The Crafty Pint is my new ultimate spot for great food & beer. We had heard of this place nearly a year ago & finally went - I nearly cried on the way home because we had missed out for so long. We got wings (split half buffalo and half bbq), they were both superb! However, if you split - try the buffalo first because the bbq is VERY flavorful. We also split eh Crafty Buger and a hot chicken sandwich with the best bacon I've ever had. We paired them with both fried and fried pickles. The fries were phenom, and fried pickles are always wonderful! We had beer, then more beer topped off with another beer. The bar staff was amazing! They talked to us in length about their beers and the menu, mad recommendations and also steered us away from things we may not like after talking with us for a few. That was greatly appreciated!! We left fat and happy. We plan to do so many times more.

This place is a solid 3 stars. Would I go back? Probably not. Was it the worst ever? No, definitely not. It was just really mediocre. For every good thing, there was an element that wasn't. I think ultimately the concept of The Crafty Pint is cool - but the execution just wasn't there tonight. Atmosphere: Quirky/rustic and cute. Some people like drinking from mason jars. I don't. Service: Attentive. Though there was seemingly only one server and we felt kind of rushed. Food: The menu looks great (great beer list too!). You read it and think, "that sounds good. Ooh that sounds good..that too!" But we found that with both of our dishes that they just were...lacking. Again, I think it comes down to execution. We ordered pretzel bread and that was surprisingly delicious - the 3 sauces were really tasty. Especially the tangy mustard. The meatloaf sandwich was texturally a mush wad. Overly sauced, overly cheesed, just so much mush. Boyfriend said that the short ribs in his grilled cheese were bland and that he preferred the bits without short rib. Overall, I just wanted to like this place so much more than I actually did.

I'm really torn on this place. For one, they have a pretty good beer selection and they're all reasonably priced (especially their happy hour deal which applies to ALL drafts and flights). Their appetizers here have also been pretty good. If you order one thing I highly suggest the mussel frites. It's an order of fries covered with a garlic butter sauce with a bunch of mussels. Mix the fries in with the sauce and it's crazy flavorful. My one issue with this place is the entrees. I've been here a few times and my entree each time has been very meh. I got the burger last time and it was dry and flavorless. And the sauce they put on the burger far overwhelms the flavors which I think is to mask the fact that their beef is not great quality. I also have tried the fish and chips here which were overly oily and not very flavorful either. The dessert here has been good in he past so if you have room spring for that. Not sure if I'd be back, but if you're looking for a good happy hour spot to grab an appetizer and a beer this is a nice option.

We had high hopes for this place. Tonight was our second visit here. The first visit (a few months ago) was just a small bite at the bar and a couple of drinks. It was good and the service was great so we decided to come back. Upon ordering tonight we were told the cornmeal croutons were out for my salad and then when ordering the chefs choice gazpacho-- it was also out. Our server helped us decide on the crab cakes for a light dinner. They were covered with a heavy, overly sweet caramel sauce that overtook our palates. We both agreed that a thinner sauce with an acidic compliment would have been much better. And at $12 I didn't feel we got a very good value. For a positive, our sever was great and very attentive and friendly. I'm not sure we will be back...

Went to the crafty pint for brunch with my Husband and was excited to get the French toast. When it came is was SUPER undercooked and raw. I could of gotten food poisoning. :/ it was supposed to be on Texas toast but was obviously made with wonderbread as well. I don't understand how you fuck up French toast but obviously the crafty pint did. Very disappointed and will never go back. :(

I pass this restaurant on my way to work almost every day, so thought I would try it out last night with my partner. To start, we ordered chips and guacamole. The guac was actually pretty good and the salsa verde was okay, but were treated to a strainer of stale tortilla chips. My actual meal was their Crafty Burger. Although, I ordered a medium rare burger, the order came out with absolutely no pink in the middle. The "bacon jam", ordered on the side, made me gag. The fried pickles were okay, though. Overall, the food was not good, but the hokey atmosphere brought back images of the worst chain restaurants trying to be a hipster oasis. The napkins were bandanas, room temperature tap water was served in mason jars, and the check came in a Dr. Seuss book. Uninspired food and ridiculous, "trying too hard" atmosphere. Two stars.

Ambience is great. Server Amber was awesome. Fried pickles good. Crafty burger and rib sandwich were just okay.

I finally got the chance to check out the Crafty Pint on Friday night, and it was pretty packed. I used to live down the street, so I had fond memories of the spot as Hoggy's. I also forgot the kind of nightmare that parking lot is once it gets busy, so more than likely you'll have to park in the copy center lot next store. Luckily, it seems the parking lot is just too small for the restaurant itself, and we were seated right away. It didn't really start off on a high note for us as it took about 10 minutes or so for our server to take our drinks orders from the time we were seated. She was nice, but we didn't see a whole lot of her for most of the meal. We started out with an order of the wings, because people have said they're great. While the chicken and BBQ sauce were pretty good, half the wings were cold at the bone. The wings are smoked first, and they were cooked all the way through, so I'm guessing they didn't grill them for too long before bringing them out. That was kind of a bummer, but the flavor was spot on. For the main course, the server suggested the stacked short rib grilled cheese, which is what I was looking at trying anyway, and the girlfriend had the beer battered cod. Honestly, I was pretty disappointed with my dish. The short rib was okay, or at least what there was of it, but it was pretty much dominated by bread. I guess I didn't put two and two together that stacked meant three pieces of bread, and I was left with a whole bunch of bread with no toppings by the end. The flavor was pretty average. Also, they serve fried pickles with all of the sandwiches, and they tasted pretty good, but a lot of them were soggy and didn't have the crisp you'd expect with a fried pickle. My girlfriend really liked her cod, and I thought it was actually pretty tasty, so there was some upside. The curly fries that came with it were just okay. I don't know if I'll be making the trek back here any time soon. I don't usually give out low ratings, but the quality of the food we had on top of the price we paid just didn't do it for me. I left pretty disappointed with the meal, and I haven't done that in awhile. I'm always willing to give a place a second chance though, so if Crafty Pint hangs on at this location (unlike it's predecessors) then I'm sure at some point, I'll make it back again.

Ended up coming here due to other restaurant being too busy on a Friday. The location was small but trendy in a way. The place had a good atmosphere with friendly staff. Ordered the flat bread and was very impressed how delicious it was. The burger and fries pickle for a dollar extra was disappointing. It was okay but not good. The rustic flatbread was defiantly the only reason why I would come back. Service was okay until she stopped checking on us after we received our meals. Took a long time to get our checks and cashed it out.

My friend described the decor as "Pinterest threw up" and seeing the other reviews - everyone definitely feels the "Pinterest" vibe here. I popped in on New Year's Day for a late lunch - and they had a sign - "Closing early New Year's Day!" That was it. No hours, no "at 4pm" - nothing. Walked in, was seated, put in a drink order - then they informed that they were closing at 4pm - this was at 3:30pm "...you may have seen the sign..." - yes, the sign with no time? Saw it. Thanks. The food - not bad. The beer selection - good. The service? Good (despite the whole timing snafu - I'm pretty sure he was supposed to be off, and probably was working during a post-NYE hangover). All in all, it's not on my list of "we gotta go back!" but when I want something a little different, I will try to remember it (as I barely remembered it the first time). So I'm *hoping* to be back, but nothing about it said "OMG GET THE GANG AND GET HERE!"

I Really wanted to love this place. I mean I really did. But just can't. Here's why.... The atmosphere is cool & cozy. Their menu looks very creative and has a lot of variety. And the reviews convinced me to give it a try. My husband and I ordered the mussels for an appetizer. They were bland and lacked flavor. I had the salmon salad as my meal. The salmon was overlooked & had a crusty coating from being cooked in oil. Hubby ordered the fish and chips. The only yummy part of the meal we're his fries and the spicy ketchup! I ordered the Moscow Mule for my drink. They were very weak...I mean after three of them I was sure that there was barely any alcohol in them. Hubby ordered Blantons bourbon on the rocks and it was served watered down (I'm pretty sure bourbon on the rocks = bourbon + ice. Not water) Worst part is that our bill was almost $90 for a mediocre meal. With all of the fantastic restaurants in Columbus, we definitely won't be giving the Crafty Pint a second thought.

