Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

This is the real deal. Mexican food at its finest. Carnitas on Tuesday was outstanding. Today, Chicken & Beef Flautas with rice & beans. And Negra Modelo on draft. Tres Portrillos is the best.

Love it, never had a bad experience. Amazing food and service! The queso is excellent, and my wife and I are huge fans of the street tacos. Also the Cadillac margaritas are to die for and they are of perfect strength. If we had the money we would come twice a week.

I have been here three or four times for lunch and dinner. Each time I received excellent service from friendly and knowledgeable servers. My first dinner I had a chimichanga with the barbacoa. It was by far one of the best barbacoas I have eaten. It was tender, slightly sweet, smokey and spicy all at the same time. They have street taco specials on Mondays and Tuesdays. I've got to make it to try them. Their chips are made in house as is their salsa. Both are quite delicious.

Mon & tues taco day. Street taco days, way better than Your usual Americanized Latino food.

We come here all the time. And it's safe to say Tres Potrilllos is my favorite Mexican place! The service is very good and staff is friendly. Plates are always fresh, steaming and very well priced. I Love the seafood chimichanga& shrimp tacos. Really anything is going to be good here and you can't go wrong. Drink specials are perfect for a night out with family or friends :)

My husband and I are in a dining-out-rut, and Tres Potrillos is to blame! Every date night we end up here, even when we think we'll try something new. Why? The food is great, prices are great, and service is prompt. Chips are always hot and fresh, and you can tell the salsa is made in-house because some times it's spicier than others (we don't mind). My husband almost always orders the street tacos with tilapia. Three corn tortilla tacos with diced fish and fresh slaw. I highly recommend getting the black beans as your side. They're your more authentic beans - stewed with lots of onions and peppers and perfectly seasoned. I almost always get the chicken enchiladas verdes because I'm also in a rut, but it's tasty, filling and reasonably priced. Their margaritas really are the best in town. They've never been stingy on the tequila, and the happy hour prices can't be beat. Service here has almost always been great, and it has always been prompt. Food is always delivered within 10 minutes of ordering. On Cinco de Mayo our server was a little short with us, but it was evident it was because she very harried due to how busy they were. Toward the end of our visit, she returned to our table with a smile on her face and free t-shirts for everyone. I've read a couple reviews that complained about the occasional language barrier, but I don't know how anyone could go to an authentic Mexican restaurant, and then have the audacity to complain when your server's first language is Spanish. On the one occasion when my server was recommending a menu item and I wasn't sure what she said, I asked her to point to it on the menu. Easy peasy. Certainly not a reason to complain. I won't take off a star, but I will say there is one server who needs to learn that only a small percentage of customers like to be sassed by their waitress. We (and our friends who were with us at the time) were not those customers the other night. If we ask for more chips or a refill on drinks, please don't say, "No," and then laugh or "Oh, you wanted more huh?" It is rarely appreciated. We have only had this server one time, but in the future I think we'll make sure we're sitting in someone else's section.

Food is always good...but boy is the map/location way off on Yelp!!! Go by the physical address NOT the Yelp map!!

Decent stripmall Mexican. Food was pretty good, kind of average Mexican. I had a Chicago burrito- beef, beans, chorizo, with cream sauce and green sauce on top. Pretty tasty, though not spicy. Came with rice and salad. Service- meh. 2 stars. I stood for awhile when I walked in, and it's not like they were busy. The host (my waiter) was kind of hanging out having a pop. And service at the table was lackadaisical too. Long time before a drink refill, long time before he brought the check. Prices were fair. Atmosphere is maybe a little fancier than most Mexican places. I doubt I'll be back; there are other Mexican options in the area.

We have been going to the Galloway location for years and it's the best Mexican food around. We were visiting family and had to stop in. The service and food is amazing.

We've always loves the Tres Potrillos Galloway location but the new Marysville location didn't measure up. Let's strt with the server. He walked around scowling, never introduced himself or welcomed us. The food was ok, but not made with the love I've found at the origional location.

A terrible evening at Marysville Tres Portrillo. I had to chase down my waitress to order more food. I found her in a booth with the manager playing on her phone. Then, when she finally dropped off the bill, she quickly vanished and I had to chase her down once again to dispute the fact that she had charged full price for the jumbo Cadillac margarita. As advertised on the white board when you walk in, it should have been half price. The manager argued with me, so I quickly walked to the front and grabbed their white board to show him the "special". He reluctantly reduced my bill and the waitress presented me with a new one. I again, had to chase her down to complete the transaction. The only tip I offered was that she might consider staying off the phone while there are paying customers in the dining room. As I was leaving, I glanced back to see the waitress, manager, and someone from the kitchen giggling about what I had written on the bill as her " Tip". With three Mexican restaurants in a small town, one might expect a more serving dining experience. Rest assured this family will not return. Too bad too, we really enjoyed the meal, but the front line folks have a lot to learn about customer service.

