I was coming back from Detroit, and was craving some Chinese food like no other, so I decided to try this place out. I called right at 11 when they opened (yes, I was desperate) and ordered the General Tso's lunch special with a large side of the egg drop soup. The girl who took my order and who I talked to when I went to pick it up was very polite and friendly, exactly what customer service should be. Since it was a lunch special, it was cheap (although not as cheap as some other places) so I have no complaints about the price. With the lunch special, I got a good sized serving of chicken, an ok serving of rice (wishing there was a little more), and an egg roll. My soup was pretty big, which I was happy about. I tried the egg drop soup first. It was only okay, not bad or anything but I've definitely had better at some other places. Next, I tried the egg roll, which was great! Definitely the best egg roll I've had in Toledo so far, and I'm not even a huge fan of egg rolls. The rice that I got was ham fried (standard for the lunch combo), and it was really good as well. The chicken, however, was much better than most places. I loved it, the sauce wasn't too sugary or generic, and it had a nice kick to as well. Plus, the chicken was fried perfectly, which makes it that much better. Next time I go back (and yes, I plan to go back soon), I want to try something off the authentic Chinese menu, which I've heard is really good, especially for Toledo.

I am from Wisconsin and I am visiting a friend in Ann Arbor Michigan. We heard this restaurant has authentic Chinese food so here we are. The food was very good. We ordered Chinese vegetable, sweet and sour pork chop, boiled spicy fish, dried potato chicken etc. The food is very good and delicious in good price. The staff is very friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant. Will definitely come back next time.

Authentic Chinese! This place gets it! Great customer service and most importantly the food is great! We typically order their Hot and Sour soup which is the best I have tasted domestically that I can remember! IT is served warm and does kick a punch in relation to spice. If you are not one for spicy flavor this isn't a good soup for you but if you are IT IS A WINNER! I typically get either the General Tso's chicken or the Lemon Chicken which have both been winner's! Compared to other Chinese they do not serve these dishes bathing in sauce. There is ample sauce but not so much that it is drowning in it. If you are looking for an authentic Chinese restaurant in Toledo and one where the customer service and prices are right, I definitely recommend BM Chen's!

This was the first time we've eaten here. The food was amazing. The general tso has a nice sweet flavor and the egg rolls had the perfect light breading. The rest of our party really enjoyed their food as well. Definitely coming back!!!

Aah-mazing! This is some of the best Chinese cuisine I've had outside the mainland. The menu is gigantic, with an American-friendly section as well as a more authentic array of dishes. Everything is family style, so bring friends.

Good Chinese food. Better than other places in Toledo I have had Chinese from. Food is a little more than their competitors but taste better and portions are very generous, enough leftovers for a second meal. I have only done take out, but dining rooms looked clean and was redone nicely from the old LJS that use to be there. They had no alcohol when I was there, but they just opened and not sure if they are in the process of applying for an alcohol license or if they are going to be alcohol free. Staff is friendly and I will return.
