DQ cakes have been my all-time favorite since I was a kid. But I got an ice cream cake from this location tonight and it was probably the worst DQ cake I've ever had. The best part of the cake is the crunchy fudge layer in the middle and this cake was practically missing all of it. Not to mention it was about 80% vanilla ice cream and only 20% chocolate. Very poorly constructed and very disappointed customer.

No matter the season or destination, I will find a DQ. The ice cream is always good but service can vary greatly. This location had proven to have very kind and capable servers. Contrary to recent experiences at others, my blizzard actually could be turned upside-down. Imagine that!

The only down fall to this place is the people working there. They are very rude and look like they hate every minute they have to be in the building. The upside is it is right by old Worthington and has outdoor seating. Again the customer service sucks. I get that this probably isn't a dream job, but would it kill you to be somewhat friendly?

I've now been to 3 DQ's in Columbus (no shame) and this is the best so far. The first one, on Bethel, has the slowest, most terrible service I've ever received. The second, on Indianola, had a bunch of kids working and talking to their friends instead of waiting on customers. This one was a cut above the rest! We ordered 2 blizzards and 2 meals. Everything was good! The only downside I can really think of is that there is no indoor seating and the inside itself is really cramped. There were a bunch of children sitting on the bench near where we'd get our food and the line was leading up to it, so we felt a little sardine-esque. But the service was really friendly and fast, which made up for it. As long as you're planning on eating elsewhere, this DQ will meet all of our needs!

I can't complain about the ice cream, but this location is filthy. This does not bode well for the overall food quality anywhere in the kitchen. Everywhere you look and on every surface - floor, glass, counters, display cases, freezers - is evidence that no one here really cares about cleanliness. For many people, DQ is probably their first job. Why not teach your employees good habits early? Why not take pride in your work and your business? This location is so small there is no excuse for it. If you have time to chat and be on your phone, you can use a mop and rag to make this place shine! I will not be back and I recommend you choose carefully when dining here. What a shame...

You know it's Spring when I start I crave soft serve ice cream (even though I eat it all year long..who's gonna judge right?!) But serisouly, this Dairy Queen is the best in town so far; who know what I'll find during one of my ice cream raids! They mix the blizzards perfectly with just enough ice cream so that the cookie/candy pieces are well blended; most tend to over fill Blizzards with ice cream and the cookie/candy pieces are more of an after thought. So bravo DQ on high street..well done. I will admit to never trying any hot food at a DQ, Ive always arrived foaming out the mouth for soft serve that I forget they have other things there besides van soft-serve w/ choc sprinkles. (yes i said sprinkles. jimmies are colorful, sprinkles are brown. maybe its a jersey thing after all, but Ive never heard 'jimmies' until i moved out of the state. oh well.) Not to mention my fav birthday cake as a child was from here. I loved cookie-puss! So many cookie pieces! It always make my birthday that much more special. So DQ, keep making my fav soft serve and I will still be showing up. Matter of fact..Im driving over now. Adict..perhaps. Very good ice cream, yes!

My favorite DQ location when I'm in the mood to eat cool treats. The store is old and tiny, but has outdoor seating perfect for hanging out in the sun and watching the world go by. Pros: located on High near downtown Worthington, the store really feels like a part of the community. Courteous staff. Standard DQ dining experience. Plenty of parking in lot. Cons: no indoor seating aside from a bench on either side of the cake cooler.

Mmmmm, I know it's generic. I know you can buy it anywhere. I know that it has killed many mom and pop shops. But sometimes there is a reason that a place does so well. On that rare, super hot summer day when I am not looking for the gourmet and expensive (read Jeni's) few places can please the palate like Dairy Queen. This one is located in downtown Worthington and is a great stop on a nice walk down High Street or on the way to the fantastic Worthington Library.
