Worst sushi restaurant I have ever gone to. Rolls loosely wrapped. Awfully slow, not to mention rude service. Salmon in rolls tasted old. Also, we arrived around 10 PM with the expectation of them staying open until after midnight (as both the website and Google suggests) and they actually close at 11. Whenever we asked them about this the server rolled her eyes, told us to read the website (which literally says they're open until 2:30 AM on weekends) and walked away. Absolutely awful.

This sushi is great for the price if you go when it is 1/2 off. My favorites are the Mexican and Climax.

The food was good... I kept it simple and ordered the spider roll.. it was pretty good.. I was with a party of 10 and the service was great she was on top of everything and allowed us to converse with out butting in... thanks

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this restaurant yet! I've been coming here once per year, every year, for the last five years. I'm in Toledo once per year for a race, and we always make it a point to go here. The sushi is pretty good, the drinks are pretty good, and while I haven't had any of the Chinese dishes, I hear they're pretty good too. The service isn't anything to write home about, but to be fair, I usually come with a group of 25-30 people. I think this latest trip, last week, topped the scales at around 3 dozen. They've always been very accommodating, especially with separating the checks. If you like "average sushi," meaning just salmon, tuna, and white fish, you'll be pretty hard pressed to find rolls. They're a bit heavy on the shrimp, crab, lobster, etc. and it seems to be a bit more expensive than in locations where sushi is a bit more ubiquitous ($7 for a regular tuna roll, versus your normal $4 around the NY/New England area). The apple and lychee sake, and the saketini are pretty good though, and sometimes there is karaoke. Lots of fun, solid place, and I'll be back next year.

I had been here once before for a friends birthday and wasn't impressed with the service or food. The same friend asked me to go today as an attempt to try and cure a bad day with some sushi, I thought 'why not?' Mistake. We arrived and the waitress took our drink orders. I had water, my friend had a pear martini. It was awful, she informed me that she had three different martinis during our previous visit here and none of those were any good either. The waitress came back a few minutes later and took orders from everyone at the table besides my friend and I. I was confused as to why she wouldn't have thought 'I should probably ask everyone at the table if they'd like to order'. ....hello??!! So we would try to grab her attention every time she came by so we could order but she never glanced at us even so much to ask if she could refill our drinks. She did not refill our drinks or ask if we needed anything the entire hour and a half we were there. We were finally able to get her attention to order as she was bringing out the rest of the tables food. Unbelievable. I was so irritated I almost walked out. However, I stayed, and when my tempura arrived it just fell apart when I picked it up. This place is garbage. Service and quality. I almost forgot! The sushi chefs were texting behind the sushi bar all night! HA! Our waitress is lucky I even tipped her. (Mean, but I cannot feel alright with myself in leaving absolutely nothing.) I don't know what I was expecting from a karaoke sushi bar. Anyhow, I am not planning on another visit here, ugh.

One of the best sushi specials I have ever been to. I would go herr weekly and they are always so great with service. I have never waited when I went here and have also never been more pleased with sushi. Definitely a great place to get food when you are in college and I wish there were specials like this everywhere!

Good sweet n sour sauce, egg rolls. There is a groupon for it too $8 for $15 worth the food before 4 pm.
(4)Michael M.
Restaurant is nothing fancy inside or out, but the sushi is extremely good. Very fresh, and their half price Wednesday's make it a wonderful buy. Looking forward to going bac

Excellent selection of sushi (I'm a specialty roll kind of girl). They have half of sushi a few times per week which is great! Cool atmosphere, live music and not too pricey. Service isn't always the greatest, but the rest of the experience is worth overlooking that part. Been here a hundred times and will go a hundred more!

Spicy Tuna Sushi Bar came here for 1/2 sushi Wednesday. It was busy, look a little short staffed, I guess for 1/2 sushi, people come. I came with my friend Matt and his girlfriend Maria and my sister Mishell. I love sushi, especially 1/2. Ate $140 worth of sushi between 4 of us. Our bill with my sister was $35 not bad for 9 rolls. I really enjoyed the dragon roll and the spicy tuna roll. Rice on the sushi was decent. The only thing is did not like was the one roll with a lot of Mayo. I am a mayo lover, but it was too much. Over all I really enjoyed the everything. Will come back and visit this place again for 1/2 sushi.

