Yay for sushi! I've been here a few times now and have never had anything less than a great time. Service is excellent and the owner or manager or whoever is super friendly! I usually go for the regular rolls, considering I don't eat meat I suppose I'm not hard to please. Check out the lunch specials for a great deal!

It seems like anymore I see these places touting 'Asian Fusion' my stomach runs in panic. In my books Asian Fusion has been paired with excellent presentation, but horrible quality and execution. This is where Wild Ginger steps in and erases any horrible preconceptions my mind has created. This once again, also holds true to the infamous Ohio 'Don't judge a restaurant based upon it being in a strip mall with an unimpressive sign'. Ohio, you tease! The setting is nice. I felt slightly underdressed, but this place isn't by any means snobbish if you don't come in sporting a fancy outfit, or salon styled hair. We got the same treatment like every other shmuck in there. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place for a nice date-night type of place if you're looking to get away from the chain restaurant life in Hilliard for a while. I started out the night by trying one of their cocktails, but it unfortunately, was the only thing I did not like about my meal. It was way too strong, and not what I was expecting based upon description. The service was very friendly and for the most part pretty professional. The servers were able to maintain some small talk and lighten up the mood. I can appreciate that for the sometimes stuffy atmosphere sushi places can sometimes bring. Our server was very nice to also accommodate and check for me to see if they carried an off menu fish item (which they did have, to my upmost happiness). I may be over exaggerating on this next part, but I felt that the quality was close to Akai Hana. Not completely there by any means, but pretty darn close. The presentation was well done on each roll and the quality was good. I ordered the specialty roll they were touting on their chalkboard called the 'Yum Yum' roll, and it wasn't too shabby. The other traditional sushi I ingested was just as good. Leaving no room for dessert, we paid our tab, which was pretty on par to most sushi places, and we headed back out into the evening pretty satisfied. I wouldn't hesitate to return. I think I have found a new favorite sushi place.

I really enjoyed our visit here. I was at first deterred because it is in a strip mall. I don't know why though. Some of my favorite sushi places have been in strip malls. The interior was very nice and pretty spacious. The service was very good. Our waitress was very friendly and offered suggestions. They also has a nice dinner for two combo that I wish we tried. I was dumb and didn't notice it until after we ordered. I enjoyed everything we ordered. It was pretty comparable to other sushi places I have been to and it wasn't super pricy. It was about 30 for my husband and I. My only complaint was that the spicy tuna could have been a bit spicier. I didn't mind too much since I love wasabi. I am excited to come back here again since the service was good and the price was right. There was a decent selection on the menu and I would like to try different things next time.

This is easily the best restaurant in Hilliard. Granted, that's KINDA not saying a lot (yes, I live in this town and as nice as it is, let's face it, good cuisine is hard to come by here, so spare me the crap). The staff is kind, esp the owner, Andrew. Every month for the last 6 months or so, they have been doing sake tastings, which are amazing and educational. The food is terrific, both the sushi and the larger entrees. Basically, a great place to eat no matter what you're in the mood for.

Wow, I need to catch up on a lot of reviews! I had two lunch meet-ups with Heather C. here a while back. As others have noted, it is in a strip mall in Hilliard, but the exterior belies the lovely interior. The first time, I had the two roll lunch special and two pieces of salmon nigiri. I wasn't particularly impressed with the nigiri, and rolls seemed just all right. The second time, I got the lunch special again, but this time I had the salmon skin roll with the sauce on the side. This was much better, but still, not amazing. The service was very good, and the price for the lunch is decent. If you are in the Hilliard area, this is a good place to get sushi. It's just not worth it for me to make the trek out to the suburbs.

Phenomenal food. Awesome sushi. Can't wait to come back! Place is a little hard to find using Waze...it is next to Buffalo Wild Wings which is next to Walmart. (Truck parking!)

Upon entering the decor is very masculine with lots of wood. The restaurant is neat and clean. The management and staff were prompt and professional. Our waiter was great and helped us modify our order to our liking. The food is fresh and tasty. We've been here several times and have tried the soups and the sushi! Everything was wonderful! If you're looking for Asian fusion food and awesome sushi, this place will not let you down. Thank you wild ginger!

