About TGI Friday
TGI Friday is a casual dining American restaurant chain founded in 1965. The term “TGI” is an acronym for Thank God It's and together the name of the restaurant is often announced as Thank God It's Friday. Over the years of its existence, the TV commercials and other advertisement streams have also twisted the phrase a bit and used it as Thank Goodness It's Friday. The restaurant serves alcoholic beverages primarily. However, they are also known for their low-carbohydrate and low-fat menu items to promote a healthy lifestyle. TGI Friday also offers gluten-free items on its menu for those with gluten intolerance.
Besides the cool name, TGI Friday also has an interesting background story of its origin. The founder of the restaurant Alan Stillman lived in a New York-based neighbourhood full of a young crowd, especially girls from the airline and fashion industry. He started the first TGI Friday restaurant in New York in the hope of meeting single women as there weren't any such public place for young men and women to meet. He invested $5000 on his own and borrowed another $5000 from his mother to buy a bar named The Good Tavern and renamed the premise to Thank God It's Friday, inspired from an expression during his time at Bucknell University.

I've eaten here a couple times prior and the food was up to par. I generally like Frickers wings. But due to the last visit I won't be returning anytime soon. Our beers were brought to the table in HOT (not warm) glasses straight from the dishwasher. They weren't even busy, therefore, there was absolutely no excuse as to why this happened. Not that there would ever be an excuse. But our young, inexperienced and naive waitress had one. She said they'd "be cold in a minute from the beer." No comp and no offer to get new glasses even when I called her out on it. And no tip... Take home wings that evening were also substandard for Frickers. This particular restaurant has been plagued with problems from the get go. Not long after opening it was forced to replace staff and have a grand re~ opening due to lack of management, morals and continued violence.

Ok so when this place first opened after a few visits i decied to avoid this place the food sucked and i was very un pleased with the service...figured id try it again lately...same thing ...crap food...lousy service....and my girl got food poising from undercooked pork....and another female got sick as well from under cooked chicken ...really....i had to basically beg to get another beer as well...all in all bad idea all around i will never return to this place...please boycott this place....its not worth your time or your money...

They get a star for being open on Christmas Day, I'm horrible, I know. So I probably can't give the best review as I went on an off time, but for this go around... Overall the interior was large and held a good amount of people, kind of lacking in other Sidney area dining places. If you like sports and visuals they have about 13 tvs all going on different sport games...sensory overload for me when trying to concentrate on a conversation...but then again I'm easily distracted. A good amount of domestics on tap, the basics, nothing fancy here. I did not order any food but menu offered the typical bar chain offerings. Prices were fair, especially on drinks. Service was a little spotty but it was like a big party in there, so again will have to check back.

Not a happy wine drinker. I won't be ordering wine anymore. Order my wine like normal and didn't get the whole bottle. (The bottle is a single serve Woodbridge or Barefoot). They poor you a glass and then take the rest back to use for another glass that they might sell. Mind you this is coming from the management. They think they can combine a few oz. from each bottle to make another glass. Well not on my dime.

Great sports bar, fun atmosphere and drink prices are good. No it's not somewhere you take the kids. Food is ok. I had ribs, very tasty. My wife had wings they were kind of bland but very large. Just a great place to watch football.

Maybe I've become spoiled and a craft beer snob but this was kind of a bummer. I'm fine with the selection offered for the area but the quality was sub par. My friend and I ordered Ranger IPA and both thought it tasted off. After a few sips we determined that it tasted musty and was undrinkable. Our beers were replaced without any hassle but what a sad waste of beer. Clean your tap lines! Overall, everything was fine but just very unimpressive. Sorry Sidney.

Somehow they named themselves kid friendly Aside from having a menu with half portioned food I don't see it. Noise level was decent extensiveish menu but the food overall wasn't spectacular. Pork tenderloin sandwich was alright and huge dwarfing the bun Coleslaw had too much sauce or water or something, tasty though Chicken quesadillas was mostly cheese and tortillas fried cod was overfried arnold palmer was mostly lemonade epitome of a sports bar

Ordered chicken chunks and my friend ordered a salad. Chicken was rubbery and not much flavor. Then my friend found a hair in her salad. When we told the waitress, the waitress said "oh, it's probably mine. Or maybe it's one of the cooks, they're pretty nasty." .... Is this how they were trained to handle that? I was absolutely appalled. Will never be back.

Eating with my husband and three daughters on a busy Friday night. We were able to get a table right away and our waitress took our drink orders almost immediately. Our only complaint was that the frickin chicken dip arrived cold and the nacho chips tasted old. Our waitress had the dip reheated and after that it was much better. Other than the waitress paying too much attention to patrons at the bar and not enough to her customers at times, our visit was satisfactory.

Went twice. Way to expensive for the money. Food mediocre. People go for the beer. I don't drink. Won't be back.

BBQ chicken wings nasty but it's a bar what did I expect.. The place is nice a lot of TV's.. Maybe the naked wings would have taste better the sauce was bland..

Sat in Frickers Sidney for over an hour and never got any food. Server tried to stall but several other customers had to take their food in a to go box because it took too long.

I wanted to like this place, but on two separate occasions it was overall, just awful. The wings were dry and flavorless. Later the waitress told me the mild wings are basically spun in butter only. The fried side items were either soggy or overdone. I tried the clam chowder, it was cold, spicy and really thick and pasty. I won't be back.
