I love the food here. I eat here several times a week. I recommend the Briarfield salad with the homemade poppy seed dressing.

Good food. Outstanding service. I loved the fact that they take special orders to make their customers happy. Friendly staff and owner.

I don't understand the reviews this place gets. Maybe we just went on an off day or something. We went at 9ish on a Tuesday morning. Blueberry pancakes had char all over them from an unclean grill, could taste garlic in them as well. The pancakes were huge though. French Toast could easily be made better at home. Bagel Sandwich tasted and felt microwaved, almost like one of those gas station sandwiches. Our bacon finally arrived after we finished eating, however it was the highlight of the meal. Server was poor, never got a refill, never prebussed etc. Took 25 minutes after we were done eating to receive the bill. I won't be going back to see if this was just an off day.

Came for an early start birthday breakfast yesterday and sadly I was just not impressed. They didn't follow my simple request of leaving the home fries out of my omelet. My omelet was pretty flavourless as well. My friend got the big breakfast special and brought the pancakes home. Upon eating them this morning after being refrigerated well she is now sick. It's too bad. I will be back but I really hope I'm not as disappointed.

Briarfield cafe is really really good. Its just a small little diner and you would not expect much from it, but I have always been thrilled with my orders. They make the best home made chips there. They are super addicting. But their Chicken Noodle soup is the best in town. Nothing can beat it. The best thing though is the briarfield salad. It is lettuce tomato onion feta swiss parmesan rasins bacon with a poppy seed dressing. It is really out of this world!

Had breakfast here. Veggie omelet with home fries for me and blueberry pancake for my son. Food was good and service was really good too.

The location is set in a forgettable, drive-past type strip mall, but this place is really good. The service is awesome, even though it seems like they might be short staffed on occasion (I've been here a million times, and every so often you'll see one waitress having to take care of a seemingly packed diner alone. Service on those days is obviously not as great, but it's hard to fault the lone server). The prices are reasonable. Coffee is solid for the typical diner. And their 2.99 early bird breakfast special can't be beat.

Don't let the strip mall location throw you off! This place is wonderful! Everything we tried was delicious!! We had a plethora of choices and most of us chose all-you-can-eat spaghetti that came at a fabulous price. One diner had cinnamon french toast as well. Then our server brought us a gratis cinnamon roll - wow! The service was attentive and very friendly and the owner, Dave, came out to chat when he found out we had never visited. Don't miss this place!!!!

We've discovered this place is good for more than just great breakfasts. On Friday nights they have an all you can eat fish dinner for nine dollars! You can get the fish broiled or fried, it including a side and then soup or salad. Sometimes the fish is soggy, but the majority of the time it is great. I get this even though I normally can't eat more than the initial serving of fish. Their fries are great too. This place is a hidden gem.

We've been going to the Briarfield for several years now and I never fail to be impressed with the quality of the food here. It's a strip mall, low key, small operation so it doesn't scream "eat here". The wait staff are attentive and knowledgable about the menu. The menu items are standard fair for breakfast. What makes it stand out is the fresh quality of the ingredients. I' ll use today's ham, cheese and vegetable omelette as an example. The ingredients for the omelette's are fresh and cooked to order. I can tell especially by the mushrooms. No canned, flavorless mushrooms here. The bell pepper and onions, same thing. And all sautéed to perfection. Not over cooked to the point of a mushy mass. The eggs were impressively light and airy. Their hash browns are amazingly crisp and golden brown. A request to add onions resulted in a nice portion of beautifully sautéed onions on top of the crispy hash browns. I've also thoroughly enjoyed their biscuits and gravy. The biscuits are light pillows of flavor and the gravy is perfectly seasoned and flavorful.

Briarfield care was the perfect spot for breakfast. Being that it is college football season the wait staff was adorned in the states rivalry of Ohio State and Michigan University apparel. Their menu offers your run of the mill breakfast options, however the flavor and quality shows a special hand in the cooking. There are also a few options offered that are unique to Briarfied Café. I enjoy eating at places that are local and family owned. There seems to be more passion put into each individual plate that is sent out of the kitchen. When I first walked through the doors I was greeted by smiles and allowed to choose my seat. The fact that the place was packed made me feel a lot better than if it had only one or two patrons inside. I had eaten corned beef hash with three eggs and I opted for homefries (better than homefries in Tampa) with Sourdough Texas toast. This is one of my favorite breakfast meals and a good way to decide on the quality of the kitchens staffs abilities. There were more options that I would have loved to try and cannot wait to go back to Ohio and try more. Their menu is not limited to just breakfast, you can order anything at any time so come down to Briarfield Cafe and see for yourself of this little gem.
