I have eaten at the other location, but this is nothing like it (In a bad way). I called ahead and the girl had no idea what I was talking about, so she transferred me to someone who could take my order for takeout. Although the service was crappy when I went to pick up my take-out order (What? Am I not a real customer??) the food is always the same average/good quality. They often offer Groupons, So I'm sure I will be back For takeout. Nothing great, nothing terrible. Poor customer service..

Joined friends for Ladies Night on November 15th for live music, wine tastings, door prizes, and great food! It was the first big event at Jason and Jessica Gillespie's new restaurant. They just aquired it from the previous owners. I got to sample 4 select new wines with an entree. I had the lasagna, which was light, cheesy and full of good flavors. The portion was just right, not too much or too little, It did not feel heavy in my stomach like some tend to do. Had a wonderful evening with friend Vicki Lynn and some of her friends. The wines were very good, one red wine called 4 Sisters was particularly strong and got me a bit silly. The food was excellent. Loved it. The owner and staff were so kind and attentive. I did flirt with the waiter, he reminded me of a guy I dated some years back, I asked could I have him for dessert. Ha, Ha. It was the wine speaking. Jason and Jessica Gillespie were great hosts seeing to every table. I had a wonderful night out with friends. Tasted some great wines, ate amazing food, and got some much needed goofy girl time in. I love it!

This place was just taken over by new management and it did not disappoint! Went there with a group of friends and we all enjoyed. The wait staff and wine were great. The owner/manager stopped over to speak to us and found out we were having a send off dinner for a friend who is moving. He sent FREE apps to our table. They were delicious; bruschetta and spinach and artichoke dip! Wedding soup was good too. I got the special; 3 crab cakes with a side of pasta and asparagus. So good but too much for one meal. I ended up with a to-go box:) What I liked best was the atmosphere. The place is just the right size not to small but not to big with a great bar with 2 large screen TVs. It was also family friendly with a kids menu and good prices! Can't wait to go back with the hubs!

If you are a pasta fan then this is your place. Finally went here after seeing cars parked outside for a long time. The food was just ok although hubs' pasta diablo was pretty tasty - right amount of added sausage and spice. My salmon picatta was cooked too much for my taste although the angel hair pasta was pretty good. I should've tried veal or chicken instead. Their calamari was lightly breaded and tasty but their chopped salad was totally lackluster. As I'm not a pasta fan I don't think I will be coming back but from the looks of the many people who came in that night (and appeared to be regulars) a lot do. Dinner for two with the calamari appetizer but nothing to drink but water came up to $45.00

I had been meaning to try this place out and finally did so on a whim on a Friday evening. What a great dining experience! The restaurant is located in a small strip mall along Powell Road. They have a festive looking outdoor patio for warmer weather, but I choose to dine inside the night I visited. I'm glad we did. I enjoyed the interior's ambience ... contemporary, white tablecloths, quite open. What really seemed to strike me though was the relaxed, casual and friendly atmosphere as the patrons all seemed to be enjoying themselves. Our server was equally pleasant and quite helpful with menu selection. It's not a large wine list and didn't have any wines that I recognized, but it really didn't need to be. I described what I typically like and she suggested their house favorite which was a Gray Cellar wine. Quite nice. I was hungry for a lasagna and my dining partner ordered their crab cakes. The lasagna was satisfying and a quite filling portion. It was just plain, simple, comfort food. My dining partner raved about their crab cakes, especially their distinctive sauce drizzled across the top. Their menu offers a variety of typical Italian dishes you would come to expect. After I left, I have to say what kept lingering through my mind was not an exceptional gourmet style dinner. Rather, it was about the relaxing environment, good simple food, attentive service and a comfortable place where everyone seemed to genuinely enjoy companionship.

I also used my Groupon like Paul F. did to come here for dinner with my husband. My husband really enjoyed his meal here. We had a really nice waitress as well and she saw that my husband didn't eat his ceasar salad and offered him something else but he said it's okay, I'll wait for my main entree. Let me tell you when his main entree arrived he was so happy because he had not had a well done steak since our honeymoon. As for my meal, I got the salmon with angel hair pasta. Mine was okay, not sure that the fish was too fresh since I feel I've eaten fresher fish elsewhere. My chopped salad was good and the pasta was decent. My husband was a little hesitant to come here because he read a yelp review that said they were under new management. Although that didn't affect his experience yesterday as you can tell. He tipped the waitress more than 20% and she was so happy she came up to her manager and showed him how happy she was. My husband felt good to make someones day since he understands how tough it is for a clerk or waitress to sometimes handle their job with pressure of customer who don't tip or give them standard courtesy.

One of our favorite spots after a long day! Service is exceptional. The bartender (can't think of his name) is very personable and attentive. The owner is typically there overseeing things and not above rolling up his sleeves and jumping in. The bruschetta is THE BEST we've ever had. Their happy hours specials are great but we would go anyways. Great neighborhood spot.