The General Tso's chicken I ordered was not edible. I'm not a picky eater however I could not force myself to eat my takeout order after getting it home. What should have been a red sauce had a burnt brownish coloring to it that tasted as if it had been cooking for days on end. The broccoli also was crispy and had a stale ash taste to it. Nothing worse than getting a takeout order home and throwing it out...

$1 off all sushi rolls #20-69 during lunch hours daily. 1/2 of sushi wed 6-1045pm and fri and sat 9-1045pm. Boom. Finally got around to hitting this place up on a Wednesday night right at 6pm. Upon arrival, the host had us wait for some odd reason. We waited a good 20 minutes or so. There were a handful of open tables. We inquired twice and it wasn't until the third inquiry regarding our table did we finally get it. "So...we're just going to go sit at the bar 'til our table's ready. Is there a reason why it isn't?" the Yelper said. Third time here (first time for dinner) and I will have to recommend the Mexican (spicy crab, avocado, jalapenos & cream cheese), Climax (salmon, cream cheese & avocado), Spider (soft-shell crab, crab mix, cucumber, avocado), and Red Dragon (shrimp tempura, cucumber, avocado). It's definitely worth trying all the special makis when they're 1/2 off! Sushi was pretty delicious considering how thrown off I was by its ambiance. There's a full bar...and a game room...and kareoke nights? And TVs with sports. Not that I'm complaining...but it's definitely not your typical sushi joint. Nonetheless, I'm a fan of the 1/2 off nights and see myself returning when I crave a roll or 5. PS...they only have flavored sake. Which is meh. But that's also 1/2 off on the nights mentioned above.

This restaurant's information is wrong. Their website claims that they are open until 2:30 am. We drove all the way out there for late night sushi, and were denied at the door at 10:30. The woman working walked up to the closed door and told us that we couldn't even come inside. I will NEVER eat here again.

I went there alone at 309 pm on Thursday, October 16, 2014. I ordered the Garlic Chicken and a cup of tea. The tea was warm and bland, having barely any tea flavor. The big disappointment was the Garlic Chicken. It was inedible. There was so much salt in the dish that i could not eat it and I left it. It was horrid. I was also charged 2.95 for a cup of tea. I thought that was ridiculous. The veggies were pretty much raw, which wouldn't have been a problem if the onions weren't so spicy hot being raw. You could not eat them they were so spicy hot as raw onions.

Went last night, terrific service, well kept, clean, and nice inside. We ordered several different sushi rolls, all were very good & the fish fresh. Really enjoyed the spicy California Roll & Rainbow roll!

Went in here last week to grab some sushi for lunch. Initial thoughts on appearance were that it looked like a dump, but I gave it a chance anyway. I walked in and was seated immediately as there were only two other customers in the restaurant. Sushi prices seemed a bit high for the area, but the full menu wasn't too bad. However, I didn't end up ordering sushi. Behind the sushi counter stood the sushi chef, dressed in swishy Adidas pants and an old New Balance T-shirt. Along with the lack of professionalism in clothing, he was coughing and wheezing. Due to this, I didn't order sushi. This continued for the entire time I was at the restaurant. I ordered the broccoli and chicken, which was brought out steaming hot, but tasted bland. The miso soup was good, though. The server was also attentive (again, only two other customers in the restaurant at the time). As I stood up to leave, the coughing sushi chef had walked to the back and was replaced by an equally well dressed young man who began vaping behind the sushi counter. Really? Maybe I'm asking for too much for employees to not be making food while audibly and visibly sick. Probably a step too far to ask them not to vape while working inside the restaurant as well... I will not be going back.