We stopped by this recent addition to Linworth area (no more BBQ) early this summer on a late afternoon and were pleasantly surprised. The place was not busy at all and the service was excellent. Their menu had many common items for a pub/bar type establishment, but they had some interesting additions as well. Both are meals were very tasty. The beer selection was good too. I would recommend and hope to return again.

This location holds a special place in my heart. I was a huge Hoggy's fan. We used to come to this location in college for $0.10 wing night and Hoggy's always had the best wings in town. It must be something to do with this spot, because now the Crafty Pint has the best wings in town. They are smoked. Grilled cripsy. Tossed in a house made honey bourbon sauce, all which adds up to a perfect wing. They even make their own blue cheese which is super creamy and smooth. Like Hoggy's they also have potato skins with pork. They were pretty good, at least 4/5 stars worth. Not quite as much flavor as Hoggy's had but pretty darn close. I also tried the Duck Flatbread pizza which was also pretty darn good. It was grilled so perfectly that it had grill marks on it. The duck was soft and not greasy and paired well with a sweet and spicy arrangement of toppings. The draft list was pretty awesome and they features a lot of local brews and Ohio brews. Most were $5-7 which is reasonable. A flight of four is $11 and probably about 16oz total...not really worth it unless you want to taste. They didn't really tell me the tasting rules, but I did taste one beer in addition to the one I chose to drink, it came in a very small shot glass. I'm not sure if they would let you taste 2-4 like the other gastropubs in town. The service is also something they must have inherited from Hoggy's...it was pretty slow considering the restaurant was pretty slow. They only give you one beer menu and we both had time to look it over and the food menu before our server brought us water or even said hi...it was a bit of time. The trend continued the rest of the night. I didn't like it that other servers were walking around and didn't clear our dirty plates. Most other gastro pubs and craft beer type restaurants will clear your plate when walking by, not just your own server. I don't know if 101 Beer Kitchen just started a trend in town based on their success, the industrial rustic theme, lots of craft beers, flavorful menu with relatively cheap food and lots of made from scratch items (also open up in an old Hoggy's)...either way restaurants like this one and Kraft House No. 5 are trying to copy 101BK's success with varying results. If 101 is 5 stars and this place is 4 I have to lower my rating of KH5 to 2 stars from 3 based solely on the food and beer selections between the other two gastropubs. Just a few tweaks mainly on service and server training and this place could easily be 5 stars. Gastropub dining should be a pleasant experience where the servers act like your friends and take care of you, all of them down to the hostess and the managers. I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.

This was my 2nd visit, both on a Friday after work. I loved the 1st visit about 4 months ago; great food & service, would have given C.P. 5 stars. I went with friends last night and a totally different experience. The food was really good but the service was rather terrible. I get there early around 4:30 and there were a few customers at the bar and some at the tables. When I went to find a place for our group to sit there were tables not cleaned off or set. I'm thinking they should be setting up for the dinner crowd. I was seated and after 5 minutes had to go find my waitress to order a beer. I had to ask other servers to find her for an appie, for silverware, etc. When I engaged any of the servers they were helpful however shouldn't have to search out someone.

Boyfriend and I wanted a burger so we decided to give this place a try. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our waiter, Patrick brought us filtered water to drink out of Mason jars. We skipped appetizers and went straight for The Crafty Burger which was 2 huge burgers on a grilled bun with homemade boursin cheese, bacon, roasted tomatoes, mixed greens and onion straws with a blue twisty straw through it to keep it together. It was served with a side of fried pickle chips served in a Chinese take out box and all delivered in a cast iron skillet. We asked for a side of ranch and asked if they had mustard. They brought us 3 types to use. The burgers were huge and absolutely delicious. The bacon was soooooo flavorful! The pickles had fantastic flavor! They have many, many beers to offer on tap. Most of the foods used and the beers are from Ohio. Patrick was the best with a great personality and was very attentive to our table. What made us giggle was when Patrick brought out the check in a Dr Seuss children's book. We had seen others have written comments in the book so we followers suit. In summary, fantastic burgers, fried pickles, environment and waiter. We will be back and recommend to others. You must give them a try.

Things started off well initially - great service, cute decor, intriguing menu. They've got a great beer selection as well as a full bar. Unfortunately, they were out of several beers and didn't have the crab cakes I'd decided on for my order. Eventually I got the butternut squash flatbread, which was fine but not terribly flavorful. My sister-in-law liked her potato skins, but my wife's chili was overcooked and arrived about 10 minutes after the rest of our food. To their credit, they took the chili off our bill without us even having to even ask. Overall, our experience was fine but not great. I'd give it a second chance if we weren't here only briefly for the holidays...

I've been here twice, both times on a Sunday, and I love it. It is the perfect place to catch an NFL Sunday. It never seems to be too packed on this day. Their bar features premium cocktails, brunch drinks and a wide selection of beers. They do not offer wine yet as they currently don't have a license. The food is magnificent and the value is top notch -- you won't leave hungry! Make sure to check out the photos I've posted of the items! The Mac & Cheese is unbelievable. I'll be back!
(5)Jess T.
Just ate here for the first time and it won't be the last. First off, they have a large selection of beer and several cocktails. I'm not a huge beer person, so I got the peach iced tea which has vodka in it. Yum! To eat I tried the crafty burger and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese had a nice bite to it and the burger was cheesy and juicy. We also ordered a side of fried pickles. To be honest, I consider myself a fried pickle snob and these were delicious. Not caked in batter, not too greasy, just right. Make sure you order those with a side of ranch. Service wise, the place wasn't too busy (we went on a Sunday around 1:45). Our server was nice, but could have visited the table more often. Overall great food and fun atmosphere! I'm still thinking about the mac and cheese.
(4)Anna R.
Mediocre food at high prices. Feels like a copy cat menu of other trendy restaurants. They tend to mask boring simple food with extra cheese or weird buzz word sauces to make it more appealing. I've gave you three shots CP, I really want to like you but for half the price I'd pick just about anywhere over your underwhelming menu.
(1)Brittany B.
Found this place on yelp and so glad we decided to go. Loved the decor when we first waked in and then I saw the amazing beer selection. We got there about 30 min before happy hour...Awesome!! The food was slamming and the pickle chips were the best I've ever had. Our waiter was very polite and helpful. Definitely going to revisit the crafty pint!
(5)Katie M.
The food is excellent. We had the wings, braided pretzel, Mac 'n cheese, and fried pickles. The beers are good (according to husband). But the bar is a bit to be desired.

Crowded 6 months ago yet I notice a parking lot that is growing more empty by the day. Will be closed in another 6 months if it doesn't improve. Food was average at best. BARELY warm. Walleye was not worth finishing. Would never order the shrimp salad again. It was awful. Greens with a few slices of red peppers with fried balls of shrimp. Waiter had zero personality and did not check on us despite a fairly empty restaurant. Great beers and cocktail menu. This was our second trip and we won't come back. Which is unfortunate bc we need a cool place like this in our area. Hope the owner realizes this and changes it FAST.
(2)Jim O.
We were here once before in the fall and were pleasantly surprised. When we arrived this past Saturday we arrived to a packed parking lot and fairly full restaurant. We were excited to be seated on the covered and heated patio. Our waiter was friendly and out going as we ordered drinks. We received our drinks and waited to order as the tables started to fill around us. We saw more tables fill after we placed our order of tacos and the Meatloaf dinner. Things really changed after that as we saw meal after meal served and at one point our waiter assured us our meal was up next. Unfortunately 30 minutes arrived and four times our waiter visited tables around us with no word or acknowledgement. Once I finally called him over after a hour from the time we had ordered had past, our meals were delivered. He apologized and said a manager would be by. Later he said drinks were on the house. When the bill arrived we never saw a manager and one drink was comped. Oh the food was just OK but at least warm. We were very tired and disappointed as we left a partially cleared room where others had come an gone.

