Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I am so sick of hearing about Brian D.'s picky pizza eating experience. Who loses a star just for being cut in squares? Just ask for it in pie cut! Just sayin'. Anyways... I love coming to Terita's. The pizza is great! Sometimes the cooking is a little inconsistent. For example, we ordered on a Monday night and had a very crispy bottom with a centimeter of crispy edges, and then the next night the pizza was more flimsy and didn't have much crisp. Many people I'm sure would complain about darker edges, but I loved it that was so I was a little disappointed that it didn't turn out that way the second time around. The dough is thin with a slight airy thickness, a good quality sauce, and thin, greasy pepperonis that curl up and have some spice to them. The cheese is a good quality, but isn't a strong flavor. We also ordered garlic bread with cheese, and that was good too. It has plenty of cheese and plenty of garlic butter. My only issue is that you are required to bring your coupon in. Unfortunately, my printer is out of ink, so I couldn't print out the coupon and they require you to physically bring in the coupon to get the $1.25 off, even if you mention it on the phone. This situation makes me slightly irritated because the area I live in has at least 15 other pizza shops that are super close, but yet I am driving 20 minutes to pick up my pizza at Terita's, and the least they could do is to make it easiest on the customer so that way they are likely to order again, because I'm not sure when I'll be getting ink, since I don't print often. If I know Terita's is less likely to accommodate me for my coupon, I'm more inclined to order from someplace that I don't have to hassle with physically bringing a coupon.

So, any place that has been dishing up pizza since 1959 and only has four Yelp reviews (all five stars) had to be a Tuesday night pizza stop. Terita's is about as far north Linden as you can get. It's situated in a small brick building with neon signs and plenty of well-lit parking out front. Dining in is not an option, but inside you will encounter a STEADY stream of people flocking in for the pizza - definitely a good sign. The service was very friendly. We fired up our normal pep and shroom. After visiting their website and seeing a photo of an edge to edge pizza (bane of my existence) I opted for "thick crust" in the hopes that I would get a rim . . . no such luck. Terita's serves up a traditional Ohio pie - edge to edge toppings with the rectangular cut slices (as I've mentioned in the past, for me that's an automatic one star deduction). The crust was nice and crispy with some decent air pockets. The sauce had some great tartness with an added spicy kick and nice herb finish. The pepperoni did not stand out as anything spectacular, but was good. The mushrooms were a bit rubbery (cannned, I suspect). Terita's is generous on the toppings. The cheese to sauce to crust ratios were all within acceptable parameters. If you enjoy the pies served up by the likes of Pizza House and Enrico's (based on the reviews, most people do), then give Terita's a try. Their pizza is at least on par with those two local favorites. Moreover, they've been serving it up since 1959 - they're clearly doing something right. We definitely enjoyed Terita's - a solid three stars.

We live 30-minutes away and whenever we have an excuse to be in the area, we stop by for a pizza. They have great salads and subs too!

Plain and simple... You want the best pizza in Columbus? Then go to Teritas! No need to say anymore. Trust me. Oh...and get an order of Italian wings while you are there.

"Matty's Big 10 Pizzas of Columbus": I am a bit of a fanatic when it comes to the old school pizza joints here in the capital city. The franchise chains and sell-outs (Donato's and Rotolo's) have nothing on the original pizza parlors that serve up our uniquely Ohio take on a true pie; thin crust, toppings to the edge, and the square "city" cut. That being said, there are very few of these family-owned establishments left, and even fewer that I haven't tried at least once. My quest this summer is tough work; to hit as many as possible and rate the very best. Terita's on Cleveland Avenue has everything you could want and has easily earned a spot in my "Big 10" with a pizza shop so classic and simple, it is nothing short of genius. No delivery. No dining room. Just great pizza served hot, fresh, and delicious at a reasonable price. Amazingly they have been doing it on the North side of town since 1959. Do yourself a favor and look for the vintage "Pizza Man" sign and step back in time to this town' pizza roots. I absolutely love this place!

refrigerator broke, and we wanted pizza for dinner and leftovers for lunch. gf got two pizzas tonight at cuccionova. I got one from teritas. we had a pizza contest. teritas blew cuccionova away. it was very good. I love the little pepperoni. it's crispy. it has a slightly sweet red sauce. it's perfect. after I had a few slices, I cheated and added some fresh banana peppers and basil from the garden, and some shiitake that was being ruined from the wet cooler. this will be my local go to pizza place!