There really isn't a better "deal" on sushi in Toledo if you come here for their half off nights. The sushi is pretty good, and at the half off prices it can't be beat. The restaurant does get very busy during the half off times and you will likely need reservations, or you will have to wait. I generally pick Wednesday nights because the sake is also half off. The sushi isn't the best in Toledo, for that head to DOMO, but I do enjoy it more than some other places, such as Sori Sushi. If sushi isn't your thing, there are many other good food options. Fu Yi was an amazing Chinese restaurant, and they use some of the great recipes and items from that menu. So if you are looking for a good deal on sushi and don't want to spend a ton of money, go here on a Wed, Fri or Sat night.
(4)Monty S.
Great food. Great service. Although the menu was a little confusing they made it right for no extra charge which made the whole experience amazing. I defintely would come back.
(4)ChiTown F.
Terrible service. The worst I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing. The crispy Korean tacos were nearly stones and the General chicken was a complete mess.
(1)Ron N.
I have only been here once and split the Chinese Cashew Cicken Boxes Bento. Everything was fresh and reasonable. Think I need to go back to fully review this place.
(4)Kristie L.
I'm not a sushi fan but they have a large regular menu as well. Service is great and it's in a good plaza with other businesses I frequent.
(5)R K.
The ambience of this place is bizarre - it's a former bar that was hastily turned into a restaurant. The sushi isn't very good either, and is prepared by a bunch of 22 year old white guys (no offense!)
(2)Sean L.
The sushi is so-so but the last time I ordered from spicy tuna was a terrible experience. We ordered take out and I drove to pick it up with my wife. We showed up when they said to but after a half-hour of waiting in the car while my wife waited in the restaurant, I decided to go and check out what is going on. Without apology they said it would be another 5 minutes because they received a big order. After another 30 minutes, our food finally came out and I asked for at least a portion of it to be comped and the manager rudely denied me. Now instead of losing $13 on a sushi roll, they lost a customer for life. No big loss to me because the sushi was sub-par to begin with.
(2)Jen S.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. The first visit gave me a sinking feeling right when I walked into the place. A game room? Really? I sat down, trying to nudge my cynicism aside. They have a very extensive menu, which was promising. I ordered miso soup and we at the table shared a few sushi rolls. The miso was good and the rolls tasted okay, but almost like there were additives. It didn't taste as fresh and pure as other places I've been. My salmon roll had bones in it. I picked a bunch out and showed it to the owner when our waiter brought him over. He said he was sorry, the fish was not filleted by their chef, and they would make me a new roll for free. I took it but didn't eat it. My appetite was ruined and, since it took a while, I was pretty much full anyway. Curse of the Coupon - I had to give them another try. This time, to make a long story short, the food was fine, the service tried to be good but wasn't, and everything took for EVER even though the place was not very busy. Details, if you feel like reading a lot: They really messed up my order. I asked for nigiri. I thought, and this was confirmed by the server, that nigiri was a single piece of raw fish. I told the server I didn't want rice and he even double checked with the sushi chef. I ordered a few pieces of nigiri and some miso soup in addition to a takeout order for my boyfriend. My plate, when it came out 45 minutes later, was FLOODED with fish. I was very confused and asked the server about my order. He said, "Oh, sorry, the chef corrected me and said the sashimi was without fish, so I ordered that for you instead." The problem is that sashimi comes with three pieces instead of one and costs three times as much. I asked him to take the plate back and bring me back the amount that I ordered. I also wanted the bill to see my price difference. He brought the bill back and showed me that it would be $45 instead of $30. I had an adequate amount of food so I figured I will just suffer the $15 because I was sick of complaining. When he brought our real bill, it was $10 more. He said, "Oh, sorry. The other bill didn't have your takeout order on it." (Thanks for telling me, guy!) He offered to take it to his boss because he was sure he could get more taken off the bill. He came back and explained he couldn't reduce the price anymore (apparently because he had already taken my plate back once...) With a clenched jaw, I paid the bill and vowed never to go back there again.

Spicy Tuna is a strange place. Not sure what the space was used for in its past life, but not many sushi joints have a back room with arcade games. Everybody who goes seems to be a regular, people meeting up with friends and grabbing drinks after work. The crowd is really hopping on Wednesday for half off sushi night. The staff is knowledgable enough about most of the menu items and even if you're not into sushi (like me) there are plenty of other menu options to choose from, those that I've tried aren't amazing- but they're ok. However I'd rather have options than get stuck with another order of chicken teriyaki at any other sushi joint.

