I love, love the Laredo steak! My husband tried the wings for the first time, and really enjoyed them. The best part of this 'outing' was how the staff fixed an 'issue' in the kitchen. My mother asked for a seasoning to be held on her chicken, and it was messed up. The server immediately informed us that they were remaking the chicken, and it would be out very soon... the manager then came out, offered her apologies, as well as cookies! It's nice to see the costumer service still exists!

Since getting more involved with Yelp, more and more I prefer eating at the independent establishments. I've eaten at other M&Es over time, and since their whole change of concept (from bar and grill to more "upscale" establishments), I've grown more and more flustered with the lack luster food I've tried at these joints. Today's lunch, however, was surprisingly pleasant. I chose the Mushroom Swiss burger with fries on the side. The burger was actually quite tasty. Juicy and flavorful. Very slightly seasoned. Thick, freshly sautéed mushroom slices. Even the fries were decent.

We went here in February with my in-laws, because we usually have a good meal at a fair price. That was then, this is now. I don't know if our waitress had just lost her kitten or had just gotten a Dear Jane letter, but we must have reminded her of her ex. She was rude when we asked about specials, and that was the high light....at least we got a good conversation out of it. The steaks came out over cooked, however no one dared send them back for fear of causing or server to go "postal" we quietly paid and left without making any sudden moves. The food here is usually good. We just happened to meet an untamed shrew.

Great family hangout: sports, ice cream bar, friendly staff, nice patio area, convenient to 33 coming from Columbus. Pretty good burgers, love the cheesesteak.

Good atmosphere, good server and food wasn't so bad. This was my first time coming here to eat. Would go back again.

My in-laws, husband and I visit this M&E every so often. Well, the in-laws live down in Lancaster, so we sometimes go here for lunch after church on Sundays. Every time we go, we are always quickly seated in either a booth or table. I think we just get here before the 'after church crowd'. This past Sunday I ordered one of their salads and the hubby ordered one of their chicken sandwiches. Very good. The waitress and everything was just perfect. We'd definitely go back here again. I would have to admit that we never get a bad meal at this M&E or any of the two that are closer to our home in the Columbus area.

Got right in with a party of 4 on a Saturday night. Food was excellent. I wish they brought back the loaded cheese fries!

Max and Erma's over the years has changed... the only one worth going to is the on on Third in German Village since it's the original.