This spot in Linworth has been in flux ever since Hoggy's moved on. I really hope that The Crafty Pint will change that. I stopped in for some late evening drinks and a snack with friends, and got to enjoy their patio on a perfect late-summer night. The staff were friendly, and we ended up going with a couple sampler flights - and the bartender threw in a bonus drink for us! I also tried their goat cheese, blueberry, and basil flatbread - a really nice mix of sweet and savory that could work as a starter or a dessert. Haven't had the chance to try more of the menu, but I do intend to be back - the fact that they're doing brunch now seems like as good an excuse as any. :)
(4)Carene O.
We were looking forward to the food here, as we have eaten here a couple of other times and it was good. A little pricey, but good. We've noticed it wasn't very busy on our other visits. Today still not packed but much busier, and we ended up leaving after we waited over 10 minutes for someone to seat us and then several more minutes at the table without anyone even stopping by to say "be right with you."
(2)Katie B.
Not your typical gastropub food! I had heard about The Crafty Pint a while ago and regretfully it took me almost 6 months to finally try it. It was worth the wait! We went for Restaurant Week as a great way to try lots of things and take some of the choice anxiety out of their interesting menu. The only disappointment is that some of the RW items don't look like they show up on the regular menu. I had the roast duck flatbread- spot on flavor with every bite. Rich duck, zingy pickled onions, bright Rosemary and cheeeeeeeeese. The slider trio which featured The Crafty Burger (get this!), the elk burger (may not be on the regular menu) and the chicken and waffle (maybe brunch menu?). Three knock outs. And just when I didn't think I could eat anything else it was time for the dessert course which was the apple tart. I wanted to pack it for home. The waiter (rightfully) insisted otherwise. There should always be room for this apple pie tart thing that comes with fireball (the candy, not the booze) ice cream. Hot d@mn that thing was great. Service was awesome. The waiters were super friendly. Drinks came out quickly (grapefruit basil martini and beer selection were good). And since commenting on ambiance is a thing, I quite liked it. Comfy, modern, rustic, warm, "pinteresty" (quoting other yelp reviewers), and appropriate for a bar. I cannot wait to go back!
(5)Tripp D.
This is my 2nd time in since they opened & both times I had horrible service. The wait staff knows nothing about the beers they serve, they act like you are a burden for being there. Not friendly. Not coming back. Don't go here. The menu looks ok but good luck getting it. Plus, the mead pours are ridiculous. I'm a bartender & I know when I'm being fed a crock of shit.
(1)Suzanne C.
Sad to say we were disappointed. We have been here 3-4 times. The first couple of times were fine... Cute place... Neat concept... Trendy menu options... Popular craft beer theme. The pretzel app is delicious and I would highly recommend. The last several times we have come were nearly fair. Two of us had the beer brat... Fairly flavorless brat in a white boring roll...the hot slaw was yummy but didn't enhance the brat it simply masqueraded the mundane small brats lackluster flavor. The Ohio meatloaf was rather bland as well... Nothing interesting or different about it! Would love this restaurant to dig in and get creative again as its near to home and had such potential at first!
(2)Abe R.
Service was fine. We sat on a comfortable enclosed patio and drank some decent beer. Unfortunately the dish I ordered must count as the worst meal I've had in columbus. It takes real talent to render braised meat dry and flavorless. That's what they accomplished with the turkey osso bucco. Other dishes were mediocre. The short rib sandwich was rather bland and did they really have to stick an extra Slice of bread in there? I ordered a slide of Spicy slaw. The principle here seemed to be take some soggy cabbage with too much mayo and put as much Siracha in it as you can and then it has to be good. A pretty sad spectacle overall. A Solid baseline of mediocrity with the occasional spectacular flameout. I'll be carrying the memory of that osso bucco for a long time but sadly it's not going to be cherished.
(1)Alexis R.
Never had good food at a bar before! The pretzel braids are the best pretzels I've ever had. So good with the ale cheese which is also delicious. Raspberry lemonade also tasty. Tropical mojito and peach tea...not so swell. The service is top notch, friendly and on top of it. My friends got the wings and a burger, they loved both! Only wish we'd been offered to choose outdoor seating. The children's books for holding the receipts is a neat touch as well.
(4)Kelly R.
Tried this place out last night. I was really looking forward to it as it's close to my house, but left disappointed. We expected a wait on a Friday night, but we were told it'd be about 30 minutes. We grabbed a drink at the small bar and then froze for another Hour waiting on a table. I say froze because there is no insulation from the outside near the bar area. So if it's cold outside, it's cold inside. After finally getting a table (not annoyed at wait, annoyed host quoted us 30 min wait instead of 60), we ordered an app and dinner. App came immediately (chips and guac so I would hope so) but dinner didn't come for yet another hour. Unfortunately we were seated near the bar which meant our table was freezing as well. Left coats on entire dinner. My $14 tacos were awful. And everyone else's food was just ok. We left 3 hours after getting there with a hefty bill and unsatisfied bellies. The beer was good though!
(2)Cecilia C.
I really wanted to be wowed by this place though it was mediocre at best. I mixed up my salad to a different blackened fish mahi mahi from salmon if I recall. It was just bland it didn't even taste blackened. I did enjoy the beer selection even though some of the beers they were out of. I would go back if a friend picked this place though I wouldn't go running back again. Just too many places that offer a similar vibe and equal beer selection to go to or try yet in Columbus.
(2)Michael R.
This is s great place to get drinks and appetizers with friends, but I wouldn't recommend it for a meal. The service is fine, but the entrees are overpriced. The mussels came out and most were unopened, they got me more? But still served them to me all the same. They left items on my bill that they were out of, it was fixed but it is still the principle.
(3)Doug O.
Went for dinner last night and was very pleased. The beer list is extensive with 40 taps and several bomber bottles. Much of the beer was Ohio stuff and several were things I hadn't seen many other places. I had a bomber of Hoppin Frog DORIS, which is always a good thing. The burger I had was actually one of the best in the city. It was simple with nothing fancy, but it was done right. Two perfectly cooked patties with a cheese sauce poured over them that ran nicely into every nook and cranny. I got the bacon mac n cheese too, which was also good, but was the same cheese sauce as on my burger, so it was a bit of overload. We sat at the bar and both the bartenders were friendly and attentive. All the servers who came to the service bar were chatty and friendly too. I would go back.

This was my first visit to this new gastropub in Linworth, and I was eager to see what it was like. This particular location, next to the BP station at the corner of Linworth Road and 161, has been a black hole for restaurants - BBQ joints and pizza places have been in and out for year. The owners of The Crafty Pint have put in considerable work on the building, pouring more patio space and completely renovating the interior. It's very appealing, with rough-wood tables, exposed brick, rustic patio space and a surprising amount of seating, both inside and outside. The restaurant is dinner only, opening at 4 pm. My companion and I were seated on the patio. The salt and pepper shakers were made from mini booze bottles, a cute touch. We were impressed with the menu, featuring many items I wanted to try, although I have to wonder if it is some kind of Craft Beer Gastropub by-law that you must serve shrimp & grits (101BK is famous for theirs and the newly-opened Craft House No 5 in Powell also serves them). Great selection of beers and cocktails. Our service was quick and attentive, and friendly. Our server pointed out that two of the menu items, the Crafty burger and the chicken sandwich, are served with fried pickles (rather than fries) which was all we needed to hear. I was tempted to order a side of goat cheese grits (I love grits) but decided against it. I had the Crafty Burger. It was delicious. Tender, juicy flavorful meat and a soft brioche bun. The superstar was the fried pickles, though - I've never had better fried pickles. A little dangerous, actually. Crispy batter, not over-battered, juicy and briney pickles. Mmmmm good. The restaurant enjoys its fun little touches. The drinks menu is mounted on a quarter piece of a board game, and one's check is presented inside a small Dr. Seuss hardcover book - previous patrons have used the opportunity to leave comments and compliments on the book's pages (I did the same!). My friend and I arrived at 5:30ish and had no trouble getting seated, but when we left at 7 there was a queue forming. Our server told us that business has been good. I hope they can make a go of it, I'd like to see this place succeed. I will be back. It'd be fun to go there later just for brews and a dessert - or more of those pickles.
(5)Jennifer H.
Nonplussed! Had so much potential when it opened last year. We should have know when we pulled into the parking lot and hardly anyone was there. We started with the crabcake appetizer...yuck. The caramel sauce ruined an average crabcake. And it just got worse from there. We will not return

