let's be honest: If you're eating at Old Bag, you could probably use the exercise. Always an 'A' pub, in my book.

Love the Old Bag of Nails for a good sandwich or burger. This restaurant has a great cozy and friendly small town vibe about it. I usually stop by for a late lunch/early dinner or happy hour. I usually sit at the bar with all the other townies and chat with the bartender. Love the Black Bean Dip and I put their ranch dressing on literally everything I order!

Best. Fish. In. Columbus. If you are a fan of fish and chips then this is the place to try. We live in Worthington and have been here several times. The Reuben, tomato soup, and mussles are all delicious as well! Missing one star because this place is on the small side (longer wait) and because they do not have a great draft beer selection ( maybe 8??).

I did come back and this time I ordered FISH. Which is what I should have gotten last time! I got the "all you can eat" fish and it was great! They served me two very large pieces of the the best fish in town, an order of cole slaw, and an order of steak fries. I gotta tell you that by the time I ate all that I couldn't eat another bite! Whether it was free or not.

Cute, cozy, quaint... in other words, small. I will forgive you, mister waiter, for not knowing what I wanted when I asked for "a pint" on account that you provided otherwise excellent service. A bit cramped, a bit loud, and full of charm. I love the food here; always have, always will. It is what you would see in a dictionary when you look up "pub food" if your dictionary happened to have pictures. Want to get fat and sloppy? Order the endless fish and chips. Feeling on the healthy side after your fourth trip to the gym today? Grab a tasty salad. I find that Old Bag has something for everyone. The drink selection at this Old Bag is pretty good. It is not the World of Beer, but you should be able to find something good. Settle down with a pint of Guinness, snack on some fried pickles, and feel good.