YUMMMMMM This has been a favorite for most of my life. LOVE the pepperoni and nothing really compares. Johnny's on Parsons Ave is still my favorite but this is just a different kind of favorite. I wish they would ship this stuff to me, it's THAT GOOD! Again a very unique flavor that I have not found anywhere else

So far this is the best pizza I've had in Columbus. It's in a dinky little place off Cleveland Avenue in an older neighborhood, but the pizza is fantastic.

This pizza is amazing. The thick crust is thicker than Papa John's but not quite as thick as Pizza Hut. It is an airy dough but with a crispy crust. The sauce is sweet and is complimented very well with pepperoni and bacon. Some bites are good and other bites are out of this world . There is a spice in the sauce that really makes this pizza rank in my top three pizzas ever!

This is the best pizza I've had in Columbus. Funny thing is, I've lived 1 block from Terita's for 15 yrs and didn't know what I was missing. They use provolone and mozzarella, never skimp on the toppings, the crust is crispy on the edges and nice and soft in the middle. I always get the veggie with chicken. LOVE this pizza. They even ship via UPS because there have been so many people who move out of Columbus and want Terita's.

Really tasty old-school Cbus-style square cut pizza. We tried a half sausage and hot peppers and half works, light sauce, extra cheese. Really solid and the sausage was uniquely tasty. However, with so many other Cbus-style pizza options near me (Pizza House! Villa Nova! Gatto's! Dante's!), I'm not sure if I would drive 15-20 minutes out of my way to Cleveland Ave. from CVL. But, if you're in the area, or you're driving back home from Easton, definitely a must-try. Please note that they are not open for lunch.

Terita's Pizza at 3905 Cleveland Ave. off Morse Rd. on the north side of Columbus is owned and operated by Tom Iannarino, son of the late Gus Iannarino who runs this very successful business. Terita's has always relied on "word of mouth" to spread the news of their great tasting pizza and the policy, "If we please you, tell others...if not tell US!" has proven to successfully spread the word about their great pizza. On the rare occasion when I've called Tom to talk about something I did not like about a pizza I'd ordered, he either gave me an immediate credit or made a new pizza for me to correct the problem. (That's the way he maintains the quality of his food and relationships with his customers. ) My favorite pizza when I've felt daring, has been a large pep., mush., and double-cheese. Otherwise, I omit the double-cheese element and just enjoy the deliciousness of the pizza.

Really good pizza. Ordered t and picked it up 15 mins later. Good layer of fresh toppings and really delicious. Would definitely order the special pizza again! The homemade sausage is really good!

MY NEW FAVORITE PIZZA PLACE!!! I called in my order and almost changed my mind after speaking to an employee who sounded like he hated his job. But I am glad I decided to continue with my experience. The pizza is excellent!!! I ordered a pepperoni! Pizza 1-5=5. Pepperonis 1-5=5.

First time ordering here we were looking for something different from Pizza House and Pasquales so we tried Teritas. It was good would we go out of our way again that would be a Nope! Loved the pepperoni. And the sauce had a bit of a kick we just didn't get excited about anything on our pizzas and we got a large pepperoni and a small Teritas special pizza. Just average for us nothing to write home about.

I've been going here since I was a kid, and this pizza is one of the things that have kept me in this neighborhood. There's nowhere to eat inside, but it doesn't matter. The pizza is always hot, and always amazing. The smell alone can make you crave it.

This was a high quality pizza that I have been wanting to try forever. They are only open from 4-10 so I can't ever get them for lunch and I live outside of Columbus so they have been on my list for years. I finally got them tonight during my OT. It was def worth my wait. I got a pepperoni, mushroom, and sausage. The sausage is house made and has a great spice to it. The pepperoni were crispy and they do use canned mushrooms but that is my favorite way to have them on a pizza(The extra juice makes it so they don't dry out when they cook). The pizza had a fantastic crust with a sweet and well spiced sauce. I took off 1 star because one of the quarters of my pizza had burnt and you could taste it when you ate that side of the crust. If it wasn't for that and being impossible to get in there then it would definitely be a 5 star from me. Give them a shot when you are in the area (as long as it is after 4 but before 10)