Final Review..... because I will never be back. This place is right down the street from me so I have given it multiple chances. First, there is no changing station in the bathrooms. If you have high chairs in your restaurant then you need a changing station. Second. The food is so bland it's not funny! I had the short rib stew and the "stew" was gravy. Literally, it was gravy from a jar with 2 little potatoes and maybe 3 carrots. It was disgusting and lumpy and flavorless. The guac needs some acid and salt, too. The ale Mac and cheese is basically nacho cheese sauce with some beer. The concept is so great. It's like beer house meets moonshine chic. The food could be great but everything I have had there is so bland and feels like the kitchen is just heat n'eat. Like the tacos, the base of this entree is good but then they serve them with oversized floury tortillas that just came out of the package. I mean at least throw them on the grill to give some char and another layer of flavor. And don't serve chips and salsa as the side! Helloooooo, you have a fairly creative menu so put some thought into each item on the plate. My Hubs had the burger and it wasn't good for as sloppy and messy as it was. I don't eat burgers, but to me the sloppier and messier means the tastier. Fries were good along with the beer selection. Point is.... this place needs to refine and polish their food.

My initial thought when I visited was that this was one of the more hipster restaurants I had visited. From drinking out of mason jars, to the "recovered wood" high top tables, to the Maker's Mark bottle salt shakers and candle holders, the atmosphere of this restaurant was "Pinterest meets Modern Hipster." Even the menu was hip, with the brunch menu featuring mimosa-soaked french toast, belgian waffles in a red velvet donut glaze, and chorizo hashbrowns. That is to say that the "hipsterness" of it all detracted away from the restaurant -- I loved it! Portion sizes were huge. I ordered a club sandwich, and it was stacked a mile high! It honestly looked like one you would see in a cartoon. The ingredients were fresh, and it was incredibly tasty. The side of tempura-fried pickles was good, but possibly a bit too heavy as as side. Oh, and the sandwich was served on a cutting board shaped like Ohio, so there's that touch. Service, however, wasn't the best, despite the restaurant being fairly empty when we arrived. The waitress was sweet, although slightly flighty, and didn't ask what we wanted to drink aside from mentioning the mimosa special. Overall, good restaurant. Could use some improvements.

The food was awesome. The only reason for 4 stars is because I ordered my burger medium and it came out well done. They did offer to redo it for me, but I didn't feel like waiting.

The food we ordered (and from the looks of other tables) was delicious! I had the Chorizo hash and my husband had the peach and goat cheese flatbread. We also shared a side of local cottage cheese. The chorizo hash was delicious and my husband said the flatbread was good as well. The reason for the 4 - star- We wished that they had smaller portions and lesser prices so more things could be tried during a visit! However, this means we will have to go back!

Ate here with the wife last night. I really wanted to like this place, given that what it was replaced was pretty close to my favorite local dining spot. (Tangential, for those of you in the know, yes, I'm referring to Gallo's pit bbq. While the ribs were inconsistent, the cheeseburger, hot dogs, wings & nachos were always spot-on. Its closure brought a dark cloud to my dining options and has yet to be replaced, even though the menu at the Tap Room has improved). OK, back to the review. I was borderline 3,5-4 on this initially, but the more I thought about my meal and comparable restaurants I've rated at 4 stars, I thought this rating to be more appropriate. Especially when you consider that they charge $1 if you wish to switch out any of your sides. Seriously. I've been to fancier, more established restaurants without that nonsense. As far as layout & ambiance goes, most of the space is identical to how Pit BBQ was laid out. The big change was enclosing the patio and adding a fireplace, allowing additional seating during colder months/crappy weather. In the area, I've dined at 101 Beer Kitchen & The Pint Room -- I'd say this spot was somewhere inbetween the laid back atmosphere of the Pint Room and the upscale hipster appeal of 101 Beer Kitchen. Though, kudos to the Crafty Pint, as the highlight of the evening was likely the trivia cards at each table (and yes, they were getting mileage at each table). The food here had a definite foodie appeal, noticeable immediately from the menu which included appetizers like duck rangoon and pork pot skins, a duck flatbread and a chicken churasco sandwich. As creative as we usually dine, we went with the pretzels to start -- and were pleasantly surprised. These seemed to be lightly friend, and dare I say, to perfection on our order. The sweet n sour was an excellent pairing and left us craving chicken wings. I teetered on my approval of the beer cheese, though ultimately ended up finishing the portion provided, so, yeah, there's that. I had the chicken churasco and can honestly say that I definitely kinda almost mostly liked the sandwich I think. Yeah. I mean, the bacon was great & perfectly crisp. The chicken was well prepared. But that sauce and cheese combo -- I dunno. I think I liked it? But then again, more than a handful of bites left me feeling meh. I don't eat pickles, but my wife seemed to enjoy the fried pickles that came with my dish. And unlike the pickles served to another recent yelper, our pickles were well crisped. The cod was prepared well, not overly breaded or soaked in oil. However, the flavor wasn't remarkable. In fact, without the tartar sauce, I'd say it was a pretty bland dish. Service was mostly good, though I think my wife considered stabbing the server when he swiped in to take away the dipping sauces for her pretzel before she finished. Then again, we walked out of the restaurant sans felony committed, so yeah, mostly enjoyable. I want to give some of their other apps and the flatbreads a try, and we live so close, that we'll likely be back. Though, unless joining a group of friends, likely not in the near future.

First I should note that this was a brief visit, and I will probably update after I go back. Food and drink: this is very close to what I would label 'gastropub' (which I haven't tagged any of my other reviews with up to now). The beer selection is solid, with the right locals (hello, Bodhi) and out-of-towners mixing among the taps. Glassware was clean; happy hour pricing is good. My first impression of the menu was that it was too pricey and a bit off the wall (duck flatbread? Elk burger?) for a quick lunch, but the smoked turkey chili was good and spicy, so thumbs up there. Perhaps pictures of the food might help; my limited imagination and wallet aren't going to let me buy a $13 bison meatloaf sandwich sight unseen. Staff and location: There's no getting around that this is the quaint (and cursed?) old Hoggy's place on 161; they've added exterior seating and maybe a side room, couldn't tell for sure. I'd call ahead if I had any big group going there. The staff is very friendly, and the food and beer arrived quickly. Didn't really notice the decor mentioned in earlier reviews. Looks good so far, I'll be back to try something more adventurous next time, if they can beat the Hoggy's curse and stay open til then.

I was pretty excited to see this type of restaurant added to the area, it's just what my friends and I were looking for! Great craft beer list, but I'd love to have more Stouts and Porters on the list. My favorite is that they have $11 flights where you can pick any four off of the menu to try! The food was decent. I feel like their appetizers are the real winners on the menu. The chips and guac was really good (the chip to guac ratio was a bit off) and the Flat Wedge salad was awesome-- better then I expected. Otherwise my friend got the Mac & cheese and the duck flatbread which we both agreed were "not bad". I loved the atmosphere and the quirky style to everything. My flight was served in 4oz baby food jars (so they appeared) on this cute stand made of wine corks and old license plates. The napkins are bandannas and the salt and pepper shakers are made out of mini liquor bottles. My only dislike was the additional patio with cute "high top" tables made out of large barrels.... The concept was perfect but the execution was flawed. The stools are much too tall for the tables and you have to sit really awkwardly to fit at the table. I wouldn't recommend sitting there for now! Hopefully they will fix this soon! I will definitely be back!

