First off, I think it's cool that Bob Evans employs special-needs folks at their restaurants - the gentleman who waited on me and my daughter a few days ago couldn't form a complete, coherent sentence, but was a friendly, outgoing type who struggled valiantly through lots of questions and made sure that our orders were taken in a timely manner. I didn't even mind that he forgot to bring our check three times, or asked if I wanted a scoop of ice cream in a to-go bag, or didn't bother refilling our drinks throughout the entire meal - this guy was courteous and apologized profusely each and every time, and it's pretty hard to get upset at the handicapped. The main problem with this location is that it's pretty dirty on nearly every visit. When I sit down in one of the booths, it's almost become a running joke for me to guess what food item I'll step on first. On this most recent visit, it was an animal cracker. (Does Bob Evans even serve animal crackers? How the hell did that get there?) Filthiness aside, nothing warms my cockles quite like Bob Evans' biscuits, and the accompanying jelly tower. It's like X-mas morning, trying to decide wihich flavor of jelly to open first. And then you've got the vat of honey sitting there seductively, which makes the decision even harder. I'd love to make a meal out of these sometime, but can you just walk into this place, sit down, and order a basket of biscuits? Maybe I'll try that next time. (I fear confusing the poor addle-brained servers, though.) For the main dish, I usually go with breakfast, but sometimes I want to momentarily postpone the transformation of my blood into gravy, and go for something slightly less artery-molesting, like the Wildfire Chicken Salad (w/grilled chicken). Notice I said "slightly" - this salad is still pretty unhealthy, but the dressing is too good to pass up. And then there are the pies, which they have tempted you with since you sat down, as that picture card with all of the varieties sits there like the demonic elephant in the room throughout your meal. You can try to avoid having pie at Bob's, but even though you have just eaten 2x your recommended daily allowance of saturated fat over the course of your meal, you'll find the extra space in your stomach to order a piece or two. I recommend the coconut cream, followed closely by the French silk. Bob Evans is an Ohio standard, and if you're reading this, I'm sure you know what to expect. Go and enjoy, but don't make any sudden movements around the servers.

I've been going here like it's my job due to their frequent BOGO coupons. I think the one on Post Rd is way better than the Sawmill location. Post Rd has better servers and knows how to stuff an omlette with a sufficient amount of sausage. I would recomend their hamburgers. I tried one on a whim (and bogo) and it was really good. They had a chipotle sauce with just the right amout of heat. Now go sign up for their e-mail list and I'll see you Sunday for a bogo dinner. They even had that offer on Easter which was shocking. I guess the old people are leaving them and they're looking for new cheap clients.

The food at any bobs Evans has always been simply average and uninspiring. This place is no different. The coffee requires lots of sugar and cream. The eggs are ok. The pancakes are alright. I'm just not wowed. Where the charm comes in is their servers. I've only been here three times but each time I have really been wowed by how friendly and enthusiastic they are here. It definitely bumps them up from a 3.

I wanted this place to be good. The burger sounded awesome by the menu description! I was VERY disappointed. 1. The place was pretty disheveled. People being chewed out by their manager, food on the floor. I waited quite a while before a serve even came up to me to take an order or bring a drink. 2. The burger was sad at best. The patty separated and tons of greasy type liquid poured out. I've had a lot of good burgers at many places and this was the first time I'd seen this. I didn't even want to eat it. 3. The "home fries" were red potatoes diced up and were very oily. So my whole plate was swimming in oil. Not only that, but they were pretty firm, on the brink, if not under cooked. I left a chunk of burger and all the potatoes on my plate, paid and left. I won't be returning to Bob Evans. Too bad if this was an isolated experience, I won't risk coming here again.

Their mocha was pretty good, but their omelette was not. The eggs were way overcooked and the omelette wasn't seasoned well enough. My husband got the burger and it was mediocre at best...

This place is clean and the service is great. The servers come to the tables very often and ask if everything is good or not. . They are very attentive and make you feel very homey. This is a great place to come for breakfast or brunch. .

I really like the menu here and I think its a good value, especially their kids menu at $2.99. But with that said this location has had issues on all of our visits and we live close by. I've ordered carry out and was misquoted price, then had to wait an extra 30 minutes once I arrived...a total of 1 hour wait. On another visit, I was put on a wait list with a ton of open tables...ok, maybe they are under staffed, but that always seems to be the case. My last visit, it took a while to get service, then I sat a table and starred at a dirty table for my entire visit...not just a few cups and such, Im talking all the plates and glasses and then a server set a tray full of dirty dishes on the table too! I don't blame the serving staff, they are running around, but they need more support staff or something. The servers are always very nice but the store seem grossly under staffed and Ive found the management defensive and not really helpful. The food has always been good though!! lol

Side salad was old...aka brown around the edges, pot pie was only 1/2 full with stringy pieces of (I assume) chicken. Broasted chicken was a bit dry. Rolls were tasty as usual.

