Unfortunately we had terrible service for the second time in a row. Our server delivered our meals and never returned to check on us for the rest of the evening. Another server delivered our check to us after waiting over 30 minutes for our server to return to our table. We also received the wrong meal and it was never corrected due to our server never checking on us. The food was good, but I wouldn't return due to the poor service.

Worst take out I have ever had. Ordered dip and two entrees. No chips for the dip, the entrees were missing items and the dip tasted different then when eating in. I would not order takeout from here ever again and not going back in restaurant again.

Great neighborhood spot for lunch and dinner. Friendly people and fresh food that taste great. Overall 4-stars for food atmosphere and easy, access. Ask for hotter salsa from the kitchen if like.

Great place for some fast and reasonably priced Mexican food. Large patio is nice to have dinner on in the summers!

Came here last night for the Cinco de Mayo celebrations, tooks us a long time to get our first drinks (as expected for the busy holiday). After getting our first amazing margarita they kept them flowing. I was asked if I was driving (I had been dropped off), it was lovely to see that they care about their customers. I tried every flavor and just couldn't get enough. Had the steak fajitas and enjoyed it all! For as busy as the place was food and drinks were prompt and very tasty. We were absolutely treated like family. My only complaint was that there was one server/bartender with a very bad attitude. We noticed her attitude many times throughout the night. Dirty looks and talking trash about other customers to her coworkers within ear shot. Working in the industry, that is a major no-no. But thanks to the wonderful Kalle (owner) all was made up for. Thanks for a wonderful Cinco de Mayo celebration.

I'm constantly on the hunt for a good taco joint. I don't care if it's in a random alley somewhere or in the back of a secret society store...I just want a fantastic, authentic, taco. IS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK?! I didn't have any expectations really for this place, mostly because I haven't heard about it from people I ask. I was happy to see they had tacos al pastor! But was really disappointed when I did not care for it. The meat was dry, hot sauce overpowering and the same ratio of pineaepple chunks to pork? I don't think so, girlfriend. They make the guacamole in front of you customized to your liking which was great! I did enjoy that and the chips. I think I would return for the chips and guac and magaronas( (although I asked for my magarona frozen but it definitely wasn't frozen). I would have to think twice about an actual meal. Service was also pretty good--- she was very accommodating to my friends' requests. But I've definitely, definitely experienced better. Worth a shot, right? They do have salsa/bachata lessons Saturday nights! Makes a great place for people-watching. *magarona: 20oz margarita (flavor of your choice) + 7oz Corona

They're amazing and fast! I always get their chicken enchiladas and the sauce is to die for on it!!

Love Cinco! The food is great, the margaritas are strong (make sure you get them frozen!) and the staff is insanely friendly.

We just moved to the area and Cinco is our new staple. With a 10 month old we never eat out, but when we do we immediately want to go to Cinco! We love Mexican restaurants and try them everywhere we go. The food is always excellent!

This is the sorriest excuse for a Mexican joint in the city. The place is poorly managed by some guy named Fabio and did a terrible job to correct the issues I had with the food. The place is over priced and not as good as El Camino Real. Save your time and $ and go elsewhere. I will never go to this place EVER again.

I usually enjoy this place since it's close to our house except for tonight. The service was quick. We weren't asked which size margarita we wanted and received huge glasses. Who messes up a cheese quesadilla? The cheese wasn't melted or warm and I asked to send it back to be reheated. My dish came back and the sour cream was melted. He reheated it by warming my dish in the microwave. My husband had a seafood burrito which wasn't very good either. He rated it a 2/10. I would love to give it better rating except the food was so awful this time around. We won't be going back.

Bland, C- Mexican food. You know what I hate on my fajita beef? Untrimmed strips of fat on half the meat. It was disgusting.

I have to say, with low expectations, I was pleasantly surprised by this little Mexican food joint. For one, I had one "medium" margarita - that came in a giant fishbowl on a stem - and it got me completely drunk. Sure, it was $7, but when just one does the trick, it's well worth it to me. Also, most meals on the menu are $10, but the portions are huge! And while not authentically delicious like San Marcos, the food was good. Only a madman (or madwoman) would try to house a whole meal here. Your best best, eat half that $10 meal and take the rest home for lunch the next day. A night out drinking (one drink), and two meals for $10. Not a bad deal. I recommend looking at #36, The Ohio Special: A chicken burrito, a chicken chimichanga, a pork tamale, and a chili rellano. $9.99

I have a new favorite Mexican restaurant in NW Ohio! We finally tried this place and I was blown away by how good it it. Chimichanga is my normal thing at a Mexican place, and theirs is the best I ever had. The chicken has a sauce to it inside, which I hadn't encountered before, and it is excellent, plus the normal sauce on the outside (which is a different kind of sauce), is also excellent. The second time there I ordered something different and it likewise was very good. The service was bad the first time, but good the second. But even if always bad it would be worth it for how good the food is. Like Victor says here, do not get this place mixed up with the Cinco do Mayo on Airport Highway. That place is terrible. This one is great!

This is the best Mexican restaurant in Toledo (not to be confused with the Cinco De Mayo on Airport Hwy., which is the complete opposite)! The pork was the best I have ever had, and the service was friendly and efficient. The chips and salsa were so good, I wish I could have waited longer for my food so I could just keep enjoying them!

My wife and I found Cinco De Mayo on Central Avenue as a pleasant surprise. The food (Taco Salad, and Steak and Nacho Brick Oven Pizza) was very good. The service was just right (not too much, and not too little). The margaritas were potent! I would have given the restaurant five stars except for the price of the taco salad; at $10, it was about two dollars overpriced. Other then that, we liked the restaurant and will return.

Wife and I went there for first time. We were after a snack - complete meal was what we received. Was very good. We will go again.

Margaritas were obviously mix and not good mix. Every single person who works there stopped at out table to ask if everything was ok it got to be a joke as to how many bites we were able to take before being interrupted. Asked for medium guacamole heat extremely hot..

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