This is the best sushi restaurant i have ever been, the customer service is really good and the food is just awesome totally recommend this place

Took my wife here for dinner on a Tuesday night and had a very satisfying time. The restaurant was about 1/2 full and our waiter was very attentive. We ordered a house salad (to split) and some miso soup to start. The salad had a ginger dressing which was very tasty and the soup went down quickly. For our main courses, my wife ordered sushi and I had the crispy Red Snapper. Her sushi was a combination of rolls: Spicy Tuna, Rock & Roll and then some pieces of Maguro and Hamachi. She was very happy with it all. My Red Snapper plate was much larger than I imagined. There were 2 large pieces of battered and fried fish, with a combination of sauces, (I think curry and sweet & sour) topped with some green onion and crispy noodles and then there was bok choy layered under the fish. The fried fish was great and the other flavors blended together very well. There was so much food that I gave my wife about 1/4 of the fish, which she vowed to order the next time we visit. Great food and service. Only 4 stars because the waiter seemed to hover a bit but we will go back for sure.

This place is hard to find tucked away in a shopping center. The food is really good and the service is always excellent. It's a small place so we always have the same server. It's usually very empty, too, which means quick sushi.
(5)Christina T.
Seemed a little quiet at first, not many people there, but it was a Monday night. Our waiter was amazing attentive and knew the menu. He was able to give suggestions and the sushi was devine!! We are definitely going here again!!

While this place has been a favorite of mine for a couple of years now, yesterday I was very disappointed. They did not offer their daily "sushi happy hour" because it was Valentine's Day? If they were going to do this, they should have advertised it... To have regular guests coming in only to find out after already seated is bad business. Realistically they probably would have profited more by offering the special.... More guests, more food. In addition to this, I was scolded and had my menu taken away by my server, letting me know I would be in trouble for having it open, looking at it, and eating my soup near it :( Really?! Again, this is a favorite of mine, the sushi and dishes are excellent... However, the customer service has been lacking in many ways.

In from out of town and found this great place! Love It and the Food is amazing! So delicious and the staff is great! Don't be deceived by strip mall
(5)Matt H.
This is the best place for sushi that we've tried in Columbus. We ordered the super scallop roll, the Love Bird Roll, and the Alaskan Roll. We will definitely be back and will bring our friends.
(5)Jamie P.
Best sushi in central Ohio HANDS DOWN
(5)Mackenzie F.
Better sushi than Akai Hana, hands down. The rice is perfectly prepared and it's layered thinly around the maki rolls, which is how I prefer it. I always get the sushi appetizer because it is always awesome-- the fish is extremely fresh, and the app is the perfect size. The service is a little... over eager? but it really doesn't bother me. I wish that they maintained a full sake list. If you ask, the older gentleman will bring out some bottle options, but if he happens to be busy it's a bit of a crap shoot.
(4)Daneé J.
I give this place 5 stars for service and presentation. I dined on my own and my server was very informative and attentive. I had a pretty good house salad and bowl of miso soup. Then I had the Fuji Yama Roll which looked so beautiful I almost didn't want to eat it. The flavor was pretty good, although the sweet sauce was a tad excessive. For a lone meal, I spent a pretty penny, but I left with an overall feeling of satisfaction.

