Forget that this place is tucked into a suburban strip mall. Forget that it has tacky window graphics of their food. I had the sweet and sour burger here today, and it was AMAZING. One of those burgers where you look at it on the menu, and you think, I just don't see how that combination can work. Oh, it worked. It may not be for everyone, but for me, it was a burger that I didn't want to end. First of all, it's taken me long enough to get to this location and not because it's out of the way, but because this strip mall actually houses another amazing restaurant you all know in Los Gauchos. It's really hard for me to pick some place else when I picture those amazing tacos, but luckily, I had already been there this week and was determined to try something new. Anyway, the inside of Super Chefs is reminiscent of its downtown location, maybe with a few more tables, and a long island counter down the middle where you can sit. I sat here and was quite comfortable with two big TVs on either side of me. I ordered right away, and the food was out very quick. They cook the burger medium well, and I like mine medium, but whatever, the burger itself tasted great. The toppings consisted of a spicy crab spread that had diced chicken mixed in with a sweet chili glaze covering all of it. Weird, right? It was so delicious. The crab spread had a real kick to it too, and because the quality of the beef was so good, it just made it all amazing. Also, the fries that come with it are seasoned perfectly. They were some of the better fries I've had. The last time I went to Super Chef's downtown I had the juggernaut and thought it was just okay, but this burger really blew it out of the water. I'm bringing my buddy back in the next two weeks to try it, and I'll be checking out the Broad St. burger next. This was a pleasant Friday surprise.

All hype in my opinion. One star for originality. The super hero theme is pretty nifty. One star for quick turnover. We only waited ten minutes on a Sunday morning when there was a line. One star for unique eats. We had the hulk sandwich made with a green waffle and the breakfast pizza. The sandwich had candied bacon in it and was drowned in syrup. Way too sweet. The breakfast pizza was good. We had to ask for forks and napkins. We also asked for hot sauce. The forks and napkins came five minutes later and the hot sauce never came. Our server asked if we would like another round of mimosas and we said we would. We got our check about ten minutes later, no drinks. It was an interesting experience, but we won't be going back.

I would go back no question. Good food and fun atmosphere. Pricing is reasonable too.

Had to wait a decent amount of time, but was eventually seated at the bar. We wish they would have asked if we wanted to sit at the bar as we would have turned it down. We were seating right next to the server drink station, so we had to deal with servers coming up to us constantly, even got bumped a couple times while they were loading drinks. However the bartender was great and attentive. Helped us customize our order so we weren't stuck with more food than we could eat. The food itself was great as well, we both had breakfast food. The candied bacon was amazing!!!! We will absolutely come back, just next time ask for a table.

Well I was really excited about trying this place out but after being seated, which took about 5 minutes. We waited for a hour and 15-20 minutes and then said eff it, and left! The waitress never came by after taking or order to tell us the status of our food. Really not enough seating. Everyone in the restaurant looked straight pissed off. So I'm going to give it one star, cause of the poor service. Here's the thing thing... IDGAF if they have been open for a only a week. Get it together! The guy at the door seen me adding them to YELP and I even asked him questions to as I was filling out there information and yet this happens. I recommend Cap City Dinner, it around the corner, bout the same price and way better than anything these guys could make!

We went here with a group after getting a groupon and had a great experience. We went on a weekday and had no wait. The place gets packed on weekends however. The restaurant has a superhero theme, but I wouldn't think of it as a restaurant for kids. Menu is filled with creative items that go beyond the normal breakfast fare found at most local places - think jumbo pancakes stuffed with eggs and bacon, gourmet flavored pancakes, smoked salmon and crab quesadillas and fried chicken and waffle sandwiches. We tried the pancake platter, which is one of each specialty pancake (this is definitely a dish to split with someone!). Presentation was very nice on a tray loaded with different flavors of pancakes - peanut butter cup, pineapple upside down cake, red velvet, baked Alaska banana pudding and lemon blueberry. All were tasty, but despite all the new combinations the blueberry pancakes with lemon were my favorite. Another member of our group tried the "Juggernaut" - A fried chicken and waffle sandwich with pepperjack cheese, eggs, candied bacon and honey. The waffles were even dyed red to match the comic book character. Another tried the "Super Scriddle", which were pancakes essentially stuffed with a second breakfast - eggs, bacon and sausage. Arteries may have been clogged, but bellies were happy. I think where Superchef really excels is presenting their food in an interesting way. Waffles are colored red or green as part of sandwiches, pancakes are stacked into towers, and plates are drizzled with garnishes that really catch the eye. It seems like this would be the food served at a really trendy brunch place downtown and not a superhero themed restaurant in a strip mall. That is probably my only real critique of Superchef is that the decor and vibe of the place is a bit strange - only about 1/3 of the menu items have comic linked names and the decor is part superheroes and part local history and old photos. The food is gorgeous and well-presented, but there were tacky window decals out front. It's a bit confusing. However, whatever the theme or decor, the food is worth it.

Love it! Presentation is outstanding and it's so unique and different from what is out in the dinning market. Love it!!!!! Red velvet pancakes, chicken and waffles, hulk hogan and juggernaut are just great! Love!

We had eaten at the SuperChef downtown last year (we had a Groupon for that time too). It was amazing, so when I saw a groupon for the new location, I snatched it up. I knew we had to get there early because the place gets crowded. We woke up around 8 am and got out to the restaurant by 9. We had some confusion because there wasn't a hostess up front when we came in, so one or two groups got on the list before we did. We didn't have to wait long because there was space at the bar for two. I loved the styling of this place--it's super hero themed and there was a huge free-standing wall covered in super heroes. And all the wait staff were wearing super hero t-shirts. My husband really wanted to get a pancake meal, but went with the sausage, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich with hashbrowns instead. I got the same, except with sweet/salty bacon instead of sausage. It was actually the same thing I got last time. We decided to share a single pancake--the waitress said we could pick toppings for it, so we went with Reece's toppings. The sandwich was awesome as before, but the hashbrowns were not as good. This time they were a grilled puck style of hashbrown where before it was more like a crispy nest. I ate the top and bottom because those were the crunchy bits. My husband took one bite and left them alone. The pancake was the star of the meal--two smallish/thick pancakes with peanut butter in the middle and topped with frosting, chocolate syrup, and chopped Reece's cups. Amazing. Two sandwiches plus the pancake totaled $21 which I think is a great deal.

Loved everything about this place. Theme is so cool. Food is too amazing for words! Prices are so reasonable for food! $7-10/plate. Will definitely return!

The food was ok/overpriced, the service/wait was horrendous. 4 of us went a few weekends ago and it was chaos the minute you walked in. The hostess was clueless and we were told it would be about 30-45 minutes after putting our name in. There were so many people in the wait area that people were leaving the door open and it was pretty chilly out. After about 10 minutes and only a few folks being seated, I looked around and was amazed- 4 empty tables that were dirty and no one was taking care of them. I understand that your busy, but its no excuse to keep a dirty table for over 5 minutes. It took over an hour to sit down and the food was nothing special. We ordered the pancake sampler right away since we were starving: That was the highlight of the meal. Banana cream/red velvet were my favorite-Peanut Butter cup were too rich for me. My gf's shrimp and grits were tasty and a large amount of grits, but only had 4-5 shrimp on it- Not worth the 13 dollars. My greek omelette was nothing special but the hash browns were good. It took over 2 hours to sit down/order/eat, unacceptable in my mind. I don't think I will ever waste money again at Super Chefs

IT IS NEW. IT IS POPULAR. That translates to long wait times. Plan accordingly and don't be a dick and whine about it. Also - if you are eating here - finish and get out. It's too new to be hanging around and taking up space so you can chit chat while people wait for an hour for a table. The wait - yes, it's long. The hostess was clear, and from the other people I spoke to ("This is our fifth or sixth time coming here, it's always like this.") - it's expected. And there is a reason you'll wait this long several times - it's good. Everything looks delicious, everything sounds delicious, and everything I had *tastes* delicious. The Juggernaut, bitch? Delicious. The Hulk? Smashing. The O.G. Platter? Order it at least once to get a wide range of their pancake offerings (and whatever you order? You can probably split it and still feel full.) I hear they don't have a dinner menu, yet, but their best time to visit? 5pm weekdays. It's breakfast that eats like a meal, and I recommend it.

