Everything you want in a small diner, great food, fast service, low prices. The worst thing about Sam and Charlie's is deciding between breakfast and lunch. The waffles are amazing, I love the brownie waffle (yes, brownie. waffle.) for breakfast and for lunch I go with the superking burger. You can't go wrong with a visit to Sam and Charlie's.

Came here in a group of 4 for breakfast. The experience is that of a typical diner. The restaurant's entrées being no better than middling. Had a scrambled egg and toast with a side of waffle. The venue was clean and our waitress was friendly. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy but the food took longer than expected to come out. Seems like a solid local hang-out. The prices are a bargain which makes for cheap eats.

I've been coming here for years. My family and I enjoy the food, atmosphere, and prices every time.

My boyfriend and I come here a few times a week. The food is always good. We have a hard time choosing between breakfast or lunch, because it's all so good. Sometimes I have a hard time deciding what to get, so I order a few menu items. In the winter time, they have some of the best soup! The staff is super friendly & sometimes the owners even come out & shit with us to see how everything was. The menu is extensive, but there's something for everyone!

Kitchy, old school waffle house with a menu the size of the phone book. Don't expect much on decor, menu design, or gourmet fixings and you'll be satisfied. Nothing has been updated since the place opened in the early 70's. The original malt waffles were simply wonderful. Coffee, eggs and sausage were ordinary, but they fit the type of restaurant it is. (Note: keep on your 1970's lenses.) Prices were low. The very efficient, nice gal serving us was running the entire front of the house--tables, register, bussing, greeting, etc. She was delightful.

My husband and I had been wanting to find a go to diner for weekend breakfast and we are so happy to have stumbled upon Sam & Charlie's. Menu is vast and customizable. Waffles are delicious and they have so many options of syrups. Omelets are also delicious. Server was prompt and food was also prompt on a Saturday morning. Decor gives this place lots of character. Prices are extremely reasonable. Highly highly recommend! So happy to have found this place. #EatLocal

Step back in time and wolf down a delicious waffle. My boyfriend and I have been craving a waffle and didn't want to go to a chain. We stopped in and were immediately greeted and seated. Like everyone else has relayed, this place is a throw back, expect it to be dated but clean and to me, it is a benefit to find a place of character. The coffee is fresh and above average. We split a special breakfast - a classic malted waffle, 2 over easy eggs & 2 slices of bacon. Every item was cooked to perfection. The butter was whipped and syrup had a film as it had been heated up before serving. The waitress brought an extra plate without asking which is always nice. We will definitely be back though next time, I might need to get my own waffle with bacon cooked in and with blueberries.

If you want a waffle then you have come to the right place. It is done in minutes and are the most savory, fluffy waffles that I have ever tasted. There is no leggo my eggo in this breakfast joint.

Wonderful waffles with a great assortment of flavored syrups. We frequent this establishment monthly and are never disappointed.

My husband and I came in for breakfast this morning. The food was very average. Although the prices are low, doesn't mean the food should be bad. How do you mess up an egg. My food was cold and the breakfast meat was no doubt microwave fresh. The waitress tended to only people she knew by name. The only thing that was delicious was the waffle we shared. I understand this is a waffle house But the rest of your food can't be sub par. Overall I could of made a better breakfast at home.

The waitress was nice. The food was just ok. I ordered the skillet and paid extra for " chicken" I don't know what came out but as far as chicken I say no.

So I went here in a pinch looking for a place I have not been to yet. Walking it was a clean place and not super crowded, and you do seat yourself. The food is fair, comes hot and most looks like its not premade. Which is surprising considering the menu is so huge, it takes forever to look over it. It really is crazy big. But its prices are good, service is good. I would go back again lunch or breakfast.

This place is really great for a couple reasons. One, the portions are perfect. Not too much, but not a barren plate. Two, they give you a free meal on your birthday. Three, the building itself and the general vibe inside are spectacular. The downside to this place can be summed up in two words: RIDICULOUS MENU! This menu looks like a waffle and syrup induced acid trip. It appears to have been made with a barrage of 20 year old windows clip-art, and it is so confusing it took me about 15 minutes just to decide what to get. Gordon Ramsay would have a field day with this one, being that he is really into simplicity when it comes to choices on a menu. Aside from that, which I know has nothing to do with the quality of food, the place is great.