Love. This. Place. ! First-timer-will-return-as-soon-as-able (little distance from home). Others have remarked about the strip mall location. Ditto, non-issue. In fact, much better than many of the stand-alone restaurants we've patronized! First impression = awesome. Super clean, and the host/owner was very attentive, friendly and professional (feels strange to describe the host of a restaurant as "professional", but best describes...). Sierra was clearly the recipient of good training, promptly greeting and welcoming me in addition to carefully showing me around the menu pointing out specials and other helpful information. I appreciate that she and the other server, seemingly equally well-trained, were both attentive and appropriately interactive. Although not my most favorite soup in the world, the miso soup was delivered quickly, hot, and was quite good. The sushi? Oh yeah, nom-nom! Luv me some sushi. And while still a "rookie sushi-eater" having advanced past the California Roll, yet still mostly a novice, I'd be inclined to up my game with Wild Ginger. Everything was very fresh, very tasty, and presented beautifully. I'm confident whatever I would have ordered would have been very good. Oh, and 3 rolls and soup (or salad) for 12.99, even if I wasn't able to acquire a taste, I wouldn't break the bank trying. In parting company with WG did I learn the host/owner was NOT the owner. Super impressive the level of dedication and commitment made to a company not his own. (Either that or I'm a complete motron to believe he'd give as big-a-rip working for someone else). He clearly runs a tight ship with high expectations that make the experience for customers very enjoyable. Go. Try it. You too will likely be very pleasantly surprised.
(5)David G.
Wow! I used to live in Hilliard years ago and this location was an all you can eat buffet I do believe. Do not be hindered by the fact that it is in a strip mall with Giant Eagle and BW 3's! I ordered the General Tso's w/o breading for the healthier variety and I was shocked how good it was!

My husband and I went in to check out Wild Ginger a few weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon after we drove over to Hilliard and realized another restaurant we wanted to visit was closed on Sunday :( We were greeted by a smiling, very friendly gentleman (the manager or owner, perhaps?) at the front door and seated quickly. We were both floored by how beautiful this restaurant was, especially for being in a strip mall. Our waiter came immediately upon us being seated and took our drink orders. Then... our waiter committed the ultimate waiter-fail... he hovered... and hovered... and hovered... He was so nice, so it we tried not to become frustrated. But it was actually so bad that we were having a personal conversation about something and he literally swung around the wall at the drink station beside our table and interrupted us with his two cents on the matter. It was a Sunday afternoon, we were in no hurry, we explained to him that we'd never been there before and needed some time to look over their HUGE menu... He came back, in all honesty, probably ten times in MAYBE ten minutes before my husband finally got so frustrated and just pointed to something on the menu and gave in and ordered for us both. Is this a cultural thing that we just don't understand? This is the second sushi restaurant lately we've been to where we felt very pressured to order quickly. Like I said, he was genuinely nice, I'm sure he was just eager to do his job well. But even after we got our food, he continued to hover. He came back once every minute and asked us how things were when our mouths were full. It was all just a little bit much. The food however WAS delicious and the price of the sushi boat for two was very reasonable considering the amount of Nigiri and Sushi you got! The bathrooms were spotless and the rest of the restaurant was very clean and orderly. This would be a very nice date night place! They have all sorts of traditional Chinese fare on top of lots of very delicious nigiri and sushi rolls. I will definitely go back again, but perhaps only when I'm prepared to be rushed! LOL

I've now been back twice to enjoy the sushi bar here at this Japanese restaurant on Hilliard and if the sushi hadn't been good there wouldn't have been a second time for me. Today I was there around 8:30 on a weeknight so it was quiet at this upscale Japanese eatery but the owner was there by the door again to greet me and make me feel welcome. Tonight he told me it was "time to relax" and that is just what you can do at this urban style fusion bistro. The potstickers (must order pan-fried) have a thin tender dough, that I prefer to the often gummy doughs elsewhere are served crisped-up on the pan side and were hot and delicious with their sweet dipping sauce. The sushi tonight like the very fresh tuna, salmon and yellowtail were delicious and beautifully presented by the chef. My favorite tonight was the unagi which is served cooked and slightly crispy topped with their sweet sauce that makes it a great introduction to sushi for those who are new to it. Don't let the mall location stop you, get in here, meet the owner and his very nice staff and try some delicious Japanese food.
(3)M M.
Overall the service is good. If you get there between happy hour sushi is a steal! The ahi tuna meal is The best if you want something different and dine in. Overall best sushi place on Hilliard Rome
(4)Amber W.
I think this place is now one of my favorite restaurants! The staff is amazing and very talented (see pictures). My friend and I got a sushi meal to split and it was more than enough! I would also highly recommend the green tea ice cream. It sounds kind of odd, but it is actually really good and the staff gets artistic! No complaints about this place!!!
(5)Howard S.
No place gets five stars unless they knock my socks off. Tho is a solid 4 1/2. We had traditional Japanese dishes. The pad tai was very well done fresh noodles. The basil chicken had fresh Japanese steamed perfectly. The salted pork in the fried rice was unbelievable. Will be back soon.
(4)Karen M.
I love the happy hour sushi at Wild Ginger. My only request would be to add more uncooked sushi options to the half off list. My last visit was good, the regular sushi chef wasn't there (it was a Wednesday) and the sushi was not as good as my previous stops. Still fresh fish and delicious. The staff here is so very attentive and I highly recommend the unfiltered saki...it's a little sweet but goes really well with spicy sushi which is how I like mine...I definitely recommend this place.