Someone needs to not be in the restaurant business, or get serious help. THE FOOD The Dirty Fries were an interesting concept, moderately executed. The po boy was rated very poorly at our table and stack of pancakes just awful. They defintely do not know their beers, or have their act together there. THE ATMOSPHERE Very confused. Not sure what they were trying to accomplish. THE SERVICE Nothing to complain or rave about.

Really good food. A nice change from Firts Watch or Scrambler Marie's. However, the food served doesn't always match up to what is described on the menu. Also...no unsweetened iced tea? Seriously?

A friend of mine and I went to Super Chef this past Wednesday. I've driven by the plaza a hundred times and never noticed it! The decor is cute and on point with the superhero theme. I ordered the Juggernaut and my friend got the Hulk. We were both impressed at how delicious the waffle part of the sandwich was even on its on! The plate is beautiful and the flavor was great. My only tweak would be on the Juggernaut the pepper jack cheese could be spicier! I will definitely be visiting again!

We just ate here and it was really tasty! I had the side order of pecan pancakes, hash brown, and apple turkey sausage. The pancakes were amazing. Hash browns were really good, sausage was meh. My husband got the juggernaut which was very very good! Highly recommend this place! Would be really fun with kids too, they have a super Hero's theme. Keep in mind it's a bit pricey though. $10+ per person (adults). Portions are very large.

Hands down the best pancakes I have ever had. Their batter is made fresh daily. Great service too!!! Love love love this place. The theme is super heroes and it is relaxed and hip without being pretentious. Family friendly and just a fun awesome place!!

The food is fantastic, definitely one of the best brunches we've had in Columbus. The superhero concept is fun and creative, just like the food. The menu is full of comic hero-inspired dishes (e.g. the Hulk and Juggernaut sandwiches). They also offer a variety of pancakes--Red Velvet, Reese's, Banana pudding, Pecan, etc. We were able to get a seat at the bar and were served by Britney. She was very friendly, efficient, informative, and very good at her job. She explained the menu to us, was very attentive, and always kept our drinks full (which of course is a bit easier to do when you're at the bar, but for as busy as this place was, she was impressive). I had the Reese's pancakes because I love any chance I can get to eat dessert as a meal. They were sooooo good. Six fluffy pancakes stacked high and covered with chocolate, peanut butter, crushed peanut butter cups, and whipped cream--it was both a visual and tasty treat! With as rich and filling as they were, I have leftovers for days to come. My husband opted for one of the omelets with hash browns. The potatoes were well-seasoned and the omelet was fluffy and well-prepared. It was loaded with meats, most notably the candied bacon which was, for lack of a better term, bomb diggity. Perhaps the best part was we splurged for the breakfast pizza, one of Super Chef's specialties. Lots of warm melted cheese with fluffy eggs, sausage, and more of that candied bacon was paired with fresh tomatoes, which provided a nice acidic bite, and fresh basil. It all really worked so well together. It is a great dish to share. Be warned, the Gahanna location is very new and very busy. There was a bit of a wait, but I assure you the food is worth it. We can't wait to go back and try all of the other fun and delicious dishes this place has to offer!

Hands down the coolest brunch place I have been to all year. I am obsessed with Superheroes and the decor is awesome here. The dining area is a bit small, so expect to wait for about forty minutes to an hour during peak hours. The dishes our table devoured were the Juggernaut, the Elvis Waffles, and the Veggie Omelet. All items were extremely delicious. The Juggernaut is a yummy red waffle sandwich with chicken, candied bacon, cheese, and egg. It is served with an amazing strawberry sauce. The Elvis waffles are waffles topped with diced candied bacon, chocolate sauce, peanut butter, and banana. The veggie omelet came with spinach, roasted red peppers, caramelized onions, & cheese served with a small salad and the tastiest hashbrowns around. The food was delicious and although they were packed, it arrived relatively fast. I would definitely recommend!

Lines are very long, food is ok, cool decor, takes a long time to get your food after ordering, staff not rude, but not too friendly. Menu has some really interesting items I would've liked to try, and had the experience been better I would have definitely gone back to try more items. Restaurant space very small. Not enough staff members.

Avoid at all costs if you have children. Below is a letter I wrote Superchef, I have yet to hear back from them on the matter. I just wanted you to know that we recently returned from a trip to your Gahanna location (we were there from 11:15AM-12:15AM on 1-31-15), and it was one of the most unpleasant experiences I've ever had at any restaurant. To begin with, the hostess gave us an estimated wait time of 20-25 minutes. I was with my wife (9 months pregnant) and my two year old son. That estimated wait time ballooned to 45 minutes before I asked what was the issue. The issue, she told me, was that we specifically needed high chair seating. I figured this was an understandable delay and didn't inquire further as many others who had arrived after my family did were seated ahead of us. My son was becoming irritable and hungry at the extended wait, but I was assured that the very next table that was cleared would be ours. To my complete exasperation, I watched as the store manager gave the table away to a family that had already been seated and ordered (a family that arrived AFTER our family, and was only seated ahead of us because they chose to be seated at the stool area). All the tables were full again and it had already been over an hour, more than triple the time we were told when arrived. When we expressed our displeasure with the manager as we packed up our things to go, he went so far as to blame the hostess for the seating "mix up," when in fact, I overheard the hostess explain to the family that had switched tables that they weren't allowed to change tables after they had been seated. Disappointed does not even begin to describe how awful an experience this was. And that's a terrible shame because I really wanted Superchef to be a place we could go to for years, a place where we could bring friends and family who were in town for a visit. Instead, we won't be stopping in again, ever. One last point, what sense does it make to have a restaurant themed around superheroes but have a layout that is so completely unfriendly to families with children?

LOVE the concept. Food is good too! What could be better that green and red waffles?!?!?!? I got the HULK. In this MASSIVE sandwich are eggs, cheese, bacon, & sausage that are all sandwiched between two green waffle wedges. It has a wonderful flavor. The only thing I did not like about the sandwich was the purple sugar they drizzle over it. If you are eating with your hands, they do get very sticky. My youngest two ordered the Superman breakfast (kid's menu). They each received two mini red waffles, eggs (not the nasty liquid eggs either) and their choice of sausage or bacon. Both of my kids picked sausage. Their sausage is different from you get at most places. It is not as thick and dense. In my opinion, it's better, but one of my children didn't agree. She hated it. My oldest got just plain, regular pancakes. They came out stacked over 1 foot tall (seriously). He said they were good but he has had better. He said they were a little too dense, not crispy on the outside and lacked a little needed sugar. I tasted them an totally agreed. **I will say that he did eat the stack. The service was excellent. She refilled our drinks without us having to ask or wait for long period of time. The manager there was also very nice and helpful. The hostess was courteous as well. ***There is a Groupon available. Before you go, buy it. Their food is not cheap!