New place in Linworth! The bar is extensive, so there is something for everyone. There's a range of house speciality cocktails to choose from, which are fantastic, and also 40 beers on tap, so a style for everyone! The food is delicious that I've tried thus far. I recommend the turkey leg & mussels. To be a Gastropub this place has a large selection on their menu & a great range of gluten-free items with great flavor.

We came here for dinner and it was great. They've done a lot of work to the restaurant itself, and it's really nice inside, I thought that the previous restaurant was pretty dingy feeling. The beer list is long, and they had a lot of awesome craft beers. The food was pretty amazing. We had the pretzels to start and then I had the chicken sandwich with the fried pickles and my fiancé had the crafty burger with mac and cheese. Both were so good. We will definitely be back.

I went to the crafty pint a few months ago and absolutely loved the hand rolled pretzel roll with dip. The crafty Burger was also delicious. That visit gets a full 5 stars. I have been raving about this place to my wife after my first visit. We never get out of the house after our second child was born and thought she would love the Crafty! Needless to say I'm very disappointed . The Pretzel roll I have been craving came out rock hard and cold.. My wife got the fish and chips and that was perfection. But I had the BBQ tacos and they also were cold. Our waitress was fantastic and tried to bring us warm pretzel Rolls.. They were very warm.. But now harder than a rock. I'm guessing they are pre cooking them now and then freezing to use when ordered.. Not a good idea. They taste stale and not fresh. So after all of this I still want to try this place again... They have great service and don't charge for beer samples like some places. And I really hope this was just a bad night for them.
(3)Ian B.
This place was pretty good had a decent menu however it was mildly limited. The service wasn't that great and the waitress was not knowledgeable with their list menu. We had the salmon, the burger, and the pork tacos and all thought they were average. The atmosphere was very interesting. It seems like they went on Pinterest overload when designing the decor. I would say it is the definition of trying to hard to cash in on the craft beer trend.
(2)Matthew C.
Food was bland. Shrimp and grits had a 1lb block of unflavored white grits with some diced tomatoes on top and some shrimp and sausage. Shrimp and sausage lacked flavor. Wings were in a too sweet sauce. My sons burger was cooked super well done. Mac and cheese was blah and almost no bacon. I was looking forward to a sour that was on the website but the beer list was different. Not a bad beer list but better at other spots.
(1)Stacy R.
We finally tried this place last week and loved it! The atmosphere and food was great! The wings are "fall off the bone" good and their sauce is tasty and not too spicy. I also recommend the pretzel bread that comes with two different sauces. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the drink menu. I realize it's a beer place, but the drinks outside the beer selection were just ok and thin. The beer half of our group ordered got rave reviews though! I'm sure we'll be back!
(4)Cody G.
We have been a few times and honestly I was surprised to see negative reviews regarding the menu. I agree with the "pinterest-explosion" vibe but found it to be in good fun - IE having Dr. Seuss books to bring out the checks. We have had brunch on the weekends and dinners multiple times here. Solid beer selection and I appreciated seeing a seasonal menu. We have had (knock on wood) good service every time. The apple pie with Fireball ice cream is totally worth getting at the end, but you'll need to share - very generous portions.
(5)Erica R.
The Crafty Pint is probably one of the most creative places I've been to in Columbus. The decor is delightful! I loved that the napkins are bandanas and the check is brought to you in a Dr Seuss book. The food is very good - I definitely recommend the chicken sandwich! There are very few gluten-free/dairy-free options, though, but the covered outdoor patio totally made up for it as I enjoyed watching a storm while eating my meal.
(5)Jeff R.
Cool atmosphere, great service, good beer selection, but not impressed with the food. I ordered the burger with fried pickles. The pickles were soggy and greasy, and the burger was disappointing, as well. Bun was stale, burger was dry and tasteless, bacon was fatty and limp. All around disappointing. Great local beer selections on draft, but the night I went, they were out of nearly half of them, including the 2-3 I wanted to try. Good addition to the area, but the food needs help.
(3)Angela J.
The decor of the place was great! Loved the outdoor patio as well! The only downfall about the patio is that our table was right beside a cart that the wait staff used for putting in dirty dishes. Every time someone tossed something in, it was extremely loud. Lots of banging and clanking. There has to be a better spot for the cart! Other than that, no complaints about the patio. Our waitress was very attentive. For a Monday it was very busy but she seemed to handle it rather well. The food was good. I ordered the pork tacos and a side of mac/cheese. Pork was delicious. Only downfall of it is that the juices saturated the tortilla and once you got to the second taco it was so soggy it made it impossible to eat as a taco. It was still yummy though. The mac/cheese was very creamy and very satisfying. All in all my experience at Crafty Pint was great! I will happily drive the extra 10 minutes to go here over The Crest. I still don't get what everyone loves about The Crest. My food has always sucked and service has always been horrible there. Crafty Pint could teach them a thing or two! Also, I didn't mention the beer list but they do have an extensive beer list with a lot of great selections. I didn't sample any though because of a bender I had over the weekend. Needed to give my liver a break ;) Next time though!

I visited the Crafty Pint last night for the first time while entertaining a group of visitors from out of town. Unsure of what the little gastropub was going to be like, we were delighted to find a great beer menu and a wonderful and attentive staff. Our waiter, Adam, and the bartender, Joe, treated us very kindly despite our large and somewhat demanding party. Needless to say we were very pleased with the staff. The atmosphere of the little gastropub is very interesting. If you like places that put creativity into their serving you will love this place. We were a little disappointed that they were out of a few things and there was no food options available for late visits, but this was very minor compared to the great substitutions offered and the wonderful service. I will definitely plan to visit again to try the full food menu.
(5)Joppy C.
Good beer selection, sure. And good food too. The big thing holding this place back for me is the prices. Just not a great value. Also, those weird chairs on the front patio have got to go!

Our one weekend a month dinner group met at The Craft Pint this past weekend and the group of 8 all had a great time. The food was very good. I had the Pork Tacos and they were delicious. I also tried some of the fried pickles which were very very good. The look and feel of this place is cool. The drink list is on old game boards and they bring your check in a kids book that everybody can sign/draw in. One person in our group said she felt like she was dining in 'pinterest' referring to the decor, I don't think this was necessarily a bad thing, but just a comment on its 'craftiness' (see what I did there). The craft beer selection is good. Definitely not the most options or highest quality, but you have about 2-4 offerings of each style. If you like craft beer, you'll find something to drink. If you like wine on the other hand, you are out of luck because they don't have any. Overall a great experience.

This place is a solid 3 overall. I love the eclectic decor. Another reviewer described it as "Pinterest threw up" - couldn't agree more with that description. We had fun with the Trivial Pursuit cards at the table even if they were from the 70's and some of the answers are no longer valid. Atmosphere gets a 5 - quaint, comfortable, hip without being pretentious. We waited a long time for our food on the day we went. In fairness, the waitress did mention that they were short staffed so, we chose to stick it out. I appreciated the heads up. Everything on the menu sounds delicious and creative. I opted for the club sandwich. This is not your run-of-the-mill club. I loved the unique flavors added to this staple however, I feel like the bread ruined it. It was just on some plain, sort of toasted white bread - I probably would put it on sourdough or a flaky artisan white bread to amp it up. The fried pickles were amazing: thinly sliced, battered and fried just right. Also, tried the goad cheese grits. These probably would have tasted better had they been warm but, they came out too cold so they were just ok. Prices are decent. Staff was friendly. I do want to come again to try some more things on the menu.
(3)M.Elizabeth M.
Good food, extensive beer selection and the service could not have been better! Though the menu was pretty tame for a gastropub, it's probably adventurous for most guests. I have few complaints though, considering this is Linworth and I'm happy about this addition. I do hope to see the menu change regularly since I live close to this establishment and appreciate the convenience of popping in for a weeknight dinner or weekend brunch.
(4)Rob R.
The blueberry salmon was wonderful and the beer selection is extensive and largely Ohio - specific . The dessert selection Is limited to apple pie but you won't be disappointed. A big big thumbs-up! Ditto for our waitress, Emily. Thanks for the great service!
(5)Michele M.
Had the grilled hurricane salad. Not good. The lettuce is literally wilted ... And has no flavor or substance. Highly disappointing. Waitress also very new and couldn't describe the dish before I ordered.
(2)Logan D.
They were out of a lot of food options when we arrived. Food was decent but not great. Did enjoy the macaroni and cheese side dish. One of my companions enjoyed his Hazlenut Beer. The wait staff was friendly.