I read the great reviews, but mistakenly thought it to be buffet. I talked it up to my husband, so we went Friday night for dinner. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and the manager, then seated in a booth. Our server was very friendly and attentive, giving descriptions of dishes and suggestions on the menu. She knew it very well. We had our toddler granddaughter with us and when her pacifier landed on the floor, another server brought a glass of warm water to wash it with. So nice. My husband got sushi, which he said was very good. I had the Mandarin Wok, with tofu, brown rice and a mix of vegetables. It came with a salad. All good. It is a nice upscale restaurant addition to Hilliard and we will most likely return.

FINALLY! A DECENT ASIAN RESTAURANT IN HILLIARD! Yeah it's in a strip mall but looks are very deceiving! With a glowing review from an Asian coworker - we had to check it out. We've eaten there several times now, both in the restaurant and carryout. Not one time have we had a bad meal. Our first experience in the restaurant was fantastic. Great service, many suggestions and good explanation of the menu. Meals were delivered fast. We requested the food spicy - and it was adequately spicy (not your typical Midwest spicy). We were blown away by the flavors and freshness of the meals. The sauces seem very fresh like they are made per dish. It makes a real difference in taste, and there are no gooey, pasty, sticky globs of sauce on your plate! We've ordered carryout several times since our initial visit. Special requests are handled flawlessly. Food is always consistent. The online ordering system is awesome, you order it and your meal is always coming out of the kitchen when you arrive. Now they remember us and the spice level is always the way we like it! Dishes we've tried and loved all of them: String Bean Garlic Sauce with Chicken Tom Yum Shrimp Mandarin Bowl Sesame Chicken (White Meat) Szechuan Peppercorn Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai Can't say much more other than, if you want some real Asian food, this is the spot. Don't let the "strip mall" deter you from a great dining experience!

