Solid Asian Cuisine! The crab rangoons are "homemade"(as in,they look homemade, I think they are...) delicious, best I've ever had! General Tsos was good--real white meat chunks of breaded chicken--not too heavily beaded. General Tsos sauce was good, slightly different than I'm used to,but good. I will defiantly have these items again. I've had their sushi before; it is also good--presentation is great! I also noticed they have a great happy hour on Wednesday and Thursday's that include "speciality rolls"; that almost never happens! I might be back tomorrow for happy hour! As in other posts, the servers were very good.

A new go-to place in Blacklick This is a newer restaurant in Blacklick, and what a find. It's very cute on the inside; bamboo flooring, Asian tapestries on the walls, and colorful lighting. We ordered Shrimp Tempura Roll, Kung Pao Double Delight, Crispy Red Snapper, String Bean in Garlic Sauce with Chicken, and Samba Delight; everyone was very happy with their meals, however, we would have liked for the Kung Pao, String Beans, and Samba to be spicier; we will order it that way next time. The service was good. We will definitely make another trip, and explore the menu further. I am excited to try the Tom Yum Soup, and more sushi.

Probably the best place to eat sushi in Columbus. My family and I go there about 10 times a month (NO exaggeration). Everyone there is always nice. The entrees are decent size. I'm actually a bit surprised at the negative reviews. I just really cant complain.

My 1st Yelp posting, because this is the 1st place I'm truly excited about. So far, it's love at first bite! After moving from the East Coast to the Reynoldsburg area, to my dismay, way too many chains & pizza places. Only had the sushi here. It was excellent & reasonably priced. More later on entrees!

Went there tonight. Had the tom yam soup, pad thai and thai curry. It was some of the best thai i've had in ohio. I'm from connecticut originally. I'm eager to try their sushi. I will for sure be back! Loved it! Great atmosphere and welcoming staff!

Ughh! What a dissapointment! Place is nicely set up, its new and things are clean...but the food is pretty horrible for many reasons. 1. we looked at the menu and prices seemed a little high (12-16 $) as compared to other similar restaurants in Columbus area. We still wanted to give some of their most expensive stuff a try becasue we were there to celebrate a birthday. 2. the portions were ridiculously small. From appetizers to soup, everything was tiny. For example, thier vietnamese roll, said there'd be six pieces, well it was 2 or 3 cut into little sushi like size to make six! what a rip off, at least other places sell them by the piece and you know what to expect! it was filled with rice vermicelli, no basil, no mint, small piece of shrimp...I ordered a dumpling soup with watercress and it came with spinach floating on it instead - i know my foods...they didn't even bother to say- " we had to use spinach becasue we don't have watercress today" or something. I felt right away tha they are banking on the crowd in reynoldsburg to not know what they order as long as it is something asain.3. We ordered 2 dishes with shrimp, needless to say, came in huge plates but tiny portions. One bit of the shrimp and we could tell something was off, it tasted like the shrimp had been treated with clorine. was nasty. We spoke to the server about it, she started having a poopr attitude right away, very defensive. Went in with a sample to tlak to the chef and came back saying - this is how our shrimp tastes, we always get it from the same source! that's it. no apologies, nothing. I was so excited that Reynoldsburg finally might have decent asain palce to go to, but it lives up to the standards of other below par asain restaurants in the area. I am sticking to Panda express for my asain cravings - cheap, easy, no attitude and yeah, its always good. ( salty and oily but good!) Sakana has poor food quality, they couldn't even make a dish spicy for us, when we exclusively asked to make it spicy ( something wrong there) - i think their kitchen needs a food violation check. Might find shrimp soaking in chlorine water!

I have been here a few times since they opened though I wasn't impressed at first. The prices are a bit higher than you would expect for Asian food, especially for lunch. I gave it another try and the last time we really enjoyed our food. Portion sizes were larger than before and the taste was good. Appetizers were especially good. I would liken the menu to that of PF Chang's, though not up to that level. The decor inside is nice and the service was good. Not too many people there but I'm hoping the place catches on. $40 for lunch for two (two entrees and two apps) is still a bit expensive, but I'll go back on occasion.