Super Chefs for the super breakfasts! There's a couple other locations, but this is one is the biggest one. There's a parking lot out front so you don't have to worry about constantly feeding the meter once you start enjoying yourself. Once you step inside its not as cramp as the others, plenty of space to stand and wait without smelling someone's hair. Once you get seated, the employees are great, laid back people, and they're trying to help everyone get as comfortable as possible. As for the food, I suggest you look at the pictures online of the foods they serve because it will appear in front of you just like that. They don't try to make their ads look perfect, the food really does look just as good as you saw online. We ordered the juggernaut and the hulk. The juggernaut was delicious, the red velvet waffles do come super fluffy. With each bite, drizzled in syrup, the sweetness may be a big overwhelming. The hulk was great as well. Great place to come with a couple friends!

So I am a big fan of the downtown location, but they have made me even more of a fanatic with their new location. They really go with the Super Hero theme in this setting which is really cool. This location is not only bigger and better, its faster. They have a lot more employees and more Super Chefs! I ordered the the wings and waffles, they do something different at this location they actually put sauce on the wings instead of just frying them. I don't know what kind of sauce it is but it is excellent. It makes the wings taste 100 times better! Being that this location is a lot closer than the downtown location I am sure I will be a regular here. Wings & Waffles 1-5=5. Customer Service 1-5=5.

Be prepared for your food coma when you leave...so. much.food. I was feeling adventurous and went for the pancake sampler. I thought it'd be small but filling. I was wrong - about the small part. My favorite was the peanut butter and chocolate. It was amazing. It's fun and tasty but I felt we waited a while for our food. It's worth checking out! Fun comic book themed restaurant would make a great place to treat a guy in your life to breakfast

Happy to find this new breakfast spot. They are extremely busy for Sunday brunch. I can see how all the previous reviews in regard to the bad service experience happened. We ordered wing (naked) and frys and super scriddle. The wings were perfect, nice seasoning, crisp outside and moist inside. The frys were a little too crispy to the point of overcooked and the seasoning were not applied right out of the fryer so thr frys is a little bland. Love the super scriddle, there is a special spice in the sausage. That was a nice touch. The candied bacon, it was great. The only drawback is that the scramble eggs on top was cold. Overall, it was still a good experience. I will be back again.

Good, good... I've been waiting for quite a while for this place to open, trolling past it on occasions to see if the time was nigh. On my way to Arepazo today for lunch, I saw that the paper was off of the windows - ah jess. I tried something called the Super Scriddle, a ridiculous concoction of ginormous proportions. Pancakes - stuffed with scrambled eggs and sausage - layered with candied bacon. Good Goethe. Small seating area, tabling, no booths, several large flat panel televisions on the wall, a neat comic book mural on the wall and a vintage Super Street Fighter vs X-Men arcade game. Servers were nice and attentive. There is a lunch menu available as well, but the real draw is some really neat breakfast options. There is a salmon omelet that I look forward to trying, and several sandwich and pancake options on my list as well.

I have to thank Groupon for steering me to this gem. First if all, it's Super Chefs as in Super heroes. The menu and decor are super hero inspired. Pretty cool! I had an incredibly difficult time deciding what to order! The breakfast menu was incredible with a wide variety of options from traditional to inventive waffles, sandwiches, pancakes, and pizzas. (There's a lunch menu too with a variety of burger and quesadilla options, but I have no idea why you'd pass up breakfast) Everything is made from scratch and to order so it's a little but of a wait but very well worth it. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with candied bacon, egg, cheese, mixed greens, and a honey mustard vinaigrette on a croissant. It was absolutely fantastic. The side of hash browns were fine. I have my eye on the blueberry pancakes with lemon butter topping next time. My friend had the red velvet pancakes (heart shaped, of course) and said they were excellent too. The plating for both dishes was impressive too. The food was amazing and staff was friendly, but the service was slow and inattentive. People seated after us were greeted and able to order first, I had to wait and flag someone down to get a refill, and we spent 30 minutes just trying to pay our bill. This might just be the kinks of a new place and it certainly won't stop me from going back. I'd just recommend going hungry and not when you're limited in time!

Solid breakfast joint! I had the blueberry pancakes with lemon cream whipped topping. The portions are enormous but this kind of food lends itself to this type of presentation. My wife had the the sausage egg and cheese sandwich and while good I would really recommend trying one of their more "out there" meals if you end up going. The location is a difficult one to succeed in but I sure hope they can get word of mouth going on a place like this. They also still seem to be working out the kinks in terms of whether the ambiance is more geared towards kids or more of a young adult crowd. Solid place that I'll be going back to.

Really nothing special about this place. Long wait times, gimmicky names for their overpriced meals. Not sure if they had to pay licensing for the Marvel theme, but each meal should be at least a few bucks cheaper. I had the Juggernaut with a side of bacon. Yes, the bacon is candied, but it's limp. Like, really limp. Like it was undercooked, then left in a vat of honey and maple syrup overnight. My wife had the breakfast platter. Didn't understand why there was such a large salad on a breakfast platter. It's a big plate, and half of it was covered with salad and a croissant. Our waitress was nice, prompt with drinks, a little OCD. All in all, an OK experience, but I'm not sure I would come back and spend that kind of money on that level of breakfast.

Well we have fianlly tried it. We have been looking at it for several weeks. Serval good things and not so good things. Really noisy place and very crowded. Good was ok but it was very sweet I wish I would have asked for syrup on the side. I got wings & waffles very pretty on a plate. But very sweet ( glad I said no powder sugar ) husband got waffles & eggs w/bacon ad his was even sweeter. And he is diabetic so that was a concern too. But I think if they was open later like after bars close they make some money. It would be the place to go after drinking all night. We are still debating on come back a 2nd time. And a like pricy for breakfast ($32) Try you might like it??

Any place with chicken and waffles is worth a visit. This place is actually worth 2.5 stars but I have to point out the lousy and lazy service. Drinks are pointless, grits came out cold and the chicken was a tad over fried. The candied bacon is good, probably loved by those with a sweet tooth.
I was very excited about the menu and unique breakfast options; however, the wait was 45+ minutes for my party of two. I had the banana pancakes and my husband had the blueberry. We also ordered candied bacon which I did not care for, tasted like bacon dipped in syrup. Both of us enjoyed our pancakes and the serving sizes left us with breakfast for the next day! The service unfortunately was very slow and drinks (we both had Bloody Mary's) were WAY overpriced and I've had better at many other restaurants.

We enjoyed a delicious breakfast this morning at the Gahanna location. Short review: Absolutely delicious creative food, very good service in a noisy atmosphere. Long review: It was 9:15 AM on a dreary Sunday morning and this place was jamming! Super hero themed restaurant which is a big bonus because I love super heroes! The atmosphere is noisy as a result of music and the large number of people gathered together. We didn't want to wait for a table so we sat at the "breakfast bar" which seemed to have a communal atmosphere. Hubby enjoyed the Baked Alaskan Banana Pudding Pancakes which were beautifully plated and I enjoyed the simple Veggie Breakfast Sandwich. I tasted his pancakes and they were heavenly! The texture and taste of the pancakes is impressive! I am not into all of the fancy schmancy pancake stuff but I do know a great pancake when I taste one and these were great! We plan to go back for lunch as soon as hubby loses the 3 pounds he gained from his colossal breakfast. :)

I visited Super Chef's for the first time over the weekend, and I was not disappointed! I always see me friends posting their delicious looking food on SnapChat and Instagram, so when I planned a visit to Columbus this place was on my list. I ordered The Hulk, the green waffle with sausage (which is actually chorizo), bacon, eggs and cheese. It was amazing! And the candied bacon gave it a really good sweet but not overly sweet for breakfast flavor. I'm usually nervous about ordering eggs at restaruants because they seem to not be real eggs, nor eggs from a carton which I've never been a fan of. But by the taste and look, I'm positive they were freshly cracked. My mom ordered The Juggernaut. It was also really good and the chicken had an amazing breading! The only thing I'd like to change about my meal is the chorizo. I have a sensitive pallet and it was a bit too spicy for me. I wish they had a regular sausage option for others like me. I could also do without the sugar at the bottom of the plate. The wait wasn't too bad when I had arrived, but after about 40 minutes the line really picked up. But that's to be expected for a place that has such amazing food! Everything on the menu looked appetizing! I'm hoping they open a location closer to Dayton, OH! PLEASE!