Easily the new best Asian restaurant around. I would have been the first to review it, as I created the listing. But I procrastinate. I've been here a few times for sushi. They have renovated this place beautifully. It looks absolutely nothing like that buffet that used to be here. Everything is new and the utmost of elegance, right down to the menus. The sushi is prepared with a level of artistry I've never seen anywhere else. The owner/manager? showed me some pictures of some of the other dishes and they are all equally artistic. Presentation is everything here. This is like eating in a fine restaurant in Asia. It's an experience in culinary artistry you just won't find at any of the Americanized Asian restaurants around. All I've really tried is the sushi and miso soup. I haven't ventured into the rest of the cuisine yet. But the sushi is some of the finest prepared and beautifully presented anywhere around. They say it's New York style sushi. The staff is really nice and friendly. The owner/manager is a salesman too, I'll give him that. I just went in for a menu but he got me to come back with my son and order food. He and Royal have always been extremely friendly, treating us like old friends. They've been a pleasure and great with my little boy. The waitresses are cute (I know that's irrelevant but it's still nice) and extremely friendly. They know how to run a restaurant. Mikado up the road should take notes. Right now I don't think there is any better place around to have an experience with fine Asian cuisine. And I do mean an experience.
(5)Mark K.
Tucked into a strip mall, this place just opened. It's bigger inside than I expected, and decorated in nice wood with Asian accents. As the name suggests, it has a diverse menu. Sushi, Chinese, Thai, etc. I had an eel avocado roll, which was pretty good. Fresh ingredients, nice presentation. I also had a lunch special, Thai red curry. There's a wide variety of proteins to choose from; mine had chicken, but also a bit of tofu along with assorted fresh veggies. Came with soup or salad; I had the decent salad. Service was very friendly. A few first-week kinks, but they were taken care of. The owner (I assume) came around to ask how everything was.
(3)Steve F.
New restaurant. Clean, of course, NEW! TIming of foods way off. Entrees arrive way before sushi, so if you orderd the entree, you have to either eat or wait for your dining member to get their plate of sushi. Quality very nice, they just need to get the timing down. (15 minutes between placing plate down) This restaurant is associated with Haruki East, which is just down the road on the opposite side of the street in the Silver Horn Centre (Kroger) Oh yea this restaurant is associated with Oriental Express on Cemetery road, too
(3)Judy C.
I am always wary of any restaurant that labels itself as "Asian fusion". In my experience, that typically means generic, mediocre food cooked to please the masses. Luckily, I was pleasantly surprised by Wild Ginger. The entrees here are creative, well-presented, and most importantly, delicious! I got the scallops with mild mango sauce. The sauce was sweet and spicy while still remaining light. They did not skimp the portions - there were several scallops in my dish and they were big! My friends got the thin sliced flank steak and wok glazed ginger scallop entrees. I tried both and they were good as well. We all agreed the dishes had more of an authentic taste than most Chinese restaurants in the area. I did not try the sushi but it seemed to be hit or miss with everyone. It looked decent but portion sizes were inconsistent. Some rolls looked very small. I'll have to come back to give it my full assessment. Service was good. They were friendly and attentive. I had a birthday cake I wanted to come out at the end of the meal and they were very accommodating with that. We also forgot to print off the 20% coupon from the website and they adjusted our bill even after already running our credit cards through. Nice!
(4)Jessica R.
Went here with my dad a few weeks ago and I really enjoyed my experience. The place is very clean, can't tell at all that it used to be a hole in the wall Chinese buffet. Great facelift! We started off with some spring rolls for an appetizer, and they were fabulous! Super impressed. I got the spicy tuna roll while my dad got an entree (can't remember which) and his came way before mine. Kind of annoying because he had to wait until mine arrived. I agree with a lot of the others who have reviewed this place, they need to get their timing right. The sushi was great tho. It was my first time trying sushi (shocker!) so they made a great first impression. I will most definitely be back!
(4)Chris H.
This is our favorite sushi/oriental food place. The owner is very nice and remembers the "regulars". The food is wonderful, and they'll even accommodate children's eating habits. Super top secret tip: ask for the almond shrimp appetizer. It's amazing!
(4)M S.
Our favorite place to eat when visiting the Columbus area. The food is awesome, servers are attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is elegant and relaxing. It is not what you expect from a restaurant in a strip mall! All the food is fresh with some interesting combinations of flavors.
(5)Alaina S.
Had an Entertainment book coupon for this place. Called up, mentioned I wanted a to-go order and had the coupon but was chewed out (by whom I'm assuming was the manager or owner) that it was only for dine in only. Said this many many times. Because of his tone and was very rude, I'll never go there again because of the service. Plus the food isn't that great at all. Very typical chinese food. Nothing special.
(1)George Y.
The owners really transformed the interior. It used to be a very generic Chinese buffet restaurant before and to have all the large booths and dark wood is really surprising to see. Well, I was in a hurry, so I placed my order for the Asian duck fajitas immediately. The server put in the order, and within 10 minutes I had my meal in front of me. I can honestly say that the duck fajitas surprised me. The presentation and taste was pretty good. Now the issue is I really didn't taste much of the duck. Since it was fajita style, the duck was sliced pretty thinly and so the flavor was lost. The service can be very good and a little sketchy. The server offered suggestions, was quick in getting my order through, and was attentive. But she one time brought the wrong dish to our table and also forgot to bring another. It was obvious she was a little flustered but tried her best to keep up as she was the only server that moment.
(3)Michael M.
I have been one time and had a take-out order of sushi. The man who greeted me was very friendly he seems to know other customers who come in regularly. The sushi was good and reasonably priced, I would go again.
(4)Matt B.
This is our go-to place for Asian fusion in the Hilliard area. Located near the Hilliard bw3s in a strip mall, it's easy to overlook. Once you step inside, however, the upscale decor and warm greetings are a nice surprise. The menu is heavy on Japanese selections, but also has some Chinese-style options that are all excellent. We usually get the sushi here, which is fresh and decently-priced. They're not trying to blow your mind with wacky ingredients in their rolls, and I've never been disappointed in their taste and presentation. My wife doesn't eat seafood, so she orders the sweet potato and avocado/peanut rolls, which she says are the best she's had. I've tried some of their Chinese selections, and was pleasantly surprised that they're better than any Chinese restaurant in the area. Overall, this place is a gem in Hilliard, AKA "The Land of Chain Restaurants." They happily accommodate us with our toddler, and the service has always been friendly and attentive. The dining room never seems too busy, so seating has never been a problem. I just hope Wild Ginger has a long future ahead of it in Hilliard.
(5)Lia R.
Didn't expect much from this being tucked away in a strip mall. Like all the other reviews, it is beautiful and clean inside. As soon as we walked in, what we assume was the owner warmly greeted us. While we were looking at the menu, the same manager came back and gave my daughter two suckers saying that she looked so sweet that she needed to have suckers. Then the waiter saw my 3 yr old daughter was having trouble with her chop sticks and so he took them and made them child friendly by using a rubber band and some paper - she loved it! The service was great all throughout the meal and the manager stopped by a couple of times to make sure everything was great. Service was A+. The food - amazing! We had the lunch specials and for $8 you get a ton of food and the best part was that it was very fresh and tasted great! The spring rolls were the best EVER! Our experience made us realize how bad the other Chinese food we have been eating has been. I could go on and on - but this is easily the BEST Chinese in Columbus! Can't wait to go back and take friends!
(5)Nate H.
Very clean, but that's to be expected from a new restaurant. They have a full service bar and a LOT of seating. I was a little perturbed that my food took awhile to come out, but mostly because I was getting grumpy I hadn't had dinner yet. I ordered the Fuji Yama roll. OMG, what a treat. I would definitely order this again. I'm stuffed and very happy right now.
(4)Kolin L.
I couldn't really ask for more out of this place. For a little asian place in a strip mall it blows me away. The owner is very nice and super accomodating. We made some outlandish requests and he didn't flinch. i.i "can you put a fried egg on my meal". He recommended some crispy almond shrimp as an app cause it was very fresh and new. We tried it and it was indeed a highlight. The pineapple fried rice is great. The food is obviously made with care and the waiters are well trained. I couldn't find a fault. Excellent!