Not THE best sushi in town. Not THE best Chinese in town. Not THE best drinks in town. But, when you put it all together, it's really quite good. It's not where we go for a special occasion, but occasionally I meet the wife and kids there for dinner and sake on the way home from work. Don't call CPS yet...the kids drink milk. If you like spicy stuff, you're safe with the "volcano chicken," my favorite dish here. You get a nice sized portion and the flavor is excellent, and they'll hold the mushrooms if you ask them too. It's spicy enough for my taste, but mild enough that my kids can eat it, too. As for the sushi, it is a pretty good deal on "half off night(s)." My wife, who definitely knows her sushi, seems satisfied enough. Personally, I like the atmosphere a lot. I like the radio music that plays overhead ("You're listening to FM 104 WIOT, Toleeedo's Beeest Rooock!") I also like the "do-it-yourself-at-Home-Depot" decor (check out the construction of the actual sushi bar and the waiting area by the front door and you'll see what I mean). Like pool and/or classic video games? Check out the game room. A Multigame machine?! DIG DUG, RALLY X AND FIFTY OTHERS?? OH HELL YEAH!!! The mural on the back wall (Yog the space monster and Godzilla attack Toledo) is, uh, unique and worth a look. Three to four stars for food, four stars overall (atmosphere, good service, and a nice selection of mochi!).

I most recently came here on the previous 1/2 off Wednesday. I was kind of sad to see that most of the things that I was hoping to get were not on the 1/2 off menu (sashimi, nagiri--just fish or just fish+ small amount of rice). Most of the things that were half off were rolls (most of these rolls contained cream cheese...which personally I'm not a fan of so I didn't order these). I did still order a lot of food though: yellow tail roll, tuna roll, spicy tuna roll, unagi roll, Alaskan (salmon) roll. Of course this was very filling, but that's because there was a lot of rice and seaweed. There was hardly any fish in my rolls (maybe the amount of a small fingernail). This was the dilemma. I could barely distinguish my fish rolls (tuna, salmon, yellowtail). If I ate it with rice, then I could only taste rice and seaweed paper; if I dipped the roll in soy sauce, then it would overpower everything else. So in my opinion, it was basically just rice and seaweed and they all tasted the same (like rice and seaweed paper (and soy sauce)). So why pay $4-5 for something so simple that you can make yourself? Unagi and spicy tuna roll was 3-star (A.O.K.). They were carried by their sauces characteristic of the roll so the lack of fish/texture flavor can't really present as a problem. Unfortunately, these aren't the things that bring me into a sushi restaurant. Service was extremely slow... It probably took close to an hour to get our food. It took a long time for them to collect our check too. I won't be coming here again. The moral of the story is that It's hard to find affordable sushi in Toledo and that's understandable because it probably isn't easy to get fresh fish...so.... go eat sushi when you travel! FYI: 3 pieces of traditional sushi....$9.. yikes
(1)Mike O.
I love it here on half off sushi night! Sushi always tastes good. Sake is half off those nights too, so its a great night. I'd recommend reservations on the half off nights. I've had a couple bad experiences with the wait staff, otherwise I'd give it 5 stars. We had a party of 15 one time and the "manager" tried to remember all our orders without writing them down. Not one of us got the correct bill. It took over 30 min to straighten it out.
(4)A A.
1/2 off sushi prices are pretty good for average-quality maki and specialty rolls, but service here is consistently slow. The last time was awful. Took an hour and a half for our food to arrive. Other similarly large groups came and went. The waitress came back at 20-minute intervals and assured us it'd be only a few more minutes. Her final explanation? Even though she's also the assistant manager, she can't ask the sushi "department" to pick up the pace, and she did not attempt to change the fact that there was only one person handling our large order. We were dissatisfied but decided to finish our meal. But then, when the time came for our checks, she looked at the two non-white people at our table and said, "You're together, right?" They arrived separately, ordered separately, and didn't request joint checks like the other couples had. They were not dating and gave no indication that they were. We stared in stunned silence. It's probably our fault - we should have gotten up to leave after an hour so of waiting instead of giving Spicy Tuna the benefit of the doubt.
(2)Renee B.
I love it here. Wednesday nights for half off sushi and sake. Love the sushi. They get super busy around 6 oclock but I think it's worth the wait. I love the Philadelphia roll, mexican, dynamite, volcano and another roll that is spicy. They give a free appetizer and gift card for birthdays, which was awesome! Way better than most places and their sundaes. Go try!