Great food. We went early and got seated at the bar. The bloody Mary is amazing. Best I've ever had. The waitress was really nice pretty talkative made suggestions etc. The worst part was that there was only one stall bathrooms which sucks if the place is packed and by 830 on a Saturday morning it was filling up quickly. But the food more than makes up for any inconvenience you have in a wait. Really worth the time and money. Good find just get there early.

Everything was pretty tasty! The only problem we had was that the chicken on the Juggernaut was way overcooked. It was black in spots and too tough to chew. Service was ok-it took forever to pay and there were empty tables. We might try this place again on another day to give it another shot.

We arrived at 11:00am and was told by the seemingly annoyed hostess that the wait would be 40 minutes... We saw several dirty tables, a lobby-ish full of people, and not one employee giving a damn about cleaning the empty tables to seat guests. Our 40 minute wait turned into 1 hour and 40 minutes. To our own suprise, we waited. We've wanted to try this place for months.... We finally sit, or waitress was very nice, our food came and was just disappointing, my quesadilla was filled with mostly spinachand not the seafood described on the menu. The pancakes were dry. They put a predetermined amount of toppings on it. 4 shrimp with a huge plate of grits don't justify the cost. I can't say enough about how poorly this place was operated. We will not be back.

The place was packed, and for good reason. There was about a 30 minute wait at a breakfast joint on a Saturday morning. The juggernaut. I was a little worried looking at the menu online that it would be so sweet that it would make me I'll, but this was possibly the best chicken and waffle plate I've ever had. The prices were a little high, but I'll definitely be returning!

Decided to start my birthday with brunch @ Superchefs. The waiting space is small but the wait wasn't that long. About 10 minutes, two people at 1 o'clock. We were seated at the bar. Erika, the bartender/waitress was personable, helpful and patient. From the time we placed our orders to actually receiving our food was a little long but it's not simple food. The menu is unique, the staff is great company, there are TV's and the food was certainly worth the wait.

Nothing like the down town location! The customer service, not a smiling face in the place. (glade my order was take out) I got my usual, the hulk and juggernaut, the syrup tasted generic, waffles tasted nothing like a Belgium waffle. My fried chicken tasted like the oil needed to be clean. Bottom line, my three day old turkey tasted better...

Absolutely amazing & delicious! Superchefs is a unique eatery that has a wide range of breakfast and more. They offer unique items on their menu such as pineapple upside down pancakes and waffle sandwiches. They have one of the most unique menus Columbus has to offer and it's taking the city to another level. I'm so happy my family and I got to experience such an amazing breakfast, an exceptional service. (Diamond was our server and she was excellent!) Overall, I would definitely recommend everyone trying this place. I'm sure there's something on the menu for everyone's taste buds and if you're open to trying a new experience, definitely give Superchefs a try! Enjoy!!

We went in around 8:30am on a Sunday and got right in. Shortly after we got there, it started filling up quick. The food was really good. I got the Juggernaut - Waffle Sandwiches W/ Fried Chicken, Candied Bacon, Over Medium Eggs, American & Pepper jack Cheese Topped W/ Honey Drizzle & Maple Syrup. The candied bacon was the star of the show. Like other reviews, I was worried it was going to be too sweet, but it was very well balanced. My wife got the vegetarian breakfast sandwich - Egg, Spinach, Roasted Red Peppers, Caramelized Onions, Tomatoes, Cheese, Topped W/ Mixed Greens & Honey Mustard Vinaigrette On A Toasted Croissant. She was worried she wouldn't like the Mixed Greens & Honey Mustard Vinaigrette, but said it was really good. Dishes could be considered pricey for breakfast but based on portions can be easily shared. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the coffee. But I am a bit of a coffee snob and can't really say I enjoy the coffee at any restaurant I frequent. I am eager to get back and try some of the other dishes. We had read the background of how it was founded and how they came up with the theme and it sounded neat. Not sure about the execution of the theme. Staff wore faded super hero tee-shirts like you would get at Kohl's. There was a old school video game where you come in but I don't believe it was even superhero theme. I suspect they have to be careful with using licensed DC or Marvel Comics images/logos/names, even though the names of some of the dishes were named after comic book characters

This place is amazing! I would give five stars but the service needs work. My hubby & I ventured in on a Friday morning and while there were only about three occupied tables, we still had to wait about fifteen minutes to be seated and ten more before I had to flag a waitress down to take our drink orders. I will say once our waitress came, everything worked itself out, and the food is delicious, so all is forgiven! Top dishes: the candied bacon and the baked Alaskan pancakes!! On a follow up note: our second visit was supposed to be a call ahead/carry out order--no one answered the phone, so my hubby went in person and had to wait 40 minutes for our meal! Once the business office gets it together, this place will be amazing all around!

We (2 adults, 2 children) went on a weekday morning so there was no wait. Restaurant was very clean and my kids really liked the theme. The children's breakfast portions were a perfect size and the kids really enjoyed the food. I sampled some of the pancakes and they were wonderful! They were dense and moist and perfectly cooked. My omlet was delicious and well prepared. The veggies in it were perfectly cooked and tasted fresh. Service was good.

Super disappointing. Menu too trendy, I just wanted breakfast. Ordered eggs and turkey sausage ala carte. Wanted whole wheat toast but not available. Turkey sausage is bland and pasty, I didn't eat it. Ugg! Waitress brought the Check and hovered waiting for payment. Uncomfortable.

Short: food was good, wait was long, service was crap. Long: Food was good but overpriced. Way to sweet for my taste but if that is your thing you will love the pancakes and various dishes. Service was horrible. Waited for thirty minutes (the estimated wait time, not my complaint), was seated and had to wait another fifteen minutes until our server eventually came around. We gave our full order and requested Bloody Marys. We watched the bar and the bar tender did nothing. Literally nothing. Sat behind the bar and talked to the servers and sometimes helped the bar customers. Eventually our food came out via some random guy from the back kitchen. I think then the waitress realized we didn't have drinks from across the room. At that point she went behind the bar to make them but got distracted talking to the bartender and left one half finished Bloody Mary on the bar to leave the bar and ask how our meal was tasting. We told her to cancel the Bloody Marys and she blamed the bar tender for us not getting them (this was only the second time we had seen our waitress). Won't be returning to the Gahanna location.

Fun, filling, and fattening. Very busy on a Sunday morning, but everybody was in good spirits and they handled the crowd well. The food was uniformly excellent. I'm from out of town and had never had candied bacon before. The omelets and pancakes we're really yummy.

Overall fun, original, and delicious food. Bacon is pretty chewy, but good flavor. The banana pancakes were good but too large a serving. service is very slow but the waitress was nice. Bad tasting water and gross bathrooms. Honestly I expected more decor as well.

My grandson and I went on Tuesday around 1pm. We walked right in and there were plenty of available seats. He had the Elvis waffle, which has peanut butter, banana and bacon on it. I sampled a bite and thought it was an interesting combination. It was tasty. I had the wings and waffles. The wings are a bit different with a sweet and spicy sticky sauce. They go well with the plain waffle. We both had a side of the candied bacon. It was yummy, sweet, salty and crunchy. I say if you can go during the week do it in order to beat the weekend rush. Our visit was very pleasant. I want to go back to try the shrimp and grits

Looks and sounds amazing, but there isn't the taste to back it up. I've had the Juggernaut, chicken was well overlooked and tough. Pancake sampler looked amazing, but again not much flavor...I'm all up for trying new and exciting things, however when I go here now I just settle for a plain omelette.