The pan seared tuna with soba noodles is heavenly. We eat here regularly, staff is friendly and food is great.
(4)Julia L.
I was only staying in the area for one night and was looking for something other than fast food - not easy on a Sunday night. Despite showing up 10 minutes before closing, the staff were quick, courteous, and I had my food to-go by 9:35. Everything in our order was wonderful, but the real stars were the spicy tuna rolls - absolutely top notch. I can't say much about the waitstaff or the decor, but I absolutely would stop here again if I was in the area.
(5)Angela A.
Don't let the exterior detour you from checking this place out. The signage is pretty plain and from the front you would think it's your cookie cutter "Chinese" restaurant. It's very clean and modern inside, the staff was EXTREMELY helpful and polite and most importantly, the food was amazing. I will definitely return and spread the word next time I'm in town.
(5)S W.
This restaurant looks really nice inside and presents the food very well. The food is decent the portion sizes are very small. Would not go out of my way to go there for the food.
(3)John V.
Still just great. It is a little unexpected in a strip center that used to have a Chinese buffet in the same spot. They need more customers so we can keep this great restaurant on the west side. Go!!! The Crispy Red Snapper is one of the finest dishes in Columbus. Good sushi and sushimi! We are going nearly weekly and great food has been served by great servers - well trained. Keep this place in business!!!
(5)Lisa G.
SO happy to finally have good sushi in Hilliard! The sushi chef is fantastic. The atmosphere is really lovely and subdued, but boy does it surprise you when you see the outside. The outside is generic sit-down chinese place, it doesn't do the inside justice at all. Favorites: Rock N' Roll Wonton Soup (broth is excellent) I'll be honest, the wait staff isn't the best in the world, but they're trying. I understand there has been some turnover there and it shows, but the owner is fantastic - welcoming and friendly without being annoying. I'm with the other gentleman who stated he hopes everyone comes out to keep this place in business, I'm happy to not have to drive to Dublin for good sushi!
(4)Amanda R.
Definitely our new go-to place in Hilliard. The staff are very friendly and the food is great. This was our second time attending and we will absolutely be back.
(4)Ron J.
Well here it is. My wife and I went for dinner. After finding it my wife says "Nothing last in this location."Not a good sign LOL! Walked in and the place was nice. However there was a strong scent of wood stain. Our waitress was not the greatest and sat us near a booth with U2 music coming out the speaker near my wife's ear. My wife was already done when we walked in the door. We get our food after another party seatd before us!...The owner really tried to make good. HOWEVER! MY FOOD WAS EXCELLENT! I had the Samba Delight.. This place should be in Polaris or Short North. Not Hill Town. Enjoy!!
(4)W A.
Not what you think, and not to be missed. Try it!
(5)Joe M.
Great new place with awesome food and service. Everything was very fresh!!
(5)Rikki G.
Stopped in here the week before last after reading everyones great reviews. I will agree that the place was very nice and clean. It was completely empty. I asked for a to go menu so i could place a carryout order. I was given one then hovered over by a very annoying waitress. She didn't even give me a chance to look on my own! I finally asked for a suggestion, mentioning that i was a vegetarian. She started naming off chicken dishes! Last time I checked, chicken was not a vegetable. I finally decided on the red curry with tofu and asked her to have it made very spicy. It came with miso soup, which I was very excited about. I got home and dug in to my curry....it was the blandest thing I've EVER eaten. I had to use my own spices and hot sauce to make it edible. The miso soup was no more than salty broth with a few very small cubes if tofu in it. The portions were terribly small for the price. Total bummer!

