Great service, good food, cool atmosphere. We stopped here after a day of zip lining. We were actually in the parking lot of another place and saw the pictures of the food here. My husband immediately backed out and headed over. LOL Our server was friendly and quick. Our food only took ten minutes and was supper yummy. I could have done without the sweet bbq sauce on my grits, but that is just my opinion. The sausage and pierogi was delish!

Admittedly, we may have overlooked this gem if it weren't for Justin A's review (dated 8/21/15... look it up!). We even looked for him, knowing he may be there on a Friday night. LOL We even hollered "Russ!!" from our table, hoping to get the attention of the correct male bartender... there were three behind the bar that night. Although sad we didn't meet Justin or Russ, we still had a fantastic experience and would recommend CSP over and over again. First we arrived with a part of six, and seeing how busy they were, we fully expected a long wait... but we were seated instantly... at a table with a bear carcass hanging overhead (we swear he was watching us!). None of us had tried turtle soup before, so we ordered a bowl to share... de-freakin'-licious!! We had no frame of reference, so we can't compare to other turtle soups, but theirs was amazing... admittedly we had a bit of post-turtle-soup guilt (RIP Franklin). Then among us, we ordered an assortment of entrees and shared... the big winner at the table was the Shrimp & Grits. Holy mama!! I make S&G all the time at home, but never like this!! We also had the Big Lojeski... really tasty, but a bit heavy on the mustard so we scraped about half of it off, and this was a heavy meal -- my husband and I could easily have shared it between the two of us. Another item ordered was the Blackened-Chicken Mac n' Cheese, simply because Justin A. recommended it, and we have to say this was the most disappointing in the bunch. There was maybe a 1/4 of a chicken breast on top, and it wasn't blackened, and the mac n' cheese was really bland -- even though there were six of us, we didn't finish this dish. And the Pecan Crusted Chicken Salad got a bit thumbs up, although we'd put this one in third place after the S&G and BL. For the area, we were OK with the craft beer selection, but being from out of town, we were really hoping for local choices to sample. Everything on tap would have been available pretty much anywhere craft beer is served in the Midwest. Good selection, but didn't bowl us over. Our service was out of this world!! And I feel awful that I can't recall our server's name because she was a lot of fun and really did a great job. The atmosphere was energetic and fun, without being TOO loud (we could chat easily without having to yell over the music or crowd noise). So thanks to Cherry Street Pub for being awesome. And thanks to Justin A. for your oh-so-convincing review that brought us here in the first place!!

I'm super impressed. Super, super impressed with this bar and grill! This place, from what I saw, has so much going for it. I wanted to try a new place tonite, so I pulled out the trusty Yelp app. After a few minutes of searching, this place came up. Hmmm... It has great reviews, so what the heck. A large public parking lot across the street, so no need to feed the meter ***jazz hands***!! When we got there, it was pretty full with patrons. Nice, bright lighting (as opposed to many of the dark pubs around town). Lots of paraphernalia decorates the walls. The bar is original, from the first establishment here, In the 1930s. 100% character, folks. Put our name on the list, and the wait wasn't more than 10 minutes. Miranda, our waitress, was friendly, answered all our questions, even gave us some suggestions from the menu. She had a great personally, very easy to chat with. The leather covered menus are a great touch. After sifting thru the pages, I zoned in I the BABB Burger. Bison, sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions, blue cheese, and A1 sauce. I got a side of mayo (it comes with mustard, of which I don't like) but the big chucks of cheese, mixed with the sweetness from the onions, shoot, I didn't even use the mayo. Powerful flavor explosion! Could taste all the components. The fries where also super done. Light crisp. Soft and hot. Everything's made fresh. I especially like how all sandwich entrees are served on a metal tray - brings back those elementary school lunch memories!