Holland needed a sushi place. Finally, the void has been filled by a place that seems to have a bit of an identity crisis. I decided to give Spicy Tuna a try during its opening week. Right away, one is confronted by a fresh, minimalistic decor... but with about 10 flat screen TVs. I don't think I've ever seen so many TVs while eating sushi: a type of cuisine that typically stresses tranquility and harmony. Upon sitting, I spotted a curious room at the back of the restaurant that looked very conflicting with the rest of the space. It seemed as if a group of graffiti artists with a proclivity for Godzilla was set free with an unlimited supply of spray paint to narrate its own rendition of this classic Japanese piece of cinematography. Apparently, the rogue group also decided to drop a billiards table in the room and title it a "game room." I just find it odd that such a room was placed next to the dining area that has very neutral colors and a much more calming effect. But on to the food; this is a restaurant review. The menu contained a large variety of different sushi from pieces that would be considered adventurous to some patrons all the way down to the basics for customers new to the idea of seaweed-wrapped food. I found it interesting that the person who I was eating with was able to order broccoli chicken, a type of food I'm so used to seeing grace the menus of Chinese restaurants. Nonetheless, the dinner was pretty decent along was the service. Oh yeah, if you're a sake fanatic, it is served it here.
(4)Jeremy S.
Very good and definitely the spiciest tuna I've ever had. Seaweed salad was spot on and I'm grateful that some other patrons recommended the black dragon roll. I love eel in rolls. I also ordered the escolar sashimi, which tasted fine but the texture seemed odd. It seemed a little too firm. In fact it was completely different from all escolar I've ever had. It was a bonus that I could watch the Bears on a flat screen high def TV while I sat at the sushi bar. Great service too.

Mom, queen of discounts, managed to get a sort of gift certificate for this restaurant (from surveys I believe), and as my family loves Asian cuisine in general, we decided to give it a go. Not bad, not bad at all. The menu features a range choices, with both Japanese and Chinese dishes. There are also some hamburgers if you prefer. The specialty, though, is sushi which is prepared in the center of the extremely eclectic store. The atmosphere is .....well, unique. My first thought was "college bar" with the weird bar stools, vivid colors in the pool room in the back, tiki bar umbrellas, and general bright hues. On the other hand, there are subtle Asian-art-inspired screens and lights, and a more subdued bar area with a wide range of drinks... more like your typical neutral "Asian" restaurant. Then again, the sushi rolls have very sexual names (orgasm, climax, playboy, kiss of fire... ......oh my...). But the servers weren't really dressed like hooters girls, and though you wouldn't want a kid reading the sushi names, I could see a kid enjoying the bright atmosphere. I would have like it, I know. And the few people in there on a rainy Thursday afternoon over the holidays looked perfectly normal. Not your bar fly or college bar types. ...so... Yeah. It's very unique, but probably has something for everyone. More important than atmosphere, of course, is food. And the food is very good. I tried the almond boneless chicken, which consisted of a very nice piece of flattened chicken breast, lightly batter fried, with the typical brown sauce and nuts. The sauce was a good balance of sticky and velvet, with a surprisingly light flavor. The price was on par with other Chinese places, and the portion quite decent. Even more of a shock was the hot and sour soup that came with it.... which was actually good, especially when paired with the fried wonton bits that had been dipped in cinnamon. For the record, I normally -hate- this soup with a passion. Most of the time, it reminds me of nothing so much as toxic sludge. This, however, was a very delicious exception to the rule, with a good but not overpowering tang. So, major kudos there. The meals my parents had were also very tasty. I believe Dad had General Tso's chicken, and Mom had one of the tempura bento. Portions were large but not overly so. We left feeling full but not stuffed. Of course, you can't go to a sushi bar without trying sushi, so we supplemented our meals by splitting a black dragon and eel roll. Both were -very- good and well prepared, with a good amount of artistry. Spicy Tuna also has some very nice desserts. I believe they buy them elsewhere (i.e. not made in store), but they were obviously fresh and very creamy. In our case, we shared a piece of chocolate and lemon-berry cake, and enjoyed them very much. I also have to mention the tea - it is served in a large pot for the whole table, and comes in green, oolong, or jasmine flavors. Now, I usually am not a bit fan of jasmine tea. Too often, it tastes like I'm drinking perfume. Good perfume, but perfume nonetheless. It's my Mom's favorite, however, so we gave it a go. Well, I don't know the brand but I really liked the tea here. It had a good amount of tea flavor that the jasmine accented, instead of overpowering, and was truly quite enjoyable. It smelled amazing to boot. Service was also laudable, with our young waitress knowing everything on the menu and generally being quite helpful and friendly. To note, we had no trouble using the gift card; in fact, the waitress smiled when she saw it. The only downside is the prices, though they are on par with other Japanese and Chinese restaurants. The good thing is you can eat relatively cheap, or really go for a big night out. For example, you can get udon or Mongolian pork for as little as $10, or spend up to $20 on lobster and steak based dishes. Sushi also is reasonably priced, especially if you stick to the simpler rolls. It will be hard, though, given the wide array of delicious sounding (and ...interestingly named) deluxe rolls. All in all, it's definitely worth checking out. Bring some buddies, play some pool, have some drinks, and enjoy some very nice food and service.