The food here is really great. But the service was awful. 20 minutes for a Bloody Mary (and they brag about their bloody Mary's). I'm willing to give it a go again because the food was tasty. I will keep my fingers crossed for better service.

Great idea for a restaurant, but average execution. I have been to this spot three times, and each time I have had a fairly decent experience. One cool thing to add is that the restaurant offers a free arcade Marvel game while you wait. This place is similar to the Melt in the aspect that you should avoid at all costs if you are counting calories. This place was put on this earth to satisfy your suppressed gluttony urges and to bask in the novelty superhero surroundings. PROS: - You will not leave this place hungry. I repeat, you will not leave this place hungry. - The food is fun, and is definitely appealing to look at. You will find green "Hulk" waffles, cinnamon toast crunch waffles, and dessert pancakes here. - The most satisfying meal that I've had so far is the OG pancake platter. You choose 4 of their unique pancake options (pineapple upside down, Reese's cup, blueberry lemon, etc.) to try. A fun why to try several of the menu items in one meal. - The staff is always super friendly. CONS: - The notorious wait time. This is by far the biggest reason why I give this place 3 stars. If you go for breakfast over the weekend, expect a wait time of at least 30+ minutes. Once seated, the food takes another 20+ minutes to arrive once you have placed your order. This trend has happened with all three times I have dined here. Not to mention, most of the waffles are made in advance. This makes your waffle sandwich very soggy by the time you receive your order. If the wait time is going to take as long as it does to receive your food, I believe the waffles should be made to order. The deep fried chicken (the "Juggernaut") I had was also very dry and overdone. - For being a superhero theme, the restaurant is not super kid friendly. The space is small, and again the wait time is excessively long. - Lastly, I feel the place is a bit overpriced for what you are getting. Most options are priced between $9.99 to $17.99. For a two person meal, don't expect to leave without spending at least $30 bucks. For a brunch place, it feels like a bit much. There is no denying that SuperChef has some serious potential. I hope they can fix their wait time problems and keep adding to their already creative menu. However, for now, they seem to not have found the right balance yet.

Have eaten here 3 times. Food is intensely great, colorful, and FUN! Love the superhero ambience. My kids the free video game. Kids meal is too pricey, so I let kids split adult entrees, which are great! The Hulk, the Elvis, and Shrimp & Grits are favorites. the word is out so brunch means waiting. Enjoy!

This was one of my favorite places until my last two visits. Two weeks ago I went to the one on broad st. After finally deciding what I wanted ( juggarnet) the waiter tells me they are out of chicken. I went yesterday to the gahanna location we were seated promptly. I decided once again I'd attempt to get the juggernaut. Twenty mins after placing our order the waiter comes over to assure our food would be out soon, and that the kitchen had gotten backed up. Well we decide to wait another 35 mins. Finally I see the juggernaut coming out of the kitchen only to go to another couple that was seated after we ordered our food. At this point it's like a hour since we ordered and we decided to leave. The place was not even packed. I was so disappointed. I really hate to say it but I don't think I will be back and I really hate to have to give this place such a bad review.

My boyfriend and I went there in a few weeks ago. We waited to get our tables, about an hour. We ordered our food and it takes about 30 to 45 mins to serve. The place is really nicer and bigger space than another location in downtown. It's totally worth it to have a brunch. It filled us up quickly! I suggest all of you to try it out! It's totally worth it! L

Superchefs bills itself as an adventurous, fun place to eat. I'm not sure what passes for actual fun in most restaurants these days - ogling scantily-clad waitresses, playing Keno, or watching a football game - but none of that was on the menu when I visited. Mostly I was treated to a comic-book themed menu and a wall replete with images of superheroes. WHAT FUN. After having recently visited a restaurant with maximum care and implementation of a theme (Storm Crow Tavern), this looked like the pop-up restaurant that it basically is. Perhaps the word "fun" refers to the food, which is more like a dare than a good time. Selling themselves as a place to get a happening, out of the ordinary breakfast or lunch, I concede that the food was indeed out of the ordinary, albeit in all the wrong ways. I ordered their Wings and Waffles dish - an easy staple - and was treated to a set of pretty solid (if too sticky) wings perched upon a pile of waffles that tasted like carnival elephant ears. I like elephant ears, but not for breakfast, and not when you told me I'd be having waffles. I felt like I had a pound of sugar for breakfast. If you're diabetic, skip this joint: everything is sweet, and you will die. A side of sausage was $3 and materialized before me as a single disc patty that tasted like grain-fed oats. Perhaps that's their health offering, a communion wafer of grainy meat forgiveness. I was offered a sample of the red pepper grits because I was considering ordering the shrimp and grits, which concerned me. It's red peppered grits; why do I need to sample this? Upon tasting, I realized that they've probably been getting complaints about that dish a lot. It's not bad, but it's thoroughly seasoned and not like standard grits, so consider yourselves warned. The menu is terribly overpriced, relying mostly on green Hulk-themed pancakes and similarly named-yet-ultimately-lacking fare. If breakfast costs you $30 you better walk out of their satisfied. I did not. On top of all that, it took too long to get the food. In the end, this is one of those places that tries too hard to impress by being different and leans too much into how it can stand out and not on mastering the fundamentals. It was hard to get anything resembling a regular breakfast, which may be their selling point, but means you won't eat there regularly if you care about your teeth. It will better impress people who never venture out of their typical diet. Or better, this is the kind of place a non-cooking parent takes a kid who eats Sugar Smacks every day when they want to give them a warm meal for once and not have an argument in the car. I'm so hopped up on sugar right now I wrote this whole review using my newly discovered mutant ability of typing with my eyeballs. Seriously, I smashed through the brick wall of a Kinkos to type this review.

PAINFULLY SLOW! 45 minutes to get a table and 1 hour and 15 minutes to get our food. We spoke with the manager, and he was marginally apologetic. His response was, "Sorry, wish I could say it never happens, but I can't because it happens often." NO thanks. I have better ways to spend my time and better places to eat. The food here LOOKS good, but really the taste of the food is absolutely average. Not worth the time or money.

the slow service, and portion vs price really make me shy away from this new and really popular business. Took about 45-60 minutes to receive eggs and waffles after being seating at 3pm on a Saturday with no wait.

Not sure what all the 5 star reviews are all about for this place. The Super hero concept is a really neat idea, but all in all the experience wasn't that great. They appear to be working out some of the kinks service wise. We were quoted 45 minutes for a table, but it was no where near they time. We were going to go grab a drink at the BWs in the same complex, but good thing we didn't as the table was ready in more like 15 minutes. With no pagers or text system in place we would have missed our table. Once seated, the server was very friendly and helpful with the menu. We ordered and waited 30 minutes or more for the food. You usually don't see that with breakfast places. When the food arrived, it was good, not amazing, and definitely over priced. It seemed like the whole menu is way over priced. Since the place didn't have a full liquor license I couldn't get my normal bloody mary and went with a Founders Breakfast Stout, but wish I wouldn't have. Love the beer, but not for $10 a 12oz bottle. All in all it is OK food that is way over priced for what it is. Not sure I'll be coming back.

Had breakfast this morning at this great restaurant. I hsd the super cinnamon waffle crunch, a friend had the excellent salmon omelet, and another had chicken wings and waffle. Excellent food with great service. Worth the wait on tje weekends. Going back to try lunch. All of us agree that this place hits a home run.

