Bob Evans is a good spot for standard breakfast food. You can't really mess up toast, over easy eggs and crispy bacon. The only reason we go to this location is because it's close by. The food is usually good but the service is hit or miss. With the exception of the last time we visited, the service is super sloooooow! I can't tell you how many times we've had bad service here even when it's not too busy. I have actually talked to the manager twice here because of the poor service. One time the manager was very apologetic but the server acted like she could care less about how she served us. Another time I talked to the manager because service was slow and no one checked on us for our entire meal. The manager's response was that our server was busy training a new employee. Um, way to be a good trainer by not coming to check on your tables!! It can be very frustrating dining here, but we will probably suck it up and come back because it's a 5 minute drive.

I think we have all worked in the food industry at one point or another, so naturally we all have an idea of how it should be ran. Bottom line every time I come here something always happens. Last time my check got lost and we waited for over and hour on my Chicken Salad and a Pot Roast dinner and on Mother's Day of all days! The time before that we had a terribly rude server I even had to ask for the manager. I'm not trouble not a bad tipper especially since I'm a serve myself. But this Bob Evans location always lets me down. Only reason I rated it 2 stars would be for my favorite salad and because I've always ended up with my meal comped. If your wanting Bob Evans try another location.

Note: I am a fan of this particular Bob's. Also NOTE: Most Bob Evan's warrant no more than three stars in my book. The company is a money hog. They waste money on decor every couple years, by compensating on rising food prices. The story of Bob's is a long one and probably on the back of a menu should you care to read about it, but that is for a different time and a different place. I am here.. purely and solely to let others know that out of the four times I have been to this location service has always been consistently good. Go two minute north to the Powell location and that is a completely different story of incompetence and lack of care. My biggest qualms are with the company in general and things out of this location's control, but that's a future letter to corporate. This location is fine and dandy for those looking for a Bob's that won't infuriate them with lack luster service.

Met friends here after an event for lunch on a rainy Saturday, as it was convenient to 270. Bob Evans has something for everyone. Food is good. Service was good. Our server for our 3 tables was Jen C. She was great. No problems with anything. Tiffany at the register was very nice and efficient, even when I had the math issue! Priscilla made my son, Dustin's day by also being attentive to him, as we left. Thank you all.

Food was decent and our server was super sweet and totally on top of things. However the bathrooms were disgusting. There was paper everywhere and the handicap stall had dried stools all over it. We were seated by the restroom & multiple female employees were in and out of there. Gross.

Some friends stopped on their way home to Nevada to see me for a few hours last night. It is Restaurant Week in Columbus and I wanted to treat them to a nice dinner, but they are originally from Ohio and missed Bob Evans. They were staying in a hotel very near this Bob Evans location. I have always gone to the one on Post Road. Our experience was HORRIBLE. The restaurant wasn't crowded, so I felt comfortable telling the server, a girl who looked not even old enough to work yet was training another employee named Holly, that we hadn't seen each other for 5 years and just wanted to relax, talk and have a quick reunion before they had to leave on their trip. The server was the absolute worst. When she told us the salad dressings, she said "Colonial" was their house dressing. I asked what it was and she couldn't tell me, nor did she try to find out, and she is training someone else? I asked if it might be a celery seed dressing and she said no. I got it anyway. It was a celery seed dressing, almost identical to one I make at home. I told her so if anyone asks again, she'll know. She interrupted us pretty much every five minutes for the whole time we were there. We were not holding up any tables; there were plenty. She came back to ask: did we like the Colonial Dressing? Did one of us like the Ranch? She explained why she didn't like Ranch and why. How was our chicken? Was there anything we needed? How about more water? How were things? (At this point, so annoyed because we'd be in the middle of a conversation and each time it got dropped and not picked up again because of her constant interruptions) that I replied to this last question: WE ARE PRETTY MUCH THE SAME AS WE WERE WHEN YOU ASKED FIVE MINUTES AGO but it went completely over her head and didn't deter her. Our food arrived. The broasted chicken was really good, but I have never seen mashed potatoes and gravy with a "crust" on the outsides. We all ordered dinner rolls, and they were completely stale and we couldn't even eat them. Our server kept trying to take plates away before we were finished with them. Had the food been great, we maybe could have overlooked the server (well, that is wishful thinking) or had she been great and the food terrible... but the whole experience was just awful. I think even my friends wished they had decided on the Restaurant Week restaurant. I wish I caught the server's name, but if you're smart, you won't be going there anyway.