A great collection of sushi and chinese fiod. Everyone there is fab! Check the specials

Real authentic sushi bar, the staff are very helpful (in sushi selection). Can get expensive. Same FuYi family, better decor.
(5)Joshua B.
I love this place. The food is amazing, the service is great and the contemporary atmosphere is inviting.
(5)Brittany G.
I have a friend who raves about this place, and I've tried sushi there twice, an both times it was not edible. From the fake crab to the stench, it was just too much to even risk the upset stomach. It does get two stars though because their Chinese food is not bad. Not the best, but the Mushroom Chicken is pretty good.
(2)Rajiv B.
Spicy Tuna is a good place to go if you're trying to get sushi on a budget. Two days a week they have half off sushi (Wednesday and Friday I believe). Not all of the sushi is 1/2-off, but close to 30 rolls are. On Wednesday, thy also have their sake 1/2 off as well. Now, as far as the food goes, I have only tried the sushi and I think it is good. Is it the best sushi around? No. But is it still good food at a good price? Yes. I would go to Spicy Tuna again with friends, but I would not take a romantic date there. It just does not have a private atmosphere, but it works out nice for groups, families, or even if you are solo. The staff is young and most know what they are talking about. Some do not always know which roll is which when they come out, but it's not the end of the world. It's still a good place to be!
(3)Victor W.
Spicy Tuna has some good sushi, but is inconsistent. The sushi can be hit or miss, which can be frustrating. One day I can get a sushi roll, such as the Mexican, and it would be perfect; however another day, it would be very poor. This can also be applied to their service, where you can get someone who will offer fast and great service, and another day have someone who checks on you once every 20-30 minutes.