Sometimes in your life you have to make decisions, like do I wear pants today? Do I maple syrup on my waffles? Do I eat the most amazing meal of my entire life??? Well put those pants on toss that crap waffle you made in the trash and get to Cherry street! As soon as you walk in you feel like a symphony sounds, the awesome hostess will take you to the worlds most comfortable tables of the 100 year old bar which I'm pretty sure was hand hand crafted by Davy Crocket himself.. Then you order a drink from the any one of the awesome bartenders, hope you don't have a best friend because they just got replaced by Russ (the male bartender). The beer on tap is different almost every week, but when it gets replaced they put something twice as sexy as the last. After you drink away your personal issues from home. Get that manly menu, made of LEATHER and AMERICAN DREAMS! Close your eyes and point to anything, it will be the best food you've ever had. Stephanie who wrote the two star review is a loon, this place is a 20 star minimum. Don't waist your money on fast food, invest that money in blackened chicken mac and cheese, I would take a bath in that amazing, cheesy, food porn. I come to this place every Friday, it's like a second home, thank you Cherry St for giving me something to believe in.

WOW I'm a raving fan for so many reasons. It's so nice to see such a gem locally. We walked in and were greeted so genuinely warm and friendly. The place itself was redone immaculately!! The decor was perfectly old pub style the only give away that it hasn't been there for 50 years is that the place is so spectacularly clean. A great mix of traditional "pub" decor and kitch I felt like relaxing and having fun from the first moments in the door. Now the food!!! Twisted Calamari for appetizer was a resoundingly good choice. Perfectly fried calamari with a delicious Thai peanut sauce with a devilish touch of heat. Loved it!!! I opted for the dish that had sausage and perogies since I'm a south side Pittsburgh Polish boy at heart. I'm not even deducting points because the perogie were not homemade. The sauerkraut and caramelized onions were flawlessly done and the brand of sausage was also superb. I talked the the owner who was actually walking through the restaurant and greeting and talking to everyone obviously taking great pride in her baby. I told her the only thing missing was the mashed potatoes on the plate. I know carbs served with a side of carbs it's a Polish thing you just have to roll with it. I promise it's worth it!! Then there was the chicken and waffles!! Now anyone from the south will tell you this is a dish that defines a southern cook almost as much as her grits and greens do. The chicken first lured you in with it's seductive appearance. If you can believe it the chicken actually beguiled you! You knew it was delicious just by looking at it and it didn't disappoint!! The waffle it was served on was perfectly done. Just crispy enough to stand up to the chicken perched atop it but tender inside. Of course real maple syrup and a very generous knob of a honey butter perched atop the dish. I'm sure someone's southern grandma is being rebuked for divulging the secret family recipe!!! Although I was way too stuffed to attempt a dessert I was tempted with a float that had Jack Daniel's ice cream!!! Note to self gotta save room for that on a recent visit. Now I haven't tried it but the menu has some epic looking mac n cheese dishes. I'm pretty certain I will be having a date with one of those soon. So to sum it all up epic food served in a friendly pub with lots of eye candy to occupy your brain and it's served up by super friendly folks in an atmosphere that is infectiously friendly and fun. GO NOW!! Seriously stop what you're doing and GO!!!

My wife and I were looking for a full service restaurant open on a Monday night and a friend recommended Cherry Street Pub. The exterior was inviting, the interior very unique and clean, even the Men's Room! The interior is inviting and fun with just a few TVs in strategic locations which allowed me to watch the game AND have some great conversations with the wife and the staff. The menu was fun, unique and traditional all at the same time. The food was excellent as was the service. We got to meet the energetic owners Billy & Lorena. Great people! I have 25 years of Foodservice experience and ownership... and this is the first time I have written a positive review. The "only" 2 things we though could be improved on are the lighting. It was just a bit bright but not bad at all, and the wine selection - only one chardonnay. But that forced us to try some local brews that we really enjoyed. Finally, we have found a place we can visit regularly, have fun, be entertained, and enjoy a scrumptious night out without breaking the bank ! Rock On Billy & Lorena!

