I've only been here for a late night dinner. The sandwich I had - I forget what it was called, like a BLT with chicken and mushroom added on a hoagie - was amazing. My husband said his chicken alfredo was okay, but our 3-year-old liked it. We agreed the garlic bread was excellent. Especially nice, we arrived within the last hour they were open and were still there for a short while after they closed. Never felt rushed or like an imposition; the service was great, and they chatted with us as they went about the late-evening tasks.

They need to pay attention to making sure to keep salad bar stocked. We paid for salad bar and waited 30 minutes and they never refilled the lettuce. Seems like owner needs to train help to pay attention to their customers. I will never come here again not refer anyone

If I were in Chicago, this would be 2 stars, but since it's little Napoleon, OH, and the choices are few and far between, I am giving it 3 stars. It's a very average diner with the typical fare you'd expect. I've been here twice, once for breakfast (biscuits and gravy weren't terrible), and once for a late night dinner on a stormy night. It was a welcome respite from the rain, and the salad bar was pretty decent. The soups left me underwhelmed. But the children all seemed to like their food (tiny burger, chicken nuggets, fries) so you are likely not to hear too many complaints from them on taste. Adults might be another story, however. They managed to stay pretty busy though during weekend breakfast and brunch.

I ate here while on a business trip... First impression when walking in is this is a family owned style of Big Boy. Was told to seat myself, and when the waitress came to give me the menu I asked what is Peppermils known for she couldn't tell me, so I then asked her what her favorite dish is, she said the salad bar. Now I started to worry since that did not give me much confidence in the cooks. I ended up ordering the 2 piece broasted chicken with a salad and mash potatos. The salad was taken from the salad bar and tasted ok, the tomato was a bit over ripe. But it was as the waitress said, the best part of my meal. The chicken was very bland tasting needing salt and pepper. The mash potatos were instant with canned gravy over it. The most unique thing about this place was the fresh peppercorn grinder on the table instead of pepper, but unfortunately when I tried to season my food it was broken and my waitress didn't come back till then end of my meal. If I am ever back in Napoleon I think I will skip this place.

I'm not too fond of their buffet especially what you get for the price, but I do like their loaded baked potato. Also, if you get a chance to try their stuffed pepper soup, go for it. I think it is delicious!