I really like the feel of this restaurant. The decor is nice and there are several TVs playing around the main room (it is usually sports). The atmosphere is relaxed and while the service is great, they don't breathe down your neck the whole time that you are there. The food here is okay and that is why we have only been here twice. It isn't bad but it is kind of bland. There is not a lot of spice to it (and I do not necessarily mean 'hot' by spice). My biggest complaint about this restaurant is that they boast that they have the best margarita in town and their margarita is not good. It is very, very sweet and it left a strange after-taste. In comparison, after we drank a small amount, I had the diet soda after-taste in my mouth. We did let the waitress know that we thought our margarita wasn't very good and it tasted way too sweet. She went and spoke to the manager and came back and said that they tasted the batch and it tastes like it is supposed to. That was a red flag for us. I would normally think that a margarita shouldn't be made into a batch unless it was being ordered by the pitcher or something. We didn't argue any further and we sent back the margarita. We probably drank a fifth of it before giving up and paid for it. We will go to Fiesta Grande any day before we go here again but like it said, it was okay.

I heard this place got new menus and we came to check it out. They have so much more variety now. We got a ceviche for appetizer and it was delicious. Tried the stuffed pineapple with shrimp and it was also amazing. They also have brown rice and black beans too which is awesome because I try to keep things a little on the healthier side. I have to say I can't think of any other full service Mexican restaurant doing things like this. It definitely deserves the 5th star now.

Food was good, Fajitas Suprema-beef, chicken AND shrimp combo, but service so-so. Waiter delivered chips but no salsa until we asked. Delivered meals but no silverware until we flagged him down to ask, and he waited on three tables before provided them. He seated other guests and forgot the iced tea he was carrying was for our table. He never delivered the chips & salsa refill he promised. Food was delivered quickly for kitchen, just waiter who was the issue... Receipt said server was "Augusto" Price is a bit high compared to other Mexican restaurants in area.

Last night my family and I went out for a nice graduation dinner for my daughter. the chocolate milk they gave my 4 year old daughter was beyond spoiled and smelled like it. after she had said it taste funny we immediately asked for a different drink. everyone at the table got either some type of chicken or cheese enchilada. however my daughter and I had beef. she had the ground beef taco and I had the tapitio burrito. well as soon as we get home I had severe body aches and cold chills and my daughter was complaining of the same symptoms. well as the night went on things got pretty bad if any of you are familiar with food poisoning. I am not 100% sure it came from this place but I have had this in the past and am willing to bet it was caused by improper handling/cooking of the food or possibly cross contamination. we will NOT be coming back to this place ever and a report to the city has been made.

My family was very disappointed when Marysville lost its best full service Mexican restaurant. During the summer of 2012, the Derecho that took out power from northern Indiana all the way past Washington DC caused a roof to collapse in downtown Marysville, causing us to lose our beloved home of margaritas, burritos and enchiladas. We tried to settle for Crazy Burrito a few times, but each time left disappointed. We've given up hope on them. When Tres Potrillos opened, we heard negative reviews from our friends, leading us to the same disappointment without even trying them. We left our hope in the belief that our beloved Fiesta Grande would open in a new location downtown. But month after month after month they still remain closed, to the point that today our family decided to give Tres Potrillos a try. WOW! I don't know if the early reviews were just wrong, or this restaurant has much improved in the months since it opened. Whatever the explanation, I don't care. Our experience was great! The food and service were top notch, and the place felt clean and well kept. This place is as good as I remember our beloved Fiesta Grande was. We will be frequent patrons from here on in. I keep hearing rumors that Grande will open up again. If/when they do, if they live up to their old standards, you can't go wrong choosing either place. In fact, Tres Pots (I think I will call it "three pots" since I can't pronounce their name, let alone type it without look at it) will probably provide easier parking than the mess that is downtown Marysville. Sorry Fiesta Grande... you just took WAY TOO LONG to re-open. We tired of waiting and now we've found a place just as good as you used to be. We will now split our love between you two when you re-open.... oh who am I kidding.... one of you will win out. "Three Pots" is going to give you a huge run for our money. Makes me hungry again just thinking about it.

Went here today for lunch. Had the street carne asada tacos. Excellent Tacos, Pico De Gallo was top notch. Guacamole was fresh and house made I would rate a 9. Best refried beans I have had in Columbus. I lived in San Diego for 14 years. Salsa served with Tacos is hotter and better than the one served with chips. Ask for both. They sold me a cup full for the road. It was that good. Spotless Clean inside. Pepsi was sweet like it should be in a Mexican Restaurant. Thanks for a great lunch.

If you are hell-bent on capping off an exciting evening at the local Walmart with Mexican food, then this is probably the best of the two options within walking distance. Just don't expect great food, good value, or quick service.

Excellent food and best margaritas in town