Very cute on the inside, asked for everything extra spicy and it was more sweet than spicy. Food was ok, a little pricey.

Well presented, great service, and low on price. A great date place as well! You can feed 3 well at almost $20 a person.

Affordable, tasty food served in a spacious, comfortable environment. Well priced, especially lunch menu, and even though it is not the best in town, I have always enjoyed stopping in for a bite.

My husband loves this place- and I'm never sure if it is because we live really close or because the food is really that good. Together we have tried several items on the menu and we always order takeout. Ordering is fast and easy, and the food is made quickly. I particularly enjoy the Singapore Noodles. I wasn't a fan of the Chicken Broccoli- they use a lot of sauces on their dishes and I am not a sauce person. He enjoys the curry dishes they serve as well as the War Sue Gai. The food is consistent and made with fresh vegetables, which I appreciate.

I went to Sakana last week to check out the sushi, since it's pretty close to my work and had a pretty good meal. You can get a lunch special of two ($8) or three ($11) rolls with your choice of soup or salad, which I thought was a really great deal. I went with the hot and sour soup and really enjoyed it. The crunchy spicy tuna and salmon rolls were what I went with, and I think they could have cut back on the tempura batter I bit. I found myself scraping heaps of it off the top of the sushi, since I wasn't going to get any other flavor besides that with it on it. I also had an order of their homemade crab rangoon, which sounded and looked fantastic, but it failed to deliver for me. As you can see in the picture, it's wrapped a bit differently then what you usually see, and I was down with that, but then I realized the drawbacks. First off, there's just way too much filling in each piece, and it's mostly the cream cheese. I actually felt myself getting kind of sick the more I kept eating them. Also, because there's so much filling, and the wrap they fry them in are so thin, they get soggy REAL quick, and I no longer had any crunch by the time I got to the last two. I think I'll pass on these if I come again. The sushi was tasty, but the service was a bit slow, since most of the people there were in for sushi, and they only had one chef back there making it. The place wasn't even close to full, so I can only imagine if it was. One of the servers went behind the counter to help roll some of the sushi, so that was interesting. I'm not sure if I'll be back again, because Kissho is closer for me if I'm heading out that way. The sushi was around a 4, but everything else was closer to a 3 for me.

This place just opened, and I am very impressed with it!! They seemed very organized, the waitress had the menu memorized, and the wait for food was just right!! Not to mention, the food was fantastic: some of the best Asian food I have had!! I will definitely be going back!

Tasty sushi on East Broad that's 10 minutes from my house and very fairly priced. What else is there to say? Other than the comedy that their "Grand Opening" sign is still up after nearly a year and a half haha! Every time I've come here, the food has been very well made and presented. The lunch time special is an especially good steal with any 3 rolls plus miso soup for $11 (excluding specialty rolls). Food arrives promptly and the servers are quick to refill your drinks. You can also order ahead online either for dine in or carry out. I love being able to order ahead and then have my food ready for me when I get there! Parking is plentiful as is seating. The decor has gotten much better as they have been open longer. It's somewhat dark from the outside, since the curtains completely cover the windows, but inside it's nicely lit. The only other sushi place that's within ~10 minutes of me is Fugu, and I've documented their shortcomings in my review of their place. Sakana is very good food at a more than reasonable price, and they come highly recommended by me.

I had a friend drive me all the way out here from Westerville just so I could try this place out. I wasn't disappointed, that's for sure. It was amazing food, I was really surprised, amazing dinning experience.

Love the food & presentation!! Try the rainbow roll, any sashimi, or go for tempura lobster with the Broad street roll. The hot & sour soup is also top notch!! Always delish & becoming a frequent fave!! Did I mention they have delivery too!!