My friend and I just decided to finally try this last week. We had been hearing good things about it since it has opened. We stopped by on a cold weekday rainy afternoon for lunch. We were immediately impressed by the heated mat on the handicap accessible ramp that leads to the entrance. I don't think I would have noticed except for the steam rising off the mat in the cold rain. We were greeted by a hostess and seated immediately upon entering. She situated us in a booth with beaded curtains pulled back and soft lighting. It was very cozy and comfortable and I felt like I never wanted to leave even before I had tasted the food! We had a good view of the bar area and several other patrons sat talking quietly and enjoying their food & beverages. Our waitress took our drink order and I had a local Buckeye Lake draft. My friend just ordered a boring glass of sweet tea. Probably because she was hungover, we had been out late the night before. Lol. (She's a lightweight, I need to take her out more often). It took us a long time to decide what to have because everything on the menu looks amazing! I wanted to order one of everything. I'm one of those people that like to try new foods. And they had plenty of interesting choices. I had a steak salad and my friend had the chicken salad. I wish I had taken pictures of the food because it was presented so appealingly. I had never had a salad with french fries on it before but it was delicious! My friends chicken salad was equally tasty. I can't wait to go back and try more things on the menu, particularly the flatbread. So if you are looking for a place with great atmosphere, friendly service and awesome food this is the place for you.

This is what Lancaster has been needing! The food is great, the atmosphere is great, the decor is awesome! I have had a few meals here and all have been fabulous. I only had one issue which was my burger came out rare when I ordered it well done, but they swiftly fixed the issue. My only complaint is that I wish they would introduce a gluten free menu. There are very few option for someone who is is gluten sensitive and forget it if you are celiac. All in all, it was good and we will be going back.

From fish to waffles, we enjoyed the food and entertaining atmosphere. ( I very much liked the chicken and waffles. Such a savory - sweet combo is my fav. Gwen's fish was batter dipped and cooked to perfection. ) Great tunes played softly in the background as we enjoyed our meals. It was a fun atmosphere for a family dinner. We will certainly go again.

Went for dinner and enjoyed the fried shrimp with fries. Very good and the shrimp were crispy and large. Coleslaw was bland and needs more flavor. My husband had the pork taco and liked the flavor of his dish....portions were good. The atmosphere and decor is casual yet not boring. The wait staff were very pleasant and knew the menu. This is a nice pub and was full on a Wednesday at five o'clock. Great place and nice addition to Lancaster. Beer selection great also.

We ate here based on the Yelp reviews and weren't disappointed. It's a super clean pub with a friendly and efficient staff. I had the sausage, perrogie, and sauerkraut plate and it was killer (A+). My wife had fish and chips and said it was great. The kid had a bowl of home made mac n cheese as big as my head and ate the whole thing. Excellent all around!!!

The food was excellent! I had the bourbon pulled pork mac and cheese. It was creamy and delicious. My boyfriend had the buffalo soup and it was excellent. I finished the meal off with a Jack Daniels Cherry Sundae and it was dreamy. I was full and I ended up polishing it off. The atmosphere is nice and the place is clean. The manager stopped by and made sure we were doing well. The place is small so make sure you get there early.

Food was good. Waited a lot for service, waitress kept ignoring us. Would have had more to drink but did not have a the time to wait on her to get around to us. Clean and nice other wise. I will try again hoping my waitress is just having a bad day.

Made my first visit on a quiet holiday Sunday. Only had apps and drinks at the bar, but the experience was very pleasant. Service was cheerful and the atmosphere very comfortable and friendly. Easy parking across the street. Wishing this business success, and looking forward to my next visit.

A new venue to the East Side of Lancaster, OH that recently opened. The Cherry Street Pub will officially open to the public January 27, 2015. My wife and I attended a pre opening event and it was exceptional in every way. The building was renovated on the outside an on the inside and the atmosphere was wonderful. A tribute to the ideas and the vision of the Smiths. Food, drinks, and personnel all require a bravo based on their food preparation, taste and efficient service. Enough of what I have described. Make a visit soon and prepare to be amazed!