I have been here two times. I wanted to go a second time to confirm how much I dig this place. This is a very delightful Italian restaurant. I particularly recommend their Happy Hour from Monday - Friday from 4-6. Some appetizers are half price and they have great beers for low prices. When I was there they had Sierra Nevada and Great Lakes included in Happy Hour, which is a steal. Most places sell you a Bud Light for $4.00 and say "you're welcome." I have tried two different pasta dishes that did not disappoint. One in particular (I cannot remember the name) consisted of miniature ravioli-like pasta pouches stuffed with cheese and smothered in cream sauce. It was to die for. I hope this restaurant gets the notice it deserves. Everything from the prices to the atmosphere to the food quality is beyond satisfactory.

The scallops are always perfectly prepared and delicious. The blackened chicken pasta is great for the price (add sausage). Eggplant appetizer and stuffed pepper specials are great if they have them on special when you go. New ownership has made for a consistently good experience the last few times my family has gone.

Used a Groupon to come here for dinner this evening. I was fooled, #1 about how reasonable the prices were and #2 how many families they got. There were kids out the kazoo tonight. So anyway, I started off with bowl (??) of calimari. That's the way they serve them. They tasted okay but came out of the kitchen a little dark. I don't know if it was old grease or lack of checking. So then I ordered a bowl of the soup of the day, wedding soup.. It was very good. Had lots of spinach in it. Then I ordered my main course, fettucine a la bolognese (a heavy meat sauce). Besides the meat sauce, it came with two meatballs. Whew!! I was stuffed. I brought one of the meatballs home with me. Oh, almost forgot...the bread was delicious! I brought some of that home too. Anyway a great dinner and I had a great server. He was also doing double duty as the bartender.

We sat for 30 minutes without any service - I finally had to get a waitress to come to our table myself. No apology for the wait - I ordered the bacon & carmelized onion flatbread. While we were waiting for our order, the owner came over and explained the reason for the wait was because a disgruntled customer was complaining at the bar. When I finally got my flatbread, the bacon was undercooked and gummy, and the onions were TOTALLY RAW. Thats a big gap from carmelized. Not to mention this was the second chance we gave this place - the first was equally bad. No third chance; this place sucks.

I've been eating here since before it opened...seriously made it here on one of those training days. Anyway, this place is hit or miss. I've had the best service ever, and the worst service ever. However, if your service is bad just talk to the manager or owner who is typically there. One time the service was so bad that I didn't even have to ask, they comped our meal and the table next to us for free...how's that for taking care of the customer? Does no good to not tell them if they are doing something wrong while it's happening while you are there and to go home to whine about it on Yelp. SAY SOMETHING to a real person! I am positive they will take care of you and make it right. Anyway, my wife is a Celiac and my daughter is allergic to wheat, and Mia Cucina is one of the few places in Columbus that offers a gluten free menu where they also cook their gluten free pastas in separate pots and pans so as not to contaminate the food. Most places have gluten free menus which go like this: the chicken sandwich without the bun. Gee really? I knew that before. But not Mia Cucina, they actually have a gluten free menu with gluten free pasta and separate pots and pans to cook it in, way to go the extra mile! My favorite thing on the menu is the Mahi Mahi. The kids get gluten free mac and cheese while my wife usually goes for the gluten free pastas or spaghetti. They have a brunch on Sunday that's buffet style and pretty good. Wine selection is decent and they will take reservations for large groups or birthday parties. Locally owned and operated.

My husband and I visited Mia Cucina for the first time with a Faveroo coupon. The waiter was very nice and attentive. I really like the atmosphere there, too. We ordered drinks and the waiter brought out the warm loaf of bread and made the dipping plate of parmesan cheese, balsamic vinegar and oil. It was okay - not a whole lot of flavor. I like spices in my dipping oil and there were none. We finished the bread and the waiter kept asking if we wanted any more, which we did not. We ordered the crab cakes as an appetizer. They had a spicy aioli that was too spicy for the dish (and I like spicy foods). The cakes were good, though not worth $10.

Came here recently with my husband and his parents and it was great as usual. I ordered the caesar to start which was good and the seared scallops for dinner which were delicious. My husband ordered the steak special which he enjoyed. My father in law ordered the 6 cheese ravioli and said it was great and my mother in law ordered the seafood trio. The seafood was a little over cooked so our waiter had them make another one which was delicious and they comped the meal. Service is always good and they have a great selection of wines. We will definitely be back!

Love this restaurant and so glad that they are in Powell now. Have only disliked one thing on the menu, the Bruschetta. Not the greatest, but everything else is delicious. Have been there at least 10 times. Would not recommend the Sunday brunch though, was rather surprised compared to the dinners they serve, was expecting more. It is definitely a great place to eat for lunch or dinner!!