I just got back from Spicy Tuna for lunch, and it was a terrible experience. I ate here when they first opened and did not think their prices matched their quality. A co-worker wanted to go and I gave in. First impression: The restaurant looks like BW3's and Chowders N More threw up. There are many knick knacks hanging on the walls and pop music playing. They have a bar that belongs in a night club and game room for little kids. Very bad feng shui for a sushi restaurant. Service: The server sat us down and was very polite. There were two other people in the restaurant besides my co-worker and I so we were never waiting for her. She smiled often and made suggestion for what to order. Food: I ordered the nigiri bento box which looked pretty good at first sight, and miso soup. The miso soup was okay, but didn't have a full flavor like Sakura. The bento box had 4 pieces of a california roll, seaweed salad, two pieces of gyoza, two slices of an orange, and 4 pieces of nigiri with a lemon slice on top. The best part of this box was the seaweed salad and the gyoza, the orange was just a filler. I am very disappointed with the sushi all around. The rice was not packed well, it fell apart while I ate it, and the ingredients were not fresh. The nigiri was very fishy and kind of warm. The slices were thick which was a bad combination with the rice falling apart. The nigiri had a slice of lemon on top. I didn't realize until after I ate but this was probably an attempt to cover the awful taste and smell of the fish. Bad quality fish can leave a lasting impression on first-time sushi goers, but please don't let this place discourage you. Overall: I will never recommend this place to anyone, nor will I return. The bill was about $17 with tip and the food was awful. My co-worker ordered $8 ramen (thinking it was authentic ramen, not ten cent ramen noodles. Who offers ramen noodles?!) and he sent it back. The waitress was kind enough to not charge him and let him order again. We visited during lunch and no one was there. I would hate to see their quality of sushi during their half-off karaoke nights. Take your tastes to Taruman, Kyoto Ka and Sakura, not here. I'm down $17 and have a stomach ache. Happy Monday!

This place has GREAT Sushi! They have good prices and lots of interesting different types of roles, nigiri and sashimi. It's one of the few places in Toledo area where you can get lots of quality raw sushi vs. just the crab/shrimp/fried mixes (those are amazing as well). 3 Major Issues that need attention. Ambience: This place has multiple themes so could use a bit of a refresh on their ambience - it's beach, asian and sports bar all in one...Customer Service was pretty poor - I had to go looking for our server multiple times to get her attention related to issues with our cocktails and she was Very Slow in coming back, checking in, taking orders, etc. When I found her twice she was hanging out in the kitchen chatting. Bartending was poor - our drinks came out warm (martinis/up) or off flavored (dirty martini tasted sweet - like they used vanilla vodka????) Also the service was VERY slow or forgotten with drink orders. I think this place COULD be amazing if they fix the service section. I can get past ambience but if service is not fixed, something will come along better.

Spicy Tuna isn't a quiet, calm or zen sushi bar. It is more like a sports bar with sushi and Asian cuisine. I actually love that aspect of the restaurant. Prices are decent and the food is great quality. Half off sushi on Friday after 9:30! I'll probably be there most Friday's to take myself out for a cheap and delicious meal.

Great sushi! Our waiter was very helpful in recommending some rolls and we tried the orgasm roll. It was fantastic. The prices were decent and I will definitely go again.

Went for lunch today and all I can say is, "Wow!" But not in a good way. Walked in the door at 12:20 on a Monday, waited 10 minutes for anyone to seat us. We didn't even see an employee, other than the sushi chef who stared at us the entire time (but never left his station to inform a waitress that guests were waiting), for that 10 minutes. When we were greated I asked our waitress if we would be able to get out of the door within 40 minutes being that we were on a lunch break and only planned on ordering sushi. She said she "thought so, maybe." We should have walked out then. The service was slow, slow, and slower. What would have taken Sori Sushi 40 minutes was over an hour and a half to which point I had to get up and leave. Good thing my companions drove seperately so they could pay the bill and continue to wait on the waitress. There were only two waitresses working, all tables were complaining about wait times (as we could hear them doing so), and one of the waitresses looked confused, going back and forth between the kitchen and the sushi chef mulitple times before bring the food to the tables. Our drink glasses went unfilled, my friend had to go directly to the sushi chef to ask for more wasabi because neither waitress was ever in the dinning room. We were concerned the waitresses were also cooking the food. The salad and soup was brought out nearly on top of the sushi rather than ahead of it. The sushi was what we ordered and was good enough but nothing to write home about. It compared in quality and taste to any other sushi restaurant in town. The wait, lack of drink refills, and over poor attention by the wait staff cemented the deal for me. If I can get the same quality and taste in sushi somewhere else, why would I waste twice as much time. I could see a wait if the restaurant was busy but 1. it's lunch time. 2. there were about 3 to 4 tables per waitress. 3. the sushi chef could certainly refill drinks or check on diners to help out the wait staff while he is waiting for order. Overall poorly managed.