I really want to like this place. But after today, I don't think we will be back. We have gone a few times before, and the food has always been overpriced and just ok; but it is very close in location to us. The bartenders are really great, however, that's about it. The food is extremely overpriced. A spinach salad with a small piece of salmon is 14$. Fish tacos are 14$, and there is very little fish in them. Tonight we came ready to relax and eat. We ordered drinks and fried pickles. The pickles are really good actually. It went downhill after that. It took about 40 minutes for our food to come. My salmon salad arrived with no dressing and missing the peppers. When I told the server, he apologized and said they were out of dressing and peppers,,, ok? They comped the salad but I wouldn't have ordered it to begin with had I known. My friend ordered fish tacos. There was barely any fish in them. She also found a random piece of steak and a bone. She told the waiter and he said he would be right back, but never came back, so she just picked at the tacos where the meat wasn't found. The waiter asked how we wanted to split the check. At that point I asked if he was planning to comp my friends tacos. Eventually the manager came over. He apologized, kind of. But said to my friend "well did you eat the tacos?" Which, yes she picked at them because she was hungry and didn't want to wait another 40 minutes for another dish. The manager agreed to comp half her tacos. Which is fine I guess. Better than nothing since she did manage to eat some of her meal. Anyway, I hate to complain about food that was eventually comped, but we probably won't be back. Which is a shame because the bartenders are great and the location is too.

Went in on a Wednesday evening, so I'm not sure if this is the norm, but it was a good place to gather for drinks and conversation. Not obnoxiously loud, food was good, decent beer selection, and very good service. Had a pretzel and the dipping sauce was really good, I'd recommend trying that. Overall a good experience.
(4)David G.
Great little place for drinks and food. Service is good, beer and booze selection is great and the service top notch. I also hosted a group event here and they took great care of us. Don't hesitate to go.
(4)Kim L.
Stopped in for lunch today....tried to order a wedge salad for a starter, they're out of lettuce. Switched to pretzel braids, also just ran out of pretzels. If we weren't so hungry we would've left. I realize that pint is in the name of the restaurant, but it's also classified as a restaurant. Get your shit together Crafty Pint!
(1)Walt R.
Excellent service, food was outstanding not a big draft beer drinker but waitress recommended a couple and brought samples. Will be on my list of return restaurants when in the area.
(4)Todd S.
Place seems like it has potential. We were excited to try the menu, and we're happy with the beer menu. There was one problem, we were seated quickly by 3 people, then sat there watching waiters walk by and look at us for 20 minutes (not even water) . We tried to motion someone over multiple times but were ignored. Not sure what was going on, but we had enough and walked out. Fix the service and I might come back. Visit was 9/2/2014 at around 19:00. Too bad....