I'm not a fan on any chain restaurant but with kids in tow, I needed something quick. Our server was Emily and she was delightful. We had two 5 year olds and two 10 year olds and they brought out the 5 years old about 5 mins before the rest of ours which was a big help! Service was quick.. our bill was only $35 for 6 of us! 2 kids meals, 2 breakfast pancakes orders and 2 sandwiches and 2 coffees..$35 isn't bad.

Terrible first experience! We just moved to the area from Colorado and had never tried Bob Evans before. If we based it solely on this visit, we would never come back! When we walked in, the host was so soft-spoken I didn't even understand that he was asking me...how many in my party. I was shocked to see his name tag say "assistant manager" Mr. Rand. He led us to one side of the restaurant, where we stood for a minute while he looked around and realized finally that there were no five tops on that side of the restaurant. He then led us to the other side of the restaurant and seated us. Great assistant manager! We were impressed with the variety on the menu and were excited after ordering, to try our respective meals. Our server Monica was pleasant enough when we saw her, which was not frequently. We literally didn't see her for 45 minutes, until our entrees arrived missing the correct sides and requested sauces. NOTE: the restaurant was NOT busy. I flat out asked the waitress if it typically took that long and she replied that they were seriously understaffed today. It did not make me feel better that she said most of the staff was sick. They only had one person on the grill and three waitresses to staff the whole restaurant. Having been in the waitress business myself for years, I understood that. What I did not understand was why she never mentioned to her customers that there was a longer than usual wait (even if it as a few minutes into the wait), why she didn't do her best to make sure we were comfortable with drinks etc while we waited. At the end of the meal she brought my son his "bottomless hot chocolate" and said, as she dropped off the check, "I'm not going to put it on your bill." That's because she already had! She also charged us for two kids meals which were supposed to be free. My husband was not impressed with the cashier either...the staff at this location was less than stellar! We will be trying another location before we completely write off Bob Evans.

You know, I was there just before a funeral. I was going to be hard to please. But the server was friendly and helpful, the food was good--darn good--and I have no complaints. Was it a trip to the moon on gossamer wings? Maybe not. But it was better than most restaurants in the chain class. Good Midwestern value.

The service seems to be hit or miss. I either wait awhile at the beginning of my meal, or wait during my meal. At some point in time I'm going to wonder where my server is, but they always make up for it somewhere. My biggest thing with this location though, is getting to and from it. It's back off the main road, and I'm pretty sure you can see it from 270. Take a side road and you'll find it. But, when heading back to the highway, take the long way, make a left out of the lot, and then a left at the cross street. That will pop you out at a light to turn left at to get back to 270. Lesson learned. But the food is decent, the service so so, the drinks good, and the coffee hot. Its every thing you'd expect from a Bob Evans.

When reviewing a big time chain, in my opinion consistency is key. Unfortunately, there was something a bit off about my recent visit here. The sausage gravy tasted strange and the potatoes were underdone. The service was adequate and both of the kids meals we got turned out OK. It is also a pain to get there, but its hard to fault the restaurant for that. Overall, a mediocre experience at this Bob's.

I have been a BE patron for many years and have come to find a significant decline in customer service at their restaurants in Dublin, OH., especially this one. The service is often slow, management apathetic to your concerns, dirty interiors and food quality and presentation substandard. Oftentimes, a long wait before someone comes to the register for payment before leaving.

Worst location of the chain. I love Bob Evans, but this location is horrible! My last visit there started with me getting served the wrong item for dinner. The waitress apologized and return with the proper meal after about 10 minutes. In the mean time, my daughter found a hair in her yogurt. When I called for the manager to come over, my guess is that it took him 10-15 minutes to get there. I looked up at him and said "you're having a bad day" and explained the problems we had. He wanted to argue with me. Worst customer service ever!

Bob Evans. A central Ohio staple. I will have to admit that my family and I really like BE, but this location just wasnt the best. We stopped in here for lunch this past week and the waitress was ok. It took her several minutes to get to our table and get our drink order. She kept coming back several times within the first 2 minutes asking if we were ready to order. It was like she was hurrying us to order before we even knew what we wanted. Our food finally arrived and it was good. We had to send the person who brought our food to our table back to the kitchen a couple of times because our waitress forgot the biscuits and cole slaw that we ordered with our food. We were waiting for our waitress to bring a carryout box to our table for several minutes. It finally took us getting up from the table before she offered to come over to see if we needed anything else. Honestly, the restaurant wasnt all that busy at that time given it was lunchtime. Thank goodness this isnt our usual BE that we eat at!
