I have only been here for drinks, but I love the atmosphere. The bar in the front usually seems pretty chill depending what events or live music are taking place. If you are into patios this bar is a must. The patio is very large and has a totally different vibe than the bar in the front. The scene is is definitely on the younger side. Great bar to go with a group of friends.

Different place depending on when you come in. Mon-Thus beer and food specials make this a great deal for those who like go out early. Lots of complaints about the young crowds, but it's much older and even family friendly up until around 8-9.

Their very, very popular patio has great hambone and hook-nasty watching in the summer. All the kids from River are home from college with their collars popped and on the prowl.

Popular bar with the 'main stream I don't care if everything sucks' college aged kid types. The space is great (large patio, some interesting architecture) and there's a big crowd on the weekends. Wish the music didn't suck so bad (even if it's tailored toward the mainstream type). Party Rock anthem remixes in the "dance" room is rural bowling alley music status.

A Lakewood institution. The bar food, especially burgers and wings are above average. Drinks are slightly overpriced in comparison to most other Lakewood bars. The patio is one of the best in Cleveland during the summer although it gets uncomfortably crowded with a younger (21-26) crowd.

This place was really busy on Friday night. Met my bro here for a couple cocktails... The band played inside, while most of the crowd hung around the outside bar/patio area. Crowd was young (21-25). Drinks were cheap and everyone was friendly... good times :) In walking distance of several other bars in case you get bored.

I went to Around the Corner on a weekend night in the summer, and while it seemed like it could have been a perfect place to have fun in theory, it was just too mobbed and loud to have a good time with friends. If I wanted to grind on the dance floor among blackout drunk people, I would go back to college. The patio seemed nice, but I'd rather check it out on a day or night when there's less belligerent traffic.

Decent corner bar... THE UP-SIDE: Nice corner bar with good bar-style food. Servers are usually pleasant and hard-working. In summer, always sit on the back patio; great feel to it and much more fun. THE DOWN-SIDE: Food isn't anything spectacular (but good for a corner bar.) THE SUM-IT-UP: Yeah, I go here every once in a while to just kick back with friends on the back patio. Give it a try.

Toto we're not in Ohio anymore. If you don't want to read on, take this from my review: Great for happy hour, with an outdoor seating oasis, crowded past 9 pm, and diverse crowds ranging from 50 somethings, young couples with babies, or nearly 30 singletons before 9, food is edible when you're famished, great/friendly service. I've been here before when it's packed with wall-to-wall people. Hermit crab races were in full swing, a live band was covering some great 'oldies' (I can't believe I can say that now), and the same old guys that think they can get away with grabbing you without you knowing which skeeze done did it. It's like finding your way through the poppies. If you're not too drunk, make your way outside for some fresh air and relief from the gallons of Armani that infiltrates these confined places. Only this time it was raining, Friday, 6:30 pm, and a different generation surrounded the bar. Oh yes, the 40 and overs. Not to mention the 30 something brief casers (as I call them). I don't why I have such angst towards business men. Partially because in my experience they're the ones checking out other women while their robotic blonde wives share stories of trying to getting pregnant and taking pottery classes in their "downtime", all the while sitting right next to them. The same guys who eyeball you to death from across the bar in their lousy attempt to make uncomfortable eye contact with you even though you have a ring on your left finger. The same exact guys in the office who are so unhappy with their lives that they speak ill about their better half, and attempt to have office romances with their co-workers. To me they're all the same. Needless to say, I don't like the crowd. Present company excluded. I digress. Despite the rain we sat outside in the back on the patio. It was too nice not to. We found a dry seat under the tent near the bar and a screaming child. What was more entertaining were the looks my friend was getting from the mom when my friend's phone would go off. Yet, the screaming child didn't even phase mommy dearest. After 4 drinks each, a plethora of people watching, and several eyerolls later, I had only spent $12.50. Not too shabby. We left and came back to get some food. For bar food it wasn't inedible. They were out of lettuce wraps (rats!), so the bartender recommended the chicken quesadillas. Had they not been burnt I would have totally enjoyed them. They were tasty, but the chicken was unseasoned, and my tortilla was burnt (double doo-doo). I slathered on the little dixie cup of salsa that came with my whopping 2 lb, overstuffed quesadilla. This monstrosity could have fed 2 gals. The 'guac' that came with looked like pureed baby food, and it looked like it had been dispensed from a frozen icecream machine. Going to ATC is just as disappointing as making your way to Oz only to find a man behind the curtain and no wizard. There's no magical remedy when trying to find a safe haven from the monotonous night life that's consumed Lakewood down the stretch of Detroit. It's just a horse of a different color. Bottom line, you have to be drunk to be here in order to deal with the Wizard of Oz misfits that find their way in. Truly, there's no place like home.

Guys, it is what it is, a fun bar with one of the best patios in Cleveland, and their food specials make it a great value. By the way, every time I have been there the staff has been great, always friendly and accommodating, even when my son is running around the patio like a mad man. Great neighborhood bar!
