Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

I agree with Lauren H that this is the best Chinese food in the area. Everything is always fresh, hot and the service is fast. The portions are large even at lunch time. I have tried several menu choices and haven't been disappointed thus far. The staff are very friendly, and appreciative of your business. My only complaint (and it is a minor one) is that they do not accept credit cards, though Chase is right across the street.

Best Chinese by far. Never had an issue here. Love the chicken lo mien. Great portions, enough for two people to share a meal.

I lived in Girard for a lot of years. Every Tuesday night, my friends and I would head out to Ravenna for some mountain biking, and we'd wrap the night up with some Girard Wok and movies. The food is cheap and delicious, and the owners are the best. GET THE CHEESE WONTONS.

Best Chinese food in the area. Good tasting, never questionable (re:no mystery meat), and lots of food for yer money. Don't bother with any other take out place. Seriously.

Wow exactly what I want for lunch. Fairly priced, good portions, and best of all...some really good Chinese food. Got done making a call to V&M Star and had to grab a quick bite with a coworker. Pulled out my trusty Yelp app and did a search for the area. Looked like there were some quality Italian, Mexican, and Chinese spots in the area so I made the executive decision. It's located on "Main Street USA" in Girard and if you're not paying attention you'll miss it. There's a small dining area (aren't most Chinese places take out anyway?) and you order at the counter. I had the Kung Po Chicken and my coworker had the Beef and Broccoli, both came with a soup of your choice. Super happy with both.

My boyfriend and I always try to go here once each time I visit. It's pretty good, better than some of the Chinese places back home. I usually get the beef and broccoli. Not to bad, I like that they use pork fried rice in the combos. They close every so often from constant grease fires. Just remember, they are cash only. There's a chase bank atm across the street if you need it but the home bank fees can get you.

My family orders take out here pretty regularly. I think that the four and five star ratings are unwarranted. To get four or five stars from a place has go above and beyond, offer exceptional value, or be unique. Girard Wok doesn't really do any of that. Their food is pretty average and exactly what you'd expect from any other American Chinese take out joint. They serve the same mixed vegetables, the same red dyed pork, the same slimy shrimp, etc. The service isn't terrible, but it's not great either. It's absolutely average. Don't let the angry faced cashier convince you otherwise. I don't think she's angry. Probably just flustered. Now, like I said, we eat here pretty regularly and will continue to do so. I feel like I get what I pay for. No more, no less. My least favorite aspect of this business, and this is an indictment of most American Chinese joints, is that they literally have 9000 things on the menu. I know, I know, Americans demand options, choices and lots of them. A menu should not be a novella, though. In summary, should you give a try if you're in the area? Yeah sure, you won't be out much if you do. You'll get some alright food, for an alright price, from alright staff.

My family has been going here since I was little. Food is always great, staff even has our order memorized. Never had a problem with them. Every once in a while they throw in an egg roll or Chinese doughnut for my little brother. Love them! Just be aware, they don't take card! But there is an ATM right across the street!

Great food in Ohio. It is always crowded and there food is great. You can't go wrong with the Schezhuan sauce. Great proportions but bring cash.

I will not be ordering from this place again. The food was sub-par and overpriced for the quality. The only thing it had going was the portion sizes but we ended up throwing the leftovers out because we couldn't stomach eating it again! The people were not very friendly when picking up the food and they don't take credit cards. Who doesn't take credit cards in 2014? The veggies weren't awful but the shrimp was coated in something to make it look bigger or something. I don't know. It tasted fake and gross. Lo mien noodles were decent, but the foul shrimp ruined that as well.

Not sure why this place gets rave reviews. It is basic American Chinese food. No better or worse than any of the other Chinese takeout restaurants in the area. Oh, and they don't take credit cards...

Just a quick update for this place. We got take out the other day and I must say that the General Tso's, which I have always liked from here, was even better than it has been in the past. It actually had good spice and a little zing to it. On the flip side the Beef and Broccoli was lacking in taste. Something was missing but not sure what. Still a solid choice and is quick and convienent.