Soooooo good! First time here! Thursday morning got waited on instantly! Pictures in from of the windows seemed a bit silly but I was game! Turns out they helped a lot with ordering! The food was well presented on the plates and properly seasoned! My wife got the hulk! A favorite amongst the patrons! She loved it! I like spicy food so I got The Heat omelet and was not disappointed! Vary rarely do I find myself not adding tobacco sauce! I loved every second of it and price was on point! I will be back!

"SUPER CHEF" Mehh. Nothing was super about this place. I never have left a review on any place before but felt the need to be a voice for the many other upset customers that experience bad service today. Honestly, I don't even know where to begin... I walk in with my family to be greeted with a populous small congested place. No hostess to seat you or give you a 'wait time'. People were literally standing at the door with not a clue of what was going on and no one had yet to seat them or tell them anything about a wait time. [that was the first red flag] I wanted to support new businesses and also minority, so I stuck around wanted to try out the food. Finally, we seat down... Complete chaos! Customers are complaint and yelling at the TWO. Yes. Two only servers working about their food and service. [second red flag] We order are food and it comes out 33 minutes later. Food wasn't good at all. Kitchen was backed up and by the taste of the food I can tell. Red velvet pancakes were over done.. Customers were arguing with the servers.. I really felt bad for the servers because this place is just not manage well. There are sooo many things to complain about. I really wish I had something good to say about this place other than the scenery was nice.. They really need to hire more staff.. It was sad. I will never go there again... Service is what it should always be about and this place by far is the epitome of what bad service looks like.

Very disappointed in the service and the quality of my food. It was a Friday night and this was my first time going during the dinner hour. I have previously ate there with no problem during lunch. The candy bacon is amazing! This particular day I decided to try the wings and fries. The wings weren't done and they lacked seasoning. They did make me a new batch without apology for the first batch of wings. The second order of wings were worse than the original order. They only had two waitresses working. The blonde waitress from the other table section was great and far more helpful than the waitress assigned to work our table. Also the dress attire for the waitresses was inappropriate for a family style restaurant. Our waitress wore body hugging leggings and construction boots. Given the quality of service and food that night, I'm in no rush to visit Superchef anytime soon.

This place might be great for pancakes, but not anything else. I had the sausage and cheese omelette. It was dreadful. Every part of it was overcooked. The sausage was dry, the omelette itself was way over done, flavorless and rubbery. I think there was supposed to be cheese in there, but I couldn't find it. The best part about the meal was the toast (which is basically skillet-fried bread) that they only just added to the menu due to customer demand. The towers of pancakes looked great and people seemed to like them, but since I am not a pancake person... I will not be back!

The food was incredible. The bar tender was very personable. We will definitely be going back there for brunch. The way they incorporate the marvel theme into the restaurant and food is unlike anything I have ever seen. I had the terminator sandwich and my wife had the storm quesadilla with their Bloody Mary!

Often a long wait that can have you standing outside and your food won't come super fast once you order it. But I am rating it a 5 star because it is absolutely the best breakfast food I have ever eaten. We have had waffles, pancakes, omelettes and all of it is absolutely amazing. The hash browns are even the best I have ever had. If you haven't ever been... I highly suggest you go.

I love this place! We've had his food in Louisville, KY and when I was in Columbus I had to try his new restaurant. I love the cinnamon toast crunch patient and the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. The beignets are so amazing. I can't wait for them to come back! Definitely worth checking out.

My husband and I have been fans of the original location downtown for quite some time. To get me to drive from the burbs to downtown on a weekend morning is a large feat, but Super Chef's doesn't disappoint! I am very happy that they have expanded and cut my drive time for a Hulk sandwich in half. This is my go to weekend breakfast spot. Everything I have tried is delicious. I recommend splitting the pancakes or waffles with an omelet or sandwich because they are super sweet. Also, don't forget to calculate in some wait time for a table. Especially if you have a larger party. This location does however have a 'bar top' that is convenient for singles or couples. If you haven't been, you must try... uniquely different from your typical Bob Evans breakfast.

I have wanted to try this place since it opened downtown. I heard that the food was good but many times they do not have enough staff and so service was not the best. Finally a friend from out of town wanted to go today so we went to the Gahanna location since it is closer to me. We arrived at 2pm to find the door locked although they don't close until 4pm. There were people exiting. The lady told me as she walked out the door that they closed early because they were running out of items and didn't have waffles or pancakes--both of which are a HUGE part of their menu! I want to support minority businesses, but when you do not offer good quality service, I can't.

Red velvet pancakes! Yum!!! My husband had the superchef omelet which was a generous portion and tasty. I had the juggernaut... it was ok. I was expecting more flavor. I can't wait to go back and try all the other pancake flavors...will have to bring more people so we can get the super pancake platter!

The food was above average, but the service was severely lacking. The host wasn't assertive or friendly, but passive and whispering at me. The tables were somewhat cleaned, but not as clean as I would like. My burger was served on a plate covered in BBQ sauce, so I had nowhere on my plate to place the burger after taking the first bite and spilling BBQ sauce off of the burger onto the only clear part if my plate. Puting my burger down at this point would create a sticky mess when I take the next bite. Holding onto my burger the entire time made eating the fries and drinking difficult. And don't ask for lemon with your water, they don't have any. Our waiter failed at refilling drinks and took 15 minutes to bring our bills and run my credit card. The atmosphere in the restairant wasn't welcoming or comforting. For the prices they charge, there are much better places to go.

Food and super hero concept were cute. Maybe even up the ante and have the super heroes on the plates. Food came out quickly and looked and tasted good. Good combination of flavors. With plenty of tvs and nice beer selections, they should just expand the menu and hours and voila, they'd have a super hero bar/pub. The waiting area was tiny and overcrowded. We waited 40 minutes, but went to run an errand. Texting/paging system would help. Food prices were a bit pricey.

The atmosphere is way fun on Saturday with live music jam & packed with people. Our wait was going to be an hour and I had an appt so we went back on an off day and was seated right away. We sat at the bar and it was a little bare- seems to need some more decor love. The food was delicious, lots of flavor. My husband got the hulk waffle sandwich and he gave it an A+ but sad to report there was a large black hair in it. Looked like beard hair gross- but I had the heat omelet which was spicy and hair free.

We visited for breakfast - about 7:45 Saturday Morning. While there were only a couple of other tables occupied, the service was still slow. The food was pretty good, but nothing special.... an omelette plate and eggs with potatoes. The Menu appeared to be targeted toward Waffles and Pancakes - no really healthy items. Comic book theme was cute. No coffee refills were offered. With 20% tip we spent $30 for two meals...not a bargain...

This place is absolutely AMAZING. The food, the staff & the cleanliness all very IMPORTANT things to me. It's not your typical breakfast joint, that you're used to. It's a little pricey BUT you get what you pay for whenever I come back to this area I'll eat here!!

Pancakes as in the downtown location are excellent. I had the blueberry pancakes and this is the only time ever that I did not need syrup to enjoy a pancake. Very creative in their dishes- my wife loved the the pineapple upside down pancake. Although the prices are high for the dishes with multiple pancakes I think they are reasonable and comparable to other restaurants when you get a single order of two- more than enough to fill you up. Our server Kelvin was super nice and checked in to see that we were pleased with our meal. We will be back.

We got the chicken and waffles. I was expecting crunchy chicken wings and waffles like I have had many places and love!! These wings were saucy so it was difficult to eat because you were a sticky mess. Wings by themselves were good, but didn't love this combination. I would go back and get other breakfast items which looked amazing! Red pepper grits were so so .

