This is an amazing little place! I had their recommended black tea, Katie sandwich and vegetable soup. The Katie was a turkey on light rye with a delicious chutney and thin apple slices and the puréed vegetable soup was very fresh, not heavy and perfect with the sandwich. Also the scones are the best I've ever tasted, light, fluffy cut in half for you and served with a delicious jelly and very light whipped cream. A nice lady gave me half of hers since she wasn't expecting it to be so large! I forgot to take a picture, I was so excited and it was so pretty I forgot to snap a picture! Everything is home made and my descriptions does this place no justice!!! I am happily surprised to find such a gem!

We've been here for lunch and breakfast, both super delicious! The food was made to order, fresh, and super tasty with great prices! Their tea and coffee is DELISH! They don't have too big of a menu for breakfast but it's still very tasty. Lunch is awesome, I would definitely recommend their onion and cheese sandwich, cream of cauliflower soup, and potato scones!

Oh how I love Central Perc!! Owned by the most adorable couple - my sister and I have been going for years! We don't live in Dayton anymore, but it is always on the list when we go back. Even if we haven't been in months, he remembers our order - turkey on French, iced teas no lemon :)...such a simple menu, but done to perfection! Also...best potato salad ever!

While visiting in Ohio, we decided to take my daughter for a real tea party. And we have found the perfect spot! A small European cafe called Central Perc is a delightful place. With fine china, lovely plates and a large selection of hot teas to choose from, this place was truly a pleasant treat. We were served their house tea which was amazing. The tea pots and tea cups were beautiful. The tea had a smooth and light flavor, perfect for a afternoon. They bring out all you could ask for! A variety of sandwiches, which include egg salad, cucumber and a cheese. All were delicious. The desserts were incredible! The cheesecake was some of the best cheesecake I've ever had! So rich, creamy and the crust was perfect. Also had scones topped with fruit jam and whipped cream, amazing! The scones were light and delicate. Perfect way to end afternoon tea. My daughter and my son enjoyed the elegant feel and delightful bites. Such a wonderful way to spend an afternoon!

While my brother is in town, I took the opportunity to introduce Central Perc to them. We had afternoon tea. Everyone enjoyed the food so much that they want to go abc next time they visit Ohio.

Great little tea shop with a family feel from the British owner with the clients that were here enjoying the tea. Great tasting English pastries and cookies.

I cannot express how much I love coming here for afternoon tea with my girlfriends. The tea and food are always delicious. The little tea sandwiches and desserts are DIVINE! If you want a pleasant afternoon where you can spend hours catching up with friends while stuffing your face...then this is the place for you!

Enjoyed high tea here this afternoon; finger sandwiches, carrot cake, Manchester tart, sponge cake with whipped cream and scones with butter, jam and more whipped cream, along with a pot of tea. All of it was wonderful. Not inexpensive at $14 per person, but not awful, either. For a special treat, head in and try it. I would go back in a heartbeat.

I thought there was a review on here that wasnt 5 stars, but now its gone. hmmm. I wanted to go in and try it because, for one its local and I think nobody should go to starbucks unless there is no other choice Ok so I tried the Scone based on Rob Ds; OMG this is the greatest scone ever and i have died and gone to Scone heaven review. Well. can you imagine. It wasnt all that. Maybe he had just ate some shrooms. My coffee was good and I would drive by everywhere else in oakwood to go back here for that anyday. I'm thinking that on a day thats nice out it would be the perfect place to sit outside have a good coffee or tea and some food and relax. When I go back that is exactly what I will do.

Did someone actually say this place was ordinary? Hardly. This place is fantastic. There's nothing else that can or needs to be said about it. The tea is amazing, the baked goods are to die for, and the service is friendly.

The culinary equivalent of the 'wake & bake'. Coffee and scones never tasted so good. The best place in Dayton to get sconed! Lunch is great also. Central Perc, also know for their high tea, now I'm not a tea drinker, but after getting sconed in there two days in a row this week, I'm ready to try this high tea thing. whoa!

I just moved away from Dayton and this is one of the places I will miss the most! As a serious fan of afternoon tea, I wish I could give Central Perc more than five stars. It's a casual cafe, not formal like many other teas, which is a nice change. It's really inexpensive for afternoon tea at $14 (be sure to use the coupons from your Entertainment Book to get BOGO), but you wouldn't know it because the food is AMAZING. Each person gets a pot of tea (you may choose from a large variety), about eight finger sandwiches, a scone with butter, jam, and whipped cream, and two decently sized desserts. I brought several friends here and we all died for the cheese and onion finger sandwiches in particular. The owners are super friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. You won't be disappointed!

The cream teas and high teas are to die for. The British host and hostess have perfected the ambiance of an English teashop in the heart of small city Ohio. A nice cuppa alfresco on their patio is the way to go!

It's easy for me to overlook things when the food is really good. 5 stars is based on the type of place this is and that it sits in Dayton Ohio. If it was in say Asheville I might downgrade it to a 4 star based on the restaurant choices around it. First. No air condition so... Order a scone with cream and jam. Get any sandwich on French. Go at 2pm on a nice day in the fall or spring and have high tea. Venture out with any of the unique soups. They are all awesome. Yes. Even the carrot.