WOW. The ultimate rip off. They cut corners and over charge. I work nearby here and was dying to give this place a try because of the cute name and rustic appeal. My boyfriend and I sat down last night and ordered a bottle of wine (it was half off wine night other wise we probably would have done pints). We skipped apps and were ready to dive right into dinner. The service was awkward but not awful and everything came out in a timely manner. I ordered the Flat Wedge and my boyfriend ordered Carne Asada Tacos. When my wedge came out it looked skimpy. I was extremely confused as to what was on my plate, which all and all was probably worth 99 cents - if that. The menu had described a delicious bountiful salad including green onions, tomatoes, apple wood bacon, pickled eggs, blue cheese crumbles and more! What I received looked like amateur chef night, and even that is being generous. NO green onions, NO bacon, NO blue cheese crumbles!? Essentially I received half of a head of lettuce, chunks of purple onions (not green), pickled eggs, tomatoes and a blue cheese Dressing (not crumbles). I am not a picky eater, I never send things back. I didn't even send this back but I was just completely shocked that the waiter would even feel confident or comfortable setting this down in front of me with half of the ingredients missing. When he came back to check on us I asked politely if there was supposed to be bacon on the salad (I did not mention the lack of other ingredients). He went and checked and sure enough, Yes there was supposed to be bacon. He told me they would have to prepare fresh bacon and asked if I was okay waiting. I felt like it was almost and attempt to convince me Not to get the bacon. I guess the point here is- who ever was cooking last night cut corners on my salad completely. I paid $8 for something that was worth 99 cents and by the time it was half worth eating my boyfriend had already finished his meal. It is very telling that a restaurant's chef AND waiter are comfortable serving that quality of food coupled with a complete lack of presentation. & If they were out of the ingredients, I should have been made aware as I would have happily ordered another item. Boyfriend's tacos were nearly served in the exact same manner. Cold flour tortillas, probably straight from the fridge, w a heap of the Mexican steak and a skimpy side of guac. Underwhelming taste and presentation, again probably worth $3 when he paid $14. Long story short, we are so happy we went bc we now know and can tell my coworkers & friends to pass on the Crafty Pint. We paid $50 for a meal that was mediocre at best. A total waste. We both agreed we probably would have had better luck at a drive through. If you are going for the craft beers, they do have a variety but this is Columbus and you can get great craft beers ANYWHERE. Save your money, don't waste your time and avoid this place at all costs! *note I RARELY eat bacon but this salad clearly required it.
(1)Tara S.
It's December and they rely on space heaters to heat the dining room. Needless to say, we were shivering throughout the whole meal. Ordered crab cakes to start, not bad but they were slightly cold. For dinner, I got the salmon. I ordered it medium but it was dry and way over cooked with no pink in the middle. The asparagus and grits it came with were flavorless as well. My bf ordered the fish and chips, not a bad portion size but also flavorless. We got several mixed drinks as well, they were all watered down despite fancy ingredients like basil that made them seem trendy and creative. Would not go there again, and would not recommend it.
(1)Michelle L.
40 beers on tap and great servers make this place one of my faves. The bartender, Josh, is always very helpful and quick to let us taste whatever we are thinking about drinking. Their flights are the BOMB esp for people like myself who are trying to find their way in the vast world of beer. You can't go wrong with their burger because it's freaking delicious. The grilled cheese is damn good too. AWESOME SPOT!! Go check it out!!
(5)Mark E.
I went to the crafty pint, just after they opened, and had a very pleasant experience. It was still a little bit overpriced but not as bad as some Gastropubs. I started out with a beer. The selection was pretty good but I've pretty much seen them all before. Then I ordered some chips and guacamole. The chips were fine, nothing special, but the guacamole was very fresh. It had just the right amount of chunks, mixed with creamy, to make it just right. For my main dish I ordered the pork tacos which came with more chips and guacamole.lol. The flavor of the pork , spicy slaw and pineapple mango salsa was a great combo, although next time I go I'm going to order extra salsa on the side. The service I had there was great. The server was very knowledgeable about the food and beer selection. All in all it was a good experience.
(4)Megan S.
Traveling for work and yelped it from the worthington area. Good beer and cool vibe. Sat at the bar, ordered a salad and bowl of chili. Bartender sampled a cpl options and easy to sit and watch tv, enjoy dinner. Will be back with better weather and more options for seating. Comfortable on a solo visit
(4)Keith R.
Great food. Nice craft beer selection. Friendly staff. The only downside is the parking is limited, and the place itself is on the smaller side. Not sure of any good way to get around that though. Highly recommend the braided pretzels as an appetizer, and the creole shrimp and goat cheese grits with andouille sausage. Delicious!
(4)Katie C.
My husband & I visited last Friday evening for the first time & had a great experience! We just grabbed two open seats at the bar & enjoyed a few samples of beer before we picked our drafts. We started with the pretzel braids and would highly recommend them! The chicken sandwich is amazing & the macaroni & cheese is a great side dish. The turkey leg was okay, but the chicken sandwich was better. All food & drinks came out quickly & the bartenders & staff were very personable. Great place to go & we will be back again soon!
(4)Joey G.
Excellent beer selection -- especially of newer and established Ohio craft breweries. Excellent service and ambience. Quirky but not kitchy environment. Food Ive had has been very good so far.
(4)Becca D.
Got to try the new menu as soon as it came out. My first time in the dining room and the environment is awesome:warm and casual. Food is excellent, service is good (better than any that have occupied this building before) and the beer selection is great
(4)Jay J.
Why put thousands and thousands of dollars into renovating a place and then fail to season the food or train the servers? Menu was somewhat cool but food came out cold and bland. When I go out to eat, I don't want to have to season my food. Also lots of obscenities coming from the kitchen. Made the experience very uncomfortable. If you're gonna cuss like Gordon Ramsay, you better cook like him. On a sidenote...I'm strongly considering boycotting all new places with any variation of "craft" in the name. It's getting a little embarrassing. Won't be back...at least not until the next tenants take over.
(1)Angel S.
No way will I go back here again. To start with, service was agonizingly slow, by the time we arrived, ordered beers, appetizers, and dinners and paid it was two and a half hours. The beer was fine but I can get that literally anywhere around here, and for cheaper. We ordered the cheese tray which was advertised as coming with an assortment of cheeses and house made jams with crackers. Translation: 4 very small portions of cheese, some baked pita bread, and ONE jam, maybe it was raspberry, I don't know. A torn piece of paper accompanied the platter with a handwritten list of the cheeses but without specifying which was which. There were also some pepitas and two caperberries. It was weird. I ordered for dinner the carne asada tacos with black bean and corn salsa. It says it come with chips and guacamole and since I hate guacamole and love black bean and corn salsa I asked for a side of the salsa. Forever later, out came three soggy, falling apart tacos filled with a minuscule amount of carne asada (literally like 3 little pieces of meat on each taco) and PICO DI GALLO! The server said they were out of he black bean and corn salsa. If a customer orders extra of something that you end up being out of perhaps it would be gracious to ask if they would like the substitution or if they would like to order something else. Because I would have ordered something else. There was also supposed to be a cilantro sour cream but that was absent as well. I guess, really, it's unfair to judge them as "tacos" since the runny PICO DI Gallo caused the tortilla to fall apart as soon as I picked it up. At the end of the day I had two beers, one cheese and jam app, and 3 soggy salsa tacos and my bill was $41.00. No way will I ever go back here or recommend this place to anyone.
(1)Lauren F.
I think this place has gone downhill since it opened. I'd give it 2.5 stars. I live very close by so I would love to have a great place nearby but I think this place is about to go the way of Hoggy's and Gallo's. I have been here a few times before and have always enjoyed it, but my most recent trip has changed my mind. Though I do agree with another reviewer -the mixed drinks are weak as a baby. But they may have got rid of the mixed drink menu or else our server forget to give it to us. It is more of a beer place anyway. I suggested we eat here on a Sunday and I was disappointed when we arrived that they had removed all the vegetarian items from the menu which they update periodically. They used to have good veggie flatbreads and salads but now there is nothing for vegetarians to eat other than a cheeseboard or some sides. Don't bother checking the online menu. It is not up to date as I learned. I ordered the blackened salmon salad without the salmon. What I got was a large bowl of spinach, some of it wilted, a few onions, the tiniest particles of goat cheese crumbles, and beets which were obviously from a can. There were one or 2 leaves of spinach that may have accidentally touched some salad dressing but was otherwise dry. I asked the server for some dressing to make it palatable but she forgot. By the time it arrived my husband had almost finished eating. We were then charged the $14 full price for my salad which is one of the worst salads I have ever had in my life. The food quality has taken a dive and the service was definitely off as well. The place was pretty empty so I'm not sure what was going on. I doubt I'll be back after that experience.
(2)David N.
Neat rustic decor, great fresh food, cold craft beers. Excellent menu. Really, the only minor complaint is the parking situation when it gets crowded.
(4)Patrick S.
I want to like this place more than I can based on my experience last night. I like the gastropub concept. their menu is pretty interesting. great selection of beers. and the service was good and very friendly. in the end though its about the food. and the food was mediocre. we got the pretzel bread starter and it was good but the cheese sauce had clearly been held and had a "skin" on top. that's just aesthetic but not appetizing. my wife and I both got burgers - which IMO a gastropub should rock and the CP does not. overcooked and from all appearance it was a food service burger; pre-formed and tough. if they were. fresh made they were over handled. it was supposed to have "pub ale cheese" (or something like that) and mine had barely any. the promised arugula...I had a few pieces, my wife a virtual salad on top. everything was just inconsistent and mediocre. I've had worse burgers, but this one cost $12 so I have higher expectations. not sure I'll go back.
(3)Mike F.
The atmosphere was nice, if not a little cliche, going all in for the gastropub idea. The was some quality beer to choose from, but not extensive. I don't know that this is a deal breaker since some beer lists are so long it's easy to get overwhelmed. My biggest complaint is the cost vs quality comparison of the food. We ordered the chips and guacamole appetizer, and while the guac was very good, there wasn't very much of it when compared to the massive helping of chips. My wife ordered the turkey leg after seeing it delivered to another table, but was rather disappointed. The meat was very tough and greasy, and had little flavor other than just "smoke". I ordered the duck flatbread, and wasn't impressed. It wasn't bad, but all I tasted was the pile of cheese. No hoisin sauce, no duck, just cheese. To their credit, my mother in law ordered the blueberry salmon and raved about it, though I didn't try it. After our meal, I was pretty blah on the whole place, but not quite negative. After paying the bill and seeing how much it cost to feel "blah", I don't think I'll be back.

Great food, great atmosphere, great location... terrible service. So disappointed sitting at the bar last night with the bartenders' lack of attention. There are 8 barstools at the bar and two bartenders. Yes they are filling drink orders for the restaurant but holy moly. We arrive at 5:15 last night, had 2 beers each, ordered two appetizers, and left at 8:00. They would walk past us without asking if we needed another drink, if we wanted to order food, or anything. Our check was sitting there with our credit card, ready to be paid for 20 minutes. We got fed up, left cash instead, and left. The worst service I have had at a restaurant in a long time and we have been to a lot of places.

Fabulous food and craft beer! The owner paid very close to details from the unique salt and pepper shakers to sugar bowl to pint glasses to handkerchief serving as napkin. I highly recommend pretzel braids for appetizer and hamburger that is even served on cutting board cut out in shape of Ohio.

Overall, the food was good. They need to work out a few kinks though. The honey bourbon wings had a nice smoke flavor. The beer sauce used in the mac & cheese was creamy and tasty. The pretzel braids were soft and delicious. It came with 3 dipping sauces -- the cheese one is the same that's used in the mac & cheese, mustard was my favorite, could've done without the honey-like one. Things went a little downhill from there. The crab cakes had too much filler -- it was like 80% bread, 20% meat. Also, I didn't taste any shrimp. The garlic aioli consisted on a small squirt on the top. A sauce cup of it for dipping would've been nice. The meatballs were tough and too chewy. They should slow cook for longer so they fall apart in your mouth. Observed a lot of food sitting at the expo without a heat lamp and thus getting cold, including ours. Saw some burgers sitting there for a good 5 mins before someone came by to pick them up. They need to work out the timing between the kitchen and servers to limit and/or avoid this.

