In an area dominated by fast food and subs, Bangkok Cafe is a little Thai oasis. The prices are very low, especially the lunch combos, which include a spring roll, soup, rice, and an entree. The soup isn't great (think egg drop, I believe) but the spring rolls are good. I like the mango curry with tofu and the green curry is good, too. The noodle dishes are tasty, too, with lots of veggies. It's hard to get in and out in an hour for lunch, but they are usually pretty close. For the area, this is a great little restaurant.

To the person who said the restaurant moved... we were there just a week ago and it is still open in the same old location. Great freaking food. They were a little busy that night but we still got or food in a timely manner. Amazing gem.

If you haven't tried Thai food yet, then Bangkok Cafe is the place to begin. If you have, then you know Bangkok Cafe is the best! The owner Toi is very friendly and will make to order a dish that will exceed all your expectations. The red curry is really the best I have had in all the Thai places we have been to in NY, Seattle and Houston. Its a small shop in a strip mall and the decor is very utilitarian. But the food is terrific and the owner always welcomes us with a huge smile like we were some long lost relatives. We have been there multiple times and all my colleagues and friends who have been there have the same experience- absolutely love the food!

Loved this place, thanks to Yelp I was able to find great Thai food while on a work trip to this area.

As someone who is from LA and has been to Thai Town, I do think the food is good here. Though not the best Thai food I've had, this place is pretty authentic and since this is Ohio, it's probably only one of a handful of Thai places around here. Plus, everyone at our table got a free spring roll just for signing in on Yelp!

BEST Pad Keo Mao and Tom Yum ever! I never realized how good I had it until I moved away. Two years later, I am still on the hunt for something comparable.

Great Thai food! Highly recommended. Large portions and wonderful taste. Better than most San Francisco Thai restaurants. Better prices too.

What the place lacks in atmosphere, it makes up for in good quality Thai food! Not a chain, but a family run business. It's in the Woodway Plaza and you enter through the Bangkok Grocery. The staff is friendly and quick preparing the meals

Bangkok cafe is a hidden gem in Oregon and when I mean hidden, I mean HIDDEN. No one really expects a family owned thai restaurant on this part of town with all the Bob Evans' and Applebees and what not. I have been coming here for years. The service is always great (considering they only have one server and it is usually the person cooking your food). As far as the food goes it's really nothing fancy just a good home-cooked delight. If you have any reservations about this place just go ahead and set them aside. Try it! It's delicious.

Been to most of the Thai restaurants in Toledo, and this place is the best. I'm from Boston, and it reminds me of all the amazing mom and pop old school Chinese restaurants with their squeaky tables, and wobbly chairs. Very authentic Asian style place. Great food, order the Pad Kee Mao!! So good. Also there is a well stocked Asian grocery with stuff I can't find at Kroger. Go now!

My boyfriend and I eat food from there weekly. We love it. We are always greeted with smiles and good conversation. We go there knowing that our food will always be tasty, fresh, and hot. Everything is prepared just how each of us likes and we have never had a complaint. We really feel like we are visiting family everytime we go there...and not the kind of family you have to visit on the holidays...the good kind... =) We highly recommend this place to everyone because they have something for everyone. Also- ask Toi about her sushi, she makes the BEST sushi!!

Found this place using yelp on a recent visit to Toledo. My meal was excellent. The woman running the show is very kind and was very happy to oblige my very spicy request. I took my food to my hotel which was a good idea since the place itself is not particularly inviting. This restaurant is worth a visit if you have a Thai craving!

I tried to go there for dinner but there was a sign on the door stating that they moved to a new location. I still want to give them a try but I will have to find their new location.

Best pad tai, pad kee Mai and basil fried rice. Cucumber salad to die for. Nice small family owned, not elegant Seriously great food

It's not much on atmosphere, but the food speaks for itself. I've only been there once, thus for now, I'm only giving 4 stars. The curry selection is limited (red and green) but the green chicken curry was excellent. I must admit that I was a little surprised that nobody ask me how spicy I would like my curry; I didn't realize that until after I had received my food. As it turned out, it was perfect in terms of spiciness; just hot enough to make my scalp sweat! Again, like many of Toledo's Thai restaurants, Bangkok Cafe is located in an unassuming strip mall, in a part of town that has seen its better days. My only complaint is that the plastic fork they gave me was too flimsy to use. I'll go back for more "research!"

Great place for take out. We go here all the time. But be careful, medium is too hot for me.

The best Thai I have had yet... More of a takeout place bc the decor and ambience are a bit drab. Try pad kae mow ... Or anything the female owner has to suggest. Only have had one bad experience where our food was literally too hott to eat... Must have been an off day or a new chef because usually this place rocks!

So yummy. We loved our red tofu curry, chicken pad see yew, beef salad, and shrimp fried rice. We live in the San Francisco area with lots of good Asian and this was fab. Total hole in the wall so look past the unassuming decor and dig in

For my money, this is the best Thai food in the Toledo area. It's like a home-cooked Thai dinner in your mom's dining room. The owner is the cook and the server, assisted usually by her family and children, which adds definite charm. The Tom Kha soup is fantastic, well worth trying, as is the Thai jerky for an appetizer. The green and mango curry (not always available) are OUTSTANDING! And I'm also a big fan of the Pad Woon Sen, Pad Kapoa, and Pad Nam Prik Pow. If it's available, try the fresh mangos and sticky rice desert. Not to mention, it's located adjoined to a Thai grocery, so you can pick up some real goodies to try at home. Delicious authentic food, great service, and the joy of giving your money to a local business run by remarkably nice people. I recommend this restaurant to everyone. It's a genuine hidden gem in this city.

The food was good but the establishment was in poor condition. When we walked in it took a bit for anyone to come from out back to greet us. When we were finally seated it was at a dirty table. She didn't wipe it down she simply used her hands and pushed the crumbs on the floor.

Delicious! It's in a small plaza, but don't let the look of the place fool you. The food was authentic and very good. We ordered the pad thai and pad see-ew, which were both amazing. We also got spring rolls and crab rangoons for an appetizer that were very tasty. Best thai food I've had in a long time!
