Visiting the university out here and decided to eat here instead of the big chain restaurants in the same area. Well that was the best choice I have made in a long time. Food cooked to order, vegetables cooked right, baked potato HUGE, and banging fresh salad with awesome house made Italian dressing. Will be stopping here every time we visit our kids school.

For a grillhouse/steakhouse this place is terrible at preparing a steak. I have tried 4 different steaks here and each one has either been charred so bad it was blackened, under cooked or over cooked. Most recently my medium filet mignon came out rare and when I sent it to be fixed it came back well done. For destroying the steak the manager took off less than half the price, not the whole uneaten steak, no, just 48%. That aside, the place does have some good prime rib. Avoid the steak and you should be fine here. Just don't expect much from the manager if there is a mistake with your order.

Terrible steak... Almost inedible. All gristle. Server was good. Atmosphere is nice. Don't bother!

Vegetables were under cooked and the medium steak was over cooked. The service was friendly but the food was well below average.

Just ate here. And it was pretty good. I have no complaints. I would eat here again.

The meal was very ordinary. The steak special for Easter tasted like a precooked and then warmed up roast (no seasoning). Also They didn't have thousand island dressing and instead just brought my wife Italian dressing what??? Pretty unimpressive meal.

We ate there tonight. Steaks need to be seasoned more. Bourbon chicken was very moist. Service was very good.

I've read the other reviews and I can't speak for the steaks, seafood, or soup. It was a group of 4 of us and one had the mushroom burger, two had the peppercorn burger, and I had the cheddar melt burger. They were all perfectly cooked with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and a pickle on the side. The fries were good as well. I thought the warm bread and maple butter were excellent. Our server, Jess, did a great job as we switched our orders midway through ordering. Just a great experience. So can't speak for the other items but the burgers are on point.

Best lunch i have had in a while Steak actually cooked properly is an amazing thing to me. So getting a rare steak at a road side steak house that was actually cooked properly is an instant perk. Food was far better than expected at the price point. Granted there was small room for improvement in the sides and seasoning but all in all a very acceptable experience.

Good 3 star place. Good bar. Food is good enough. Had the 8oz sirloin with asparagus. Don't set the bar too high.

Wow, what a disappointment. I travel weekly and get sick of chain restaurants. So I asked the person at the front desk at the hotel. I had French onion soup, house salad, and NY strip. The soup had zero flavor, the salad was out of a bag. The steak was cooked spot on, but had no flavor. Everything was completely under seasoned. What a shame, big indicator should have been the dozen toppings you could get on your steak..... This is my first review and have used yelp all over the country and should have listened.

Lots of negative reviews for Steve's Dakota grill. I stopped in while on business. Service was very good . Adequate beer selection. Steak done perfectly. Good value all in all. I'd come here again

hmmmm - can't go lower than a single star - go figure!?? (this is NOT a steak house - Outback, Longhorn, Findlay Inn... almost any place that serves steak in Findlay can serve you an 'OK' steak at a reasonable price)

Food was okay, but not what I would expect for an outdoor themed restraint. If you've been to the Big Buck Brewery, Boone's Long Lake in or the Buckhead Mountain Grill you will be disappointed. The steak was cooked well, but underseasoned, the chips with the articoke dip had way too much garlic (and I love galic), they were out of stuffed shrimp so my wife went with stuff tilapia and it was not an appealing combination. And the worst was a terrible martinin, quotes as priemium with stuffed olives, pimentos were not the stuffing I expected. Overall not an experience I am interested in repeating.

I have one friend that refuses to eat there due to the stuffed animals that watch you eat. The service is hit or miss and the food is marginal at best. It's surprising that even their maple butter is coming under fire, because I thought that was one of the constant things they had going for them. Not a good sign, Steve. Not good at all. Their Cabin Fries are abysmal, and the menu is just too much for the quality provided. I'd drive across the I-75 bridge and hit Outback, before I would entertain the possibility of dining here again.

1st off - I sat in the bar to try to benefit from happy hour specials, not at a table. MENU: The menu looked like any other steakhouse - very generic: meat/potato items. If you've been to Roadhouse or Longhorn or Lonestar, you've seen what's cooking here. Nothing out of the ordinary. PRICE: Since I went to the bar area there were some happy hour specials worth looking at: half price appetizers were a plus. Also, 1.50 off drinks was a selling point. They also seem to offer a daily/weekly special on a steak dinner for $8.99. That's what I ordered, and it was a good value. Quality: The steak was good & tender and it came with a salad, mashed potato and onion straws. Again, I got deja vu - this time I caught images of being at a Damon's... BAR: I'm a beer guy, so I was interested in having a cold one after a long day. So I was surprised to hear her say they only have bottled beer - and don't have draught beer. Who doesn't have draught beer any more? Their selection of bottled beer was varied but not inspiring - again, this is a generic experience. ATMOSPHERE: The ambiance was that of a contrived old west - rough cut rodeo bunk house - with generic artifacts inspiring you (and failing) to imagine you're out at Steve's (?) ranch in the Dakota's - I guess.... SERVICE: The service was prompt and courteous, but the bartender and the staff seemed to want to be somewhere else and were rather obvious about it as they mingled with each other between customers. I'm OK with that but maybe keep it in the kitchen or somewhere the customers won't hear you. SUMMARY: If you're in the mood for some meat and in the area, it's worth a try, but I'm not going back - there are too many other options around, and I'd like something more memorable on it's own merits rather than a knock off of every other steakhouse.

This restaurant was okay, nothing special. We started with a basket of rolls that came with maple butter. The rolls were good, but we weren't crazy about the maple butter. The ribs were ok, but didn't fall off the bone. My daughter ordered the stuffed shrimp and really enjoyed it. The baked potatoes were huge. My husband ordered the scrod and was disappointed in the portion size. He liked the fish, but wanted more than 1 piece. The mixed vegetables were not quite done enough. The atmosphere was pleasant and the waiter was attentive and friendly.
