Sparky's is still to this day my favorite Pizza place and Ive eaten pizza in Japan, Hawaii, Florida, Chicago, and DC just to name a few.... While Chicago's deepdish was really good it was pretty different. This is a a thin pizza that is cut into squares and they have everything from Pepperoni and Cheese pizzas to BLT Pizza, Taco Pizza, and even (my favorite) the wing it pizza! Its grilled chicken, then this buffalo sauce which is a mix of Ranch dressing and what I believe is Franks Hot Sauce. then mozzerella cheese. They also sell breadsticks, subs, and french breads. They no longer sell breakfast items, as Schulers (who supplied the donuts) got their own store just down the street on the same block. The pizza can be a little greasy but it doesnt deter me from eating here. Easily my favorite pizza!

I have been to Sparky's on three different occasions because I believe in giving a restaurant a fair shake after several visits. I must say that the first two experiences were so-so. 1st visit I had the BBQ chicken, and the flavor was just OK. 2nd visit was sausage/pep (again, JUST ok). Delivery time & service on both visits was fair. The third time was the visit that inspired me to write this. My wife & I decided to come here on a Saturday evening. There were only 3 people waiting in front of us, so we liked our odds. We ordered the meatball marinara sub (never tried, but our mouths were watering in anticipation). Well, 15 minutes later, we were still waiting on what should have been a simple order. A customer who came in and placed an order after we did picked his large pizza up and left, while we were still waiting. My wife said "let's just go", to which I replied "No no, let's wait. It's GOTTA be awesome if it takes this long to wait." After 35 minutes, our order arrived. It was a 6" hotdog bun with 3 small microwavable meatballs & cheap spaghetti sauce. Actually, I've had better sauce from Aldi's (Kudo's to Aldi's!). Even though it was only about $8, I certainly expected more. My wait time was worth more than that. I can confidently say that the only way I'd come back here is if a very good friend treated us out, and ONLY if they insist on Sparky's. You know, so we wouldn't hurt their feelings by suggesting Cassano's. Maybe I'll try the salad in that case.

This is a childhood favorite for me. They have great pizza and subs. The best pizza is the taco pizza. The pizza sub is also delicious. They do have an option to dine in, but we usually get it to go. On Fridays and Saturdays the call ahead wait time can be long so plan accordingly. It is a bit on the pricey side for not being artisan or organic or trendy pizza, but it has never stopped us from eating there every time we are in town.

Tonight we had a Taco pizza from Sparky's Pizza in Urbana. The order taker told me Sparky's made the best Taco pizza in town. We called at 5:55pm and he said it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. We live 3 blocks from Sparky's and we arrived to pick up the pizza at 6:15. The pizza was $19.99, we were home by 6:22. The pizza was barley warm, the abundance of lettuce hid the lack of ingredients, and the crust was not fully cooked. Mark Sparky's off your list. Maybe Jac & Do's next time.

I've been coming here since I was a kid, back when it was Michael's Pizza. My favorite pizza spot whenever I'm in town. The taco pizza & BLT pizza are really good.

Pretty decent place. We got the veggie pizza and an Italian sub. Sub was good, pizza was good too. Price is about average, but it's always good to support local businesses.

People just love this place, and I don't know why. The pizza is "okay" - but as far as pepperoni pizza, it's lackluster. It's not greasy, but it's just not something-unlike my other friends in Urbana-I ever crave. To my understanding, the overall style/menu is similar to Cardinals, and their specialty pizzas are where they really differentiate themselves. BLT? Taco? I could chow on an entire pie myself.

I eat here every Friday for lunch. It's "West Central Ohio" pizza from what everyone tells me. It's a little greasy, with crunchy pepperoni. Also, it's cut into squares not triangles. They also sell pies, cheesecakes and donuts. Schuler's Donuts that is or AKA Awesome donuts! Give it a try, it's the only non-chain pizza in town!
