Grace and Company, the restaurant was renamed as Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar. Later the company and the Applebee's concept changed hands with Abe Gustin and John Hamra who started the first Applebee's franchise restaurant in Kansas City.
Later in 2007, IHOP Corp. now known as DineEquity, Inc. acquired Applebee's and began their journey together to make Applebee's the world's largest full-service restaurant chain. Great appetizers especially if you make it before 7pm on weeknights 1/2 off. I recommend chicken chunks, cheddar fries were great, pretzel sticks are amazing. I've also had French onion soup - . Pizza is pretty good. A lot of food for good prices. Family friendly. Had to wait awhile to be seated on a Saturday. Nothing out of the ordinary.

They are known for their pizza so I tried the Chicago style. FANTASTIC! Great beer selection and atmosphere! Highly recommended!

Traveling and just wanted to walk from the hotel. If you know this exit, you also know that leaves Outback or BBP. I know the pizza is really good from my singular previous visit, and that the beer selection will have something to meet my high-maintenance, anti-hop, uber anti-IPA taste. BBP is closer to the Hilton Garden Inn. Done. Laura, at the bar, is swamped, but she's smiling and taking care of business. She gets to me, I warn her it may take me a minute and a couple of questions, but she's present. I was great with the bottle of Dirty Bastard (a tasty Scotch Ale) when she takes the time to recommend the GreatLakes Red ale (forget the name), gimme a taste -- awesome. The same thing happened wit my dinner selection. I gave her an eclelectic list: off menu chicken sammie, 2 different pizzas, a rueben and, yes, lettuce wraps. She actually had the cahones to talk me into the lettuce wraps. I'm Big'n tall, too, if you know what I mean. She even had the nerve to tell me I wouldn't still be hungry. The meal was really good. It really filled me up. It wasn't any dish I'd compare with any high-end creation but it was, like I said, really good. This review is 4-stars because the food (and beer) were really good, which usually would only earn 3-stars for "that should be expected", but mainly because LAURA served as my guide -- and she did a darn fine job of it.

Had spaghetti and meatballs. Great meal Have gotten pizza take out from there a few times too. Food always hot and fresh. The drive thru feature is awesome. Where else can you pick up a 6 pack and quality Togo food? No where. Great times. Check it out.

As always the happy hour pricing is perfect. $7.99 for a pound of perfection chicken chunks and $3.99 for the best cheese fries in town. Service at the bar is quick and friendly. We always feel welcomed when we walk in. We recommend any of the food as the menu is huge and it's all tasty. Stop in and enjoy the clean restaurant, friendly service and great food you will not regret it.

I rarely ever lay over in Ohio since nothing is more than a three hour drive, but due to a very early morn appointment, I decided to bunk up in Findlay. Within walking distance of my hotel was the Beer Barrel, I I decided to try the local fare. To start, they have a really good happy hour, with drinks and food on supremely good specials. The service there is very good - I say at the bar, and Ashley was Lights-Out excellent. She did not ever let anyone's drink get too low. Finally, I got an Italian oven baked sub to go. Now, I consider myself an Italian sub aficionado, and this was around the best I have had. The bread was perfect, it had copious amounts of peppers, and it was stacked just right. Absolutely zero to complain about. If I am passing thru again in the future, this a must stop.

Very nice restaurant. I had the Southwest chicken salad which was very good. The only issue I had was the small salad bowl that was not large enough for me to mix every thing. Definitely will come back during my next visit to Findlay.

Excellent service even when busy. The boneless chicken bites appetizer was the best I've ever had. The chicken Caesar wrap was also very tasty. The Reuben is also highly recommended by me. Swag.

My family and I have are here 4 times now and really enjoy the food. So, want to know why the reason for 4 stars? We had one waitress who should not be on the floor and we have problems with their "Good Food Card" and zero contact from the cards web site... Did I mention we really enjoyed the food?...
(4)Gracie H.
Great atmosphere. I noticed a lot of people said it's super loud, but compared to like BDubs or Frickers, it's not really loud at all. The food is incredible! And my boyfriend raved about all the beer choices! PLUS they have tabletop s'mores which is just awesome!!!
(4)Demetreus R.
Second time here. Loved the Ruben, so this time I had a shrimp pizza. Very good for what it was worth. Of course not New Jersey pizza but I would eat here often. Waitress was cute and freindly.
(4)Michael S.
Food is usually pretty good, if not fantastic. Service is usually pretty good too, even when they are busy.
(4)Matt D.
Great food great outdoor patio ...food took a bit to get it...but all in all good times
(3)Toby W.
The only reason I didn't give this place five stars is because it is so loud. Great food bar type atmosphere TVs are often too loud. Really enjoy the pizza have tried several of the appetizers everything is very very good. Well worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood.