Came for lunch. The place had one other table with people at it, two guys at the bar, so not busy at all. . The first iced tea was bad. He brought another one out without me having to ask, so supposedly he knew the tea was bad but brought it anyway? I ordered the burger on his recommendation and asked to substitute fries for the pickles. He brought a burger out with pickles. He told me that he would have the kitchen make fries. The burger was impossible to pick up and eat as it slid apart when you tried and made a real mess. But the meat was very tough. A tough cheeseburger? I took about three bites of it and could not eat any more of it. Besides being hard, it had an off putting flavor. The pickles were ok, but I much prefer the pickles at old bag of nails. The fries were good, but it was too little too late. He came and took my plate away and saw how the little I had eaten, but he only gave me a free iced tea. There were no questions about whether or not I like the food? It seems a little odd. I will not be coming back, nor would I recommend you go.

Stopped by Sunday afternoon. Very friendly staff and chef. Interior is very nicely done with a strong sense of a craft pub. We didm;t stop for the beer, unfortunately, but the food. And it did not disappoint. The tempura battered pickles with cinnamon are incredible. Burger, chicken sandwich, turkey stew all were terrific. Waitress steered us away from the pork tacos. Love when you get honest answers! By far and away, a great new gem that we will visit again. Even had a great kids menu served in a lunch box!

I drive past it every single day so I decided to take my family there last night. Delightful experience. Excellent bier selection. The food menu was relatively limited in choices, but looked very well cooked. More on the healthy side of things (though fries were available.

I've been here several times and really enjoyed the great beer selection, delicious food and fun atmosphere. The service is attentive and friendly. I definitely recommend everyone gives Crafty Pint a try:)

I've lived in the area for over 7 years. The spot that is currently the Crafty Pint has been four different types of food establishments, so not a good track record. I sure hope the owners of the Crafty Pint read their Yelp reviews and make adjustments. Atmosphere: Pretty cool décor, liquor bottles balanced by railroad spikes hang on the wall and the salt/pepper shakers are mini liquor bottles as is the candle on the table. But the drink menu on game boards and food receipt in a kid's book that can be written in by patrons seems to suggest this place has an identity crisis. Service: Fair. We were seated immediately but then waited 5-10 minutes to even have someone acknowledge us and the place was not busy at all. After that, our waitress was fine but not great which I would expect for the prices charged. Drinks: Good beer selection but limited. My spouse had a German beer and half a liter was $6.00. The same beer at a nearby German restaurant in a full liter size glass is $9.50. Drink menu is limited and EXPENSIVE. I tried the Linworth Lemonade and it was nearly flavorless and in a small glass. I should have sent it back, and I wish I had for the $9.00 price. Obviously the owners have purposely not included drink prices on the menu for a reason. CP does not have wine. Food: I had the Blueberry & Goat Cheese flat bread. It was very good but it came without the balsamic drizzle. My spouse had the Pork Tacos and he liked them very much saying they had good flavor and the mango salsa complemented the spiciness of the pork. Negative: Vegetarians beware...there isn't much on the menu for you beyond the Flatbread. How hard is it to add a few decent vegetarian dishes to the menu?! Portion Sizes: About the right size for a single serving for the dishes we ordered so don't expect mega plates of food. One complaint: there was nowhere near enough guacamole served with the chips that came with the Pork Tacos. The guac was in a plastic condiment cup normally used for ketchup or mayo---really?! Pricing: 1 beer, 1 cocktail, Pork Tacos and Blueberry/Goat Cheese flatbread came to nearly $40.00. The pricing will kill this place if they don't adjust it. While the owner may think this area can sustain the price structure, it won't. Not sure we will be back anytime soon especially since there are many other choices with food that is on par with this place but are more affordable. Plus the lack of vegetarian offerings puts me at a disadvantage while my spouse can choose from the entire menu. Hope the owner makes some adjustments.

Crafty Pint is the best thing that has happened to the corner of 161 and Linworth (caddy corner to Cameron's). I have been a Worthington resident for years, and there have been many BBQ restaurants in this space - none of them came close to what Crafty Pint offers. The restaurant is staged beautifully with unique wood tables and a fireplace at the front. The details were carefully considered - all the bar rags and napkins have a bandana theme. I ordered the blackened salmon salad and the Brookside Blackberry Cocktail - both were delicious! Just a side note: the cocktails all have a Linworth/ Worthington theme and are strong! I will definitely go back, and recommend this gastropub for anyone who is looking for a casual, but nice dining experience.

Do you want to sample the craft beers of Ohio? Go to this place. While there check out the delicious food too. 2 trips have not disappointed!

I want to love this place but I just can't. The menu is great, the atmosphere is fabulous, and the location is so close to my house, but they continue to disappoint. I've been here 3 times each time thinking this time is it!! While the menu looks great on paper most of the I items fall flat. I ordered the quiche trio for brunch this morning and what came was 3 luke warm egg "soufflés". No crust. Isn't that the best part of a quiche? My husband had the chorizo hash which the flavor was good but had a cold cold sauce over his hot food making him initially think the good was cold. A little mixing and things where better. The real bummer about this place is the service. I'm fine if you keep my beer full. I'll wait if I have a drink but to wait and wait and not even have a drink order taken after our appetizer was placed on our table and he ran away before I could even tell him what we wanted. The food came out in a timely fashion once we flagged him down to place an order. The service is what really pushed me over the edge with this trip to the CP. I think I'll stop wasting my money hoping thing will change.

$9.00 for Bulleit bourbon on the rocks!!! Yeah, I'd say these guys are pretty crafty alright. Decent atmosphere but definitely not worth rediculous drink prices.

Try and beat this draft beer list Worthington (nobody comes close maybe pies and pints). This alone makes Crafty Pint worth your while. Patio seating is rare to find in this area of town so you've got to add at least one star for this perk. Service was prompt although some of the printed drafts were out of stock at the time (to be expected for rotating taps - no worries plenty of options). Perhaps a daily chalkboard menu would help here. Food was good not great (might need more exploration) and the bill was above average for what we ate. Four stars for beer maybe three for food price to quality ratio. Cheers.

A buddy of mine suggested going to this place so I had no idea what to expect. The beer was good (how do you screw that up) however a little overpriced, the food was really bad We shared Pork Tacos and Wings, Pulled pork was dry and tasteless I would have to say the worst I had ever eaten, The wings sauce was okay but the wings were so over cooked the meat fell off the wing before you could get it your mouth. I did pay for meal so I could write this review you can never complain about free food. If the food does not get better I give this place less than a year.

I seem to be in the minority, but I really did not like the place. Seats are crammed together, and the place is tiny. I ordered the mac & cheese which was very soupy and a salad was very good. Prices were really expensive and I just did not enjoy the atmosphere.

I wanted to love it. The food was decent but fries were cold and so were the meatballs. The server was odd. She seemed to loiter and chat to us but we always seemed to have empty plates in front of us. The ambience is great but found by the end of the meal a little overwhelmed by all the kitschy items (the strainer bowl, plastic "cast iron" plates, Dr. Seuss bill jackets, bottle lamp salt & pepper shakers). I applaud the creativity though. Maybe it's Gastropub exhaustion but I can't pinpoint why exactly, I just didn't love it.

If you've ever had Spagio Celler's duck pizza you should never order the Crafty Pint's duck flatbread or you will be terribly disappointed. There is hardly any duck or hoisin on the flatbread leaving a bland and dry flatbread that has no taste.

The restaurant is really cute. Food was great and the staff was friendly. They were going through some growing pains (to be expected) but overall the service was good. The beer selection is great but with so many rotating beers they were out of several things we wanted to try. The server had a list of what they were out and what a good substite would be but it just seemed a bit cumbersome. I'm looking forward to going back and trying out their selection of small plates and flatbreads.

Complete and utter knock off of 101 beer kitchen. The food left a ton to be desired and they were out of tomato juice for bloody Mary's as well as the only dessert on the menu. 13 bucks for an ok at best burger with a small side of pickles fried in a mediocre tempur batter is highway robbery. The decor was nice but lacking direction and the beer list was great but impossible to read as the print was too small. Save your time and go somewhere else sure they've got a ton of great drafts but between out of stocks and mediocre food it's not worth the $50 we spent on dinner.

Loved this place. The food and service was excellent. Great atmosphere and lots of different locally brewed beers to choose from. Definitely will be back.