My husband and I had a very enjoyable dining experience at Wild Ginger today! The ambiance is great and the service was excellent. We ordered some sushi and a spicy salmon roll as an appetizer. This is probably the best sushi I have gotten anywhere. I had the Mandarin Wok scallops with sugar snap peas and my husband had the Asian wok duck. There is no where in town that you will get 6 large sea scallops in a dish for only $13.99. The duck was delicious as well. Not greasy or tough at all. We drove from Lewis Center to Hilliard to try this place. It was well worth the trip and we will be going back again.

The sushi was very good, but the service was absolutely unparalleled. Hands-down the most friendly and attentive staff I have ever encountered. Simply amazing. They made our family feel so welcome and right at home. We will be back often.

I would have to agree with others, DO NOT be swayed by the "strip mall", the place is fantastic! Arrived to a very nicely decorated Asian restaurant. Music was Asian and very welcoming. Service was very good and waitstaff was very knowledgeable. I enjoyed a Sapporo beer as well as the miso soup before my entrée (General Tso Chicken) arrived. The menu had many options including seafood dishes. My entrée arrived in a timely manner and was presented very well. The flavor was just as it should be and not too spicy. The portions were perfect. Overall I would highly recommend this establishment.

This used to be my favorite sushi place around until this weekend when my wife and I got very very sick from here. It was the only thing we ate together on Friday and within a couple hours we were both running to the bathrooms. The owner said that they guarantee freshness so it couldn't have been their food but there is no doubt in my mind that I spent most of my weekend kneeling in front of the toilet because of their monster roll.