Stopped in on Saturday around noon and was pretty blown away by how packed they were. Okay, no biggie, we'll wait. Mistake. It was 15 minutes before we got seated, and another 5 before someone came to the table to offer us water. While I appreciated them leaving some water on the table, this probably wouldn't have been necessary if they opted for bigger water glasses--the glasses themselves were a cool shape but maybe 4-5 ounces tops, which was an excellent example of why one shouldn't always choose form over function. I ordered the shrimp and roasted red pepper grits, which our waitress informed me were savory and not sweet--which I assumed, because I've eaten grits before and have never had sweet grits at a restaurant and, more importantly, the roasted peppers and shrimp part was a pretty big tip off. I regretted ordering this nonetheless. While the grits were perfectly cooked and I enjoyed the red pepper flavor infusion, there were literally 5 small shrimp in a little cocktail cup in the center of a puddle of about 2 pounds of grits. I would put the volume of shrimp to grits at 1:10, easily. My tip for the restaurant would be to give maybe 8 shrimp, less grits, and play with an interesting sauce to drizzle over the plate. Once the shrimp were gone, it was just 10 minutes of scraping rapidly-congealing, dry grits off the plate. This needed a sauce in the worst way and was simply not worth the $13.50 price tag (I believe this is literally my only Yelp review where I have ever mentioned a price, that's how underwhelmed I was). Hubby had "The Juggernaut," which he enjoyed highly. It's an egg, cheese, chicken and bacon sandwich on waffles. He picked the meat off one piece and let me try it--this one I enjoyed. However, we both agreed that the whole experience was simply not worth the wait or price. Breakfast is a tough game, I know, but the whole thing felt so "meh" that I doubt I'd return. On a completely unrelated note, I have no idea why there were so many children there. Other than one wall having a Marvel comics mural, and some of the dishes being super-hero themed (which I doubt kids would even appreciate), it seemed odd to have so many kids there. Maybe that's just kid-free me talking, but at $8 a pop for kids meals, it seemed odd that like a solid 20% of seats were kids under 10. Overall, there are numerous good breakfast/lunch options just up the road off Morse. If we're in the area that time of the day again, we'd go elsewhere.

When sucking down a deep fried Snickers doesn't quite fill you with enough sugar. When you think your butt should grow big enough to take up two seats on an airplane. When you think Paula Deen needs to cool it with the low fat recipes. When your kids haven't bounced off quite enough walls for you. When you think IHOP and Scrambler Marie's have just gone too far with the good-for-you foods. For all these reasons and more, there's Super Chef's. So come on down and enjoy Richard Simmons' every waking nightmare. Gaze at the wonder that is a Reese's peanut butter cup jammed between each thick pancake on your plate. Rejoice in the sugar explosion that is a pancake smothered in banana pudding and then drowned in a chocolate sauce. Jump in giddiness when served four ginormous pancakes stuffed with every breakfast food you can imagine and then sunk into a lake of maple syrup. Or maybe dine on the red velvet pancakes - smooched with a cream cheese whipped topping in between each hotcake. I speak in hyperbole, of course. But, not by much. Let's put it this way: if you think Americans just aren't fat enough, you will love this place. But not for me. No thank you. *This coming from a guy who can down a whole pizza inside of 24 hours.

This is a cool restaurant. I stopped in last week for lunch and was really tempted to sacrifice any afternoon productivity and try their Juggernaut or Hulk waffle sandwiches. I thought better of it and "only" had 10 wings and fries. The fries were spot on: fresh cut, skin on, golden fried, still firm, and with a soft potato center. My wing order was 1/2 naked and 1/2 sweet chili. They weren't as lightly golden as the pictures which worried me that the oil they were fried in was old, but the taste eased my concerns. The wings were medium in size and cooked perfectly. After adding a little salt, the plain wings were great with a side of hot sauce. The sweet chili wings were as advertised: covered in a sweet glaze with a tiny little kick. I may ask on my next visit if I can add more heat, but I was very happy as I ate the version presented. The server was nice. She forgot a couple things but was very apologetic. I'll definitely be back if the lines aren't too long.

Wow! You want pancakes? You'll get 'em! I'd been to other breakfast establishments but none of them awed me as this place. I had the Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes and orange juice. Let me just say that I've never had a stack of pancakes that high! And they tasted so good! The menu has a good variety. Staff were nice and helpful. My waitress loved our reactions to our order. The place was clean. Maybe the tables were a little close and the noise level was a little high. But it was worth it and I'll visit for more of those pancakes. I will warn you that if you visit the Gahanna branch, parking is a challenge. But again, worth it.

I was anxious to try this brunch spot because I'd heard about from several people. The restaurant itself is small, with limited seating which can make for a wait time. The theme is super heroes which is very cool, even some of the dishes are named after them. The food was very good, I highly recommend the grits! We got the superchef omelet which was tasty! The pancake platter sampler is a must try. Although the pancakes could stand to be fluffier, the red velvet, blueberry, banana bread, & Reese cup flavors are decadent! There's a full bar & the bloody Mary's looked fab. I'll definitely be back!

SuperChef's is a great concept, the food is great (usually - I definitely recommended the assorted pancake option!), but it can be hit-or-miss on some items. I wouldn't order the smoked salmon omelette again, but the pancakes are phenomnomnom & I can't discredit that. Cool concept & I love that the staff wears superhero shirts, offers entertainment on multiple TVs, but the wait can be killer. I would probably choose other breakfast/brunch joints in the future, but it's good if you're not in a hurry. (Or if they would start offering reservations, waiting outside for 30+ minutes can be a bit much.)

I am officially Disappointed in everyone who has been to SuperChefs and not told me to get over there ASAP. They're a breakfast and lunch place, primarily, and it doesn't look like too much from the strip mall exterior unless you happen to get close enough to look at their menu items posted in the windows. I don't quite know how to describe them - there's a bit of a soul food vibe, but also a nice diner flair, and everything's dressed up with a superhero theme. "Capes and Crepes" is probably a wee bit too precious, but it's kinda accurate! There's fun superhero graphics of all your favorite characters on the walls, a Marvel vs. Capcom standup arcade machine by the door set to free play for when you're waiting for a table, a full bar, and the service was very friendly and helpful - though I will admit it could have been a little faster. When I saw there was a menu item called "The JUGGERNAUT" (red velvet waffles, fried chicken cutlet, eggs, bacon, and sweet and spicy maple sauce) I had to try it - and it was great! The only "meh" thing was a side of strawberry dipping sauce they included. It was OK, but I didn't think it quite went with the sandwich. More of the "maple heat" sauce would have gone better in my book. Prices are a bit high, but the portions make up for it - that sandwhich I mentioned is a whole waffle, probably a good half pound of chicken, and two eggs that died a worthy death to provide the meal. If you like Super Heroes, fun food, and a place with a good energy to start your day, hit SuperChefs right now, and don't miss out!

We went at 9:30am on a Tuesday, so not packed. Shannon was our EXCEPTIONAL server...ask for her if she's there. The food was good and they were accommodating with special requests. I had the Super Chef's Omelet; my nephew had the "Batman" which he loved. A little pricey, but not overly.

Great place for kids and adults! The kids love the Super Hero themed menu and the food is great to boot! Not cheap but a fun experience. Will be back for sure. I had the OG Pancake Platter. My wife had the Shrimp & Roasted Pepper Grits w/Cheese. Both were fantastic!

Coolest place to eat breakfast. Kids enjoyed all the menu options and the breakfast pizza was awesome. Waffle, egg and bacon sandwiches were huge and incredible. While in Columbus Easton area this place is a must visit. Especially if you have kids who enjoy comic book heroes...

loved it. Great flavors. Chicken wasn't the best but the waffles are. Tooties has better flavor in the chicken. a little pricy but since they put a twist on it I can see the 30% markup.