Lunched here a few days ago. The restaurant was busy, the food was good. The server's don't check tables often enough nor provide refills unless you track them down. Brew selection is nice, quite a few "new & different" brews. My only complaint is the pricing, it's a bit high for the portion size & quality. Otherwise a nice place to stop and enjoy lunch

First time in Lancaster and found this place on yelp. Great tasting food! Lots of variety on the menu (food & beer)! Very friendly staff. It's ok to bring kids but there is no kids menu. I had fish & chips... Done to perfection! The slaw that came with the meal had a spicy kick to it and tasted awesome. Wife had a gluten free mad mushroom flatbread which she said was awesome. Kids had grilled cheese and fries. Must have been good because they even ate the crust. No leftovers to take home!

We started with the Pub Bread and a Spicy Bloody Mary - both are reasons to go back again! I had the chicken and pecan waffles which was drizzled in a spicy maple syrup (Yummy) and my husband had the Filet with creamed spinach (he's not an out fo the box kind of guy, so I gladly enjoyed them) and a baked potato. The meal usually comes with a mix of sweet, purple, yellow and white potatoes but they were out. The steak was cooked perfectly. He also ordered a house salad and that was probably the only thing we were disappointed in, especially for the price and we wish we had been able to save room for a cream puff for dessert. There is a huge selection of sandwiches which I can't wait to try out. I consider this a hidden gem in Lancaster, Ohio and highly recommend. Our waitress was excellent as well!

This place is fabulous. Our food was great! The male bartender was knowledgable about the beer selection. We are ohio university grads, so it was cool to see a Jackie-O beer on tap. It was nice to have a good cider beer on tap as well. It's awesome that the selections are changed when the keg is empty. It gives us a reason to go back and try more beer. We will definitely be back! :0)

Great relaxed atmosphere. Massive beer selection. Super friendly service. Fish & chips were wonderful. I will surely be back again. And again! This is just what Lancaster needs!

Wow! From the moment we were greeted at the door, to dessert, this is a place we will return to over and over. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, so we went to the bar. Greeted by a very friendly bartender, who described all the craft beers available (which change regularly ). We even tried a couple. Absolutely loved the "cherry" one, specially crafted for the pub by Buckeye Lake Brewery. The general manager chatted with us, giving a little history of the place. Once seated at our booth, our server was extremely knowledgeable on the menu, very friendly and efficient. I had the ribeye, while my fiancé had the pork chop. Both were outstanding. The food runner asked me to cut into my steak BEFORE she left to ensure satisfaction. It was cooked to perfection. The owner, Billy, and his wife stopped by our table separately, to check on our satisfaction. Even the GM came back to make sure all was ok. In total, 6 different people checked on us, always with a smile and ready to help in any way they could. On a side note, my dinner came with creamed spinach, and I hate spinach. It was DELICIOUS. Couldn't believe I really enjoyed it! The prices were extremely reasonable, for the quality of food. Will be returning again and again!

We went here for lunch. We ordered the chicken gumbo soup and tacos. Service was slow. There were no refills. Our tacos came out with the soup. There was no chicken in the soup. The tacos were sparse. We have no plans to go back at this point.

My husband and I drove down for a late lunch. Parking was conveniently across the street. The de'core' was light and fun. It is not a big place and it was a little loud but tolerable. We started with the pretzel sticks and cheese which we enjoyed. We would suggest not baking them as long though as they were a little brown. My husband got the Mac and Cheese with Ham which he really loved. I got the fried shrimp with slaw and french fries. The shrimp was really good and I liked the coleslaw. The fries had either been sitting a little long or not cooked enough. For desert we got the brownie sundae and the cream puff. Both were really good. Nice way to spend a birthday lunch! We will be back. They have lots of different options and I see other things I would like to try. Oh, and we met one of the owners who was very nice. We wish you all the best and hope business treats you well! You are a nice addition to Lancaster.

Hands down the best place to eat in Lancaster -- lunch or dinner. Pub atmosphere, friendly service and good food. The creme puffs are as good or better than Schmidt's in German Village. Highly recommended.