Stopped here for dinner everything was as expected. Home style food and reasonable prices. I had the unlimited soup salad and sandwiches which was good but a little slow getting out! Great price at 8.99 for as much as I wanted. The service was good, our sever was very pleasant and friendly and made an effort to have a conversation. Take away is that if you want a low key meal with home style food and a reasonable price come here!

Nice neighborhood restaurant. Not outstanding but solid. They offer a gluten free menu and it is not bad. If you go there being really hungry, get an appetizer, the main course could be a little bit more on the plate for my taste. Folks in there are very friendly. You can come with the whole family and can enjoy a relaxed dinner.

Can't go wrong with Bob Evans: it's cheap, consistently good food. I went here last night for a casual dinner. My friend and I were at home working on bloody marys and snacking on crab dip and crackers when we became hungry for something more. Neither of us were in the mood for anything "big" so I suggested we go to the new "Soup, Salad & Bread" thing at Bob Evans! It's all you can eat and it's offered during the week at lunch for $6.99 and after 4pm and during the weekends for $8.99. We headed over here and I was surprised that at 7pm we were one of only 4 tables in the place. They bring you the salad in a big bowl that is the same clear plastic bowl they use at Olive Garden :). The salad has a mixture of lettuce, grape tomatoes, cheddar cheese, croutons and red onion. Each person then chooses his or her dressing and it comes out in a cute little dressing boat that reminds me of better times. The dressing here is just fair. I think they've changed their ranch because it's now thicker and sweeter and reminds me of (barf!) Marzetti's dressing. I think Marzetti's is the grossest dressing in the world--thick and cloyingly sweet nastiness. That's about how the dressing was last night so I'll have to find another dressing here to have. I tried ranch and blue cheese and they were both on the sweet, gross Marzetti's side of dressing flavorness. The soups you choose from are: tomato basil, bean, chicken noodle, beef vegetable, and baked potato. I had the baked potato soup that comes topped with bacon and green onion. Good stuff. Unfortunately, service was super, super slow last night as they were understaffed. So, I only got one bowl of soup as the guy never came back. Whatever, he was nice though and apologetic and I was full anyway. You get your choice of rolls, biscuits or "seasonal bread" which last night was blueberry bread. I got rolls and they weren't very good. Something had happened to them where they failed to "rise" and were thus very dense and kind of nasty. The waiter realized this as well and admitted that they didn't look like they normally do. I ended with some french silk pie--it was fair. Anyway, for the price Bob Evans is great. They were having an off night due to staffing issues so I'm not going to fault them for that. This is a nice change of pace and something different to do for dinner and I enjoyed it.

It's Bob Evans. What more do you want to know? The food is what you would expect form a chain. they change the menu slightly depending upon the seasons. Stay away from stir fry stuff as it is obviously frozen from a bag. Most food here is cooked from a bag I suspect, but it is consistent and generally all good. Now, on the other hand, the knife and fork pulled pork BBQ sandwich? I would gleefully toss newborn puppies in the river to eat this meal again and again. I love the WildFire BBQ sauce they use, and the combination of pork, sweet, spicy and savory drive me nuts. This is the best plate on the menu. If its hot outside and that sounds too heavy, get the WildFire Chicken salad. It's tasty and huge, even for the "savory", i.e. small, size.

This is our favorite family restaurant. It's a sit down Denny's style restaurant With real home cooked meals like their knive and fork Pulled Pork BBQ, and their Knive and Fork Chicken and Noodle. This is a much better meal and you are paying the same price that you would at Wendy's or McDonald's for a Combo meal. We've NEVER had a bad experience regarding service. We've had different servers every time and everyone has been awesome, prompt and professional. This by far is our favorite family restaurant.

I have lived in and out of Ohio several times and on each occasion, a state without a Bob Evans. In fact, there are no Bob Evans restaurants west of the Mississippi other than Missouri. I just retuned to Ohio a few months ago and have eaten regularly at this restaurant. At the moment, they have a $6.00 Knife and Fork dinner with a half dozen or so of different selections which is great if you do not have a farmer's appetite. In any case, the quality is very good and piping hot. I eat here more frequently at breakfast and as good as the food is, the Ass't Mgr., Hostess/Cashier and Servers are an exceptional team. They all have excellent interpersonal skills and keep a close eye on the tables in case you need any assistance. You have a hard time draining a drink glass before a refill is immediately back on your table. I think Bob Evans quality food is very consistent from restaurant to restaurant. However, the quality of the staff and the level of service can vary quite a bit just like any National chain on a regional basis. I have driven in all 50 states and I certainly speak from experience. If you like "home-style" cooking, Bob Evans is a fine example for big appetites. But.......if you also look for excellent service from 6:00am to 2:00pm (morning crew), I can highly recommend that you should enjoy your breakfast or lunch experience.
