If you're looking for that gourmet meal, this may not be the place to get it, but if you're looking for the friendly service and great homemade taste of food made from a loving kitchen in a small town restaurant, this is the place. You can get a feel for their style by looking at their menu. Anyway you want it, they'll make it for you with a smile on their face and a positive concern for your dining experience. The historical aspect just enriches the experience. Read about the building's story and transformation while enjoying hand dipped ice cream. I had mine over warm homemade apple pie that rivals my mom's (which is hard to admit).

Was staying in New Martinsville, WV for a family reunion, and never would have found this place but for the Yelp reviews. The restaurant is in a historical center of town, and the history of the building is very neat. The interior of the restaurant is decorated with old-timey artifacts. The food was pretty good. My BLT had probably an entire rasher of bacon on it. The oil on the fries was old, but we did come in at the end of the night. Wide selection on the menu, and they serve breakfast all day. Friendly service. All in all, a good find, and I'm sure we will be back in the future.

This is my go to place when I am in West Virginia. It is absolutely charming and the staff is super friendly and genuinely nice. The Marv burger is delicious and the desserts ate home baked every day!

Although the atmosphere is a little outdated and their prices are relatively high, their portions are hearty and their food is fresh. Their fried chicken was good, but the breading lacked flavoring. Their mashed potatoes were good, but could use a little more salt. Other than that, our food was well prepared, we received plenty, and our service was exceptional. I will definitely consider returning.