I couldn't get too excited about my visit here. Anything with random crap mounted on the walls doesn't excite me as it once did. I think the last time was in the early 90s. Regardless, I get the same vibes off of this place as I do Texas Roadhouse concerning the decor. The menu's different, of course. My lunch consisted of the Italian Sausage Special and a Yuengling. It wasn't packed, and it took longer than I had anticipated to get my drink (~10 minutes) and my food (~35 minutes). It was lunchtime; I didn't have a whole time to spend. I might have chosen dinnertime to dine there, if I realized it would have been that much of a tight squeeze. The Italian sausage wasn't the greatest, and the marinara sauce made the bun too soggy to be enjoyable. I was a little disappointed in that. To be on the fair side, I'd like to stop by and try their pizza. There's enough talk about it, and it wouldn't hurt to try it once. Maybe I'll update the review after I've tried it.
(2)Randal R.
Great draft beer selection and foo sports bar atmosphere. Pizza was great - enjoyed a thin crust custom pie. Had the Great Lakes Christmas ale with a cinnamon sugar rimmed glad (nice touch) and blue moon ale. This was a Sunday evening with football on the big screen but not so loud hat we could not enjoy conversation with our dining companions. Our of town and would come here again
(4)Paul T.
It's a pizza place, they have excellent beer on-tap. Not sure what the expectations of negative reviews were but it seems like they're being harsh. Perhaps they are more Beverly Hills than Findlay blue collar? Who knows...
(4)Mike H.
Too busy. Understaffed. We were told only a 20 minute wait. We had to leave after waiting 60 minutes. Don't go when it is busy. Seems like the ratings are getting worse instead of improving over time? Very loud and noisy too!
(1)T H.
Food's good, but stick to with their pizza if you want to really enjoy your meal.
(4)Shawn J.
My wife ate there last week and stated the food was good but pricey. When she checked her bill she noticed she was over charged $10. She called them and they looked into it. They then refunded the money with no apology or anything, other than stating that the waiter wrote in an additional tip for themselves. I will never return.
(1)Steve L.
Beer and service was good. Do not buy hummus from a pizza joint, bad choice. Ordered a margherita pizza, very bland. A zesty saugage pizza and meat pizza was ordered also. A little better. May give them another chance, but with Jac & Do's just around the corner might be tough to go back. I think its pricey also
(2)Tom C.
We waited two hours for a table and had other groups sat in front of us because they knew the person up front. Then we sat down and it took twenty minutes to get a drink order taken. We still haven't had our food order taken yet.

I went quite a bit the first few weeks it opened up and as always there are going to be a lot of kinks to work out when opening a new restaurant. I actually really enjoy the thin crust pizzas and some of the subs. Their thin crust pizzas are great; flavorful and different. I wasn't a huge fan of the Chicago style pizza...especially because it's basically pan crust, not Chicago style. The food isn't exactly unique but it's a lot better than your typical pizza/sub shop. It's a pretty fun atmosphere, however, it can be annoyingly loud in there for a sit down restaurant.
(4)Don P.
Food was great. Service was great even though it was jam packed. Didn't get 5 stars because of the blinding sun coming through the window with no way to block it. It was like looking straight into the sun for 20 min. while it set.
(4)N B.
Thank you for coming to Findlay, Beer Barrel Pizza!! THE BEST PIZZA IN TOWN has arrived. We ordered a EBA (everything but anchovies)-this pie did not disappoint. The 'za was ready for pick up at the well stock drive through in 35 minutes; it was piping hot on our table. The service was very friendly. Beware-the parking lot was packed and people were standing outside in line.
(5)Cody H.
Horrible service and cold food. Since it was a new place to eat, I took my family of four and another couple met us there. We were told that it would be a 30 min wait. After waiting for an hour and a half because they forgot we arrived before a party of eleven. We were finally seated. I ordered the baked lasagna and it came cold in the middle. My daughter ordered mac and cheese with applesauce and they forgot to bring the mac and cheese. Finally our appetizer arrived with the meal. When we complained the waitress told us that the manager had been notified that our service was poor but she could not speak to us because she was too busy. We paid full price and vowed to never return.