We were there for a late weekday lunch. I believe we were the only guests in the restaurant. Service was great, server had good recommendations and the food was speedy and very good! We got three specialty sushi rolls for under $20. Will definitely return.

Was recommended by a co-worker to try Wild Ginger so since my boyfriend and I were in the area we thought we would see what it was like. Nice environment was dark inside but nice. They had Asian music playing loudly but not too bad. Staff were very nice and accommodating. BF started with 2 Thai Spring Rolls. They were pretty good. The sweet/spicy dipping sauce was quite scrumptious. There was a little bit of a veggie salad on the plate that was of vinegar/ginger flavor and was really tasty. I ordered a bowl of Won Ton Soup. It was very flavorful and the won tons were very light and good. Loved it!! For main dish I ordered Combo Pad Thai and BF ordered Combo Lo Mein. We have had Pad Thai at many, many Chinese restaurants over the past 2 years however this one I think I would of liked more if it did not have so much curry in it. In fact, I don't think any of the other I have had in the past even had curry in it. I ate some of it but gave it to my BF. He had to agree that there was too much in it, if it should have any at all. His combo Lo Mein he shared with me since I wasn't fond of mine. it was really good. We will be back because they have a lot of sushi on the menu. Also Mon-Wed they have sushi happy hour from 3-6 pm for half price. Will have to check that out.

This place is incredible! First of all the atmosphere allows you to truly escape from the rush of life and relax.. The food is exemplary! I personally love the Spicy Yellowtail sushi roll. Presentation is perfect. The wait staff is highly attentive, taking care of your needs before you realize you need it. Clean, refined and incredible food. Definitely recommend it! I will be back, many many times.

Visited for the 2nd time. Ordered peking duck... Deelish! Crispy red snapper was a hit once again. Thanks for the great service, Andrew and Alee! And thanks for the bday mochi for my son. See you soon.

As others have said, there is FINALLY a great restaurant in hilliard. This isn't your average Chinese takeout, loaded with salt and cornstarch. The food here is amazing and the owners and staff are so nice and accommodating. Everything is so fresh and well prepared.

My wife and I have only eaten here once. The food was very good. Like others, I overlooked this place many times not realizing how nice it is inside. We plan to return in the near future.

Visiting from San Diego I decided to try this place based on the good reviews. I took my neice and her husband out for dinner. I am glad I chose this place as it was super delicious! Don't let the outside fool you, located in a stip mall. The food was super delicious! We had the fried goyza and steamed shrimp dumpings for an appetizer and both were delicious. Then we tried a shrimp tempura sushi roll with eel on top and it was very delicious! Then I had the red snapper in a delicious sweet ginger sauce. The fish was fresh and crispy and the sauce and veggies perfectly delicious. Others had a scallop and meat in a curry sauce and they loved it! Service was excellent food fantastic! One of the best meals I have had EVER!

How did it take me so long to try this place?? Half price sushi from a select menu from 3-6PM every day! FYI - this will be changing to M-F only sometime in early June. There was a note on the door when I went in, but I don't recall the exact date. ANYWAY, I came here to celebrate my sisters' birthdays with my family, and we had a group of 8 people. We all ordered some of the sushi from the half price menu, and I had the Buddha roll and another one that I can't think of that started with an 'H'. This happy hour price point is a great opportunity to try a higher priced roll that you might not normally order. I am not a sushi connoisseur by any means, but theirs is easily some of the best that I've had in Columbus. Our group also shared some edamame and spring rolls, and split a few entrees. I had the garlic string bean with tofu, and the sauce was so good I could have drank the leftover! The entree also came with a choice of miso soup or a salad. To finish, I had a giant scoop of green tea ice cream. They also have mochi ice cream in several flavors. All of our food had an upscale presentation, and the food was served quick and hot (not the sushi, obviously). A few reviews mentioned that the servers will kind of hover, and while they did seem to always be nearby, we didn't feel pressured or rushed. In fact, I found the service to be quite friendly and attentive. The outside is in a strip mall, but when you walk in it is quite different inside; it looks really nice! I am really pleased by how great our dinner was, and I plan on coming back again!