I've been here a couple of times in the past month (the first time as an impromptu visit when we stopped in for the first time to get out of the golf tournament traffic) and have found everything to be wonderful. The service was great, though both times we were there, it was shortly after they opened for dinner and there were only three or four other people in the restaurant. Still, we've been places where we were the only table and got awful service, so good service is never a given. The pasta they use really stands out (can't remember whether the menu stated it was locally made, but it is definitely not out of a box). If you're there between 4:00 and 7:00, you can get "bar bite" appetizers, which are half servings of regular appetizers, a great way to try more than you normally might. It has a warm atmosphere, nice but not pretentious. Would highly recommend it. Oh, and the bread was wonderful.

We have eaten there twice. The first time was okay--not great--but we wanted to try it again. We were VERY disappointed the second time. The pasta was way over-cooked! Instead of being al dente it was "al mushy". Our calamari appetizer was half burnt, also. Furthermore, my wife ordered a meatball on the side and they charged us $5.99 for one medium sized meatball--we thought that was a bit pricey! The menu is pretty limited as well. The service there, however, is very good. The wait staff is professional and very friendly--they just need to get someone there who can cook! We won't be back

2 visits - 2 totally different experiences. 1st visit we waited an hour for our food while other later arriving tables were served and then were told that the delay was due to a kitchen printing error. Our server said we'd be comped our happy hour specials. Woohoo. The manager then came over and comped the entire meal. Food was good but hard to enjoy. 2nd visit was spectacular. Food arrived on time, the pizza was great. Even saw Thad Motta at the bar. Hope latest visit was the true experience.

Great Restaurant! This is one of the few places you can go to with the kids, to entertain a client or have a business dinner, for a quick bite to eat on the patio, or for a dinner date. The service was outstanding and the food was good.

Hubs and I ventured here this past weekend (9/30/11) with a Faveroo coupon, and the place was jam packed. There a 45 minute wait and once we were finally seated and orders taken promptly, the food took another 45-60 minutes to come out. I got the salmon picatta and had the same experience as Shanna L.s husband did in her review. The fish and pasta were excellent. The artichoke... a bit funky. After picking out massive chunks of tomato's, the hubs (who has texture issues) happily scarfed his Angel Hair Pomodoro with Grilled Chicken dish. Prices are fair to high. I felt the main dishes were fairly prices, while some of the apps and wine were high. (I had a yummy but expensive $8.50 glass of moscato). When the bill came and I pulled up my faveroo on my phone, that is when I saw in the instructions that i needed to PRINT out and bring to the restaurant. I showed the waitress hoping not to have an issue with using it. She asked her manager, who told her as long as there was a "click to redeem button" it would be fine. Well, there was not. They still excepted my faveroo though, which I thought was awesome. So EXTRA STAR for great customer service!

Tip # 1 of selling coupons through Groupon, etc: List the correct address on the coupon. We drove to 230 Powell Rd, not 230 Olentangy. Well it's the same street, but in completely opposite directions. We called the restaurant to get the address and had to be placed on hold so the hostess could find out the address. Finally we headed in the right direction and arrived 10 minutes after our reservation. Once we arrived though, there weren't many problems. Service was a bit slow - I don't think I've ever waited so long for a water. I've never really understood why restaurants often pour my wine into a smaller pitcher and then pour it into my glass tableside. I guess the practice is to make it fancier, but I'd rather you save some energy washing that extra dish and just pour it straight into my glass at the bar. The boy ordered the salmon piccata & I had the chicken parm. While the menu doesn't state it, each entree comes with choice of soup or salad. I had the caesar & he went with wedding soup. The wedding soup was very cheesy though, so he just ate the meatballs. I far prefered his soup though over my overly dressed salad. My chicken parm was much better than you'd get at a chain restaurant. Overall there were some problems, but I'd be willing to overlook them. The restaurant itself was definitely not what I expected from the outside. I expected the typical strip mall italian, instead the decor was much more modern and very clean looking. I especially liked the look of the bar.

I've been here twice, and that's enough for me. I only went the second time because I had a leftover Groupon and it was close to home. The second visit was even worse than the first! Very slow service, mediocre food, and really annoying table next to the bar. The first time the server was great, so he made up for the so-so food, but we didn't get him the second visit, so there was really nothing redeeming that time. I wanted to like it, but I don't. I thought the food was really disappointing, particularly for the price.

I was less than impressed with my dinner at Mia Cucina's. We went within a month of them opening after hearing positive reviews of the other location. My chicken parm was OK, my husband's salmon was good but the artichokes on it tasted horrible and overall I felt the place was overpriced and the service slow.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Not much atmosphere. View from the bar into the kitchen is sterile. Wine selection ok.
