Drive thru and cheap. I used to go to Charlie's as a kid on airport highway so when I was in town I had to drive thru and grab some food for lunch. Still have the best chili cheese dogs. Can't really speak for anything else on the menu but if you want a chili dog or chili Mac, Charlie's is definitely the place to go.

Terrible service, pretty good food. Here's a story: a coworker and I went for lunch, each ordered the large Greek salad as our meal and were told my our waiter that it was really big and we should get the smaller. We had been there before and the salad is our usual option so we explained we were going to stick with the full size salads. The salad consists of lettuce, feta, tomatoes, onions, green peepers and cucumbers - nothing overly filling. When our waiter brought out the salads he made a comment on the size and said we'd never finish them. We finished them and he then commented on how he was sure there was no way we would and how amazed he was. Thanks for making me feel great about myself, jerk. If I didn't love their Greek salad (and no idea why, it's really nothing special, yet it is) I wouldn't go back because their service isn't ever impressive. Another time a few of us from work ordered from here just because it was raining and we could have one person pick it up and use the drive through and didn't have to get out and get wet. When we called the order in they said we had to come inside. So much for getting their food solely because of convenience.

Charlie's has been around for a number of years now. I remember thinking it was the most awesome place I'd seen when I was a kid and first stepped inside. The faux marble, big windows with plants, and the etching-like depictions of the Argo and Parthenon give the place an airy patio feel, far more elegant than I would expect for what is essentially diner fare with a Greek twist. But it's really good diner fare, and tasty, basic Greek. Like most diners, Charlie's has a huge menu with all sorts of items to choose from. ...and I can't say I've ever had anything bad. I do tend to stick to the Greek dishes, but they also have good "Charlie Mac" (pasta with chili, cheese, onions, etc) and some of the best cheese cake around. Light and creamy, it has a great homemade quality and pairs nicely with optional cherry topping. The rice pudding and baklava are good too. As to the Greek food, my favorites are definitely the avegolemono soup and pastitsio. The latter I ordered on my most recent visit, and it was about as I remembered.... penne pasta and ground beef in a red sauce, with a thick, creamy topping of a corn starch mixture that resembles marscapone or something of that sort. I'm sure it's not particularly good for me, but I like the texture and mild flavor, reminiscent of comfort food staples like mac and cheese or lasagne. Portions are also quite generous. For about $8, I think they gave me half a pan of pastitsio this last visit... But the pastitsio is actually one of the slightly more expensive items on the menu. This is definitely a place you can eat under $10, including tip, without too much difficulty. Now, while the food has been pretty good consistently over the years, there is still a running joke about the staff whipping out the "sour mop" at closing time and starting to clean down and close up the restaurant with patrons still very much in the middle of their meals....an annoying, smelly practice which I gather is still very much in effect. My advice - don't go too close to the end of the business day. Or, if doing so, consider using the drive through. Otherwise, service is generally fine given the diner atmosphere they want to convey. And perhaps too because of the love of the "sour mop," the place is usually pretty clean, too.... Overall, definitely keep Charlie's in mind if looking for a decent meal at a low price.

The food is great which is what brings my family back, but in the last four visits my family of four has never recieved a complete right order. I am talking about simple things like scrambled eggs not fried eggs for my 3 year old and chicken instead of gyro meat on the greek pizza (which is an option on the menu). There is a serious service issue here but the location and menu choices plus great prices will bring me back again but I don't know how long that will be.

wanted to try some place new, and not a chain, so somehow we ended up here. the lot was filled enough to think is was good. service was quick and solicitous; -no complaints. now quality is another story entirely. first the iced tea had no flavor, just colored water. don't know how they accomplished that! order soda, how can that be ruined. i got the spinach pie,(thinking this is a greek diner), i ask if it was house made, and was assured it was. and i think it was, otherwise it should have been better. the phyllo did not have the taste of butter as a real phyllo should have. made me wonder if it was house made too. spinach filling only tasted of dill, i should have been able to taste feta, or even spinach. it was terribly greasy and they provided a steak knife to cut with, and that was hard to get through. So be fore warned, NO SPINACH PIE. Hubby got the gyro pita.with fires. He said the gyro meat was good but did not like the extra thin pita which fell apart when picked up. Would have liked the usual thickish pita, and not have it split. Generous amount of french fries. Even tho he felt it was ok, neither of us will ever want to return again.

The food isn't terrible and it's priced reasonably. That's about the best I can say. It is very dirty. The waitstaff clearly don't like each other and get snappy with each other in front of customers. Try are yelling across the restaurant about decisions (like when they should change the specials board). Also, they got my order wrong and when I brought it up they asked me if I was sure that's what I ordered...uh, yea that's why I'm telling you it's wrong.

Came to the restaurant at 7:45pm. They told us they were closed. When asked, the manager said we close at 8:00 but we're closed. Then he told an employee to lock the door. As we left we noticed their open sign was still on. Be awhile before I come here. Too many other similar restaurants to choose from to put up with this.

The meal was fine and the service started out decently. I finished my first cup of coffee about a third of the way through my meal and was never approached for a refill until I waved down a different server. He then proceeded to forget about my fill up request until he saw me again many minutes later. He apologized and filled me up. As I finished my meal, I would have liked a third cup, but neither my original server nor the second server ever bothered to check in on me. In fact, neither server ever bothered to bring my check to me. As this was my first time in the place I thought perhaps I was to pay at the register. My second server was surprised that I never received a check until he apparently discovered who my original server was. When I told him about my dissatisfaction with the service after my order was taken, his verbatim response was, "I know, I know. There isn't much I can do. Your server is the bosses girlfriend. Okay then...I guess that is that.

I've gone here a few times for "diner" food. Its okay. Its a bit overpriced but they have an okay selection of general foods. I would not normally give this place a bad review but the service i have been getting from here has been SO bad, i had to. Half off breakfast is not what it seems. Its only on a few dishes so make sure you ask the server before ordering. I did not get half off because i orderd pancakes and i guess thats not included. i was kinda upset. in the same vist, we sat with empty drinks because our server was "on break" and they didnt get anyone to replace her. Next vist I got a plate and it was the wrong thing. I asked them to fix it. fixing it didnt include remaking the plate, it included switching the meat on it for the right one. my fries were cold by the time it came back and it also was slatherd in mayo (which i asked for no mayo) Its allways someting anymore with this place. I do not feel welcome when i go into there and asking for someting seems like a "bother" to the staff. There are a few older servers there who are super nice. but they cant help it when the kitchen dosnt read the slip and make what they asked for. If you tell them about your service they wont fix your bill or do anything to make it right. so i have had it with this place.

We have eaten here many times over a long period of time. Like years. What we do not like is the place is filthy. Floors go unswept. Tables can be sticky some times. and the real reason for this entry is that the restrooms are just gross. It is a health code violation not to have an operating door on the restrooms yet Charlie's has gotten away with this for years (the Men's door is wide open most of the time as the closer is broken and doesn't get fixed), And the sheets of cardboard under the urinal is just plain disgusting. We like the Gyro's and mousaca but have stopped going there because of the narrow booths with torn seats. And buckets of sanitizer proudly displayed with the wipe rag draped over the edge. Real appetizing. Others of this local chain are likewise as dirty, especially the one on Airport Highway at SR295 at the west end of the airport. We were there with our grandkids once and the place was a mess and had dirty silverware. We have not been back. I would recommend staying away from these places till the clean up their act. Come on, Charlie! You've made enough money over the years to afford to replace a simple door closer correctly. If your local people can't handle it, Hire it done!