First impression: Clean and nice atmosphere, staff greeted nicely and friendly seemed like a good pick. Appetizers: Egg roll was decently priced and good taste, better than many I've had. Thai rollers were crisp outside with tender vegetables inside. Good value and tasty. Crab rangoons were fabulous. Wonderful flavor and good portion for each. Drink wise had a green tea, strong and bold flavor for green tea but not overwhelming and very good. Meal: Had the shezuan sauce and vegetables with chicken. Friends had string bean beef and other had Thai curry. Mine was solid very tasty with a low heat that built as eating. Tasted the Thai curry from friend's and it was great not often I have that good of curry with that much flavor at a place like this. The beef and bean was also good you could taste the garlic and mild spice. Very good. Service was good throughout and had a wonderful meal. Will return for more, glad I tried the place.

Just got Carryout from here for the first time. This place is delicious! Sakana has been recommended by a lot of people in the neighborhood (it's only 5 minutes from me!) and I can see why! The entrees are enough to share.. The crab ragoon is different and yummy! I ordered the cashew chicken and would have liked more cashew in the meal, but still very good! I especially like the zucchini added in it as well. I'd definitely recommend Sakana anyone who loves Chinese! They also offer a full bar and sushi, which I hear is also amazing. The atmosphere is very open and inviting. I can't wait to go back and perhaps dine in instead!

The wife and I hit up Sakana on one of those "I don't know what's for dinner, let's find a Groupon" nights. While Sakana has a nice interior, the layout and decor don't quite do enough to get you over that "I'm in a strip mall restaurant" feeling (hey, some of my favorite restaurants are in strip malls, so no biggie). We started with a deep-fried won-ton wrapped cheese app. Yes, it is as delicious and healthy as it sounds! You had me at deep-fried. For the main course, we ordered up a number of rolls and sushi. While they have a decent variety on the rolls, from a flavor profile it was hard to distinguish between our deep-fried lobster roll and the green (avocado and other stuff) shrimp termpura roll. Those specialty rolls had a very big circumference (yes, the old "can I really do that in one bite because I can't cut seaweed with chopsticks" dilemma). The Hamachi roll was just that - yellowtail, rice and seaweed wrapper. I always prefer some scallions or other flavor on those. The individual sushi pieces were decent sized and all very fresh. The service was nice and friendly. Overall, Sakana was OK, but nothing special.

I just went back for lunch and this place was still great. The lunch special was 3 rolls and soup for $11 so I was I to try new things. I ordered the spicy white tuna roll, regular spicy tuna roll and a shrimp and asparagus roll. All of them were good but the spicy white tuna was my favorite of the day. The hot and sour soup was also really good. Good service at lunch time and clean friendly atmosphere will definitely bring me back!

im shocked by the poor reviews!! hands down the nicest waitstaff on the east side of columbus... they barely allow your drink to be half empty before offering a refill. we were even offered refills by the other waitstaff Appetizer: we have only had the crab rangoon ( almost too pretty to eat)- but absolutely delicious! Dinner: SUSHI!!! wow! very fresh and tasty! over the past 2 visits we have had 6 different specialty rolls.. each better than the last :) this is now our go-to spot for sushi.. no more treks downtown for us!!

My husband and I have been to Sakana a few times now. The first visit was spectacular, and the next few were simply okay. The food is wonderful, I especially love the fried sweet potato rolls! They are the best I have had! The only thing that truly sets Sakana back is the service. The service is sub par, either you get a server who is very fast and helpful, or you get a person who is just taking your order. I am a vegetarian, so the ability to somewhat customize my meal is important. When at Sakana, I once asked if we could leave the meet out from an entree and was simply told, that is how it comes and they couldn't change it. Most places will allow a tofu substitution or remove the meat with no questions. It is very nice on the interior, and like most people are saying, it is very unexpected that it would be so nice. I am sure I would give it a few more tries, or even make sure I go when there is a good server.

My wife and I love this place. We have been regulars since they opened. Staff is friendly, atmosphere is relaxing yet romantic, and the food is priced right with great flavors. Don't know why some reviewed so harshly, must have been isolated for sure! I continue to recommend this place to friends and family alike.