Had a great experience there but i think next time ill try something more daring. I played it safe with the feta cheese and spinach omelet but i cant wait to go back and try something else. A great place to have brunch and relax.

Great spot for family, friends and boss! Food is great, staff is great and it brings so much love to the Gahanna area. Price is good for what you get, tasteful food and great music. It's a must for visitors coming to Columbus, Ohio.

Pros: Very fun and unique foods. Affordable prices. Great tasting meals. Turkey bacon and sausage as alternative to pork. Waiters are nice and attentive. Clear window to watch chefs preparing food which is fun for kids. Good sized menu with many options. Clean bathroom. Cons: Parking on street. Seating is limited. Area is cramped. As a result of the space being small the restaurant is very loud. Orange juice is not fresh--in 1 gallon jug and is the kind you buy for 2.00 from Kroger or any other supermarket. Review: I visited this restaurant for the first time today with my husband and three kids. When we got there it wasn't very busy but it quickly filled up--and became very loud. My 7 year old and 9 year old who were sitting across the table couldn't hear anything I was saying without me shouting, which quickly became exhausting. But on the up side, the food here is pretty good. I had an omelet which came with hash browns and a salad, and we also ordered some waffles, which was fun. I noticed the superhero theme this place has with the menu item names and the waiters all wearing some kind of superhero t-shirt. The waffle portions are large and easily shareable. I would go back in the future.

Hubby and I tried this place out at the recommendation of a friend. We were both underwhelmed. We had heard it was superhero themed, which we were excited about, but there is a wall of superhero paintings and a pinball machine and that's all. They could do a lot more with the space and such an exciting theme. Staff seemed annoyed with us for arriving at 7:04 when they open at 7 (hey, I work night shift). However, our waitress was nice. Food was expensive-- I got pancakes for $11.50 and hash browns for $2. Hubby got waffles for $12 and 2 (!!!) Eggs for $4. Food was underwhelming for the price. My pancakes were bland and not exciting, and the hash browns tasted frozen. Could've gotten much better food at less than half the price at Scramblers, First Watch, Bob Evans, etc.

If they had good coffee instead of brown water, this place would be the best breakfast in Columbus. The wife had the shrimp and grits and almost managed to eat the entire humongous plate. I had the blue berry pancakes and threw in the towel after only eating 4 out of 8 that I was given. They didn't even need the syrup that I was given. The lemon curd that was between each pancake was plenty of sweetness. Like I said, the only downfall was the coffee. I'm no coffee snob, I drink Maxwell House at home, but this was almost like drinking hot water. Fix that and they'll have a customer for life.

We have been back 3 more times since the opening, we've had several family members and friends want to check it out. Service keeps getting better as does the ticket times. I'm very impressed with this small local business. I wish it well. My only recommendation is to have some "healthy" options. The best way to keep the $$ coming in is to have regulars and their food will clog the arteries eaten too often. Recommend folks try this place!

This place never disappoints me! Everything is amazing. Not healthy that's for sure but I will come here as my cheat meal for the week.

(5)Austi W.
(4)John M.

(4)Danielle S.

(2)Anna C.
Really good food. A nice change from Firts Watch or Scrambler Marie's. However, the food served doesn't always match up to what is described on the menu. Also...no unsweetened iced tea? Seriously?
(3)Whitney D.
(5)Daniela Z.
It's a fun spot. I'm not sold on the food 6/10 for me.
(3)Lisa S.
(5)Beverly R.
Hands down the best pancakes I have ever had. Their batter is made fresh daily. Great service too!!! Love love love this place. The theme is super heroes and it is relaxed and hip without being pretentious. Family friendly and just a fun awesome place!!
(5)Erik And Jennifer H.
(5)Molly K.
(5)Sarah W.
(2)Jason L.
(1)Sarah P.

(5)LJ W.

(4)Hung C.

(4)Anthony F.
(4)Blake L.
(2)Joyce T.
(3)Elena J.
Omg I had brunch here this afternoon and wow talk about fantastic!!!! I can now say I know what all the rave is about... Delish food and plan to return before I leave Ohio next week
(5)Divya R.
(2)MITCH S.
I wish i could give Super Chef 10 stars. From the moment you walk in the restaurant until you leave you will have a giant smile on your face. The décor is festive, original and extremely creative. The menu is much the same. I had the wings and waffles and my wife had an egg white omelet with a side of the most delicious bacon I have ever eaten.(I usually don't eat bacon) The portions were crazy large and the prices were more than fair. I noticed they have a full bar, but I just could not see ordering a cocktail with breakfast. Hopefully they will eventually have a dinner menu so I could make use of the bar.

(4)Katie A.
Everything was pretty tasty! The only problem we had was that the chicken on the Juggernaut was way overcooked. It was black in spots and too tough to chew. Service was ok-it took forever to pay and there were empty tables. We might try this place again on another day to give it another shot.
(4)Kara S.
(2)Thomas H.
(5)Amy H.
Second review of this place. Basically my mind was blown when I had the chicken & waffles this morning. My goal is to try something different each time. The candied bacon is still a must!!!
(5)Courtney B.
(4)Gary S.
(2)Helen B.

(4)Mark D.
(1)Joe S.

(5)Tim A.
Overall fun, original, and delicious food. Bacon is pretty chewy, but good flavor. The banana pancakes were good but too large a serving. service is very slow but the waitress was nice. Bad tasting water and gross bathrooms. Honestly I expected more decor as well.
(3)Deb R.
(5)Danielle B.
This is my favorite breakfast spot!!! Everything on the menu is great!!! I'm a regular now lol!!!
(5)Justin K.
(2)Caroline P.

(3)Diane M.

(1)Jenny T.

(1)Barbara D.
(1)Phil P.
the slow service, and portion vs price really make me shy away from this new and really popular business. Took about 45-60 minutes to receive eggs and waffles after being seating at 3pm on a Saturday with no wait.
(2)Miguel D.
I'm happy i found a new breakfast place. The food was really good and the service was great kid friendly and a creative menu definitely coming back
(5)Todd S.
(3)Danielle F.
(5)Daniel S.

(1)Tina T.
Thoroughly enjoyed my wings and waffles yesterday! I also enjoyed the candied bacon. I LOVE bacon!!!It was my first time there but definitely not my last.
(4)Monica J.
(1)Jaclyn N.
(2)James O.
The food was incredible. The bar tender was very personable. We will definitely be going back there for brunch. The way they incorporate the marvel theme into the restaurant and food is unlike anything I have ever seen. I had the terminator sandwich and my wife had the storm quesadilla with their Bloody Mary!
(5)Derek H.
(5)Susan K.
(5)Devon S.
(5)Yolanda O.
(1)L E.
(5)Ron G.
(1)Jeremy K.
(4)Cierra R.
(4)Keith A.
(2)Marcus E.
This place is absolutely AMAZING. The food, the staff & the cleanliness all very IMPORTANT things to me. It's not your typical breakfast joint, that you're used to. It's a little pricey BUT you get what you pay for whenever I come back to this area I'll eat here!!
(5)Anibal B.
I came to super chef every body talked about it but there customer service suckered balls no one acknowledged us no hi no nothing if we're spending money damn a little bit of good customer service should be automatic I work hard for my money never again
(3)Edward E.
(4)Stacey B.
(3)Carly W.

Looks like the hostess is gone! Back to amazing food and stellar service! I go with a friend every week as our catch up lunch. It won't disappoint. The portions are huge but delicious! And the mimosa is sooooo good!
